all right the project right now is working on this Bobcat so I just published a video where this belongs to my buddy we installed new tracks on this and then put a stump bucket on it and pulled out some stumps of it and it was working good but in the process of installing the tracks we had noticed there was a problem right with this front idler I guess in the idler horn that's called where it needs some welding because that was why it was throwing the old track now this new track has been staying on fine but we wanted to get that fixed but the reason it needs to be fixed right now is it developed a hydraulic leak from this drive motor here so this thing still drives around obviously with that leak that needs to be fixed so let's pull this track off and you know not to drink yeah you do you're smart all right so let's pull this track off and fix the idler and fix this leak look at that this leaking pretty good you can hear it too hopefully it's just the hose [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so here's a better look at what's the problem right there you see that line it's just completely rusted through and sleek and and I'm sure that one's not far behind it and if you go down here look at these other lines you can see that one right there that's ready to go as well so what we got to do here is clean this as best as we can then all these lines gotta come off and be replaced I guess that could be replaced as well cuz that's Lutton Dehradun but it still look like there's a gap on that thing no matter what which just lets a cake up with dirt in two seconds and then the lines just rust out this thing's not even that old if you're getting a skid steer this is don't even look at Bobcats get like at a coochie or an IH I think a lot of the cats are good yo and Mars are good I mean this thing only has like 3,500 hour I had a few Bobcats could never keep them running they're always leaking everything junk like here's a good example here I have this machine it's Kubota yeah Kubota skid steers are good too check out the hours on this thing [Music] looking at 9700 hours on this that is that's like a car with 500,000 miles on it that is a lot and this thing is Parman doesn't leak anything it's operates absolutely perfect I've owned it over a year rented it out and didn't come back broken okay so there's our motor our hoses coming from the drive motor II through there are they not too bad to get to all right it's that one there that one there and oh here's one right there this would be one more our that's not that bad all right we got that well here's where we were working so that's clean things it's gonna be let's guy shut up with the same truck this is me and he's like oh let's try this computer in yours makes it go faster I check this out you try something there does no faster oh wow and that's my fastest around Wow I gotta order is that the other yeah I guess once like you drive around with that for a while then you get rid of it you'll feel like the trucks broken or something's back bending the tires right now Wow coming up to this hill here big hill third drive even this Hill like you almost look like it makes it on third but it not quick for Donald when two forth are we losing pieces of the - that's fine oh yeah yeah if you haven't four-wheel drive it actually accelerates instead of spins I mean that's they're so rusty they're not what ever saw bubbles down in there [Applause] two broken just ripping there yeah that's just pure rust yeah break off yeah progress okay it came easy broke off easy okay I have to service this whole machinery for I bought it yeah yeah I don't think it was this one [Music] you at least that gets it right yeah so it's like cap in there keep all the stuff out of it I might just like put the gum this one's bigger [Music] good turn so it's still to stuff that's uh oh no it's not a flat face see how it's got the taper yeah so there's truly no overing on that yeah I don't see any yeah that one all right all right the top one goes to the back [Music] [Applause] your honor we're on it good here I'm a hoppy I'm on I don't with you two ready all right we got it oh it's not that bad from right here Oh can you get up yeah they just let it yeah yeah try that you just crank it down side of it they break let it go good yep oh yeah you're on good shape there we gotta bring so when we go the hydraulic shop bring that and remember like I mean you could probably match up these broken pieces but look exactly the same [Music] all right yeah this one came right off [Music] [Music] these need to go because he's gonna want these so it's obvious that this one went to that one like that and this one here yeah [Music] we all fell off this thing that's been loose there's like no threads left on it look at that brand-new threads [Music] oh man that just he's been like that for a while and that was like that for so I got a brand new cord found terminal right there through this search here [Music] [Music] all right cool well that's fixed it would be cool if this thing had like an hour gauge on it because I've been using this thing a ton lately I've probably put over a dozen of those 33 pound spools through it welding that roof together and the thing hasn't given me any trouble I just been ignoring that loose wheel and that loose cord for a while but alright let's get to work on this this has been soaking like vinegar and penetrating oil and I try to dissolve rust and so we gotta try to get those bolts out of there the best way to usually get out broken bolts like this take a nut stick it over it come out like that and so the heat from the welding it helps loosen up the bolt plus welding the nut to it actually gives you something to bite onto you see if we get it now I'm cranking hard on it it shouldn't be that hard just gonna tighten it [Music] I know it's gonna break [Music] no that's just that's not going nice so now when it gets that low like it's flush like we keep losing the bolt yeah you then you first thing you want to wash her to it okay then you just breaking right off I think it's going this time look at that finally I was like seven tries on that one I guess it was good we couldn't find the socket maybe maybe letting it really cool down really oh yeah that was like easy that time yeah just came right out