power to avoid that thing we've come tonight to worship you in spirit and in truth in order to worship in spirit and truth we need the spirit of truth grant him to us their father that he may guide our minds into truth jesus said in john 16 13 how be it when he the spirit of truth is come he will guide you into all truth guide us dear god please put your words in my mouth give me the attitude of turn to that genesis 1 the first one look up look up look up that's where redemption comes from what does it say in the beginning god created the heaven and the earth by the way that's my favorite bible verse in the beginning we have time god we have a person created we have an action the heavens we have space the earth we have matter we have time space matter and the cause of all of that in the beginning god created the heaven and the earth what i like about the bible is the direct statements it makes the bible doesn't set out to prove that god exists it simply declares there is a god and the earth on which you live and the heavens under which you live were made by him and of course made by his word in the beginning god created the heaven and the earth go to the book of job the chapter 38 we'll read from verse 1. our subject returned to sender job 38 reading from verse 1 is that clock saying 7 15 where is my little sister 7 12 all right what book did i say job what chapter 38 reading from verse 1 our subject returned to sender then the lord answered job out of the whirlwind and said who is this that darkness counsel by words without knowledge gird up now thy loins like a man for i will demand of thee and answer thou me question 1 where was thou when i laid the foundations of the earth declare if thou has understanding what's god telling job you have nothing to do with creation now god could have said the same thing to adam where were you when i made the firmament where were you when i said let there be light where were you when i made the trees he had not yet existed he could say the same thing to adam because adam came after everything was done god is asking arrogant people where were you when i made heaven on earth now keep this in mind god made heaven and earth humanity had no contribution angels did not help archangels did not help cherubim serve him only god created now let's go to genesis 14 and let us look at a very very interesting expression in this chapter abraham has delivered lot from captivity and he brings a lot back lots possessions the women the all the goods he brings them back because god helped him win that battle we read from verse 18 of genesis 14 our subject returned to sander and melchizedek king of salem brought forth bread and wine and he was the priest of the most high god and he blessed him and said now read with me declares god made the heavens and the earth the bible declares god possesses the heavens and the earth let us go to revelation 11. let's see that god really owns the earth and the heavens as well revelation 11 we read verse 18 return to sender is our subject the very last book of the bible the book in which all other books find their fulfillment by the way you can do yourself no greater favor than studying daniel and revelation they must go together one explains the other all the other 65 60 4 books contribute but daniel and revelation explain each other revelation 11 reading verse 18 father in heaven as i continue to speak continue to pour out your spirit upon me in jesus name i pray amen and the nations were angry and i wrath has come at the time of the dead that they should be judged and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets and to what the saints and to them that fear thy name small and great now you finish that verse and should what destroy them come on which destroy the earth now if the earth belong to us there's no need for god to find fault if we destroy it we're destroying what is ours but the bible says i will destroy those who destroy the earth why because the earth is mine that's on a broad scale go to first corinthians 3 and when i tell you to read with me you're very hesitant i don't know if it's cultural or what but if you have the king james feel free to read then i know you're with me what book did i say first corinthians what chapter three reading from verse 16 our subject what return to sender looks like 20 minutes or 19 minutes after seven very good time tonight first corinthians 3 16 17 know ye not that ye are the temple of god yes ye are the temple of god and that the spirit of god dwell in you if any man do what defy this temple keep reading him shall god destroy for the temple of god is holy come on which temple you are you as the temple of god you belong to god and god says if you defile this temple i will destroy you god tells us in revelation 11 18 if you destroy the earth i will destroy you the earth is god so are the heavens you and i belong to god let's go to first corinthians 6. first corinthians 6 we read 19 and 20 very familiar passages when you found it say amen read with me what knowing not that your body is what the temple of the holy ghost which is in you which you have of god finish that verse and ye are not your own if you're not your own tell me you belong to god now listen to me carefully the bible has symbolic language and the bible has mainly literal language what we just read is literal you are not your own then god gives a reason which we can understand verse 20 come on read with me for ye are bought with a price question for you that suit you're wearing to whom does it belong to you did you buy it yes that house you live in it's yours did you buy it yes you're still paying for it but it's yours those shoes you're wearing are they yours did you buy them yes so god is saying okay fine let me speak in your commercial language i paid for you your mind having said that if everything belongs to god why does god give us what he gives us why did god give me life why did god give you life everything belongs to god let's reason together let's go now