Judah you are my everything hallelujah this morning we want to welcome you all this morning to the Women's Sunday and as our Minister LaVon Erskine comes forward to welcome us and begin our service women awake walking in grace as we celebrate our Women's Sunday in our women's season praise the Lord everyone come on praise the Lord hallelujah hallelujah thank you Jesus thank you Jesus hallelujah Women's Day 2017 are you excited are you excited this morning come on let me hear some excitement in your voice hallelujah our we are walking in grace today are we walking in Grace and are we honoring God in our walking out grace this morning God is just so good to us and it's so awesome to be able just to worship and praise His name for he is worthy for he is worthy for he is worthy for he is worthy come on come on come on he's worthy he's the worry do you think we're getting you come on let's bless the Lord let's get a glory thank you Jesus thank you Jesus hallelujah hallelujah say it's awesome to be able to praise the Lord I don't know about you but I don't that wasn't able to get up on my own this morning I needed that help of the Holy Spirit just unto me a little bit to give me a topper tunity to stand in the presence of a holy God and it's one of us should be on our feet this morning because when we left me the home left here last Sunday we got home but instead starving news it could have been us but God said no so we give Him praise and we give Him glory because he's just worthy had nothing to do with us nothing to do with us but God is the master God is he's worthy to be praised he's worthy of every praise he's worthy of our praises and we will praise Him from the rising of the Sun to the going down of the same our Lord is a worthy God thank you Jesus thank you Jesus come on bless him one more time one more time one more time hallelujah hallelujah thank you Jesus we so wonderful to see each and every one this morning and we want you just to sit back and pat your feet jump up shout do whatever do you feel like doing but just worship the Lord this morning hey madam can we worship Him don't worry about who is sitting next to you just just worship Him for by Carlene Simpson praise the Lord charge praise the Lord touch our morning's lesson for this Women's Day is from Psalm 84 and I'm reading verse 11 when always found it say Amen for the Lord God is a Sun and shield the Lord bestows favor and honor no good thing does he withhold from those who walk is blameless the word of the Lord for the People of God good morning church I have a lot to give thanks for this morning as um this past week has been rough I see my little one going through pain and I don't know why and she was misdiagnosed but thank god she's here this morning and I'm giving thanks let us bow our heads or Everly father I just want to give you the glory and honor do you want to your name Lord we thank you Lord for bringing us all here together this morning Oh God we thank you for this woman's thunder oh god we thank you for the leaders of this church Oh God continual God to shine a light upon them Oh God to bring us the word Oh God to feed our souls oh god we thank you O God for all that you continue to do in our lives and that you will do in our lives we pray O God for all those that couldn't make it this morning father God whatever the reason those that are here we ask that you touch them oh god we pray a special prayer for them there's more than Oh God we thank you O God for a pastor or God we thank you O God for this sanctuary we thank you for your visitors this morning and the one to do that is our own first lady rice good morning to everyone I'll praise this be to God it's so good to be in the house okay one more time we thank God for this day to set aside for Women's Day give all our women's a hand this morning put all the women's spend but all the women stand this morning I just like to see all the women stand this morning wasn't we bless this week if you came out on Monday we had prayer when we started out with prayer on Wednesday night we had the ministers in training and they gave us a word the wisdom light and the mercy of a God also on Friday night we had the women but with the Real Housewives of New Jerusalem for worship Center and they use the you should have been here it was really and we had a lot of fun and they had used the women of the Bible and they were talking about the certain things that women go through but through the grace of God who all knows that that's a free gift given to us the grace of God all of these women with three things but with God on their side in their life that they made it through so we are women we play a big role in our household into the church and what the main thing is the grace of God covers us everything we some things we deserve that we we should have happened but we didn't but the grace we talked about the grace walking in the grace women walking in the grace we have a lot to be thankful for today qug are covered all our sins and we still going through but start some things that God and knows that we gonna make it through but he knows that he's gonna be with us and through it all so I just like thank you women for being out here this week and and I also have a seat down just slow down and for all those that's visiting today I would like for you to stand our visitors today we want to say welcome welcome welcome and don't make this your last time come back and visit us again and you will truly be blessed and I that great that you have a blessed day god for another day and you don't you don't realize how much that mean until you going to some of the places that I've had to go this week in fact where we just left from Erskine and Reverend Ward a man we just left the hospital visiting one of our members and we it gives you a greater appreciation for life and you see life slipping away so somebody ought to give