Shooting One Of The Most Expensive Bullets!

hey guys Brandon here with Texas plinking cooking up another fun video today speaking of which though on the last video we said when we got 30,000 subscribers we would give away this pan well it's only been like a week or so a little over a week and we're closing in on 50 or we got 46 47,000 so the growth has been awesome so we are giving away this pan I said I was gonna choose a random comment and I did believe the name was John Sparrow was a Jack Sparrow either way this pan is all yours pretty darn good condition I'm gonna send that out your way I've already contacted him and so he's receiving that but anyway got this bowling ball here we're gonna go ahead and shoot some stuff we got some stuff downrange we'll walk to but I'm wondering how a 58 reacts to a bowling ball but not just any 50 as such thing existed we're shooting some pretty special rounds today and kind of introducing them to you in case you guys don't know about them so right here we have a standard pretty popular 50 BMG this is a 660 grain don't we in the white paint 660 grain by federal 50 BMG just Full Metal Jacket not much to it but obviously devastating you know 660 grain coming out of a 29 inch barrel quite fast nearly the same velocity as I got average 223 but this size but so that's devastating in its own right just a big ball heading that way and as you know with the size of a 50 BMG have a lot of room to do all kinds of stuff armor penetrating armor penetrating incendiary armor penetrating incendiary tracers all that stuff and so on this is kind of the granddaddy and end-all be-all of all the 50 BMG this is the ralphus mark 211 quite a crazy round in short I guess you could just describe it as a armor penetrating incendiary but the way it goes about doing it is just a lot different so open up a new tab just google ralph is smart 211 and just look at the diagram of the internals of it it's pretty incredible in short what it's meant to do is go through an object with the steel core and then in sin d8 like a grenade on the other side so let's say there's a lot of people on one side of the wall or opposite side of this is meant to punch a clean hole through that brick wall going the other side and detonate like a grenade timed on the other side all that said doesn't run cheap so that's the difference with a standard armor penetrating incendiary versus their office mark 2:11 and we have two of them if you wanted to buy them individually the cheapest I found them online as a single round with $65 for one single bullet and they're always sold out sometimes I've seen them go all the way up to even $100 for one bullet I don't even think that's counting shipping so not cheap around at all to shoot that's how we only have two but we're not gonna just shoot two shots today we're obviously gonna shoot these two one's gonna be on the bowling ball one's gonna get another target down there we have a lot of ball rounds we're gonna shoot just to compare in fact let's walk down there and talk about the targets all right here's the plan so we're gonna start off with a normal ball round to see how that affects it so we have one big old piece of cinder block here with a little gap right here I think the standard round probably won't affect this watermelon because we have a normal cinder block here fill it up with other cinder blocks so quite a bit a big block space big block then watermelon we're gonna see if the water watermelon gets affected then we have we're gonna just once that shot we're gonna move that over we're gonna do the same thing down here well move it but what Ramon's gonna be on the other side this is filled up as you can see it and that's gonna be with the route this realm I think what's gonna happen is it's gonna go through this wall nice and clean will shatter it probably and I think there's gonna be a nice explosion right here and hopefully it's enough to go through here and then damage the watermelon all right so like I said we're gonna start off with the ball round see how that ax and then do the same target with the raw fish all right firing take the watermelons alive all right so this is just how we approached it already stopped the GoPro so cinder blocks and everything is totally out okay so looking at this I think this was the back end of the cinder block so would not have made it through but I definitely damaged it we got the water mill and it rolled down here it is caked with dust on one side but nothing just a little bit of damage actually check that out caught like some shrapnel but that's it that's not too bad so it actually did stop it again I'm glad that happened because that's the ball round so that watermelon has some damage with ralphus we know it's definitely effective but check this out as well on this the copper jacket is still really really hot as well and it's cool I have to pocket that bring it back let's uh reset it and shoot it with our office all right now for the ralphus round the this round alone cost I'm just trying to put in perspective a lot we'll leave it at that all right should be able to hit the mark it's about a hundred hundred ten yards away ready steady oh yeah that detonated down there you see that oh that was like literally an explosion downrange the first block here like I thought it just went through and probably caused an explosion probably and then all the shrapnel or whatever else probably carry through and just had to clean enough entry and exit right there so definitely still lethal after that whole brick wall which the ball round was not what do we have here 50 BMG check that out that's the steel core from the from the ralphus yeah is also probably gonna be part of a giveaway stay tuned what that's why we're sending it off with a very expensive bullet all right so I got the bowling ball set up there and then I kind of under and behind the bowling ball is the watermelon so we'll kind of see what happens but get the last of the ralphus in there let's see what happens to that bowling ball what do you think is gonna happen cameraman in smithereens I think it's going straight through all right damaging the watermelon yeah I think it's gonna be used Walter Taylor thoughts I'm gonna go with smithereens all right sorry you see the sparks on that holy crap smithereens it was so I hope from that far away I don't know if the GoPros gonna pick it up hopefully though yeah we're good hopefully the GoPro is able to pick up the sparks but from back there throws the whiting you're gonna pick it up it lit up this like huge bushel like flares it was pretty cool to the finger holes for the bowling ball just a bunch of pieces everywhere but I mean man that was kind of cool this cool well go for survived except our office rounds do they give away too yeah we could give some of this away whatever look I'm like Oprah Winfrey but we have a lot of ball rounds left and some cinder blocks and other watermelons and cantaloupes so although that's the roughest round let's uh keep on shooting oh that's good ya know that it's you were right though it's not as bad when you're like up on it ya know surprising yeah I know their concussions back here yeah alright I guess even can shoot it while they go crystal hot down there hopefully it hasn't got knocked at them I don't you know I'm gonna shoot it got a watermelon then just like a pile of cinder block pieces sorry I think this is got pile of cinder blocks go ahead and hit that if you see it firing alright and going along the theme of the 50 BMG destruction we have got a college textbook with a criminal law book as well quite thick so we're just gonna go ahead sinner here see what happens with that thick of books got a cantaloupe and probably start the GoPro alright three rounds of ball and do one on the textbook one on the cantaloupe one wherever else [Applause] cantaloupe just went down everything but here are the groupings on the book not too bad straight through here's the other book let's see the other side oh yeah another problem even through the textbook and in a criminal law book yeah that's a good read alright guys I think that's gonna do it for this one hopefully there's enough GoPro footage in there so I motion to suffice for some of the blank parts but anyway I thought was pretty cool two of the ralphus rounds hitting we got the test with the wall in the watermelon the bowling ball which we have a piece here so we did the last giveaway with the pan let's do some more so we have got this piece of the bowling ball this was like one of the steel core pieces I think to the ralphus round itself then we have the copper jacket and then the two shells to both of the ralphus rounds so we're just gonna give away
