Setting up a metal building

so all right i'm on this job here today the plan is to dig a foundation for new garage so the guys got it all marked out that's right here so here's a corner another corner over there any edges there we just finished putting the electric in here the electric companies supposed to bring the meter and the transformer soon all right so i'm doing something a little bit differently this time i my schedule's been crazy i'm just dropping this off and letting the guy do it all right so this is how the site looks as i'm dropping this thing off so let's come back in a little while and check this out all right so i'm back two days later let's see how this guy did here well it looks like he's got his footing dug hit some decent rock there though all right well at least the trench isn't full of water and he didn't call me saying the machine is broken or anything another couple weeks went by and we're here they got the forms ready they're pouring us this afternoon so this is the form for the footing for this garage come on all right so here's the finished product here with the footing all poured so that's nice that's a nice wide footing all right so this is it right after the uh walls are poured you just started just started stripping the forms [Music] oh [Music] so [Music] oh [Music] so [Music] mhm so [Music] all right i'm back here a few weeks later and this is what's been done so all the walls are poured for this footing and i think the next stage is to just kind of finish the dirt work around the edges so i think a lot of that gravel he ordered that to fill in the center and then that slab can be poured i'm back here a week later bringing more gravel so the guy got all this gravel spread out and he got a bunch of plumbing in so you can see and there's the plumbing going out and the septic system is designed but it's way out there through the woods and these are going to be garage doors right here [Music] all right that bucket will work much better for moving this gravel around all right so here we are a few weeks later and all that gravel piles in and just finishing up on some conduits and stuff getting ready for the floor pour all right so here i am back another couple weeks and this is what they've done so far so it looks like they have the vapor barrier down and it's a nice thick one too that's nice stuff there it's thick and the insulation and the rebar for the pour for the slab and i think he's doing radiant heat yeah so that's definitely the hookups for the radiant heat right there and conduits all right well this is looking good all right hey i think so we'll see where we're at [Music] there you them the go look right here keep your stick right off the wall now okay first [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] the building was delivered too this can start going up so it's like a whole kit everything's all pre-made and just gotta bolt it together all right that guy's ready to put up his garage and he says he needs a scissor lift because the thing's pretty tall so i haven't used this in a while let's see if it works [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so before [Music] so [Music] i needed this trailer later in the day to move a snowmobile so i make a train but check it out it's all legit watch all the lights work so [Music] so all the steel is here the steel building's ready to go up now the foundation is done he needed this because this building is actually he says 26 feet tall so go up we'll just turn on put it to up and then the drive around you flip it that way and then that shuts it down [Music] blah blah [Music] watch your hair [Music] go ahead you got it you can try it all right let me get you another piece of [Music] wood all right so here i am a few days later to pick up my lift because they don't need two of them now and they got this pretty far along so let's just let that charge [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] i need this on my project now but he's he's pretty good shape here now [Music] [Music] all right so i'm back here a few months later and this is kind of where it's at so i'm gonna kind of end the video at this point so i've got my lab inspectors here to check everything out so this could be like a garage right here another garage door what do you think levi this concrete pour got done up here so my part of this project is pretty much done but they just got to kind of finish closing this in and then do all the little details on the inside [Music] [Music] you
