could be getting 12,000 300,000 dave Hester is the cast member that viewers love to hate and apparently he was a major headache for the producers of storage wars - in 2012 Hester sued ane claiming that he had been kicked off the show after complaining about how the producers were adding valuable objects to the lockers from the storage hunters to find known as Sultan Custer alleged that the producers started salting lockers in season 1 and after he complained only lockers that other contestants bought were salted and not the ones Hester bondsman Hester claimed that as a result of this he appeared to be less skillful than his competition and was forced to close some of his shops after he filed the lawsuit revealing the entire show was fake the producers fired him so he sued them for wrongful termination lawsuit dragged on for two years and had even originally been denied by a judge fortunately for everyone involved a settlement was reached between Hester and the network for an undisclosed amount and Hester was able to rejoin the cast of storage wars on the downside fans learned the truth about the show being fake and decided to stop watching as a result of lawsuit never stops when I asked number 2 Barry Weiss has left the show absolutely is Frank Gutierrez is a very important artist I kind of feel it's cool really is just really arguably the most popular person on the show Barry Weiss had been one of the original cast members on the series Barry developed a large following in his role as the show's comic relief however he proved that he takes his money seriously when it seemed like the show was in a ton of turmoil Barry decided that it would be better to get out of there while he's still cooking he left the show to start his own spin-off called buried treasure sadly the spin-off was unsuccessful so Barry returned to the storage wars cast unfortunately for fans his return was short-lived as he left the show for good in order to go back to his old life as a professional slack fans didn't know what was going on in the beginning and only noticed that waste is no longer on their favorite show after he left fans said the show was ruined causing storage wars to lose viewers Frank de terras this is a real Frank Gutierrez this thing could be worth thousands number three to dramatic with all the action taking place on and off the camera storage wars has managed to become a show that's less about storage hunting and more about drama one of the most dramatic scenes in the show took place at an auction in Palm Springs California after dave Hester and dad Dotson were involved in a physical altercation the fight started as a result of Dan overlooking fellow cast mate Mary's bid and Dave calling him out for it well Dan apologized to Mary Dave kept instigating and making comments about Dan's abilities as an auctioneer the situation quickly escalated this the two men yelled in each other's faces until Dave pushed Dan and turned it into a full-fledged fight Laura Dodson jumped in as well sketching Dave's face before he pushed her to the ground eventually the men were separated by security and Dave was kicked out of the auction fans were disappointed by the violence of necessary drama with many with many calling for gays to be permanently kicked off the show I would say that you have maybe about 300,000 [Applause] member for cast Jarrett's fault Barry Weiss wasn't the only member to leave the show Brandon sheets Darryl's son is fired from the show on as a result of budget cuts move greatly upset Brandon who then went on Twitter rant in a series of tweets Brandon said he had better things to do than be degraded by a show and people who simply did not care about others and their quality of life Brandon then said he was still grateful for the experience but wished it have been much better than it was he tweeted that he was glad to be free of the anxiety and could do things the way he wanted now the high drama behind the scenes may not always be obvious when the cameras are rolling but it sounds like storage wars dealt its fair share of anxiety and stress which has taken a toll on many of the cast members in addition to Brandon's drama there was later a rumor going around that the other three cast members have been dropped for the show these rumors alleged that A&E had dropped darrell Sheets in auctioneer's Dan and laura dotson for the show because their salaries were too high and he denied the rumors claiming that people just hadn't seen them because not every cast member is on every episode however these rumors helped to ruin the little trust viewers had the producers of the show oh the pool protectors right here number 5 Daryl's Pedro ok so I brought some stuff for you look at awesome I'm hoping you're familiar with this the gambler has darrell Sheets is known as on the show got an unwelcome surprise when four dishes changed the terms of your contract in 2015 darrel one of the original cast members who have been in nearly every episode since the show's inception had been downgraded by the by producers to a recurring character an addition producers wanted to cut his pay from 30,000 per episode to a mere 15,000 per episode darrel decided to fight back against the slash pay proposed by the producers and threatened to quit he said that he believed the producers were trying to get him out so they could bring on younger members in order to boost their ratings maybe not have to pay his highest salary in the end he decided to stay in the show although fans were unhappy with the apparent mistreatment of the cast by producers 5 grand it's like easy money double our money and move on after we print some shirts Bozak number 6 mark balelo stuff you don't mean I can take a peek right now storage locker Jenga the current cast member mark balelo was known for his hilarious rivalry with storage wars resident villain dave Hester unfortunately mark was struggling with his own personal demons behind the scenes it was reported that he had been secretly convicted of drug possession I was held in jail for 45 days and then later arrested for being high on death by a Oh is charged with simple possession and for being under the influence of the controlled substance both felony charges being on the show didn't eliminate the problems that he had might even have made the Moores sadly mark committed suicide two days after being charged and sources reported that he had been at a bad state following an arrest seemingly leading to his suicide fans were left brokenhearted over his passing and added another dark cloud to a show that had seen more than its fair share of scandals number 7 Dan and Laura's bias IMing Justin in Austin from dead and buried screen printing check out what we found cuz we're not keeping it well it looks like you got everything you need how much worth well with the press well it's clear that storage wars is not your typical auction you would still expect that at least the auction itself would be fair unfortunately auctioneers Dan and laura dotson are known to let their emotions get in the way of their job dan Hester has frequently complained that the Dotson's overlook his bids on purpose as a result of their personal dislike pester pester also mentioned how overlooking the bids affects the fairness of the show while the drama between the three is understandable they're professionals and therefore they should act like 100 paint finding boxes and boxes of this guy's art this is absolutely frappin number 8 Brandi surgery so it was I like being surrounded by ladies wow we could do some other things too well it is apparently no secret that that produces storage wars we'll go to some pretty drastic lengths in order to increase viewers this is probably one of the most extreme Estes lawsuit revealed the producers paid for a female cast mate to have plastic surgery in order to appeal to the show's largely male audience well the cast mate was not named the internet speculated that it was none other than brandi passante speculations have been that she has gotten a boob job in order to increase TV ratings but none of these claims have been confirmed by Brandi or by Amy I knew women's clothing was expensive but damn [Music] thanks for watching
