for me I just think it's just the the loop and the formula just doesn't appeal to me but clearly since you just dumped 18 hours into it it works for you [Music] well why not watch it I just studied I was watching Bobby play it for a little while the other day and he was carrying an egg for a long time like several more than several minutes I'd say just carrying an egg around which was I guess the objective it's like watching Wow yeah kind of that quest sucks oh okay well I guess that's just a unique example but an L got carried right but is that so that's not like indicative of normal behavior like I know ideally hunting monsters right that's the big thing you're gonna you're looking around trying to find the big beasties to take down with your buddies that's the big appeal but like that quest is the actual worst thing of the game oh okay that's good then they make the egg quest to be so I just kind of really bad vertical slice I guess huh I got a really bad unique experience but I shouldn't take his indicative of the whole package I have played the game as the thing go so I'm not I'm not basing it entirely out of that so I should mention that like I played a couple hours of it and I was like this is ice I get it like it's a grind and then like you get to go ultimately at the end of the grind you have the satisfaction of taking down the big bat beastie together and then yeah you get the harvest of it and use the resources not print your gear etc etc I get that I get it I really do but I guess it's just not for me like I said that's a bit right yeah okay OOP OOP is it right underneath him it's like right there or something no I'll probably be better off going this way anyway yeah I think I think it's just mostly that it is a it's a loop well if this is my interpretation of it anyway it's a loop that he's kind of built around taking a long time isn't it I got a lot of what's going on with that game is just kind of the satisfaction of how long the build-up is to that ultimate death blow I still haven't found the door certainly a game that requires patience right good what am i doing what am i doing what am i doing what am i doing yeah yeah yeah why I don't take the climbing gloves I I know I don't think it's like a an opinion unique to me I think this is a pretty common opinion in spelunky but climbing gloves can hurt you maybe not more often than they probably not more often than they help you but they hurt you sometimes they they put you in situations where you don't realize that you're gonna cling onto a Ledge that you would prefer not to cling on to and in the heat of the moment that can be like a life-or-death decision or like a like a life-or-death modifier I should say so I prefer not to have them when I have enough mobility ie enough like ropes or obviously like when I have a jetpack I definitely prefer not to have them it just makes it easier for me to move around more quickly because I'm so much more used to like the muscle memory behind moving around without them is so much more built-in to me than the muscle memory with them so it's just easier this way I guess however I do you know of course when I'm cognizant of it I I adapt and I'm able to use the climbing gloves and use them to my advantage which is great you knew I wouldn't say it's like a widely accepted strategy though or believe that it's just a bad item like I think probably well like beginning to intermediate spelunky players should take climbing gloves 100% of the time probably because that's not really a factor in their play they're more interested in being able to do what the climbing loves to provide obviously that's that's the way to go but when you're a bit more advanced it becomes a consideration yeah let's see just bail but we have an old body to kill it's much more important let's see I've got a pretty good setup for this actually assuming he doesn't shoot me in the face and he's bouncing around are there two of them down there I think so yeah that might be - all right let them float around a bit oh [ __ ] that's no good you want to wait till there's not too many fish in the sea aka fish directly nearby ye assuming you still feel up to playing it after the head you might have all of your sanity drain at that point but I think that's the other ideal way to do it oh wait there we go there we go let's see
