AUCTIONEER 1: 220, 220, 220. Going twice.
Got a [inaudible] Dead man walking! AUCTIONEER 1: [inaudible]
Sell it to Darrell. You got it for 210. DARRELL: I took a gamble
on this art locker. Hopefully, it'll paint
a pretty picture. This is pretty cool. Just by the materials, it looks
like this is all hand-sewn. That's a $100 bill. Dude, this locker just
keeps [bleep] the presents, a whole Royal Doulton tea set. MAN: You're kidding me. You know, this could be
worth 150 bucks right here. When you use Grandma's
crochets to wrap your art, your art might be pretty good. MAN: Yeah DARRELL: Yep. This is an advertising
poster right here. Look at his work. That is absolutely bitchin'. That's a $100 bill. MAN: It's some kind of print. I want to see that. Set it right here. Ah, [bleep] yeah. Holy [bleep]! Yeah, a Western scene! MAN: And they're signed. Oh, yeah, baby! Looks like they're
signed in pencil. If we've got 50 prints
with signatures, we could be talking a [bleep] fortune. Once again, we got
a butt-load of art. Don't touch them
with your hands. You never know
where you're going to hit anything, any place,
at any time, anywhere. We're taking our art
print to Out West Boutique to see if it's our meal ticket. WOMAN 1: This is lovely,
really, really, lovely. This piece is called
"Riding the Chuck Line." Duane Bryers started his career
in art as an illustrator. He was a master of
the Western art. Part of why he's so
popular with his fan base is because of the details. And the hat design, the
shading on the shirt coming on down to his strap is
all very authentically done. But the bottom line is,
there's 50 pieces here. WOMAN 1: You have--
DARRELL: Oh, yeah. MAN: We have a whole
run of them, yeah. WOMAN 1: Oh, OK.
And they're numbered? MAN: 51 through 100. What's it worth? What's it worth? That big question everybody
wants to know, right? Oh, yeah, absolutely! OK, so all together, for all
50 prints signed by the artist, you have a total of $20,500. [laughs] DARRELL: Woo! 20 grand! Sometimes, I even amaze myself. First unit of the day. And it's a good one. Somebody give me 800. Somebody give me 900. [inaudible] And 1,100. [inaudible] 11.
JUSTIN: Yeah. AUCTIONEER 2: We got 11.
Now 12. [inaudible]
- Yeah. Rene, don't you have to
save that money to go eat? 13.
Can I get 13? 13. I've got 12 and 13.
And 13 now. 14?
- Yeah. AUCTIONEER 2: Then
we make it 15. Jesus Christ.
AUCTIONEER 2: 14. And then we got 1,500.
And then we need 16. Yeah.
AUCTIONEER 2: 16. 1,700. And then I got 17 And 18.
17 already. Can it get up to 1,800?
- Yeah. AUCTIONEER 2: And 18.
Now 19. JUSTIN: That's it, Mary?
No more? You do the talking. I do the buying. Simple rule.
AUCTIONEER 2: Take another look. We have 18.
1,900. We had 18. Oh, he got quiet. AUCTIONEER 2: And now 1,900. Sold it to you, Rene,
your way. $1,800 wins it. All righty, guys, second unit. Can I get 13?
Can we make it 14? 14.
And we're looking at 15. Can we get 15?
We have 15. 15.
16. And 15.
- Yeah. AUCTIONEER 2: Now 16.
16. 17.
1,700. Are you sure?
Do you want back in? 1,700. Sold it to you at 1,600. Rene gets it again for 1,600. Oh, I got it all right. Thirsty? Nah. I'm hungry-- for
the next locker. All righty, guys. Here we go, the
last of the three of the ones we've sold today.
7, I'm going to make it 7. I'm going to make it 37.
