hallelujah so good to see you in the house the lord on thursday night of our camping we appreciate each and every one of you being here so honored to have brother tommy bates with us for about the 35th year in a row and uh right now i have everybody's attention i wanted you to get out your little handy-dandy phone and write down this date next year we're moving our camp meeting like it was 20 years ago back to october it's going to be october 10th through the 14th so everybody mark that down brother josh bulman will be here on the 10th kenny morris the 11th and 12th tommy bates 13th and 14th so everybody make plans to come back next year and y'all just stand staring because everybody has facebook now and it's where you get all your information from so 20 years ago people got little things out of their purse and started writing it down but anyway that's when it's gonna be next year but we've had a wonderful camp meeting this week my baby over here jada she's nine years old got filled with the holy ghost thursday night jada jada tuesday night waving everybody jada so they can see how pretty you are she was sitting there down there with a little hands held up tears falling down her face and man i sing right when it happened i thought my goodness this is one of the best moments of my life watching my baby get filled with the holy ghost hallelujah so we're glad you're here and before mom forgets she's got you a mess of shuck beans in her purse she carried them to church they're right there in her purse and she'll forget so i'm reminded so when everybody stand greet somebody just wave and smile at them you don't shake their hand this way that's not if you're watching by the way of the internet just have church with us tonight [Music] come on put your hands together i'm just glad you're saved by grace tonight i washed my you see i was alone in the darkness i could not find my way then jesus shined the light on me and then he turned on my light today is want to sing a song in church tomorrow night and i've i'm seeing so many reflections of myself the last few years my son judah over here in the blue suit he's playing drums and working for the lord he's 13. a little girl getting the holy ghost and now jared's singing she's five and i remember i sang my first song in church when i was five so when i was five brother tommy i guess you're still in your 20s because you're about 20 years older than me anything i'm 43 i think you're 63 five four five you're that old 65 you can be on medicare now hallelujah so i remember when i was five years old and started singing we started going around camp meetings and things so brother tommy was still in his 20s maybe 30. he would get me up when i was this agent stand me up in folding chairs so people could see me over there i mean down at barberville they had a big rail there with greenery and he would stand me up in folding chairs and i would sing to all those people there when i was five years to be in the house of the lord i heard people say we'd never be able to do this again there's people here from somebody flew in last night they put on our our the internet that they flew me and landed in lexington where'd they come from who was it somebody flew in where'd y'all come from florida we've got two or three groups here from florida we've got two or three groups that grow from oklahoma we got michigan missouri ohio indiana alabama georgia who'd i miss [Music] virginia i didn't see you brother good to see you now that's a long haul out where you are at i've been there several times it's about 10 hours y'all they're up near dc in virginia so who else that's like i said missouri maryland well praise the lord good to have you did y'all drive or fly you drove you're tired ain't you to see you sister theresa headed out at nine o'clock this morning got to cincinnati her transmission went out so they turned back around went to date and got him another vehicle and made it here we got his name up real big out there so you can read it i told i told the sign person i said them letters just too little i can't read them anymore so i come up this week man i'm telling you can anybody read the sign when they came in they're big i like those big big letters like this hallelujah we're so glad you know we used to call these meetings homecomings and i think that's what what this one is is a homecoming because we see so many friends and folks that we've known over the years and uh that have come to be with us this year brother sister smith from oklahoma that were our youth pastors for six or seven years and brother smith was our one of our elders at church and they come back to be with us they've been gone for 15 years hallelujah amen brother sister lolwell who were our pastors in the early 1980s and uh brother danny he's not been going that long but him sister laura came back to be with us this week helping us out with the music and the pictures and everything and i tell you we just got folks from all over this heaviness i tell you god's people need to help each other praise the lord we are not an island we're just not somebody out here by ourselves we we need we need how many knows we need each other hallelujah and every member is a team but there can't be i will not yield somebody said i will not yield hallelujah so you got to make your mind up if you're going to serve the lord if you're going to be a pentecostal christian you've got to really make your mind up because everybody's picking on us hallelujah that's right everybody is that's right the government picks on us the world kicks on us the church picks on us our families pick on us they don't like what we do anymore i don't know why i like this i love this hallelujah amen i love this this is this is my life this is my life somebody asked me back when was going through the the worst stages of colin was trying to have church why we were so dogmatic we wanted to come and have church let's just do it online i said because this is who we are amen obviously i just have somebody that comes to church or pastor of church this is this is who i am this is in my blood in my dna hallelujah amen and i wouldn't have it any other way so i thank god for everybody together with us tonight and i know god's gonna bless when brother tommy comes and he's to bring a word of god to those that's hitting this building and watching by the way the live stream but i want brother terry would you just come up and greet the congregation tonight brother terry and sister claudia they've done our sunday homecoming service for the last 34 years hallelujah they pastored us for a couple of years i told you they've about done them in but they survived hallelujah so it's up for the lord military i love the lord and it's so good to be in the house of the lord i look over this congregation and i think wow everybody ain't quit going to church everybody ain't give up on