God praise just for the breath let me let me give thanks to these women that for this week I've been I've been the babysitter all week and Willie's been coming and having a good time coming back and telling me the great time that she had and my home babysitting and she's been having a great time amen our our our ministers in training she told me they did a wonderful wonderful job then the Housewives of New Jerusalem Jamaica wherever Housewives of of the Bible that was a wonderful as well access you would pray for those who are on our sickness especially for sister Mary Townsend who is said to be in transition and you pray for Sandra and for and for Gregg myself and governor Erskine and level Ward just left there a little while go so pray for for the family strengthen pray for the mercies of God to make itself available s today because there is a blessing in the house I I'm not going to give the introduction because I think they have a form of an introduction on-screen but I was in I was in Columbus Ohio o'clock last year last year she preached for our conference I'm on part of the presbytery of Berean fellowship of churches which will be coming here in April so mark your calendars in April visual clock is going to bring the conference here to this church to try and and so this is some pastors who churches are failing to find out how to grow a church and how to sustain the church but I heard this young lady preached to about 400 pastors there in Berea and how does all this [Music] young lady and I look at the I look at the program and she's from around the corner and I had to go all the way to Columbus Ohio to hear her and so you just buckle your seatbelt because you are in for an absolute treat this afternoon we had a blessed time this morning I had a wonderful preacher this morning come on give God some praise for it it's just it's just been a blessed day so just pray for her and I know you're going to be blessed and thank God for the women [Applause] we will now have our pristine AO dancers will be presenting a poem your grace your dance I worship you father God for you created me in my mother's womb fearfully and wonderfully made wooden awesome creation as the seasons into wine I find that it was grace for the God that envelope me and restored and renewed my body I leap towards the heaven as you order my steps my body arches as I give you praises and thanks I breathe breathe breathe your grace quiets my heart for I am embraced with miracles miracles miracles I gracefully dance for you father God I praise you with all my love when I was lost and found you found me and anointed me with grace my tears appears not for sadness but for joy and gladness peace surrounds me I smile for you live within my heart and I worship you father God for your grace has gently touched my body in so many ways and I'm reaching higher altitudes each day my body wrecks I feel your warmth radiating intensively upon my body for is you Father God you are the Sun and the shield I adore you I love you for you are worthy to be praised I give you hallelujahs the glory and the things your grace your dance for the Lord God is a Sun and shield the Lord will give Grace and glory no good no do it without God's grace and mercy Laurie thank you for this women day today Lord we think it was we have ladies you think that a ladies Lord the women and the ladies of this world and of this New Jerusalem church let us pray father God in the name of Jesus Lord be coming to you thanking you Lord Lord we thank you for your grace and your mercy Lord we thank you for your son Jesus Christ Lord who died on that rugged cross my Lord Jesus Lord we thank you for what you've done in our life and how are you provided for us Lord Jesus how you provided for households and children Lord you said that handles on a Thousand Hills is yours Lord and we belong to you and yours Lord Lord we love you would thank you for what you've given us that we can give a potion back to you Lord for the building up of your kingdom here on earth Lord we praise you Lord we glorify you Lord but just forgive us Lord of our sins and our transgressions Lord Lord go with those who are in need right now but go with those who have to give those who have not to you Lord we give you praise but give you glory and we give you honor we lift you up to the highs of heaven thank you praise you in a mighty and precious preaching staff at the greater Allen cathedral of New York under the pastoral leadership of Reverend dr. Floyd and Elaine flake a native of Baltimore Maryland she had her beginning in ministry at the Mount Calvary Church and ministries upon graduating with academic and military honors from Mead senior high school Reverend Pharoah matriculated as a biology pre-med major at Delaware State University after a year in the have she transferred back to Maryland to continue her studies currently she is completing her bachelor's in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship Reverend Pharoah has been blessed to minister on church and on the word live from the word Network studios in Detroit she has been featured in various written publications as a young leader in the church one of her proudest accomplishments is her first published work entitled delivered from dysfunction a seven step guide to a better you released April 2014 New Jerusalem join me in welcoming reverend Marissa our pharaoh to our pulpit today [Applause] can you give our women's day choir a hand we've been working so tirelessly effort look effort Lee that's what let's say I thank God for them we want to bring to you this afternoon sister Dolores led which did I say that she's one of our guests be blessed in Jesus name God won't let you know that God can work her milk anybody know he can work America hey man put your hands together and bless the Lord [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] come on bless salon