good morning everyone and welcome back it's your old pal anthony here so on the agenda for today we have a pretty interesting looking estate sale that we're gonna go check out and then i also had a local viewer named jerry reach out to me about a gi joe collection pretty much already negotiated that deal so uh just basically gonna go pay for it and pick it up but i think there's some pretty cool stuff in there but real quick let's talk about estate sales i personally have a love-hate relationship with estate sales the fact that they're normally the whole house means that you never know what you're going to find prices are generally more expensive but i mean even the prices don't scare me because you're usually going to find something that was overlooked the part that i don't necessarily love is just how crazy and chaotic they can get like when i decided i'm gonna go to an estate sale i just immediately start imagining scenes from like the 1983 cabbage patch riots [Music] and it's pretty crazy like i can come across like the most amazing ad for a garage sale uh the pictures are just beautiful with with with everything that i'd want to buy they can use words like dirt cheap pricing and everything must go i can show up five minutes late and there's just no one there but the second that word estate sale is used it's like people are camping out the night before it's just crazy but like i said you never know what you're gonna find they're they're a necessary part of the job i've had more good luck than bad so not a whole lot else going on today so we're gonna go check this one out then we're gonna go meet up with jerry buy the gi joes bring everything back here and take a look at it as we normally do so let's head on out [Music] thanks sir thank you bags yeah thank you again [Applause] i was kind of tempted by some of those manuals and stuff but i don't know i got the two good uh pokemon for my kids fanatic yeah pick up anything even though it might be worthless i come home with stuff like uh came home with the pokemon uh just some old games right for a game to sell and he's like oh yeah he took it yeah my kids getting into pokemon now too i'll hit you up if sebastian's ever unloading some of that okay awesome you're a recognizable person [Music] these are the notes [Music] okay i'll have them in a bag for you here okay thank you we had right on the box is what she's wearing are you ready right are you ready oh yeah it's like no it happened a lot yeah and the tv i didn't know if you'd notice but it's yeah like a little hang tag oh yeah everything thank you so much here put this on that side okay uh that's why i was a good little catholic world scout growing up she's recovered after 49 years i gotta tell you anything kevin would be proud of in there put out a bunch of sealed stuff found a field of dream sealed did you really yeah yeah yeah we'll see what that does i mean like the making of uh tmnt seal what's that um ninja turtles oh yeah no yes i never got into in a bunch of complete and box games this gentleman it's 500 sunday so i just left that estate still i think my battery died while i was in line so i'm i'm not sure how much you saw but i ended up paying 366 dollars i think there was a couple like really good home runs in there and then a couple kind of big gambles but we'll look at all that when we get home now i'm heading to pick up the gi joe lot so pretty excited about that one and like i said we'll look at everything when we get back [Music] do you also want these two like the cars in the comments i wasn't really counting it as part of the deal so i mean like i can just put it if you want when i like gave you that price like i was counting these okay like i was literally just throwing everything in awesome yeah yeah that sounds good but like you can just look at it all if you want okay yeah it looks like most of the boxes do you know the story with that at all okay that was kind of crazy i have no clue i literally just saw it and i saw like it was like signed and said friends of family i saw it right yeah it looks like their last name like yeah i'm not the best yeah man it looks good though i appreciate the deal yeah of course money right here it's definitely a lot better one coco oh really yeah was it a toy store or something yeah it's a vintage toy store i think i've seen their facebook ads up in there yeah all right man you don't need to change nothing yeah no we're good great um do you need help maybe or else i can make a couple trips or something i try to give them an order for you and like put like the timeless collections with the timeless place right i've never really bought the uh this era of stuff before yeah when i was like i saw like a wheelchair from georgia and like i used to get money for like days i get more report stuff all right all that money like start this collection like my eighth grade year and like i just like it's so windy out all right thank you guys so much take care have a great day all right buddy nice to meet you all right so we made it back to the garage and