but so much the more as you see that day approaching so as a matter of some is but so much the more as we see the day approach and some may not be gathering out some may only meet once a week but i'm glad that we still have one wednesday night service around redemption road church aren't you aren't you i believe there's a blessing for those that gather out and press to make that little extra bit little bit of effort together out in the house of the lord if you would let's all stand let's go before the lord in prayer if you have a special prayer request i want you just to raise your hand if you've got something that you're needing the lord to move in everybody i want you to look all around you look at the person to your right to your left in front of behind get somebody on your mind and won't you pray for that person and as we go before the lord in prayer our most gracious heavenly father tonight we come before you in the mighty name of jesus we thank you lord for another opportunity that we have together together in your house we thank you lord that you're almighty god and that there's nothing that you cannot do for all things are possible with you pray god that you're moving the lives and the needs of each and every one that's gathered in this place tonight you know the heart you know the need god and you can move we ask you lord to show up and do what you are famous for do that god that only you can do lord and we'll give you all the praise the glory and the honor we thank you for this opportunity pray god that you'd save the lost heal the sick and encourage them that are saved it's in the mighty name of jesus we pray amen amen somebody's glad to be in the house of the lord tonight let's go to the lord hey clap of praise hallelujah why don't you just look at very moving it touches the innermost part of man touches our spirit man inside because his things in the unseen world amen to move when we name that name of jesus hallelujah i know the world uses that name for a by word but jesus is not a byword amen jesus is the son of the living god hallelujah he's my savior he's my strength he's my peace he's my joy he's everything to me hallelujah i love that song brother jeremiah sings he's my everything hallelujah and so when we sing songs about jesus i know it makes him happy it makes me happy amen to see him to hear other people sing them and just to worship him when we come into god's house to worship even though you know sometimes there's not a lot of people when you consider thinking of a big crowd of some kind it's not like a camp beaten crowd or a revival meeting crowd but the bible says where two or three are together in my name he said i'll be there hallelujah you see when shadrach meshach and abednego got in the fiery furnace there were just three of them but he showed up somebody said he showed up hallelujah he showed up and then there were four and then there were four praise god and so when we worship and praise the lord it's good to praise god at home i praise the lord at home this morning so and getting ready for church i'm always humming and singing and praying talking to the lord and going on you know and uh and so uh you know so if you're out with me some words you hear noises just don't pay no attention to me and uh but uh i love coming to god's house and worshiping with all god's people don't you know that he's real there's nothing too hard for god nothing too big for god and there's nothing that god cannot do for his people and for his child how many consider yourself a child of the king tonight remember that when the devil comes to lying and the devil comes to steal and he comes destroying and all that remember who you are amen that you're a child of the king and royal blood flows through your veins thank you lord jesus praise god let's give the lord another handclap of praise tonight say lord i thank you jesus we're going to ask brother joe and the ushers to come tonight and we're going to give to the lord we're going to ask the lord to bless our offering tonight get your tithe and your offering ready and we'll ask the lord to bless in that need that you may have in your life tonight during this time of giving and if god amen is a god of his word i shouldn't say if because he is i mean believes god how many knows that god is a god of his word we don't believe it or if it or if it's if he is but we know he's a god of his word he said that when we give he will cause men to give unto us press down shaken together good measure and running over that's the kind of blessing that god wants to send the church tonight is a running over blessing until you can't even contain it so let's ask god to bless our offering father we bring our tithe and offering into the storehouse as your word commands as your precious people tonight give lord according to your word i pray god that that word begin to work in their lives father in a prosperous way we thank you for all your blessings in jesus having a good time everybody deserves a few days off from the normal routine don't they and brother jeremiah has a meeting in ohio friday night so he's getting back to cincinnati airport friday morning just in time to get on the van he's not even going to get to come home get on the van go to hamilton ohio for a service friday night but i told sister rodney tonight and uh i really appreciate our staff here uh everybody that works i told sister ronnie i said i'm gonna miss brother jeremiah but we have the structure set up so that we just don't miss a beat hallelujah brother daniel sister taylor and brother zach just kept right on playing music worshiping the lord and uh everybody is here tonight working in any capacity whatever job the lord has given you to do i want you to know that i appreciate it so much but it's not my appreciation that's that important i know you you want the pastor to appreciate you and i do but it's the lord the lord appreciates that tonight don't he he appreciates your commitment your consistency and your faithfulness that's what god appreciates tonight and i appreciate this young man it's going gonna come proof's brother joe he grew up at our church he graduated from our christian school and i can remember as a little boy you couldn't get two words out of him whoever thought god would call him to preach hallelujah amen but god has called him and he was going to preach for us tonight come on