to first corinthians chapter 10 our subject return to santa first corinthians 10 it's a well-known verse when you see area of your life is excused from glorifying god none then why was life given to us to give it back to god why by living a life that glorified listen to me again we give our lives back to god by living a life that glorifies him let's take a look at first corinthians corinthians first chronicles 29 first chronicles 29. we read from verse 11 return to sender god has given us life we are to return it to him by living a life that glorifies him god gave us a body we are to return it to him by not defiling this body there's this give and return first chronicles 29 reading from verse 11. some of you still looking i'll give you 10 more seconds to find it first chronicles 29 reading from verse 11 do you have it now all right thy o lord is the greatness and the power and the glory and victory and the majesty in other words anything that's considered great powerful glorious victorious majestic comes from god thy oh lord is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty now read with me for all that is in the heaven come on and in the earth come on is thine thine is the kingdom o lord and thou art exalted as head above all above all where in uh yes somebody's listening in heaven and on earth verse 12 come on both riches and honor come of thee stop you all look well off you all look wealthy to whom does your money belong come on talk to me god don't let him show you that are you with me don't let god prove your money is his get ahead of him and return it to him don't let him grab it because it's rightfully him both riches and honor cometh they and the reign is over all and in thine hand is power and might and in thine hand it is to make great and to give strength unto all god does that now therefore our god we thank thee and praise thy glorious name verse 14 but who am i and what are my people that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sword read the last part of that verse for me come on nice and loud all things come of thee and of thine own have we given thee in other words god gives and then he says give it back listen again all things come as thee and of thy known have we given thee god gives and then he says now let me see what you're made of give it back god gives you a hundred dollars how much of it belongs to god huh all 100 all 100 belongs to god did you not read verse 12 of first chronicles 29 both riches and honor come of thee did you not read haggai chapter 2 verse 8 the silver is mine and the gold is mine did you not read psalm 24 1 the earth is the lord and the fullness thereof the world and they that dwell therein when god gives you a hundred dollars all hundred belongs to god but god in his mercy does not need to test you all of what he says give me back what 10 that 10 represents everything let me 10 i give to you you give back to me let's go to first corinthians 6. we serve a god who loves to give somebody say amen which means a stingy person cannot be a child of god a stingy person can be a member of the church but not a child of god first corinthians 6 reading verse 15 do you have that are you sure first corinthians 6 15 let me pray father as we continue this difficult message very challenging let your spirit make it acceptable and easily understood in jesus name i pray amen verse 15 what does that say read for me know ye not that your bodies are the members of christ shall i then take the members of christ come on and make them the members of a heart now in that church men would go looking for prostitutes follow me closely because i have to be delicate with my words are you with me they'd go look yeah you know why men go looking for prostitutes okay paul is saying your members what's what are my members this hand is a member is a member this is a member this is a member that's enough are you with me okay [Laughter] god is good all the time now god is saying now nor is he speaking to men who are looking for prostitutes they're not looking for prostitutes for bible study are you with me now knowing not that your bodies are the members of this belongs to christ this belongs to christ this belongs to christ that belongs to christ this belongs to christ shall i then take the members of christ this this and everything else and connected to a harlot let me ask you directly to whom do our reproductive organs begin belong god so god is telling those men you can't use yours to go connect with a because that belongs to me verse 16 read with me what does that say what come on know ye not that he which is joint and harlot is one flesh for two saith he shall be is one body for two saith he shall be one flesh paul is quoting from genesis 2 24 therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave to his wife and there shall be one flesh spiritually and physically paul is saying look when you connect a prostitute you and she or you and he because the male and female prostitutes become one flesh but you're not one flesh in a spiritual sense you only want flesh physically paul is saying the members of your body belong to me all right so god gives us our bodies he gives us our minds historical sketches page 285 paragraph four what did i say historical sketches page 285 paragraph four you should write that down if you can listen carefully particularly the young every youth should be impressed with the fact that he's not his own that his time his strength his talents belong to god it should be his chief purpose in life to glorify god and to do good to his fellow man she is saying every young person should understand my youth my energy my vitality this sharp mind i have they all belong to god and i have to return them to the sender are you with me by using them in a way that glorifies god whether therefore you eat or drink or study biology or run a business or whatever you do do it in such a way that you give back to me what i've given to you a life without flaw or fault because what god gives has no flaws