mothers money look at your name and say he's still able you still have him whatever it is he's still able he cannot he can do it for you he's a healer he's our strength he's all in all he's a provider he gives us grace he gives us mercy and even when we can't see our way he is more more than another more than you know not just enough not a little less he is more can you say that more than enough from your heart he's more than enough [Music] you might provide [Music] you're the god of my strength and my salvation salvation you're [Music] anyhow [Music] see that you more than me no mother no [Music] daddy [Music] for me [Music] you're born any now [Music] Oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh you mean uh [Music] you want more than enough [Music] a man is he more than you know glory to God you know God is more than enough for you come on won't you open up your mouths in here and give God a praise like you're grateful cover just show time for you all over the building there just begin to honor God come on all in this place would you just jump to your feet open up your mouth and say something good to your God come on come on come on come on come on come on come on all over this place would you just stand all over this building and begin to worship our God for his great provision for his marvelous and excellence come on for the next 30 seconds can I just get you to bless God because he's more than enough come on all in this room all in this room all in this room we are grateful this morning and we serve a God who is in fact more than a known big man I don't know about you but this morning I'm grateful for more than you know I've known a lot of people who haven't been in us but I thank God that he is more than enough that when no good people walked away from me I still had a God who was walking beside me who has been more than you know and this morning we are grateful we are honored that we serve a God who is in fact more than enough for us we honor the spirit of the Lord that is in this place we thank God for the power of his presence and while we thank God for His presence surely we thank God for the pastor of this creature did you help me thank God and then of the Reverend dr. Calvin right young man and while you're clapping you want to clap a little harder because the side every great man there's an even greater woman would you help me thank God for your first lady a man a man a man a man we are honored today and certainly we salute each and every one of you who are here we bless God for these great women of this great church hey man all across this sanctuary this beautiful quiet and let us a van into into worship this morning to the dance team to the ministers of the gospel to the Deacons and their prospective places to the trustees so the men of God to lighted daddy and everybody we thank God for each and every one of y'all amen amen listen I would be completely remiss if I did not take the time to honor God from my pastors and the persons of Reverend doctors Floyd and Elaine flake a man for allowing me the opportunity to come and to share the word of the Lord this morning amen and listen the reason why I salute great leadership wherever we go is because we living in time where every leader isn't a great leader a man that's why you got to celebrate those who you have a monkey or a man and last week Remington Laine text me before I could get up the pulpit she saying which service you preaching next week I said well I got to go be with News andrewsl of us I need you to preach at 6:30 and so I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to come in to share the word of the Lord listen I did not recognize that I can met pastor rice before and so I'm glad that he knows a little bit about me because I don't want to come over here and just seem disrespectful in any level because what happens is when I go out in New York I got to bring my own Amen Corner Amen cuz I don't know if y'all gonna say Amen with me but i bought my own Amen Corner so I thank God for all the members of the allegory and the house who are here amen specifically to one of my best girlfriends in man Minister Stephanie joint grid I am honored today that you all have shared with me grab your Bibles turn with me this morning to the book of Habakkuk chapter number 3 while you're turning I'm just grateful I'm grateful for all the women but I'm grateful for the young people in the house this morning man amen I think they were grooving over there or on the organ and they was grooving in the first song and and I know I got the young folks attention because I started doing this money at my role when they they'd never seen a young preacher doing she Lundy in her own baby hey man so they started looking they start clapping I said see that's how you get if you got to do a little Millie right Paul I'm kidding but we've great for each and every one of you Habakkuk chapter 3 all turn with me come on ibaka chapter 3 now listen this is my first time being y'all to shop first I'm eating meat but what y'all need to know is I'm gonna help me preach kind of preaching then i'ma talk to you neighbor kind of preach if you don't want to talk to your neighbor you don't need to sit next to your neighbor you need to move you see it mangas you're gonna talk to your name today cuz I believe that there is power in agreement amen so when I talk to you you gotta talk to me with spiritual authority amen cuz you might just hold my next miracle in your mouth y'all ain't saying nothin to me so I need you to do a practice real quick just look all this and I say neighbor am I sitting next to the right person this morning hallelujah now they ain't talking back to you that's your cue you need to go ahead and move your seat but if they in the house somebody shout Amen Habakkuk chapter number 3 verse 17 through 19 I'm reading from the King James Version when you have