Someone Is Watching Me Through The Window

oh we're back after the horrifying nightmare that we had last time of someone sneaking into our house we're back for fears to fathom i guess episode two called norward nor would hitchhike i think this one's longer yeah 40 minutes uh and again psychological horror game and these are stories submitted by other people saying that this i don't know if it actually happened to them or if it's just stories but it says if you have a story to share you can send it into fears fathoms stories gmail.com so i assume that this happened to somebody or at least is some sort of experience that they've gone through but if the last one's anything to go by this one's gonna be just as horrifying if not twice as horrifying because it's twice as long [Music] the whole thing broke that's the scariest thing so far here's the fathom episode 2 norwood hitchhike june 16th this happened to me when i was 19. oh i have to skip this okay i'm a little over 21 now i still remember this very clearly because of how creeped out i felt i was a bit hesitant to write this out for the internet at first but getting it out may help even if just a little bit as one of those people that loves gaming conventions i'm one of those people well before pandemic i'll go to every convention i get a chance to and sometimes even meet some of my online friends though my parents weren't always thrilled at the idea of me going on interstate drives but a plane ticket would have been too expensive this convention i went all right i was at went great and it was now the day to drive back home when i set off i soon realized the traffic was horrible i decided that i'd take the long way to avoid the traffic it was a little over a 12 hour drive that blows my mind that you can drive 12 hours across america in ireland like left to right or right to left the entire width of the country is like a four hour drive if not a little less and top to bottom it's like six hours maybe 12 hours is nuts i don't know how anybody could drive for 12 hours that sounds like torture oh i actually have to drive damn okay i need silence driving at night is really therapeutic for me eden williams i should not be reading messages oh lots of them the same discord we got ticks so if i can see the car let you know if only gonna take a mile for a while okay plans on oh i crashed this is why you don't drive and text at the same time okay give me a call when you reach back to your cave okay dad not sure if this will be it'll be this lifetime though weird that you have your dad in as aidan williams and not as dad jesus stuck in a jam okay now we have a text from dad wait i'm confused is aidan williams not dad but you said dad oh it was a joke you were like oh thanks dad you're halfway through the drive i realized i was low on gas okay i turned the radio off because i i like the ambiance more this oh this is very ombiomatic told you to take that flight yeah dad whatever oh you're not my real dad oh holly it's going to be late when you reach back uh hope you're feeling all right i have a feeling that i'm not going to make it back apparently in the last game i played as well that i could have survived what was happening i decided to wait i had to i had to wait under the bed but i like my version better okay can i get can i get petrol or diesel sorry gasoline can i fill up my car okay can i turn off the radio i think it's gonna be copyrighted i don't want to get that scared right [ __ ] shut the [ __ ] up i would like one gasoline please for my car so i can drive home and see my dadio right there people head down there this time of year be careful what do you mean for about a century now many people have been going missing down there and people who weren't looking for them never returned wait even like police locals say the norwood valley monster had torn them up and hung them upside down on trees can i use the toilet because i'm about to [ __ ] my pants it's not cleaned that's okay prom night some say that she seeks vengeance after she was murdered there regardless she's out for blood whatever you do never ever under any circumstance pick up a hitchhiker those people out there on the road putting their thumbs out that ain't right that ain't normal they just aim okay wait someone's in my car hello uh excuse me hello what did you do to my car i throw a skateboard at you ah okay i actually need to bring that back to aiden that's this one's not mine oh god i can't put it back in no oh i'm taking it all out oh oh god oh no oh i've messed it up here take it take it all i don't need it take it everybody take it [Music] i couldn't try to leave my stuff behind oh now we gotta put it all back in okay skateboard is gonna be a problem that's pretty good seriously what did you guys do to my car you put a tracker on it oh god wait that first thing went without getting gas i didn't even put the gas in the car i'm such a doofer oh silly i can't even see behind me where am i am i about to crash and die okay okay there's a pump too all right get out get a fuel up this is taking me forever nice basically what i did before was just gave the guy ten dollars and that was it and then left i'm so generous since my mom asked i had to buy something for milo from the store oh okay did my mom ask oh i don't know if you'll find any shop at this hour but we're out of dog food could you get something from milo i'll pay you back i heard a car a car on a road unheard of okay dog food dog food dog food uh