brother joe let's give him a hand tonight [Applause] amen it's good to see you tonight in the house of the lord amen how many is glad to be in the house with the lord amen i'm going to be reading tonight from the book of revelation if you want to stand to your feet we'll go to the book of revelation chapter 12 and i'll read verse four [Music] and the bible says in his tale drew the third part of the stars of heaven and did cast them to the earth and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered for to devour her child as soon as it was born let us pray heavenly father lord we thank you tonight for your goodness we thank you for your mercy lord we thank you for your blessings lord i pray lord that you would let your word go forth touching the hearts and lives of your people lord let it encourage and lift up in the mighty name of jesus and the church says amen you may be seated i'm going to read on just a little bit tonight i didn't want you to have to stand with all this reading so starting at verse 5 and the bible says and she brought forth a man-child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron and her child was called up unto unto god and to his throne and the woman fled into the wilderness where she had the place prepared of god that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three score days and there was war in heaven michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon fought in his angels and prevailed not neither was their place found any more in heaven and the great dragon was cast out that old serpent called the devil and satan which deceiveth the whole world he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him and i heard a loud voice saying in heaven now has come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our god and the power of christ for the accuser of our brethren is cast down which accuseth them before our god day and night the word of their testimony and they love not their lives unto the death therefore rejoice ye heavens that ye that dwell in them and woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea for the devil has come down unto you having great wrath because he knoweth he hath but a short time and when the dragon saw that he was cast into the earth he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man's child and to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle that she might fly into the wilderness into her place where she is nourished for a time and times and a half time from that face of the serpent and the servant cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood and the earth helped the woman and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth and the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnants of her seed which keep the commandments of god and have the testimony of jesus christ now i know what was a lot there that i just read but we're going to dig into that just a little bit tonight amen as before we get into that i'm going to read ecclesiastes 1 chapter 1 9-10 and the bible says this the thing that hath been is that which shall be and that which is done is that which shall be done and there is no new thing under the sun is there anything whereof it may be said see this is new it has been already of old time which was before us solomon is saying here that uh something very profound when i hear preachers and teachers teaching the new thing i i think of this verse you know god gives us revelation and he reveals things to us but to say uh you know there's a a new teaching uh a new foundation you know that's that's not what i get from the bible amen pastor um you know god does reveal things certain verses in certain scripture to us amen but uh right is right and wrong is wrong and light is light and dark is dark amen i believe that tonight but solomon is saying something very profound and what he is saying is uh you know we can look to the past to see what the future beholds and we can look to the future here in the word of god and it will reveal the past to us amen we can read this book and future events here in the book of revelation that's not happened yet and we can see the past and we can see how god works and that how god amen does things and in other words tonight if i could simplify that down just a little bit it's history repeats itself amen history repeats itself and here's some examples tonight that you may have not ever caught in the word of god as we get into this message on how history repeats itself and how i'm going to try to tie this tonight to this chapter in the book of revelation so in the beginning of christ's ministry there was a disciple named simon right christ's mother was named mary mary's husband was named joseph and the king was named herod right 42 months later at the conclusion of christ's ministry a man named simon carried the cross mary magdalene followed jesus a rich man named joseph provided the tomb for his burial and the ruler was another king by the name of herod so at the beginning of christ's ministry satan came to him saying if thou be the son of god command that these stones be made bread and at the end of his ministry the crowd standing at the foot of the cross said this if thou be the son of god come down from the cross so we see here some examples uh and they might just be tiny tiny examples and you might not think a whole lot of that but we see here examples of how the path reveals the future event and how the future reveals the past and with that in mind let's get into this text tonight so here in the book of revelation we have a lot of symbols and a lot of strange images and let's not get let that get in our way tonight okay the lord wants to show us tonight something so let's not let these symbols and images uh get in our way and we're going to dig into this just a little bit and let's let the lord speak to us tonight okay all right so first we find the great red dragon now that's not very hard to explain to anybody we all know who the great red dragon is the great red dragon in his tale the bible said drew a third part of the stars of heaven and of course that's symbolic of the third of god's angels that rebelled with satan and it's showing how many will be with him in the future war in heaven under the seventh trumpet isaiah 14 12 says this how art thou fallen from heaven o lucifer son of the morning how art thou cut down