That's really cool. I can't move. I be broken down. All right. [auctioneer chant] 100 bucks. Jarrod's bidding? Perfect time to mess with him. Two. [auctioneer chant]
- Yep. 400.
Can I get 5? I'm at 5.
Can I get 600? Six. Nine. Yeah. 13. [auctioneer chant] Yeah. Yes. Two. Wait for it. Yeah. [auctioneer chant] Yeah. I got 23, 24, 25, 26. Wait for it. 28, 27. Yes. 28, 29, 29. Now's a good time
to drop it on Jarrod. Yeah. I got 3,000. What about 3,100? Going once. 3,000 bid for 3,100 going twice. Jarrod, 3,000. $3,000. $3,000? I don't even need a
security guard for Jarrod. But he need an EMT after
that because he hurting. Ah! I can't move. I be broken down. You ready for this? I'm ready, Jarrod. This is the one. I spent three
grand on this unit, but it's a small price to
pay if I can save Long Beach and prove Brandi wrong. Brandi, come a little
closer, please. You can look at this stuff
while we're pulling it out and tell me if it's worth
keeping or if it's trash. OK. It's an off-shore
division tracking system. Maybe they tracked fish? Yeah, there's an
anchor on it, and it says it's a tracking system. Yeah, it's some kind
of tracking system. It definitely looks scientific. You know, just this
morning, Jarrod watched three episodes of "Mr. Wizard." We're getting it looked at. That's for sure. Brandi thinks this
thing's a fish tracker. I just want it to
track down some money. Don't get too close
to the sharks. So excited right now. We're at The Aquarium
of the Pacific. And we're hoping researcher
Josh Jones can tell us what this fish tracker is worth. This is the uh-- the gizmo. OK, so you brought
something cool for me. What you have here is an
acoustic tracking system. Right here, you attach
an underwater microphone. And you take another
device that makes a sound, makes like a chirp or a ping. Chirp! And you put it on something-- What was it? Chirp! [laughs] So that little thing--
the pinger-- makes a sound, the hydrophone that's
plugged in here receives it, and then this unit tells
you how far away it is. What's missing
from your system is the thing that makes
the sound and the thing that receives the sound. You use it to listen
to sounds of animals. Whales and dolphins and
porpoises, they all make sound. Fish make sounds. They make grunky sounds
and farty sounds. You can listen to a fish fart. [laughs] You can do that with whales. I don't know why
that's hilarious. I actually have a hydrophone. If you want, we can put it in a
tank and see if we can listen. See if the fish are singing. OK. [ominous sounds] OK, so we're ready. All right, so the
hydrophone's in the water. And here we go. Here we go. [chewing] That's him chewing. That's crazy. You hear the crunches? Oh, he got it. [rustling] That's what it sounds like
when they're eating your foot. That's really cool. So what do you think? A system like
this, oceanographers can pay upwards of $5,000. 5 grand? Not for this system,
the newer ones. What's this one worth? Maybe 300 bucks. At this point, I might as
well jump in the shark tank. $200 paper weight. Thank you. All right. See you guys later. Looks like Darrell's
interested in this unit. Let's see how much
I can run him up. And you're going to get
the unit and the bike stand. [auctioneer chant] Five right there. 1,000.
