having a good start to the weekend hope everyone's been having a good week [Music] uh main menu music is loud so let me just drop the audio and though there we go it should be a lot better there oh how's it going though this is one of my favorite games of all time uh definitely one of my favorite rpgs i love this game the last time i played it through was actually just january uh played it through again started this year because i was like you know i haven't haven't experienced an absolute masterpiece in just quite a little while um but for playing at this time i i thought we'd make it a bit more interesting because a mod released just this year that's the randomizer mod for fallout new vegas and this is incredible so let me just give you a rundown of everything this affects right what gets randomized creature response they retain their fractions ai packages and sometimes their name every perk level requirement ever all of your starting stats all of your tagged skills your starting inventory nbc and creature size jump height the weather gravity every inventory merchant inventory container inventory prior to buying cell prices rewards for completing quests every enemy has the chance to become a dip every single character has a chance to become a different character in the game but suppose good old-friendly barrister mcbarterson who runs the general store becomes a debt claw he will kill you from what i understand so because of this there's really is no set way to play this uh we'll probably be locked out of certain progression packs this is an rpg heavy game as well where quest progress and decisions is paramount to determine what ending you get uh some of them may be literally impossible to obtain and we have no way of knowing which ones so this is going to be fantastic um the first sign of the randomizer taking effect even the doctor at the start who tends to you when you start the game he's randomized as well and so we'll know if it's working like right off the bat how do you level up um you have to kill stuff still you you still level like as normal but perk level requirements completely change so i may get level two and it's like you get a level 50 ability or something like that i believe because that that's all randomized do you still get shot by chandler bing yes um chandler bing aka matthew perry from friends is in this game uh that is still consistent i think the cutscene will play as normal because it's pre-recorded but yeah this is this is going to be wild i i have no idea what to expect i've tested this briefly it didn't go well uh it's also very likely that the game will crash so we're going to save often and we're just going to bear that in mind um it's possible too much may try to load when we enter certain places we don't know thank you to everyone who's subbed off the bat and given bits like jesus i haven't even done anything again like hype train get uh kit thank you for five good i turned 28 on the 11 and i'm still processing that feeling a bit anxious over getting older and feeling like we'll have enough time to do all i want to do while i'm still young but i'm still trucking streams always cheering me up happy birthday i hope you had a good one all the same hope you had a very lovely day don't worry the existential dread is mutual we think we all feel that but you don't you you tend to be doing better potentially it might be a bit weird looking i've never played this god help me that's okay if you have played this this is gonna be wild but if you haven't i think it's just gonna be chaos you get the cutscene this is consistent uh i think the year is 22.77 this is after nuclear war has erupted but and the new state of vegas has emerged and there's like chandler bing from friends in the checkered coat war never changes [Music] when atomic fire consumed the earth those who survived did so in great can you hear it okay when they opened their inhabitants set out across the subtitles will display after this couple of societies establishing villages forming tribes a little quiet okay hang on oh oh no the cutscene i was afraid of that i was afraid of that okay hang on we we we have to go back to the main menu now because we gotta we gotta see matthew perry shoot us in the head hang on costly sound check costly sound check [Music] this game so good we get to see the intro twice whoa double intro they really want you to appreciate vegas captain thank you for the gift subs thank you very much [Music] it's worth it i demand chandler has war changed in the last 30 seconds no no it has not it never changes when this game come out a decade ago i feel old now it's aged quite well i would say it still very much holds up war never changes it still hasn't changed when atomic fire consumed the earth those who survived did so in great underground vaults when they opened their inhabitants set out across the ruins of the old world to build new societies establishing villages forming tribes as decades passed what had been the american southwest united beneath the flag of the new california republic dedicated to old world values of democracy and the rule of law as the republic grew so did its needs scouts spread east seeking territory and wealth in the dry and merciless expanse of the mojave desert they returned with tales of a city untouched by the warheads that had scorched the rest of the world and a great wall spanning