to the ground which this weakened all the nations luke 10 and 18 says and he said unto them i beheld satan as lightning fall from heaven so we know that christ pre-existed with the father in ages past pastor and was present in heaven when satan was cast out long before the creation of adam now i don't know have you done any of the teachings here at this church uh the pre-adama have you a few years back i don't know if you've said under those teachings or not but i think you've done it two or three times since i've attended this church and of course in the back of dake's bible it has the whole teaching there and perry stone does a nice little teaching on it so not to get into that tonight but the bible gives clues and hints and indications that there was a world that existed before adam amen a world that existed before adam and that is that's a whole nother teaching but the bible says in first peter 5 and 8 to be sober be vigilant because your adversary amen my adversary pastor's adversary daniel your adversary tyler eric matt your adversary the devil amen he is all of our adversary tonight he's not your friend amen he's not going to make you cool he's not going to make you popular amen he is your adversary tonight he might show you a good time he might show you a light amen and say look at this amen but he is your adversary tonight your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour and i want you to understand something tonight and i want to make this clear the enemy tonight is real there is a real adversary the the bible specifically and clearly amen tells us that there is an adversary amen and somewhere in the eons of past the ages past amen he failed amen and we could read the bible we can find that and we can find amen that there is an enemy tonight amen that's against you and against me amen he does not want to see you blessed he does not want to see you with joy in your life he does not want to see you happy and healthy and whole amen but he has come to steal kill and destroy there is an enemy tonight amen and he is real the church is preaching amen that satan is not real there's churches preaching amen that that's just a thing in the bible that you need to overlook but he's real tonight not only is he real but he's putting in overtime tonight so we find in the ages past that he was cast out of heaven and phineas date says this that he was removed by force and i really like that because if he was removed from heaven by force that means that there was a greater power that removed him amen how many believes that there's a greater power amen but he still has access to the throne room of god god has allowed this and this is what he is doing he and his angels that are now demons are attempting to slander and discredit believers by making accusations against us to god revelation 12 10 says this and i heard a loud voice saying in heaven now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our god and the power of his christ for the accuser of our brethren is cast down which accuseth them before our god day and night so here in our text we find something that's getting ready to change satan's going before god and he's saying well you know i seen daniel do this daniel says that he's this and he's that but i've seen him do this i seen joel doing this he said that he's a preacher amen he says he tells people that that he's saved but i've seen him do this amen he's going before god amen and bringing up your weaknesses and your human frailties and the things that so easily beset you out and he's trying to accuse you to god i don't know there may be somebody that's perfect in here i'm not amen and satan is before god and he is constantly telling god amen this is what they're doing and that's what they're doing but that's getting ready to change here amen in chapter 12. here in revelation the bible says satan stood before the woman which was ready to deliver for to devour her child as soon as it was born that's a strange text tonight don't you think that's referring to the manshaw the man child is the 144 thousand jews who god seals we've all heard of the hundred and forty four thousand thousand jews right the 144 thousand witnesses remember all this is happening this story is happening after the rapture he tries to destroy these 144 000 jews but he can't you know why because god put a seal on him god put his seal on them and when that attack fails he sets out to persecute the woman 12-13 it says and when the dragon saw that he was cast into the earth he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child the woman is simply israel revelation 12 6 says and when the woman fled into the wilderness she had the place prepared of god that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three score days so satan here in this first tries to persecute the woman or persecute israel to the point that the woman or israel has to flee into the wilderness and then the bible says there was a war in heaven and michael and his angels now how would you like to have to go up against michael and his angels that's not a war that i want to be in amen i want to be on the side of michael and his angels if i'm in that war i don't want to be on the opposite side of that but the bible says michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon fought and his angels and prevailed not the enemy the devil's not learned his lesson he's fighting all the way to the end he's fighting tooth and nail he still thinks that he's going to win he still thinks there's an avenue of victory amen but the bible says and prevailed not he and his angels prevailed not neither was their place found in any more in heaven and in that the great dragon was cast out that old serpent called the devil and satan which deceiveth the whole world amen he just don't deceive the the the lost he deceives amen the saved you got to be careful what you're listening to tonight you got to be careful who you're listening to amen he deceiveth the whole world he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him they no longer after this first have access amen to the throne room of god he's been cast out then we see here in verse 12 the bible says this therefore rejoice ye heavens and ye that dwell in them woe into the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea for the devil has come down to you having great wrath my goodness can you