IT IS AMAZING
These guys seem to be pretty popular here, so I figured I would go ahead and post their latest video in their "experiment" series.
The bottom line? Salt is salt. You don't need to use fancy salt with sous vide because it all just dissolves.
They did like the smoked salt, but you could probably get similar results by adding a couple drops of liquid smoke.
I think a more interesting experiment would have been to experiment with adding salt at different times (dry curing, immediately before cooking, after cooking but before searing, after searing, etc.). It would have also been interesting to look at the effects of freezing pre-salted meat.
I have this flaky charcoal salt that is black as night. It's really cool cause it makes the char looks even better lol.
Does the sear on that seem kind of weak and uneven?

I thought I read that it was better to bag with aromatics but leave salt out and then salt before searing. Can you test that next? I love your test videos and we've changed how we cook several times based on your experiments!
I love that slow motion close up of all the salt. Seems almost dirty