the colorado river the ncr mobilized its army and sent it east to occupy hoover dam and restore it to working condition but across the colorado another society had arisen under a different flag a vast army of slaves forged from the conquest of 86 tribes caesar's legion they're very evil four years have passed since the republic held the dam just barely against the legion's onslaught the legion did not retreat across the river it gathers strength campfires burn training drums beat [Music] through it all the new vegas strip has stayed open for business under the control of its mysterious overseer mr house and his army of rehabilitated tribals and police robots you are a courier hired by the mojave express to deliver a package to the new vegas strip what seemed like a simple delivery job has taken a turn for the worse you got what you were after so pay up you're crying in the rain pally it's chandler bing's is waking up over here there he is time to cash out will you get it over with maybe cons kill people without looking them in the face but i ain't a fink dig you've made your last delivery kid sorry you got twisted up in this scene from where you're kneeling must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck truth is the game was rigged from the start wow chandler no he snapped he was the killer from friends welcome to fallout new vegas that's pretty much the story introduction all done there that's everything you need to know you're awake how about that wait did the randomizer load it's loaded you've been out cold a couple doc mitchell is geared up in combat armor for some reason okay that's how we know it's worked he's not supposed to have that outfit how about your name can you tell me your name okay our name smell yeller in the context of friends there's no haters or anything is there we're gonna be ross from friends okay ross geller i can't say it's what i'd have picked for you but if that's your name that's your name i'm doc mitchell welcome to good springs now i hope you don't mind but i had to go rooting around there in your noggin to pull all the bits of lead out i take pride in my needlework this episode of friends looks weird the one where ross gets shot in the head i don't remember that one how'd i do that that's definitely not ross from friends we gotta we gotta do a bit of work here uh i could just randomize my head they all look kind of the same don't they these are all the options we get this guy looks real mean but we should go with him like real hardy ross i think it's the eyebrows here we'll make we'll see if we can give them a different hairstyle to make them more ross like maybe that is the most ross we can get that is kind of ross's hair can just make him bald we can be very mean to ross here if we want but i think i think uh pompadour is just perfect uh we just want like kind of black brown hair there we go there's ross look at he's out for blood today make him mean i make his i can make him very old too if i want hang on this just makes his chin more pronounced okay if ross was a high school bully it's perfect well i got most of it right anyway stuff that mattered okay no sense keeping you in bed anymore let's see if we can get you on your feet thanks doc why don't you walk down to the end of the room over by that vigor the fov just zoom in take it slow now it ain't a race he feels a lot closer all of a sudden let me just see one console command i'm gonna do is just 90 fov so we can see a bit easier looking good so far go ahead and give the vigor tester a try okay bigger tester right quick if you get back all your faculties apparently yes our starting stats are randomized should we see what what we've gotten it does randomize the starting stats so it's working six strength is already input uh we have ten perception six endurance five charisma only four intelligence for agility five luck i think is this an illegal build no it actually isn't it isn't because you can you can take out the sixes it's put it all in perception for some reason okay all right we're accepting the randomized stats uh all in on perception he could see everything he's got those seeing eyes nothing gets by you could have used you when i lost my keys last month yeah doc mitchell even knows but that don't mean them bullets nothing gets passed ross keller why am i so fast and we go through a couple of questions see if your dogs are still barking oh good god you're not that's like double or triple speed okay we're super quick it's also been randomizing apparently all right i'm gonna say a word i want you to say the first thing that comes to mind dog would ross answer kick do we want to make ross like super mean rick house demolished silencer oh my god ross you need to calm down sometimes when you give tests like this you learn more than you was hoping for he's freaked out the best thing but i guess maybe it explains a thing or two about your predicament he doesn't like us okay now i got a few statements i want you to tell me how much they sound like something you'd say first one conflict just ain't in my nature you ate my sandwich i ain't given to relying on others for support um ross hates everyone i'm always fixing to be the center of attention yes absolutely ross needs to like hog the spotlight i'm slow to embrace new ideas absolutely he's a boomer i charge in to deal with my problems head on no he runs away and kind