what god gives has no flaws and god says give it back to me how the same way when this letter comes to your mailbox you just put return to sender you turn it back you don't open it you return it as is now let's see what else god has given us before i get into that let's pray father i reach this high note in the message please father help me i pray in jesus name amen keep your eyes up john 3 16. you know i say keep your eyes up john 3 16. are you with me come on say i'm going to keep quiet that was a beautiful noise thank you very much for god so loved the world come on that he gave stop or sent what did jesus say i have glorified you on the earth i have finished the work which thou gaves me to do or sent me to do god sent him or god gave jesus now listen for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son to whom to us how do we know that he came as a human being not as an angel now what did i say when god gives you something how does he want it back in the same condition in which he gave it now follow me closely i hope someone is praying for me did god give us jesus yes he wants jesus back in the same condition how does that happen i am crucified with christ nevertheless i live yet not i but christ liveth in me so that express life the life of christ is returned to god in the original condition and the life of christ has no sin give christ back to god in the life that we live by having christ live out his life in us that we might fulfill first corinthians 10 31 whether therefore you eat or drink or whatsoever you do now listen to jesus he that have sent me is with me the father hath not left me alone for i do always those things that please him god has given to you and me jesus christ he gave us the world and he wants it returned in the same condition that's why he'll destroy those who destroy the earth revelation 11 18 he gave us a body he wants it preserved in his pristine condition that's why he destroyed those who defiled his body first corinthians 3 17. he's given us christ he can't have us return to him a soiled jesus an adulterous jesus a sabbath-breaking jesus a tithe stealing jesus a grudge holding jesus a refusing to forgive jesus he wants him back the way he gave him and that is a sinless jesus which is the only life christ can live out in us we must return christ to the sender by having him live up that life through us that requires con stunt surrender return christ to the sender return this body come on to the center return this mind to the sender return the earth over which we were given dominion to the sender in the condition in which it was sent christ is a gift to mankind as ella white writes in councils on stewardship page 18 paragraph 1 above all is the infinite gift of his dear son it's a gift through whom flow all other blessings for this life and for the life to come we're blessed in this life through christ the blessings extend in the life to come through christ he has given christ to us and he tells us give him back to me by allowing him to live out his life in you and i say again to you and to me the life christ lives out in us is a life without sin therefore the bible requires of us that we first believe that victory over sin is possible and we look to christ for the power to live that kind of life somebody say amen there are too many in the church who do not believe you can conquer sin all things come of thee and of thy have we given thee let's go to john 15 we take a look at christ living out in us what time is it my lovely sister oath or we have time let's look at how christ lives out in us as we return him to the father by an upright life empowered by the spirit of christ john 15 we'll read from verse one our subject return to sender let's pray father as i get into this part of the sermon god please tighten your grip on my mind restrain my carnal nature father that your glory becomes my only concern in jesus name i appeal to you amen john 15 reading from verse 1 i am the true vine and my father is the husband man every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away and every branch that beareth fruit he purges it that it may bring forth more fruit now you clean through the word which i have spoken unto you stop look at verse three again for those of us struggling with one weakness or another look at verse 3. for those of us with one or another kind of contamination on the soul look at verse 3. now ye are clean the word clean means purged as the word purge is found in verse 2. now you clean the dead branches that all those spots remove through the word but finish that verse which i have spoken must be thus saith the lord we are cleansed through the word go to revelation 19 read verse 13 quickly then we'll come back to john 15. revelation 19 reading verse 13. our subject return to sender that applies to all ages by the way god applies that to my little brothers my little sisters the grown-ups god wants christ given back to him through the life he lives in us revelation 19 verse 13 we just read in john 15 3 now you clean through the word which i have spoken unto you now read revelation 19 13 and he was what clothed how with the vesture dipped in blood and his name is called what the word of god now you clean through the word who is the word jesus let's go to john 6 63. now let's go to john 14 16. john 14 16 we'll get to 663. john 14 16 we just read in revelation 19 13 that christ is called the word of god john 14 verse 16 are you there and i will pray the father and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever even the spirit of truth now read verse six of that chapter what does that verse say jesus saith unto him what i am the way the truth and the life now the spirit is called the spirit of truth jesus says i am the truth jesus says you cleanse through the word revelation says jesus is called the word the word of truth is christ the spirit of truth is the spirit of christ we are cleansed by the life of christ in the word you heard my words but i did not make them clear let