it do me a favor and shout amen amen Ariz I'm disliking Habakkuk chapter 3 verse 17 through 19 King James Version says although the fig tree shall not blossom neither shall for being the vines the labor the olives shall fail the field-show you don't meet the flock shall be cut off from the fold shall be no herd in the stalls yet I will choose to rejoice in the Lord God of my salvation for the Lord God is my strength and he will make my feet like Hinds feet now I like the amplified because it comes back in verse 18 it says yet I will used to rejoice in the Lord I will choose to shout in exaltation to the victorious God of my salvation for the Lord God he is my strength my source of courage my invincible army and he will make my feet steady and sure like Hinds feet he will make me to walk upon mine high places with spiritual confidence and responsibility would you bow your heads for a word of Prayer gracious God our Eternal Father you just watch the more and again then will your humble servants come before your holy and your righteous name God this morning before we ask you for anything we want to take the moment to tell you thank you for everything thank you Oh God to being good thank you for being kind thank you for being merciful now I pray that you would in fact and indeed had me behind the shadows of your cross that the people may only hear see and know you and me I pray now that you help me preach to the end that sinners are save lives are changed and the body of Christ is edified and now God we ask the two things a word that is precise and right in the name of Jesus that the people of God shout amen hey man and they met on your way to you see won't you help me share my sermon I thought for the time there's been a lot of mind to share something that couldn't have been any more befitting look over at somebody let's do that thing like we got it and shall later you got the grace to get through it all right you ain't talking to the right person because somebody ought to been hollering about now look over somebody and shout neighbor Oh neighbor you've got the grace to get through it maybe seated in the presence of our God for the time that's been allotted mind to share I like to preach from this theme you've got the grace to get through it my brothers and my sisters as we stop and give great thought and thorough examination to the series of things that we have been through in our lives in the last few years in the last few months and for some of us in the last few days I believe that despite the difficulty of the things that we have had to face in our own lives that this morning we are seated here in our testimony will ultimately have to be that God has been good to us interestingly enough it would take a thorough examination to come to this conclusion because often times I have found that we as believers tend to magnify the burden of our problems over the sanctity in our survival in other words it is far easier to see how things are difficult rather than celebrate the fact that through it all you are seated here this morning in your right frame of mind regardless of how depleted you may feel because God has been good to you but I have come to understand that the difficulty in celebrating survival in this day specifically for those of us who call ourselves Christians is that we are often drawn to the questions as to why we as believers struggle in the first place because I am Christian because I follow God I do what God called me to do I often wonder why I had experienced struggle often we as believers are drawn to the questions in our lives that cause us to wonder why we got to go through anything often we find ourselves dealing with disappointment wondering why God has loud what God has allowed and I recognize that it is a difficult pill to swallow when we realize that we've been serving and struggling at the same time it is hard for us to look out in the world and see it being overrun with racism bigotry murders on every hand and not wonder why God would allow it it is difficult specifically for me I don't know about you but for me it is difficult to look at politics today and that wonder why God would allow it it is difficult for us to see our families struggling on every side and not a wonder why God would allow it for some of us it is difficult for us to look at our finances our faith our family realizing that we've done everything was supposed to do and we realize that there is still struggle and we simply wonder why God would allow it I'm crazy enough to believe that because God sent me here they may very well be somebody in the sanctuary this morning who's looking at your health your home your mind your money and your marriage you realize that the struggle is still real and you wonder why God would allow it for somebody here this morning if you were real honest with yourself you came here questioning the very purpose of your assignment due to the severity of suffering you've endured while trying to serve and say be saved in God and you wonder why God would allow it I don't know who you are this morning and you don't even have to confess it to me and you don't have to confess it to your neighbor but have you ever found yourself in a season where you wonder why God had allowed what he'd allowed in your life when you look up and you realize what's going on all around you all the problems all the turmoil all the difficulty and you wonder why God would allow it I know that we are raised up in a generation where we are taught you ought not question God I know that God makes no mistakes but if I can be real honest there are mornings that I wake up with my saved sanctified self and I wonder why God has allowed the things that he's allowed in my life y'all we as people we often get caught up in the questions when we see enemies arising in people or attacking people who are scandalizing i name health under attack