11. Now 12, 12. [auctioneer chant] 15 now, 15, 15. 2,000. 2,000. 22 and a half.
[auctioneer chant] 25. Bid 25. I got 3,000 bucks. [auctioneer chant] 3,500, 4,000. Did I miss the pot of gold
in the back of this unit? 5,000. [auctioneer chant] Yup. Oh, now who Hester's
ready for battle? Well, come on chump monkey. 55 [auctioneer chant]. 57 and a half. I got 5,500. 57 and a half. Yup. [auctioneer chant] Bring it on. Yup. They can go at it. These idiots are
bidding themselves up. Yup. 60, 350, 60, 450, 60, 550 now. I'm starving for attention. [auctioneer chant]
6,750 going once. I've got 6,650 going twice. Fair warning. [inaudible] Sold it your way. 6,650 big bucks, Darrell. Now, that's what I call
a blow to the empire. Dave's going to have to
make an appointment with me to come visit his bikes. That's all I can say. I beat Dave out of this
motorcycle locker for 6,650. And now I'm back
to pick through it. The heck is this? What is this thing? It's a blow gun. Oh, wow, look up in there. The darts and
stuff are in there, but poison can
linger in the darts. Don't touch the darts. We might go get
that checked out. I'm excited. This blow gun looks authentic. I can get another
$1,000 from the box of monitors, the
motorcycle gear, and the miscellaneous crap. But I'm still two grand
from breaking even. Got him. That rabbit's dead. You just got done telling
me about some poisonous ones that you touched
and got real sick. It's true. My lips are numb. I'm upside down on the
locker I paid 6,650 for. So I'm bringing the blow gun
that I found to primitive art collector Bamboo Ben. Don't laugh. That's his name. Bamboo Ben. Yeah. Hey, we've bought this thing. I don't know if it's a Margarita
straw or whatever it is. It's a blow gun. To me, it kind of looks like
it might be from Borneo. It's a bamboo piece. It's a really thin,
hollow bamboo. This is for a belt clip. So when they have their
sash on or their belt, they put it on there and
they put their darts inside. The more markings, the more
animals they've killed. Oh, OK. This guy was deadly. Here's a lizard, a snake. Right here we have monkeys. What do you think
thing's really worth? Well, if it was an original
from the 1800s, I'd say $2,000. Not bad. Nice. Where are we at with this? I have a buyer in Vegas
who owns a tiki bar. He might be interested
in it for, say, 50 bucks. 50 bucks? With the holster, the
blow gun, and all the darts, you can get them online
for $39.99 Sorry. I'm just going to pack
that up and take it home. This locker was a total bust. But seeing Dave put those
two little motorcycles in those three big trucks
takes the hurt right away. You know, this is a very
competitive business. I might need this. All right. If you're almost ready to
go, I'm almost ready to go. Here we go. How much, how much,
how much money where. 500. - [auctioneer chant]
- Six. Six there.
[auctioneer chant] seven. 1,100. 11 there. [auctioneer chant] Yup. It looks like Ivy might
have got a little too drunk. I just might have to
take advantage of that. [auctioneer chant]
What about 14? What about 14? What about 15 now? Yup. What about 16 now? What abut 1,600? What about 17 now.
I got 16. - Yup.
- How about 18? 17, 18. How about 18? 1,800, 1,800. What about 1,850? 1,800, 18 and 1/2. Yup. 19 now. 1,850, 1,900. 19, what about 1,950. 1,950 here. 1,900. I think you paid
the Hester tax. [auctioneer chant]
1,950 going twice. [auctioneer chant]
got it going on. Sold it to you, $1,900. Ooh, baby! I just can't help myself. When I see tools, I
always spend too much. I was really happy
about this room, but the Dave Hester tax
makes me a little worried. Dave bid me up to
1,900 on this one, proving that he's the
biggest tool of them all. Oh, we got a $10 light here. These are big drill bits here. This is probably a
$200 bucket right here. Lot of drill bits in here. Another 200 bucks. (SINGING) I love tools. Tools love me, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. (SINGING) With a
pick ax, table saw, $100 score, all these
tools go in my store. Here is the item of the day. This right here is a jackhammer. I know these run from
a couple hundred bucks to a few thousand bucks. Phew. Hope that jackhammer's
worth a whole lot more than I wish it is. Yo, EJ! I'm taking my jackhammer to
EJ from Sanaya Construction to see if he can
jack me out a profit. Wait. Hey, Ivy. - Another day of work, huh?
- Oh, yeah. Nice to meet you. Speaking of work,
I'm hoping you can tell me a lot about this. [drilling] Totally. Huh? Let's check it out
and see how it sounds. OK. Let's give it a shot. I think this is going to work. Come on, EJ. You got to work. Cross those fingers. [drilling] I would say if you got this
in front of the right person, it's worth-- [drilling] That was a close one. But I knew my beautiful
tools would not let me down.