honestly i feel like it was a pretty terrific day admittedly i made a couple higher dollar choices that not everyone would agree with but um i'll kind of go through why i decided to shell out for those uh so real quick let's kind of take a look at everything we'll start over here with the uh gi joe lot all right so this is pretty much everything from the gi joe a lot from jerry i paid 250 for everything here and he actually had a mercari store where he had all this stuff listed so i was able to kind of go through everything and check out the condition run some comps on ebay and stuff like that and kind of do the math and see where i was comfortable and i was completely comfortable at 250 dollars i was able to take into account how long some of the stuff might take to sell i was able to kind of examine the condition of the boxes and realize that those probably wouldn't be on the high end of comps they'd be more like mid grade to lower as far as sealed comps go but realistically i think this is safely about probably 700 750 in sales eventually it could be more if i want to let things sit but if i price stuff aggressively that's kind of where i think it'll land so on that kind of deal where there's like 25 different things to to photograph and list and store and describe because of the box issues and then like once fees and everything are taken out tripling up sounds pretty good to me and i think that's what kind of makes it worth it so there are a handful of things in here that'll probably sell in like the 20 to 25 dollar mark uh and it might take a little while like like some of these more basic soldiers here most of these are from i think like the mid 90s to early 2000s there's a couple ultimate soldier things in here and then you have some more higher end stuff like the uh secret mission to spy island this one should actually sell for for quite a bit higher than some of the other ones along with this big uh marine jungle fighter timeless collection it's a really big piece with a with a nice display this is a pretty good one i think the uh medal of honor recipient douglas macarthur this medal of honor figure i thought was pretty interesting because it has a bunch of uh signatures on it this is roy p uh benavidez it looks like it was possibly signed by friends and family i don't really know what the story is there but might have to do a little research on that and then we have some smaller snake eye figures from the early 2000s there was some uh she-hulk comics that he threw in as well i think it's like two four six seven eight i believe got eisenhower ernie pyle audi murphy in there a bunch of cool stuff this one's probably my favorite this is an actual vintage talking gi joe with the lifelike hair unfortunately he's missing the dog tag that you pull to make him talk but other than that he's in pretty uh extraordinary condition like there's no rub marks on his hair or anything which i don't think i've ever bought a vintage gi joe with lifelike hair that doesn't have at least part of his hair rubbed out so that's pretty cool he has all his limbs all his toes all his feet his hands all that stuff so i'm guessing even without the tag that'll apply sell for 50 or 60 bucks so yeah thank you again jerry uh definitely a good deal but it was a deal that made sense for me and then we have the stuff from the estate sale i think i spent 366 dollars total most of that cost came from two items but we'll start with these we have three vintage super soakers these are uh supercharger 400s there's a little yellowing on them but they do all have like their gaskets and their uh decals are in good shape they were six bucks a piece and i think they're probably worth 20 or 25 a piece then we have this sansa m240 mp3 player sealed in the package i've actually sold this same mp3 player many times throughout the years and i always get around 50 bucks for it sealed in the package like this this one was eight dollars so i i figured why not eight into fifty with like no testing or anything that's just pretty easy paid six dollars for this bag of uh fisher-price loving family figures we have a mom and a dad and a child and a baby these are from the late 90s and i think a family like that should be good for about 30 bucks and we have a really cool item this is a 1982 i love frogs kids hat i mean come on that thing has to be priceless got some old sealed computer software for like ibm uh they had a bunch of vhs and stuff picked up a few sealed ones just to see if i could get lucky and actually think i did pretty well they were all a dollar a piece this um harry potter and the chamber of secrets didn't notice this tear until i got home but i don't really think that one was worth a lot anyway so so it doesn't really matter this uh disney donald and math magic land i don't think many of these have much value uh miracle of the white stallions just got this because uh the grinch is awesome and it was a sealed dvd this here this uh weird clam shell uh north avenue irregulars actually saw a pretty decent comp on this recently it was