and finances in a crisis we get caught up in the questions and we wonder why God allows what God allows and it is when we are going through these things that we forget the Word of God that said to us amid me are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord shall deliver us from them all because for some of us we feel like all we've been doing is dodging afflictions all our lives and we wonder and struggle with what God has allowed if you stay with me another 17 and a half minutes I'm gonna make it all make sense here now at the point of our text we find a very exemplary personification of this very principle that it is possible to serve God and still struggle with what God allows understand that in these recorded episodes of Habakkuk chapter 3 in these short chapters we find the Prophet who himself is struggling with what God had allowed can I talk to text a little while understand y'all that he has a position but he also has pain he has a title but he's also tolerating trauma which indicates to us that it is in fact possible to have power and still need a word of encouragement sometimes it indicates to us that it doesn't matter who you are how great you think you are every now and then we need a word from God to keep us in place in this first chapter of a back of the Prophet y'all he's complaining to God he raises this question in verse 2 of this verse chapter he says how long will I call for help and you not respond how long will I crime violence yet you do not say he says why did you call us me to look at it Nick would he understand that the Prophet is in a strait he's in a situation because he is watching the destruction of his homeland not only is he watching the destruction of his homeland but he's watching his people being taken under captivity so now he's distraught he's overwhelmed and he raises the question how long well I called you and you do not answer is there anybody here who knows what it feels like to be in a season where you're wondering God how long am I gonna call you but you do not answer how long well I actually help yet you choose to preserve yourself but what happens now in verse 5 is that God makes a reply but his reply is hard to come to grips with because Habakkuk is seeking deliverance from trouble and God simply confirms that he has allowed the trouble he's going through God says I'm doing something in your day that you would not believe if it were told to you he said for I'm raising up the shoutings of fierce and impetuous nation to march throughout the earth and take possession of dwelling places that don't belong to them now wait a minute you mean to tell me that Here I am complaining about being in trouble and you being God I have an expectation of you to remove me from trouble yet you just confirmed to me that you allow the trouble that I'm in and can I be honest with y'all I've been I can bet this on my life I only been in the AME Church for the last four years so I only got a little bit of sense I was reading the text and I got an attitude with God I was mad at the text y'all because he essentially Ibaka is saying God I need you to do something in my life and God says what you need me to do I have ordained and orchestrated for you to be right where you are now wait a minute I still got a problem because I'm serving and I'm struggling but you are giving my enemy a way to win in my face and I'm trying to understand why would God ever allow the enemy of this promise nation to thrive over them this question has plagued me and I'm crazy enough to believe that there may very well be somebody in this sanctuary this morning who understands what it's like to be in a situation where you are wondering why it seems like everything that's working against you seems to be winning now you ain't got to tell me you ain't even got to tell your neighbor but there were times when I feel like everything that's working against me is winning there were some seasons that I have had to walk to where I've had to acknowledge that it felt like people who are against me just seem to be winning everybody who was the one to do whatever they wanted to do against me seem to be winning and I'm trying to understand why I felt like I wasn't going anywhere I believe that somebody may very well have come here like Kabakov this morning and you're struggling with wildlife has weighed you down why you seems like all of your ventures are unsuccessful why you feel like you've been walking through a dry season why you seems like daily you have to struggle through different seasons and different places but here is the entire point of my sermonic dos course what I have come to tell you is that the word of the Lord to you is this that relationships are not built on running when things get bad but rather learning how to stand when things get difficult and can I tell you that as a Christian I have come to understand but I have to learn how to M who God is even when I don't like what God does because at the end of all of my crying and complaining he is still God at the end of all of my heartache he is still gone at the end of all of my frustration he's still gone and because he's gone I can trust that he is sovereign in all his ways and because he's sovereign I recognize that I can go through any season and as long as I'm going with God that eventually everything got to work out on my behalf would you do me a favor and tag somebody on your own and tell the neighbor if you just go through it God eventually everything has to work out in your favor I only came to talk about a hundred and fifty y'all in here who've been really going through this year and you've been wondering why you seem like your year was so tough I come to let you know that if you just go to a God everything is gonna be alright is there anybody in the building who knows what it means to understand that if you just go through with God but can I tell you