yeah all right now we got to clean this [Music] [Music] it's got to go right where it was so how we looking just get it started you it doesn't like fit right it's not Wow alright here's the problem of running into these new hoses we got see how that's not lining up look at that that's that should be flush in there that's hate the qual here that this these hoses are wrong plus it's hitting here so we either guy go back to the hydraulic shop or get it right from Bobcat but how much did you Adam how much were these hoses from Bobcat 500 from the hydraulic shop wouldn't you say it was like 800 from Bobcat no that was it from this guy Bobcat was 1200 Bobcats 1200 for these two hoses no for all four wow I mean you could almost grind this and put it together but it's I'm gonna fix these the threads are ripped right out of these but not on it that's fixed they come from Bobcat I come from that that's I thought it was like 600 it was 97 yeah Wow is that starting out right or is that primer for rusty metal [Music] here's some black let that dry dried pretty quick okay so I'm on right there all right you're on right there yeah that's actually like okay you can start yours if you let me put these tell me it's good two more bolts in here then that's pretty much on I didn't tighten it all the way but everyone wants to see you finish cleaning that rock off really is that you are you gonna is that the next job I'm gonna bring this to yeah yeah that's the thing I just just break every time like I'm supposed to be like that but it's that's it I mean if you'll goes in it right oh yeah it's not leaking [Music] so this is the top one so this should route ready for it need to go above anything baby kisses that right there is close on my airings in I can feel it [Applause] [Music] say this line is now zip-tied you can get a full run pretty much all [Music] let me let me start my site because I got an elbow that's not even a hose leaking it's just that rusty that it's leaking right out of the the drive unit so I could try to weld it but that's a wait there's there's a slight chance of well known yeah lose the spy it's like it's kind of indented right here it's right here I just turn the Wallow down pretty cold like there's a chance of this working there much covered the spy I was leaking in I don't think I was too hot where I melted through anywhere else so nots leaking right out of there it's like you're wild and the whole thing is just paper-thin and and just we could clean it really good and cover it in jb weld yeah and put it together or if you want to just get a drive motor and fix it right yeah it's just so rusted out right so we got fit I think these are metric this is how you get this off you you put bolts into these so here's some I don't have any metric bolts but here's symmetric taps I think that's it she found symmetric stuff here everyone homes get a different size [Music] I sure like torched out bigger and he welded a knot on there and then that would that would do it if these were these are too small to pull off the sprocket that's a stupid design like that's what I think about this is a stupid design like look at that look at the design on this machine over here see the sprockets on this that segmented so you can just change the segments so like you changed the sprocket like BAM couple bolts that's to come right off it's not like a pressed on dish that's impossible to get and you could either change the sprocket on this thing out even taking a track off of this same on that old track loader that thing over there that's from like the 60s and they understand to put like segmented sprockets on it and then like Bobcat like this thing's not even that old 2006 all right so this sprocket its foot you're supposed to the thread bolts in there to push it off but these they just strip right out they're not big enough so Cody suggested he's like wanted you to use their excavator to rip it off so let's try that cuz [Music] all right that's how you do that oh that was a good idea Cody good boy good idea now there's no way those are coming now there's even there's no reason for it [Music] you you see these will come out oh you look nice look at that right there [Music] [Music] slag [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] all right it's I think that's a pretty tight [Applause] you [Music] he kept having problems with the grease fittings failing that hold the grease in this cylinder in here which keeps the track tight regular grease fittings are just kind of meant for greasing stuff this one is actually meant for this purpose it's I think it's stronger alright so the next thing needs to be fixed is right here where this front idler goes you can see this is broken here and that made this go this way which gave the idler a lot of slop and that was making it throw the track so see if we can squeeze this back together we're supposed to be weld that up probably put a brace right there and that should be good alright that looks pretty straight I was cleaning that off while that and welded this together and built it up quite a bit because the the track is just constantly sawing on that spot so [Music] [Music] [Music] you all right I say that stronger that it was new I so I mean you want to try to put something on here well it may interfere with the track once we get to see how I mean see how the track is rubbing on that already so I don't know how much I mean plus the track was rubbing here right so it's like can you even get anything there right you know I think it just don't run this in the stall and this is a bad design the way these hoses are exposed right to the essentially the elements okay that all went together really well so there's you know I didn't then I think there's any chance of a leak and I mean it was good last time except the motor was rusted through [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you right gosh we fixed it yes yes [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you you see you know I kind of feel like this is one of those things I should have done a long time ago that looks pretty nice I think I'm gonna get some more gravel for down there because the thing that kept happening like I kept like tracking mud into here and almost times sweeping this out I like having the floor really clean