me say it again listen to me carefully we are cleansed by the life of christ in the word now we go to john 6. when i say the life of christ in the word i can't explain it but the bible teaches it the very life of god is in his word do you have john 6 verse 63 read with me it is the spirit that quickeneth what does quickeneth mean to make alive it is the spirit that quickeneth keep reading the flesh propheteth nothing now we have spirit and we have quickeneth what does quickness mean give life so we have life and spirit do you see that come on do you see that the spirit quickness quick myth is life so we have life and spirit now it is the spirit that quickeneth the flesh prophet of nothing read the next few words the words that i speak unto you come on they are spirit in their life they're both in the same place the verse says it is the spirit that gives life jesus says the word is spirit and life but the word is also christ what am i trying to answer the question how then can christ live in me so i can give him back to the father by his life lived in me through the word of god now let's go back to john 15 and anchor that point john 15 we read from one all the way down to seven return to sender is our message do you have john 15 well let's skip one and three we read that let's go to four save some time when you enforce a m abide in me and i in you stop what are the two things we just found out the verse tells us two things what's number one abide in me that's what jesus said you abide in me what's the next statement i knew so we have two things are you with me you're not answering me maybe i should speak easy you're not answering me do you see abide in me do you see an eye in you how many things do you see two abide in me i knew all right as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine no more can ye except you abide in me abide in me i knew go to verse five i'm vine you're the branches he that abideth in me stop and i in him stop do you have he that abideth in me do you have that there do you have i in him so we have the same thing in five that we have in four i've lost some of you let me find you you must get this tonight or we're going home at ten o'clock look at verse four abide in me do you see that we are to abide in jesus what's the next part and i and jesus abides in us okay abide in me i in you verse 15 verse 5 sorry what does that say i am the fine you're the brand he that abideth in me so christ says abide in me and i in him so we have the same things repeated do you see that okay now read verse seven come on stop did we see that before where in verse 4 come on and verse 5. what else did we see in 4 and 5 i in you now look at verse seven if he abide in me we saw that and ah but what should we read if he abide in me and i abide in you but that's not what's written if he abide in me and my words meaning my words are the same as i abiding in you do you see that then how does jesus abide in us through the spiritual word which means it's impossible to give back the life to god without this it's impossible to behave properly in this covered age of the world without guidance from this it's impossible to conquer our besetting temptations without this it's impossible to resist a deception without this that's how christ abides in us the spirit-filled word and when that happens we return that life to sender in the condition in which it was given a victorious all-conquering life listen to me god gave us a body he says glorify me so when we take care of our bodies we're giving them back to god by glorifying him you know eating drinking dressing and inhaling and injecting are you following me he's given us a physical body and we talked about that he's given us a mind to think holy thoughts because as he thinketh in his heart so is he he's given us the earth he says take care of it in the condition which i gave it and if you destroy it i will destroy you above all else come on he's given us jesus i want him back in the same condition in which i gave him how do we do that father by allowing him to live out his life in you and how does he do that through the spirit-filled word somebody say amen make time for this give christ back to god in your life by allowing jesus to live out his life in you and in me return that life where to send her how many will say father help me to return jesus to you by having him live his life in me do you mean that do you mean that stand up with me return to sender everything is from god except sin that's ours and god is so good he wants that too not in the life lived in sin just confess the sin put them on jesus who carries away the sins of the world heads bowed eyes closed father we thank you for the simplicity of your word when it is studied carefully and under the guidance of your spirit you've given us vision let us be careful what we see on the internet you've given us ears let us be careful what we listen to when we put on those head forms and no one else can tell what we're listening to you give us a body let's be careful what we eat and drink and where you've given us a mind let's return it to you by dwelling on spiritual things as the bible says let this mind be in you which was also in christ jesus above all the god you've given us jesus let's return him to you by having him live out his life in us and how does he do that father through the indwelling of his spirit-filled word dear god tonight whether is our body or the earth or our mind or jesus we want to return these things to sender in the original condition help us to do that de god so that as jesus could say he that have seen me have seen the father when god when christ has lived out in us the world will say they that have seen the sdas have seen jesus take us to this night bring us back tomorrow remember those who need to make decisions for baptism their god whether in this building or online move upon their hearts with the force of love that they may finally make that life-saving decision bless us i pray give us increasing love for