imagine the wrath that's coming when he's kicked out of heaven look around this world tonight it might be man-made problems it might be who knows what kind of stuff is going on out there in this world tonight all kinds of wild and crazy problems amen it is simply the wrath of satan on this earth amen god wants to bless he wants to see you happy he wants to give you joy and peace and the devil's come to steal and kill and destroy look around that's what he's doing the wrath of satan has been loosed on this earth but when we read the book of revelation amen he's coming the bible says with great wrath because he knoweth he hath but a short time amen he knows he's got just a little bit more time he thought he was going to go to heaven he thought he was going to fight michael and the angels up he thought he was going to come out victorious amen hall but michael and the angel sent him packing out they're going to send him packet amen and he's going to find out real quick what his future holds so we'll come back to this first in a minute and the bible says and when the dragon saw that he was cast into the earth he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child and to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle that she might fly into the wilderness into her place when she nourished she is nourished for a time times and a half time and the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood so basically what we're reading here is satan is attacking all right i know we got some strange symbols and images here but what we can take from this is satan is attacking he's doing what he always does and how does that affect us tonight what does that story have to do with us tonight because we won't be here when this happens amen we'll be going but this prophecy shows an assault on the remnant this prophecy shows an assault on god's people amen first satan tries to destroy the seed then he tries to persecute the woman and then when that fails he tries to send a flood to drown the woman but guess what none of it works god wouldn't have none of it these three assaults reveal the same pattern the enemy uses against us he tries to destroy us he tries to persecute us even more in the day and hour we live in now amen 20 years ago there wasn't a lot of persecution but now i mean you tell somebody you're a christian they're all over you especially if you have facebook and then he tried to send a flood of trouble against god's people but the bible tells us that history repeats itself and we can look to the beginning to see the end and the end to see the beginning and what we find in all of that what we find is the devil was a loser amen the devil is a loser from the front of this book to the back of this book tonight amen you can read all the stories about all the kings and all the prophets and all the prophecies and all the things amen that the bible has for us tonight and you can look through all that and you can find one thing for sure amen the devil is a loser tonight tell you man god is in control and the devil is a loser amen so satan's been kicked out of heaven he's mad and he knows he's got a short time no doubt he'll be using every trick he knows and i'd say he's picked up some tricks over the years he's using every trick he knows he's going to unleash every demon he has he's going to push like never before every evil every vial thing will be loosed on this earth but guess what as hard as he pushes as mad as he is as much as he lets go on this earth he still loses and god still wins no matter if you read the back of the book or the beginning of the book satan still loses and god abram he still wins now sure satan gets some victories here and there we know we don't always win in life life isn't perfect i wish life was perfect life isn't perfect we have things come against us if we look at the woman here in the text the bible says that the woman or israel had to flee to the wilderness but in the end god still won i want you to know tonight that no matter what your age is where you're at in life life isn't perfect you know we look at people and we think man i wish i could be like them their life's perfect my life's not perfect i'm sure pastor tell you his life's not perfect daniel's your life perfect tyler you you've got your life has to be perfect no no i figured tyler was pretty close no life isn't perfect it doesn't matter if you're a singer it doesn't matter if you're a preacher it doesn't matter you're an usher it doesn't matter if you just come to church on sunday mornings and sunday nights and all you do is clap your hands we're all the same tonight none of us are perfect life is not perfect struggles and trials they do come our way but we've got to understand something very simple very simple message that we have a hard time as christians understanding god's in control amen i said god is in control and as we look back over this text tonight and the strange things that lay ahead for this world i'm glad i'm getting raptured out because if you go ahead and read through the rest of this book there's some strange things going on there's going to be some people scratching their head trying to figure out what's going on you would think they would be able to figure it out after they see all this but there's some strange things that lay ahead for this world and as we see these strange symbols and images there's a reason i picked this scripture tonight i wanted to show you something very specific back to ecclesiastes 1 9-10 the thing that hath been it is that which shall be and that which is done is that which shall run and there is no new thing under the sun satan amen no matter how bad it looks tonight he still loses amen there's no new thing under the sun no matter how he's attacked you no matter how many times that he's attacked you amen there's no new thing under the sun no matter what the enemy has said there's no new thing under the sun god is still in control the enemy may tell you amen that there's a problem in your life that cannot be fixed up but i want to tell you tonight that god is still in control the enemy may tell you tonight that there's a situation in your life that there is no way out of but i want to tell you tonight that there is no new thing under the sun and that god is still able if you will trust in him amen he can fix that problem the enemy will tell you that there is no way