of like dances around them and never solves anything almost done here what do you say you have a look at this tell me what you see and who's in wound oh there's so many creepy ones here okay how about this one i'm too embarrassed one that's two bears high fiving uh a mushroom cloud well that's all she wrote i don't have nothing to compare it to so maybe you'd better just have a look at the reason it's like no one has ever answered the test like this before explosives melee and speech is what it recommends i believe this is randomized as well um so we're we're going to stick with that before i just beaches are really good i need one more thing from you you got a form for you to fill out so i can get a sense of your medical history just a formality ain't like i expect to find you got a family history of getting shot my friends have a history of flash uh i can't take the four eyes perk because my perception is literally max i can't can't wear glasses uh we get to pick two traits uh these also affectabilities as far as i can see these ones so it's the perk level requirements that are the ones that have been randomized these have not been changed these are traits uh we want to take wild wasteland because that just makes random happen in your playthrough uh and that's going to be great because everything's already randomized uh we then want to take one other perk uh these all will trade these all have negatives to them so critical hit but everything the case claustrophobia like early bird good natured heavy-handed uh hoarder that's a real bad one amikazzi logan's loophole means that you you have level 30 max cap which is actually really bad uh skilled you gain plus five points to every skill but you suffer minus ten percent from experience gain from now on that's a very powerful one early game uh small frame plus one of jewelry limbs are more easily crippled that's probably going to be disastrous here um i'm leaning towards skilled or kamikaze what what we thinking guys guild okay all right ross has skills here i just need to close one thing on my end oh back in the game okay we're gonna we're gonna go skills ross is a talented man he gets the job done all right i guess that about does it come with me i'll see you out we have very low intelligence too so skilled is probably more necessary uh oh we're gonna get into a lot of trouble here ross is not very smart take this money uh we can start seeing if the container inventory has worked yeah here's five mini nukes hang on let's uh open the first aid box auto inject stim pack healing powder uh so every container it can be really valuable if it's just completely randomized uh because we don't know what's gonna be in them sunset sarsaparilla here's moonshine and rat meat and the stew uh we'll take the stew oh fast i'm just seeing what else i can pillage from doc mitchell's house gun case there is just a laser pistol in there just a toy car in that box i think you can no i don't have enough signs for that i don't have enough repair for that here's some snake bite take that with us anything appears in the world will still appear in the world it's mainly containers and that that are completely random we don't know what we're gonna get get the toy car could you slow down by one any chance slightly too fast to watch i i i can't i i don't know how this is my start and sweet like i can do that and like walk completely slower i can lower my mouse sensitivity if that makes it a little easier on the eyes but i'm gonna zoom into yours was all you had on you when you was brought in i hope you don't mind but i gave the note a look i thought it might help me find the next difference what shield happened it was just something about a platinum chip the smithy special you ought to have this they call it a pip boy oh god he just had it completely randomized we all got one ain't much used to be now but you might want such a thing after what you've been through i know what it's like having something taken from you and put this on too hologram outfit lacking modesty never was much my style anyway wait what does that mean you shouldn't have gone through my stuff doc didn't have much choice i'm afraid but i understand the sentiment you should talk to sonny smiles before you leave town she can help you learn to fend for yourself in the desert she'll likely be at the saloon i reckon some of the other folks at the saloon might be able to help you out too and the metal fella victor who pulled you out of your grave anyway you ever get hurt out there you come right back i'll fix you up okay thanks stop mitchell get killed anymore uh it's asking me if i want to pop on hardcore mode as well uh stim packs heal over time cannot bend broken limbs like this i think this will make everything unbearable in terms of randomizer i think this will make it way worse [Music] yeah i'm gonna elect for not this run because i think this is gonna like completely destroy us yeah i i and we're gonna go no here okay so what did we get oh my god that's massive i can't use it my hologram outfit is just it just makes me invisible or like transparent oh god i don't think i'm supposed to have that one i got a blood shield as well snake bite i got some microfusion cells so i can use the smitty special for a little bit it's very badly damaged so i also have a laser pistol okay let's hop outside discovered good springs oh that can't