chronicles chapter five verse 11 through 14 I'm reading from the King James Version and a breeze like this says the priest then withdrew from the holy place and all the priests who were there had consecrated themselves regardless of their divisions all of the Levites who were musicians azoff he meant Judith on and their sons and relatives hood on the east side of the altar dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals harps and Liars they were accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets the trumpeters and the musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord accompanied by trumpets cymbals and other instruments the singers raised their voice in praise to the Lord and they sang he is good his love endures forever then the Temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud and the priests could not perform their duty because of the cloud for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God would you bow your heads for a word of Prayer gracious God our Eternal Father it is once more and again that we your humble servants come before your holy and your righteous name and God today before we ask you for anything we want to take the moment to tell you thank you for everything we thank you for being good we thank you for being kind and now god we think you for being merciful now I pray that you would in fact end indeed hide me behind the shadows of your cross that the people may only hear see and know you and me I pray now that you help me preached to the end that centers aren't save lives aren't changing the body of crisis edified now God we ask for two things a word that is precise and right in the name of Jesus that the people of God shout amen hey man you may be seated in the presence of our gone for the time that's been given me to share the word I'd like to preach with this thought in mind when the glory returns to the house when the glory returns to the house my brothers and sisters as I stop and take serious account of the current state of the world and the church it has caused me to stop and come to a very critical reality about this state in which we are in and I believe that we are in a space and a season where God has given us as those who lead God's people a mandate to find ourselves assuring people back in alignment with being the church that lives in the daily power of God's glory and the transformational ability of that glory that the thing that we are missing in the most straightforward way I can put it is the universal sign that this generation carries God's often to glory the sad reality is that too often in this day we find that the culture of the world has in many ways influenced the culture of the church and the proof is evident in the reflection in which we bear for the reflection of a God driven people is evident in our ability to be transformational and not conforming in other words we should change the world more than the world changes the church to be in the world but not of the world the reflection of a God driven church bears the reflection of his nature and the nature of God is found in his glory the glory of God the Chabad is defined in the Greek as honor reverence or reputation the glory of God is the reputation of God and as God's people we should always be reflective of his reputation what is the reputation of God the reputation of God is God's love and His Holiness the reputation of God is sacrifice and honor the reputation of God is transforming lives and saving souls the reputation of God was even reflected in Jesus who would lay hands and the sick recover speak to demons they flee but something has happened when the reputation of the church looks more influenced by culture than glory reputation and the glory of God is transformational in power with the ability to create a uniquely intimate doorway between heaven and earth in which God can come and rest with us and do in us what no other power can do the glory of God transforms lives it saves souls delivers the broken restores the weak rejuvenates the tired revitalizes the sick the glory reverses diagnosis the glory of God is influential in nature contagious in presence and even releases us into expen experience that shifts us into greater levels for we go from glory to glory and strength to strength so the glory even elevates and favors us into greater anointing and levels in God the glory is indeed needed to bless our lives but as we look at the customs of Old Testament times we understand that the priest would then go into the inner court and atone for the people but if they were not holy the glory of a holy God was so heavy in that space that if they entered into the glory unholy they would then drop dead which indicates to us that the glory doesn't just come to bless us but the glory also has the power to correct us but when we look at the culture of the church too often we see a reflection of a church that is missing the authentic glory but how preacher do you know the glory is missing because the glory is transformational beyond a moment if we experience God's glory God's glory will forever change us in a way in which even if we deal with issues we won't be caught up in the same thing year after year because we've been transformed by the glory of God in a day where we are more social than spiritual I know the glory is missing in a moment where people are more interested in doing gigs than doing ministry I know that the glory is missing in a time in which people are more impressed with social following than spiritual relationship I know that the glory is missing in a place where we are spirit socially prominent but spiritually powerless I know that the glory is missing in a day where we can capture on film a viral praise break but can't tap into the power of God's presence because we are distracted trying to film it rather than catch it I know that the glory of God is missing in a moment where people