what God wanted me to talk about what God wanted me to tell the people essentially as this is that there will be times in your life where God will not change your problem but he will change your perspective about your problem and the perspective that God wants you to gain in this season is that sometimes there will be situations in your life where you won't be able to get over you won't be able to go under you won't be able to get around but God will give you the grace to get through it would you tell somebody on your own telling neighbor God's about to give me the grace to get to my season and let me tell you something about grace grace is the ability to maneuver when you don't have an answer in other words he's about to show up and bridge the gap between where you are and where you're going he's about to cause you to maneuver through some doors in your life that you aren't even qualified to Walter because it's about to give you grace can I tell you what grace does or grace isn't answer when you don't have a strata gee and so for something y'all in here you might not have the money but you got graves you might not have the supporters but you got grayza you might not have the background but you got grace and grace is about to carry you over the bridge would you attack somebody on your own tell the neighbor I might not have the answer but I thank God I got grayza because grace is go help me get in yes sir when I should have gotten to know Grace's don't cause me tripping over to an average situation in my life grace is about to get you through yet you made it well might as well encourage yourself today and tell yourself I may never get around it I may never get over and I may never forget it but I thank God that he'll give me the grace to get through and can I tell you that even Jesus on the cross teaches us that sometimes your circumstances are not meant to be eliminated but rather meant for you to learn how to handle and I know it should be so because if God allowed it that means for some reason he thinks you're strong enough to handle it and not buckle under the pressure I wish I had somebody who would just talk to yourself forget your neighbor for a minute just holler at yourself and just shock I can handle this I don't know what so if this is what you want to tell yourself I can handle this tell yourself I can get through this tell yourself I can make it through this lay your hands on yourself and just declare I can handle this whatever your this is I couldn't handle it tell yourself to you believe it I can handle I can handle this yeah yeah yeah there will be times in your life where God won't change your situation but he will equip you to learn how to handle it brother musician stay right there I'll tell you when I'm ready to go don't get me too excited too early I know y'all because he did it for her Baca as we look at chapter 3 of this text we find now that the Prophet has shifted from complaining to praying now this is monumental for us to notate because when he understands what God is saying to him he stops complaining and he starts praying because he understands this y'all that when God makes a decision about your destiny your titles will not exonerate you from experiencing the season God has for you can I say it again when God makes a decision about your season your title will not exonerate you from having to walk through this season and go do it anyhow in other words it doesn't matter what archbishop you think you are it doesn't matter how many songs you've left it doesn't matter how many times you stood at the door it doesn't matter what age you stand Lord when God makes a decision about your destiny we all got to learn how to shift from complaining to pray because when trouble comes the Prophet shows us that we gotta switch from position to posture and it's not about who you think you are but it's about how big you can get in other words y'all I remember growing up when my daddy used to tell me Marissa you are not ever get so big that you don't know how to reach heaven on your knees because I can preach and prophesied the paint off the walls but when trouble comes I have found that there is a fortitude that is only found in prayer there's somewhere between the asking and the Amen God will provide an answer and I just want to know is there anybody who knows that prayer still has the power to help you get through what you can't come to grips with would you tell somebody prayer still works come on tag somebody on your own and shall brass seal changer prayer still changes things for y'all yo yo now here here's the very relevant question that I want to raise as I prepare to get out of here the first thing I'm that I get is on my mind is that that may very well be one who is here saying preacher that's good you told me I got grazer but what kind of grace do I have well I'm glad you answered because it's all right here in the text as we look now at the prayer of Ibaka we watched his transition from uncertainty to strength at the beginning of this third chapter Ibaka begins by saying I have heard the report he says I have seen the fears but then he begins to remember what God had done for his ancestors and so he prays for God to be that kind of God over his enemy but my time we drop down to verse 17 he makes this statement essentially saying God I have asked you for all of these things I asked you to deliver me and you chose not to I asked you to come through and you told me that my season has been allowed he said so I've asked you for all these things yet you choose to preserve yourself he says so although the fig tree does not blossom there are no fruit on the vines no the yielding of the olives have felt out in the land brings for no food essentially he is saying although I am in a season of no production then I got stopped in my tracks because I'm trying to understand Stephanie why Ibaka is focused on