dog food dog food dog like beer dog really like beer oh dog food hey pat pat what are you buying how's your night going he just looked at me big mistake perfect exactly as nature intended all right peace out homies i'mma gonna drive home all right so you're saying if i see somebody don't pick them up all right being on the road you do realize a thing what's that monsters truly do exist oh and every single one of them looks like just you just looks like you and me it's not expired or anything right why would it be expired also it's probably just like dry dog food oh no oh you bastards you cut my wires oh my car's gonna break down and i'm gonna be stuck here and somebody's actually gonna come up and grab me saw a movie like this actually that's them has to be wait no they were in a van beep beep get out of the road well this stinks i'm just gonna keep driving behind them if something happens to me then the people in this car can help unless they're awful people oh they're taking off oh no come back please i didn't mean it you're not all for people you're great oh dip i can't see anything i'm gonna crash [ __ ] they're behind me oh oh no wait are they eyes on the road is the road 30 miles an hour 30 miles an hour an order is taking you 12 hours wait now it says 20. what am i coming up to oh this is the bridge isn't it oh oh shit's about to go down here every bridge i see like this in a movie or a game is bad news it never ends well no one ever gets through a bridge like this cleanly oh it's happening wait the end is in sight i'll admit i was a terrible driver oh come on i just dinged it a little bit that's unfair i'm trying my best here all i got is a west this is lovely this is a nice drive though you had to go to the senior crew didn't you oh is that a previous victim am i next uh oh oh he survived i guarantee you if i killed him then i immediately would have got caught and killed myself it's karmic retribution now that i've saved the life my life will be saved never mind there's another bridge there's this very weird thing about that night i saw two big logs in the middle of the road blocking the way oh no it's almost it almost seemed as if someone had deliberately put it those there but i didn't think much of it at the time they absolutely put them there on purpose oh this is so scary should i back my carob i have to move the lives go ahead okay wait no no no no no no did i just put them back wait how does this work am i doing it wait no stop oh oh no hello what in the blue blazes is happening no no you son of a [ __ ] the car wouldn't start back up wait but the car's on you can hear the engine taking over and just like that i was stranded in the middle of nowhere with no phone service oh tits wait something popped up no thank you starting to believe whatever the bull crap okay would i be lying if i say if i say i didn't feel slightest of unease i don't mean to make this sound like a cliche horror story but throughout my life i was told not to take rights from strangers yeah that's a that's just a good piece of advice that's not from a horror story but at that moment i had no choice i'm the hitchhiker terrible idea awful idea 10 23 pm i'd probably just stay in the car wait it out till morning walk somewhere i saw a caron earring jesus jesus jesus hey hey do you think i'm standing here for the good of my health should have moved the logs back let him crash oh your head would have to stop then that's how you do it you you hitchhike you put logs down on the road don't do that 10 43 p.m i mean how many people are going along this road at this hour this feels like you'd see one cow or one coward one car every six hours one car every six hours hello oh yes sir why am i so eager i'm clearly gonna get killed i hear whispering in my head oh it's that guy you're the girl from the gas station thank you so much for stopping what are you trying to do out here i think my car just broke down i can't call for help there's no phone service you think i can get a ride where are you heading to the nearest stop where i can call for help hop in thanks so much could you wait till i get my stuff hurry up just throw it in the back be here for too long oh that was yours opening up i thought somebody was opening my car i don't like any of this here we go whoosh please don't drive off of myself this is very expensive a gucci bag one more i have six things and two hands do i not need the dog food [Music] okay i don't need dog food apparently we're good i just need my skateboard how about i hang off the back with the skateboard and you just drag me i can throw better than that okay that's it okay i'm done finally now hop in and be quick okay probably shouldn't have walked around the front of the car in case you drove over me i don't like this so you won't tell me who you are where you're going i'd rather not say if that's okay you say so why would i tell you anything i mean thank you for helping me but you're a bit of a freak so just saying you're really lucky i had to be on this side of the town tonight i must say you're one brave young woman how's that you got any clue what happened to your car back there i think it was the battery are you sure it's my dad's it's pretty old are you going to tell me what happened are you in on it i feel like he's in on it since he was like big mistake so what do you think about what he told you back at the gas station he really creeped me out interesting idiot tells that to every person traveling down here i think