like 42 used like this and then we have a field of dreams sealed in the plastic i thought i did really well with this one at first because there were comps that were close to 200 bucks for it then i realized that this was the mcdonald's promo one which doesn't seem to sell quite as well but there was a comp for i think a hundred dollars a dollar into you know 50 to 100 can't beat that at all and then this one's probably the best it's the uh the making of the teenage mutant ninja turtles behind the shells sealed in the plastic i saw comps on this one ranging from 100 to 200 so this definitely has the possibility of being a pretty good one and it made all the other duds worth it then this was pretty amazing for ten dollars they had a sealed copy of paper boy for the game boy color so this is one of those things when they were pricing stuff in the house they were probably looking on ebay saw that paperboy for the gameboy color was like a 10 to 20 game and just priced it at 10 bucks but being sealed like this i think opens up a whole new world of possibilities the only ones available on ebay right now are one graded copy sealed like this uh and it's priced at 999 dollars and then there's one just like this and it's priced at like 270. there are some recent comps for for just the regular game boy not color paper boy sealed they're actually pretty impressive but i was able to look on price charting and uh price starting pulled up a ebay sold listing from like may of this actual game that sold for 2.99 so it's probably about where i'm going to price it about 299 and see what happens that leaves a lot of room to take a best offer so definitely a cool pickup for ten dollars now this is probably where you might think i'm crazy we have a scooter doll from the 60s and a skipper doll from the 60s they're both blonde hair they're with their original boxes original stands original accessories like there's raccoon or brush they have their wrist tags they have their original outfits scooter has the bows in her hair they have their paperwork scooter was priced at 75 dollars skipper was priced at one hundred and eighty dollars and if you look at comps you might see that they don't really go much higher than that in most cases however the condition of both of these including the boxes and the accessories are just are just about the best i've ever come across like the boxes don't even have any corner damage or anything i never come across them with the boxes anyway but just from the research i've done the boxes usually have like split corners or water damage or just something that just kind of makes them makes them look a little less than but these are just pretty incredible as far as that goes and then the dolls themselves i don't see any dirt i don't see any rub marks on their makeup the paint just seems perfect their outfits look new i just felt like the condition was so good that i was willing to pay up and just kind of see what happens i felt like i possibly already made up the money like when i found the the paperboy game so it just felt good to kind of take that gamble there were other cool like 60s barbies and kins there they were priced at like 200 a piece and and they just weren't that impressive to me compared to some other stuff i've found for a lot cheaper over the last couple months but there was just something about these two um i did see a couple comps for skipper in pretty similar condition although not as great not with the wrist tags and with a lot more wear to the box and they sold for like 300 so i think one was 275 one was 2.99 and like i said i paid 180 for this one so i'm just going to price it even higher than that and kind of see what happens pretty similar with scooter i found one that wasn't quite as good that recently sold for 182 dollars and i think this one's better and i paid 75 for this one so and then i also bought some extra paperwork probably the only thing i regret buying would be these uh barbie and ken booklets here in this extra skipper booklet because they're all eight bucks a piece and i think that's about what they're worth like 8 to 12 bucks a piece these two though i had trouble finding this is the order form for the color magic barbie wigs didn't see any of these for sale or sold so um i might try to get like 20 out of that one 20 or 25 and then this one looks like the paperwork for the 90 negligee set from the 60s so again didn't find this one so yeah being that my favorite thing to buy are old vintage toys it felt kind of cool to actually pay up for for the possibility of turning a profit on some on some pretty outstanding condition high-end vintage toys and could have been a mistake but we will see i think all in all everything's going to average out just fine for the day and it's all about averages in my opinion all right so that's all i got for you this time as always i want to thank you so much for watching the video but until next time stay safe stay healthy love ya bye when they hear that cha-ching and they all look at me i guess they'll know i'm buying this crap