be good that that victor howdy partner the battle rifle got a lot of irradiated food k9000 bent at chow weapon mod uh a ripper hd chain i don't know i don't know if there's anything i want here the bb gun is like a unique weapon uh i think i'm good with the displacer glove the survivalist rifle is kind of cool i i have to trade like my glove or something if i want anything here well here the the plasma pistol we got is strictly better take his caravan deck look at that we actually look quite dapper now we have we have some decent surviving armor and we're ready to go out into the world could have pickpocketed this way it's a lot more efficient frost takes no prisoners i'm amazed good springs is not just trying to murder me at this point we're vilified do i still have the quest to even help him no no that's failed okay okay uh they went that away we gotta go to prim uh which actually won't take that long because we we run so fast like their default speed dr cobb is cobb here there he is just chilling the hell is your problem what do you want uh what's that you said about ringo he's some traitor who decided he'd rather shoot than paid a toll for being in our territory he's hiding somewhere in town but serve these idiots right if me and my guys shot the place up after payback on ringo i feel like i've already helped you with ringo yeah what's that help you take over this town what the hell for just farmers and get beat by a bunch of townies we ain't got much in the way of supplies so if you could shake down the old doctor in the store owner they're the only two people left alive i also thought it might be a good thing to jimmy the lock on the bighorn pen the noise from the fight will spook them get them running wild once we're done with that stuff or none of it say the word and we'll make our move uh you know can we just go for it i've done all i can let's just go it's about time i saw some of the town he's gathering we're just gonna be so impatient we get rid of them and we own this place okay here's here's the gang we're fighting fit let's take over the town oh he's speedy he's speeding doc no i'm sorry powder gangers have accepted you you're so helpful [Music] was it only doc mitchell was he the last line of defense i think he was [Music] yeah we got to go all in with melee uh wait that that's a level 50 perk you've had a lot of close calls whenever you finish a fight with less than 25 health your luck increases by plus four for three minutes you can also get those that's that's an end game perk i'm immune to critical hits and my critical hits inflict 50 more damage oh god you can see some of the other like early level things we're going to get i don't want to look too much at these because there's going to be spoilers just lucky i'm alive that's a max level perk i'm now immune to crits for the rest of the game [Music] it's paramedical supplies i'm sorry doc doc you have a lot of bombs on you for some reason how if i got neutral caramel i've killed a lot of people never gets old when something blows up i guess the town is just ours never thought i'd ever have my own town but thanks to you now i do if you want to make some caps head on over to the correctional facility just tell them i sent you and you should get in without a problem keep a close eye on some of those bastards though oh not all powder gangers out there are friends of mine like the group in prim they'll be gunning for you no matter what so keep that in mind good to know uh what's next for you guys i figured we'll hang around good springs for a while maybe get some of the other gangs to join up with us won't kill anybody else unless we have to just as long as people do what we tell them kill them as well no we gotta we gotta try and make some friends yeah important we've established ourselves here good and the crash is randomized too that's just part of new vegas uh let me let me go back and get the uh the snow globe okay we can't enter that interior anymore then because the game will crash so that that that's now a no-go zone the one where the game keeps crashing must have tried to spawn something uh where's snow globe again wait did i get it i did oh it it crashed when i entered we didn't actually lose any progress it still saved it there even though it crashed oh hang on i need to get chat back too it's safe first i gotta be careful when i scroll because like this game likes to have the scroll wheel affect the game but also every other open window so if i scroll too much like i just lose my chat so i gotta i gotta be careful a bit funky seems to be okay now well uh we got the snow globe i guess we move on to prim follow the road down we'll let you in the minecraft championship it's cool to be back i want to go back to a long while i'm excited for it okay the next town is feel like we've just broken the game entirely at this point most of the characters are dead anyway like that's like one more stream and the game is done unless we do like dlc or something [Music] it's tomorrow's stream uh something quite special we're doing a trial stream a practice stream for city skylines esports um i'm being like sponsored by red bull of all people because they they are interested in developing a city sky skylines esports scene this isn't a joke uh and like there's actually going to be like a tournament in like a week where i'm competing against spiff and other like