you're the norwood hitchhike killer person i think you're the monster i do know karate if you come at me i'll bust you up so is it true what the monster let's see i've never seen the monster for myself but there are there are some things and i'm afraid your car breaking down could have been one of them hey listen i don't want to sound like that [ __ ] but just remember this you don't bother them then you don't be bothered good advice just don't don't mess around with people they won't mess around with you no piss in anyone's corn flakes you know i'm sorry for being a jerk to you before i'm not the best with people that's okay just don't murder me oh it's a whole two hours later after a little bit of a small talk he dropped me by a motel apparently they offered roadside assistance besides i thought i could use a little rest be careful there are all kinds of people out there he said ominously before leaving you're gonna drove that fast when we were in the car together okay well this is nice cozy actually not cozy at all every time i see a motel in movies it's usually something bad is happening at them because shady people go there [Music] uh so i don't not approved for occupancy well goody glad i'm here ding ding sign me up the man was putting out the creepiest vibes imaginable yeah i'll need a room to shake up for the night how much is it for a room 40 for single pay cash only okay no murder please room number nine right over there ninety dollars tommy will take care of the car in the morning next thing damn a hundred dollars good now let tommy know and one last thing try not to wake the other guests they might not take it very nicely okay bye-bye freaky man with a freaky picture what about this sign huh it says it's not ready they can say it's it's right out here the sign says so why am might not stay here all right let's not flap it all right room number nine okay that's one two three four five six seven eight nine did i get it right first try gamer god oh my god redeliver how am i getting the messages if i have no service hey where you at your dad's calling me i don't no and i did get it right at least that's some consolation it was nice and warm inside oh and there's that [ __ ] picture again there's no mattress there's a smell a type of musky smell what am i supposed to sleep on good intentions oh no we're doing this again couldn't have slept there what i double clicked because it wasn't opening should i click it again oh oh hi i do it's a lot better that i can't see you what are you doing here you scared the crap out of me who are you i'm tommy room service here at roadway inn the finest stop over in norwood what are you doing in there you know cleaning stuff guys the front desk gave me this room i'm gonna have to ask you to step outside when i make the room i'll just get my stuff why is it not opening oh you [ __ ] freak bag let me out of here let me go let me go i want to go home i want to go home i stay in the car do anything stay in the woods sleep with the fishes wait where is my stuff oh it's all here oh okay hey why is that dirt bag in my room your stuff is right outside ah hello all right i guess that's just [ __ ] normal out here really needed me some energy soda that's what people call it cola hmm chocolate new soda can meat snack new nuts chocolate i would love some nuts chocolate if anybody can orange drink can energy soda i love getting me one of them energy sodas consume that [ __ ] become energy can i carry three bags now only two hands yeah but you're full of energy soda doesn't that help motel motel number nine please don't kill me while i sleep thanks for actually putting a mattress in the room i had a word with joe about the situation what's wrong with these people mercy mercy mercy but don't you worry it's safe here now go get your car and also the room's phone is not working if need anything just ask at the front desk we've been trying to get it fixed but uh we haven't been seeing enough guests lately but you have a good night bye freak here we go there he is what a scumbag i don't trust him not at all at all at all gotta stay inside the speed limit huh what would you have done if i was standing in front of it would have just died i did get the dog food he must have gone back and picked it up and brought it back here because he's such a nice guy wait nobody else is hiding in my room are they i feel like that dude put like a camera in here somewhere to watch me pee okay chop my head off with that wait what does that say breaking news can't be that breaking if it's in a newspaper breaking news this happened yesterday am i faster if i throw them you know like halo rules capture the flag oh yeah i'm a gamer i got skills capture the flag a lot of mercy i'm just gonna go to sleep with my things call it a foresight but there's something very off about that place stupid of me to leave my room and leave the door open we're just asking for somebody to come in and park their ass in my room [Music] coffee machine yes espresso cappuccino french vanilla espresso is to hold the whole s to drive or to go forward i can't see [ __ ] i've been roofied oh my mouse is all backwards as well i thought somebody was here oh this is so bizarre to move everything backwards oh that's so scary i never even thought of that that you can get a coffee there and have it be full of drugs i'm gonna wake up with my kidneys missing i was sedated no don't have stuff happen to me while i'm like mid-consciousness never mind it was