what is not happening but then I recognize that that is even grace and what's not going on in other words I've discovered that that is Grace in what God would not allow in your life I know we don't like this kind of talk but I'm the help here here's the first grace that God has given to us and here's where I need you to come and be an active participant in this preaching our grab somebody on your road to the neighbor God has given to us the grace of chastisement I understand now that Habakkuk is essentially saying all of these things have gone wrong there is no production on my prayer but watch the end of the first word of verse 18 he concludes verse 17 saying there is no production but he begins verse 18 with the word he yet understand that yet is an adverb meaning until this present or specified time meaning that is something that is going to follow the word in yet that has caused me to have an appreciation but the destruction I had to go through before I got to the yet y'all gonna catch you on your way home in other words he discovers that that is only an appreciation that is birthed on the first side of yet that you can only walk in and celebrate on the other side of yet Ibaka draws attention to the dysfunction of his situation because he found the grace in chastisement in other words Ibaka found a reason to rejoice because he knew that what he would do on the front side of yet was only preparing him for what was on the other side of the year and all I've really come to tell somebody this morning is that everything you had to go through all this side of yet was only building an appreciation but what God has for you on the other side of you I know because the writer came back and pinned the song that it was good for me to be afflicted I had to go through affliction but the reason why was so that I could learn the statutes of the Lord Palo understood it when he said there's a thorn in my flesh a messenger of Satan I don't like it but he has been sent to buff at me unless I become exalted above measure maybe you like the way James said it when you say count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations I don't like temptation but I know that did try you of my faith is working patient and I don't know about you but I know that it's easy to become tempted when you can't figure out what God is doing you've been tempted to walk away from what you believe but I come to tell you that there is Grace in your season of chastisement in other words God is using the season of no production to prepare you for the season of promise and manifestation God is using your season where there was no response to build you up but when he gives you an answer and stop by to tell you that I'm crazy enough to believe that in the last 51 days we got left cards about to sweetie yes just somebody here this morning in other words all I came to tell you is that when you're going through seasons of chastisement it's not God's Way of trying to kill you but it's God's Way are building your faith my soldier he's not trying to take you down he's just trying to teach you resistance he's not trying to take you out he's trying to teach you endurance he's not trying to break you he's trying to build flexibility he's not trying to kill you he's only trying to covering you he's not trying to break your spirit he's trying to blow your mind and I'm crazy enough to believe in here would you because God went great things God has for you one more time tag somebody tell the neighbor he's about to blow you man oh he's about to he's about your effective tag three people on your own tell our neighbor prophesy over your life that guy is about to blow [Applause] hey he's about to do with him he's about to do it yo yo yo yo yo yo yo I got about seven and a half minutes and I'm getting out of here but not only not only has God given to us the grace of chastisement but here is what I need you to help me preach grab somebody by the hands held them neighbor God has given to us the grace of choice watch this in verse 17 he ends up with the disillusionment of no production but then he picks up verse 18 with the word yet meaning up until this present point he says everything that I went through was preparing me for my now but what he said after that what's the second grace ibaka says he yells meaning despite all of this he says he yet meaning doesn't matter what's going on around me he says it yet I will choose to rejoice in other words her Baca makes up in his mind and he's going sighs his right to choose and the reason why I get mad at the church is because so often we give up my right to choose we let the devil steal I joke but can I tell you the devil don't even watch your joke you got the right to choose and Ibaka says guess what yo what no matter what's going on in front of me no matter what's going on around me while I met this crossroad of breaking down and breaking through he says I will rejoice in other words all I come to tell New Jerusalem today is that you gotta exercise your right to choose you don't have to walk around and what you're going through but you got the right to make a decision about your day and when you're at the crossroad I'll break it down and breaking through I am - you to make a choice like tobacco and let's go anyhow would you grab somebody on your road tell them neighbor you got the right to choose and today all I want to know is how will you respond when life has you not baguettes awawa how will you were small when life has you on your knees how will you respond I don't know about you but I made up in my mind a long time ago then I'm gonna exercise my right to choose and so I will result in spite of what's going on in my home I will resume in spite of what's going on in my mind I will rejoice and s'matter what's going on in my body I will resume but this is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad would you do me