all right so we got something to test fly here a couple weeks here fantasy a flight and I've got the Stinson l1 here behind me I'm about to go do a test flight a little bit they're going to get the airplane ready last time I flew it there was a lot of deteriorating performance in the airplane and the engine basically and I basically I took off on my long run right here which is 5,000 feet and by the time I was at the end of the runway over the interstate clearing the powerlines at the south end of fantasy of flight here I was only a hundred and fifty feet in about 65 miles an hour so I nursed the airplane around I landed the thing I told the guys you better figure out what's wrong with it because I'm not flying this thing again so it's a beautiful airplane we got Grand Champion warbird it's under fun this last winter or the winter I think last winter and anyway so it's a beautiful airplane it should fly beautifully let's see if we fix the problem so what explain to me exactly what what we've what we've done so like a plan it was kind of dogging around a real dog scary actually and so first thing today we check the prop and at the right prop dimensions first degrees the prop is pretty close there's a little bit adjustment there so we put that back to where it's supposed to be as far as one of those four is the lope yeah okay so that's back where it's supposed to be and then we did some run ups on and we found it was 300 rpm low or shy static static so then Wayne started opening some of the rocketbox covers and found two cylinders that had the Rutger box the push tube was completely off really pulling the bow on the valves lob yeah so I had just two dentists elders Oh thrilled oh yeah what was flying and then he checked the valve clearances on all everything okay and Dell Clarence's were weren't what where they're supposed to be so you set all those okay and throw we've been right on when we got out three hundred fifty rpm jump increase I'm very great oh my god sounds a lot better and didn't we didn't we end up Santa I got another governor or well that's right we've got another the prop Governor on saying when the Patrick arc was using that you was finally was working a little bit better okay I've seen the cycle faster okay now we couldn't do any adjustments on the governor until you fly it right and it's okay I'll just yeah I have to pull it back in late over speed yeah okay because before that's what was happening I was taking off and you know getting like 2120 300 or something and then is it was as I was climbing up picking on speed the RPM would increase over the red line I was having to pull the prompt and didn't run up yesterday with the prep governor and it was 23 static it's what we were getting sec don't know what its gonna do when he okay yeah okay alright well I'll just keep an eye on that hopefully this thing's gonna have some performance because last time I flew it I took off on this 5,000 foot runway and I was like 150 feet over the power lines on the outside of the interstate that was not very I just came around on land I said that hit it so well good because it's such a beautiful airplane man we need to be flying and pre-flight everything is pretty much so pretty good I got the wings or both it on and spider-man some spiderwebs okay fighters they love the slats but they don't wait for the slide I'm leading it the rear seat belt Pat's it here right yeah good hottest thing is nice brand champion sq cobwebs up there blow those off there they like all the airplanes Petros have a loyal pressure problems also like we had in the beginning right and he would played around that he found that this particular governor which is very similar to the original one kind of solved that issue rose oil pressure and because we had all those issues and that was it was lighted to the governor was set to high and this and that and so this is the one that he recommended okay so I'm looking for potential differences in oil pressure maybe on that's right because when we first started I started complaining on when the temperature went out we went we looked and we found that it was still within the limits yeah but it just didn't seem normal to me cuz it doesn't the 680 guys say that that the oil pressure follows rpm on this engine this is the way it is yeah okay so it's just roughly and yeah you know inside it's got leaky okay banning all right and it's been pulled through yep alright let's see what it'll do brakes are still sticky next annual Patrick Patrick sent some new seals that he had made up some different seals okay and I'm gonna pull the Masters and rebuild them and hopefully that fixes all right see if that works zero the altimeter alrighty you know we haven't fifteen the 15y yeah yeah we just get Paulus off the deal to make sure there's no water in the tank and we we sunk the main down occasionally but if for some reason some water vapor gets up there the water goes to the bottom so when you check that you make sure there's no water in there so : should be good to go learn [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] Sensa not lovin room what a freakin different while oh my god oh my god I'm glad I put fuel in it because when we filled it it said it was like 30 gallons and when I got up there I was level it read 20 that was a good move rpm freaking / really don't need to totally crap what do you think absolutely on the morale so that's cool okay mags master fuel and the fricken of course it's cool today at the animal for winter Florida and it was fine so like 65 was all a guy the oil pressures actually never freakin dropped the whole time when I was doing everything and it's up almost to a hundred so it actually needs to be tweetly a little bit ya know allows I've got I did make it that's saying 60 to 70 and or 70 70 is what it's supposed to be at is where this is more okay fuel pressures a little bit high and you remember we had the cylinder head temp I have complained on the gauge wasn't right because it was wrong it was marked wrong right well now it's like it was just blow to was like 190 degrees C so that was good glad I put fuel in it full temps great hill pressures a little high old pressures high tack is freaking perfect Wow and it's just all my god now the one thing that is kind of surprised me was it's cool today so we've got a like I'm showing 30 inches of manifold pressure sitting right here on the ground okay but when I went to full throttle I only got about twenty eight so I understand what that would just I'll mention it the main at the wing cutter down I've got pictures of everything just freakin nine and dead leaped off the ground night and I just get the lift like 60 miles an hour and I'm like whoa yeah good job man I don't give you a good job so now we got it the beautiful airplane applies beautifully so cool thanks effort oh my gosh what a different night and day so anyway I'm a happy camper [Music]