Do we have 38? 3,800? Let him have it. AUCTIONEER 2: 38. Let him have it. Sold it to you. Rene gets it again,
the last one of the day there on the three
that went together. 3,700! [cash register dings] GUNTER: Oh, I can't
wait to see this one. How many lockers was that? Three lockers. I paid $7,100. Killer merchandise. I got a whole army
of my relatives here, including my dad, Gunter. Just start stacking
it down there. Oh, here. Aw! Murano. That's a city in Italy, Murano. And it's world famous
for the glassware. I mean, they make the best. Oh, wow, this is all
beautiful art glass. This is all
mid-century art glass. Wow. Italia Opalino. Murano, Rosaleen Pink. The asking price is $250. Oh, wow. That's beautiful. WOMAN 2: Oh, yeah. Look. Right here, there's at least
100 pieces of Murano glass. You know, some pieces
will be 75 bucks. Some pieces will
be 400, 500 bucks. Wow. RENE: So let's be conservative. Let's say 150 bucks apiece. That's $15,000. WOMAN 2: Oh, my god! That's more than double what
I paid for the whole truck. WOMAN 2: Unbelievable. So this one's 15,000. How much is the other shelf? RENE: These big vases,
you're looking at 300, 400, 500 bucks with Murano. Conservatively, there's at
least another $10,000 there. So between the two
shelves, that's $25,000. That's 4 times my investment. There better not be
an earthquake right now. Let's price some
of the furniture. We've got lots of
mid-century stuff here. This is 400 for that row. I want to $700 for this row. There's another
$600 in this row. Let's say another 700 bucks
for this row right here. 200 bucks for this row. So these two rows right
here, at least $1,000. And all this furniture right
here, at least another $4,500. I know we have this wooden
crate here somewhere, right? I've been dying to see this. WOMAN 2: Careful. Don't crack-- OK. OK. Just don't touch me. OK, I'm sorry. OK. Put it down. [grunts] That's at least 200 pounds. Wow. You're strong. RENE: [grunting] WOMAN 2: Oh, please
don't hurt yourself. [grunting] I gotta
look up online. I mean, this is-- I don't know how to price it. Let me just type
in large crystal. [chuckles] That can't be right. WOMAN 2: What? RENE: This is 26 inches. It has the point,
which is important. There's one at 16 inches, which
is half of the size, 60 pounds. This is twice the
size, 200 pounds. $15,000. That's that for half. This one right here, a third
of the size with less stones and only, like,
20 pounds, $6,000. So I'm going to
say conservatively for the two, $25,000. WOMAN 2: Yeah, if not more. And I couldn't even
find any that big. This is amazing. There's another 280
boxes in this truck. Easily. Plus 20, 30 right here. Let's be conservative. Let's say 75 bucks a box. The way this is
going, it's probably going to be a lot more. But let's just say
75 bucks a box. That's another 22,500. Unbelievable. I am good! Rene! It's past 3 o'clock. I've got to be
home, take a shower. I have a dinner date tonight. Well, I got bad news. We're working all night tonight. What do you mean "bad news?" Guess how much we
made on this locker. How much? 80,500. Oh, my god. All right, here we go. All boxes from China. We're going to bid at 7,000.
You're up. This is a showdown. AUCTIONEER 1: Can I
get a bid at 8,000? - Yes.
- I'm looking for 9,000 now. - Yep.
- 87. I have it against
you. $9,000 to you. $9,000. Shaking his head no. 9,000.
92. 50. 9,250 going once. $9,000. 9,250 going twice.
Gotta go. Guess what, Mac.
You get it for 9,000 bucks. Woo! [cheering] DAVE: I took a gamble on
this unit and paid 9 grand. Well, this could be
a very good sign. This looks like some kind of
light display or something. I got butterflies, man. I can't wait to find out how
much money I'm going to make. It looks like there's
over 100 boxes here. It could be just an assortment
of so many different things. I've never seen anything
like it in my life. If I wouldn't have showed
up today and called in sick, this new guy would
have owned this unit. That's not acceptable
in my mind. I'll get my crew out here
first thing in the morning as fast as I can to
separate what we have and start doing our homework. I did some research and I found
this company called Stage-Tech. They're a professional
lighting company. And I think this is going
to be the best place to get my lighting systems appraised. Cue music. That's it. You got it-- OK. Wow. Look at that. You got beams and everything. I guess this just works
off of sound then, right? Yeah. We have about 25 of these and
about 75 of this model here. If I wanted to
sell them quickly, what do you think a fair
market price to turn them and burn them basically? Um, uh, I'd say you're looking
at about 300, 400 bucks a unit. Staying home sick would have
cost me at least $30,000. I don't think I'm ever
going to have a sick day again as long as I live.