a favor watch somebody grab them back the hands hello neighbor I just want to know if your make a choice today in spite of what you had going on on the way here would you take the next 30 seconds and rejoice come on you want to shout you are to shout I dare you rejoice in the face of your problem tell you rejoice in the face of your issue what I tell you rejoice in the face of your burden yeah you're a joke in the face of your enemy yeah you're a Georgia in the face of your trial grab somebody by the hand as I prepared to leave this blazer with this hell somebody neighbor he's given to us the grace of chastisement and he's given to us the grace of choice but the last thing I want you to know her is it God he has given to us the grace of creation which is left I was somebody on your own and tell them labor God has given us the grace of creation can I break the text down to you but the Bible says that that's her buckler begins to pray he starts to find a strength in this prayer he said for the Lord God is my invincible army in other words the Lord is fighting for you but you touch somebody next to you and tell them name the Lord is fighting for you but then he goes on to say guess what he said he will make my feet like Hinds feet now yeah I missed my shout killer the first time I read the tempter is the female ready and she's the most surety creature in the entire world because the hind has a special ability so whether the changes in the atmosphere because she lives in the mountains and because she lives there the atmosphere is always changing but because she is a highly oh she has the ability to hold on to the atmosphere which means if it's slippery on the mountain her hooves create a ability to hold on to the rain if it's windy in the mountain she has the ability to weather through the winner if it's natural on the mountain she can narrow any play if it's steep on the mountain she can walk through anything and can I tell you what her Baptist says he says the Lord gone he will make my feet like hansi catch the revelation the first time but can I give it to all y'all here today the revelation is this that God will make like a cheetah meaning he will create in us what we need the moment that we needed and so you may not feel like you got the stream right now but when you get there I'm gonna tell you that the Lord he will make your feet like Hinds feet would you grab you a neighbor grab about the head and tell the neighbor all I want to tell you is that God has given you the ability to adapt to the changes he's given you the ability to roll with the punches he's given you the ability to weather anything so come what may you got a hold on because the Lord go he will make your feet like Hinds feet you ain't talking so the right neighbor neighbor shouting would you get out of your seat run across the aisles find you somebody they look like they're grateful must grab their neighbor behave and say neighbor God will grace you handle anything you still ain't talking to the right neighbor plus the right neighbor would have been running give me a favor get out of your seat run across the aisles Bruce you've got the grace you've got the great you got the grace to get how dare somebody just shout I didn't want to go through it but he gave me the grace to I wasn't comfortable with it but he gave me the grace grace will guide you and unknown circumstance Grace's are forever guiding light just pulling you through your Chuck you've got the grace to get through it I got I gotta get out of here watch this Ibaka what kind of grace did God give you well Marisa he gave to me the grace of chastisement I wasn't comfortable with it but all things that yet working together for the good of them they love the Lord he gave to me the grace of choice but so long I forfeited my decision I just let the devil do whatever he wanted to do with my life but I recognize I have a choice in the matter he gave to me the grace of creation what I don't feel I have now he will give me when I get there so he will make my feet like Hinds feet listen if you're here today you've been struggling through your season you've been trying to find that thing that's gonna be your guiding light the answer today is grace will give you ways to maneuver through obstacles that you should never even make it through people trying to figure out how you hear its grace hey trying to figure out how you survive is grace hey wonder how that cancer didn't kill you its grace you wonder how I got that car its grace you wonder how I got that job its grace [Applause] but here's what grace is grace is God's riches at Christ's expense grace it is God's ability to bless us it's his riches at Christ's expense which means that in order for us to access this grace God had to send His only Son died on the cross for you and me could we stand all over the building right here maybe there's one who's here who's never given your life over to this muck named Jesus Christ who made it possible for you to obtain this kind of grease perhaps you're here this morning and you've never given your life over to this man named Jesus Christ today is your day today is your day and I know we don't we don't like to be Hellfire and brimstone preachers anymore but the Bible tells us shall we continue in sin that grace may abound in other words will we continue to take advantage of our grace some of us been maneuvering through situations all our lives and we've been trying to figure out how we've been making we know we didn't deserve to be there but grace has kept us if you're here this morning and you say preacher I owe my life to this God who has graced me to make it this far would you do me a favor would you just make your way out of your seat now into this to Laurens altar you may be in the balcony you may be here on this lower level but we want to extend the opportunity for you to know this man named Jesus Christ