just a devil calling but someone's in the closet go leave leave didn't feel safe going out it feels [ __ ] safe being in here no why not go to sleep again get out oh what do i do do i open that and get caught and die or do i just open the door hi didn't i specifically tell you not to wake anyone up i have complaints what are you making all those i've had enough of you crazy goons here for once i thought we had a sober guest but i guess i'm the crazy one here follow me i hate my job dude there's someone literally oh what do i do see part of me wants to open up the closet but i have a feeling that the game will end there what if it's like a a service door couldn't you make a motel where all of the closets like connect to each other with fake not working and then it surprised me freak oh you can actually catch him he's staying in that room he was the guy outside my i'm outside my window looking in at me yeah i can do it too freak yeah rat day i find it really weird that the manager in inferred not to get police involved as it would have affected motel's reputation let go of the situation yeah because it's motel's reputation's probably so big i believe that the town could have been home to a cult or a drug ring or possibly something even worse colts and drug rings i never realized how similar there tommy arrived at the car after what felt like a year i never went on long road trips again i would always take airplanes oh man hey we survived this one let's go [Laughter] nice [Music] cool i feel bad now that i didn't survive the last one because clearly that's supposed to be like see i'm at odds with it because this is technically like how it ends because the person needed to get away from the situation to be able to submit the story it's always told from someone's perspective so the whole point is that somebody survived this and then went on to submit the story for the game dev and i get that and that's the canon ending and the true ending and if you're watching this at home you always want to like see everything but from a narrative perspective to me the first episode ends better having gotten caught because i feel like just that big scare and then getting caught and then having the game close itself it's just such a bigger statement than oh i hid under the bed and survived and the cops came i know that that's what people want to see and they want to see me do absolutely everything in these games but i just like the big like oh what the [ __ ] kind of ending and then moving on from it um so apologies for not getting the the true ending on the last one but here you are i did it on this one it is nice to kind of round it out though and see everything the game has to offer because if i didn't go back and do it this time i wouldn't have seen the guy like leave and go into that room over there and then leave and go in oh wait no it was oh i was here he went down this way um so cool really really cool games i like them a lot they they really play on some real world fears because i still think the first one was scarier to me personally and i'd be curious to see what people say in the comments as well that like what type of fears do you have because for me it being alone in your house and having someone be in the house with you is so scary to me and oh my light went off having having it be like oh i'm in this city i'm in my own home i should feel safe in my own house and then having someone like be in there really invades your personal private space where you at home i feel the safest that i ever do it's the place where i feel safer than anywhere else on the planet and having someone invade that space is so scary to me this is this preys on a completely different type of fear it's the same sort of thing like someone like stalking you and creeping up on you and everything but because there's so many more uh variables in this one like you had to go to a convention you have to drive home your car has to break down you have to go to the motel it's a little less it's a little more outside of like my field of influence um but it's definitely really really scary and especially to i feel like this one preys on sort of the the young female not even young female just female perspective of going out and doing something and having someone like creep up on you and be like oh pretty lady and cat calling and that kind of stuff and that's terrifying to think that you have to worry about that stuff you can't just go to a convention and drive home without fearing for your life so scary and like being drugged up there's a lot of people who go out and do stuff and then get roofied in real life and have stuff happen to them oh so scary i don't want to think about it but yeah so terrifying really really cool games i'm excited to see the rest of them they they have three more so we're gonna have five episodes total uh at least for this but i just love i love anthology series i love seeing uh different perspectives on on different things and i'm curious what the next one's gonna be uh i think it's going to play into that sort of real fear aspect and i think that that's better than like i in movies i like when it's like a monster or a ghost or supernatural paranormal stuff that's always cooler to me but in regards to a game i feel like this is scarier because this is real world stuff that i have like i like i'm playing it out i feel like i'm in that perspective uh but yeah that was fierce to fathom episode two uh i don't know when the next one's going to