can walk into the doors of our church and leave unchanged and unchallenged by the word I know that the glory is missing when we live on the half of a concert of praise and not rooted in the depth of authentic worship that is done in spirit and in truth I know that the glory is missing but today I have come as a mouthpiece of God and on an assignment to tell this generation that God is realigning us with an ability and an opportunity to tap into the authentic glory of God that will bring transformation in this generation that God has given us the green light to access his glory spiritually there are biblical seasons where the glory lifted from the people but God sent me here to tell this generation that God has released us to receive and be restored in the glory of God would you touch somebody next to you and tell them neighbor I'm going after the glory this year I don't know what everybody else is doing but I'm going after the glory because God has given us the green light to access the glory but it's up to us to go after and what I have come today to impart upon us of the church today is that God is mandating us as a people and a generation to be the one that restores the glow rebec's of the house but what are you saying preacher that we are in charge of bringing the glory yes we as God's people in fact set the stage for his glory to show up in a way in which we provokin in which we engage in his presence in true worship that if we just step outside of ourselves and remove ourselves from the distractions that if we can put a the science and the routine of church and getting into the authentic shift of God that we will set a stage but the glory to show up every time we walk through the doors and I don't know about you but I don't need final words I don't need people who know my name but I need the glory of God to follow me so that every time I walk into the doors somebody's like and be challenged and [Music] challenged a generation to believe that the restoration of the glory starts inside of you would you just lay your hands on yourself and declare the glory starts inside of me and if we want to see revived or if if we want to see pinnacles if you want to see change in your life if you want to see lives forever change if you want to see people healed at the laying on of hands we must restore the glory but above all of that while I am grateful that God responds when we give Him glory by giving us glory in return we must restore the glory just because he's worthy I know it ain't that deep and it really ain't that profound it didn't take me long to come up with it but God I noticed now that the reason why we got to restore the glory is just because he's worthy of it would you touch three people around you and tell the neighbor he's just worthy and he never gives me a house if he never gives me a car he's worthy if I never found myself with a six-figure salary he's worthy if people don't ever know my name he's worthy so I'm going after the glory not for what he does who he is we going that took the glory yeah this is the generation in which we show worship and we shall worship in spirit and in truth as it is and the Plumber begins right here right now watch this don't listen about text we are encountering a moment where Solomon has built the temple and the Ark of the Covenant has been brought to the temple we all know that the Ark is a symbol of God's presence and the covenant made between him and his people has made with Moses in the book of Exodus the Bible would help us to understand in Exodus 4034 that act of God made covenant with his people he made an entrance to a cloud good God in the tabernacle God let his presence - well there as a sign to the people that he was pleased with that place that was designated for worship and here in our text the Bible says that the priests could not minister by reason of the cloud so God now sends another sign he sends a cloud in the temple to assure the people that he is pleased with that place here's the first thing you must understand that if you want the glory of God you gotta give him space that he is pleased with so that he can show up and do what God does let me pause here to tell you that you cannot have God's presence and not have God's glory that when you invoke his presence then the glory must follow God doesn't show without glory because glory is the nature of God and the problem that I have is that too many of us have forgotten our ability to pull down the presence of God because we abandoned his presence for platform and paycheck we want the anointing but we forgot the authenticity that it takes the access in your program will pull down the presses your accolades won't pull down the presence your click track will pull down the president but he honors a pure worship offering that moves the heart of the Father giving us access to his presence and all I'm really gonna tell you today is that you have the power in your posture and in the position of your heart in the sincerity of your worship to activate and access God's glory do me a favor grab one person next feel just one this one and grab holding him tell the neighbor today you are my intercessor I need you when you need me whatever we do we do together you're responsible for my breakthrough I need you to pull on his presence so that we can invite in the glory come on tell that person squeeze their hand I needed more than ever tell them today I need you to help me get into the glory the preacher how do I get into the glory well now here the text reveals to us not just the show of God's weight but the stage of which he stood for the Bible opens up showing us that Solomon had gathered all of the elders to take up the ark into the tabernacle let the priests and the Levites together look it up can I pause you to tell you Levites are no lower than the priests God ever said that the responsibilities of the presence of God belongs to the minstrels as much as it does the ministers it's all right here in verse five so they all took it up then the priests took it into the holy place the Levites took it up with the breeze and then the priests took it further into the presence that is no separation of responsibilities Levites you don't just play but you must provoke by leading the way you don't just sing but you must provoke by leading the way and while I'm on the subject can I go a step further to say priest don't you have a disregard they influence and responsibilities of a Levite because you need them as much as they need you we must work in sync to set the stage for the Gloria just show up in the house watch this of the text goes on to say that when the priest withdrew from the holy place the Levites being all consecrated and having simple psalteries and hives they stood on the east of the altar and whipped him 120 priests begin sounding trumpets and it came to pass that as the trumpeters and singers were lifting up their voices so the Lord hears the first thing that we see about the stage that is set but the glorious show up but that says that when the Levites which were the singers with their sons and brethren with the trumpeters and singing here's the first thing the priests were a part of the praise would you touch somebody next to you and tell them the priests we're a part of the praise yeah I don't understand the time in which the priests they don't like they can withdraw from the praise can I set the stage quickly the priests lead the people in such a way that when the people see you praise then the people will follow the lead of the priests you can't command a praise if you're not first leading with praise my goal is not to offend you but to awaken you eat this time out for the day where people are too caught up in their own agenda to join the praise of the Almighty God you can invoke the process without participation honestly the priests should always be the first to lead the praise because every time we step foot behind the sacred desk we are the reference to God that didn't cut ourself because the only thing standing between the weight of our flesh and the weight of his glory is the grace of a holy God you have to always be the first one to lead the people appraiser you are not ever come into God's house without a praise I will - miss gates with Thanksgiving and into his courts with praise it praises beneath you then priesthood is beyond you we have a responsibility to lead the way of the priest that's when the globe came in sometimes we gotta step aside yeah but the glory to come in and I tying up a generation that's so caught up in their own agenda that we don't step aside but the move of the Holy Ghost but when the priest left town the cloud came in you got to get yourself in a position where you're willing to step aside but the move of the Holy Ghost you're offered still go get raised the people are still go there but you got to stop the Bible says that the priests will play the trumpet and the people we're singing together the text says when they lifted up their voice lifted trumpets the cymbals the instruments of music that they praised the mo ha here's the second part of the stage on which the Gloria said the Daniel says they were singing he doesn't say that the priest was singing he doesn't say that believe mites were singing but in his hands that they were singing good God my definition thing signify complete unity I in other words they were in strong and in concert concert is defined as agreement or accordance angle harmony here's the second stage they were in complete unity one was an upper bay one one Accord a chord in the grouping define as symphonia meaning to sound together the glory cloud entered into this space when they were sounding together perhaps the reason so many of us are missing the glory is because we all sound different to God the Bible helps us someone to say that they was shouting on one of God and the problem in this generation is that everybody has they're all sound and some of us are even replicating sounds but if we want the presence of God we must find the sound of happy and sound together would you grab your intercessor and tell the neighbor today we must sound together when we get into the place where we can't worship if it's not our favorite worship leader or worship song but we aren't sounding together when we live in a moment where we have to push you to open up your mouth we aren't sounding together but if we want the presence of God we must learn how to sound together here is the final shift of the stage of which the glorious said not only did they sound together but can I help you this sound was simple would you touch somebody next to you and tell them neighbor the sound was simple understand that we are so busy trying to create complicated sound but the sound was very simple and not only was the sound simple but if the sound that confession was clear because the people were in concert in Symphony singing together in clear compassion the Bible says that they begin to sing a song the praise to the Lord and their song was for he he is good his mercy endureth forever they weren't singing in array of words that try to deeply persona that God but they had a simple confession and the sound was that he is good his mercy endureth forever understand the power of this praise well in Psalm 136 this praise His mercy endureth forever was stated 26 times in one setting they sang on his goodness and His mercy the one sound and the cloud of glory came into the room but the Bible says that the south [Laughter] because they come to set the stage for the glory of God today I just come to find out if there's anybody in the Church of God in Christ watch the glory enough to make a clear confession today the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever you can get out of [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music]