the lord god's going to have a people god is going to have a people he's going to have the people that will worship him praise him and give him the honor and the glory that he's worthy of if the if you don't do it the rocks will and i don't want rocks crying out and giving him the praise for what he's done for me there's nobody can talk about what he's done for me but me you can't tell my story i can't tell yours but i want to tell you something god has been so good to me i love the lord with all of my heart i don't want to get too wound up [Music] you need to come back sunday morning sound like brother terry's wound up hallelujah he's been here all week and this first time he's had got to say anything except for praising the lord so he's he's got it all modeled up there so are you ready let folks that's the scars in the hands of jesus praise the lord well i'm glad that we've got some old-time preachers brother tommy don't look all that old but he's an old-time preacher amen we had brother kenny morris this week he's a old-time preacher and i'm i'm not taking away anything from the young guys we've got some good young free we got some young preachers here i'm telling us on fire for the lord they preached sunday night for the title of the daniel they preached about amen i will amen before before i yield i will die you know i will not you and they'll give us a theme for a camp meeting but listen i i i remember when i was a little boy i didn't know anything about church my family didn't go to church i had a good old grandma she was born in 1888 she raised me she gave me a lot of whoopings with switches and stuff like that you know and she didn't she had no vices of any kind she never never heard her say a bad word in her life but she just didn't go to church but one one summer night and several times this happened but one summer night was sitting on the porch on a saturday night we sit until the house cool down because it was hot inside and we didn't have a fan it was never a fan in our house that i could ever remember electric fan and we never heard that word air conditioner we sat on the front porch it got got dark we sent it there and we could hear the night sounds i begin to hear this sound off in the distance i said mom i was about six or seven years old i said ma what is that what is that noise what is that sound she said son let some homeless people have a church down the road oh glory about a mile down the road with some old-time saints of god having church and nobody they had no microphones they had the windows up hallelujah and i never give that much thought to about a couple of years later my cousin went to bible school with me at the baptist church i went to baptist church with my neighbor over there because they had kool-aid cookies to the bible school and on the way home my aunt who went to that homeless church said we're going to stop here on the way home i thought he's going to take me back home from the baby so i had never been in that place before and they took me in there and that little building was crowded about like it is here tonight just shoulder to shoulder and it was so loud i had never heard anything so loud in my life there was folks in this corner men over here and those ladies over here and there was a lady up in the corner and she was a you know a good-sized lady and i all i i remember i mean from from six seven or eight years old i remember her hands they looked so big because it was so loud she was she was clapping her hands and she had her eyes closed and she was seeing it at the top of her voice and it just rattled the rattle the building made me and everybody was saying it scared me to death my aunt tucked me and sent me about the third seat back it's all crowded up and all of a sudden i bolted out of that seat and run down that aisle toward the back door as hard as i could go it scared me to death i didn't know where i was going i didn't know where i was at i didn't know i'm just a mile down the road from my grandma's house but anyway there's somebody reached out a big old teenage woman says hey boy where you're going ain't nobody gonna hurt you i was crying i was scared he touched me set me there he said you said here with me ain't nobody gonna bother you hallelujah i made my way to that same little church when i was about 16 years old that's where i found my love of my life hallelujah praise god but i'm here to tell you we're glad to have brother tommy bates he knows about that old time way i'm glad that he's in the house with us tonight happy is glad to see you brother tommy face come on brother hallelujah thank you [Music] praise jesus lamb of god thank you jesus bless you brother praise god [Music] it's good to be here good to have my son eric and his wife aaron i want them to stand eric don't get to go too often they are responsible for five of my 13 grandchildren and it's so good to see the people from dorothy kentucky i held my first meeting when i was 19 there sister martha phelps was still alive and their mother marge even played the piano and it's just good to see all of all of those that are with us and the wonderful memories we have there and uh good to see brother terry and claudia and i remember i was 18 19 years old and i was crossing the suspension bridge from kentucky going to indiana i mean going to cincinnati on galbraith road and the spirit you know when i got on fire 1972 16 years old the gifts of the spirit would work through me and things i had no other desires there was none i can't explain it i was so hungry for this way everything lost all connections i lost on contact with everything and uh people told me i was wasting my time you're too talented to be waste wait till you're older you're wasting your time among the holiness people the pentecostal people but i was crossing the suspension bridge the power moved on me and i began to speak in unknown tongues very strange tongues it's different than when you're praying in the spirit and the spirit spoke through my voice to myself and he said even this night i'm gonna give you power to cast the devil out this night you will have the anointing to cast the devil out and i thought oh boy you know i didn't want to have that experience i didn't want to have it but right there at brother hale's church at the old i guess it's called calvary then one in calvary tabernacle on galbraith road the spirit moved and a woman come up to be prayed for and it looked like that she fell back in the spirit people was happy because she's laying in the floor you know looked like she's getting a good blessing and i walked by and when i did buddy those eyes got that big and she darted right at me and laughed with that growly voice you're afraid of me she was right i went back to the back i went back you know they used to have water fountains back in the back and the whole pentecostal churches because they didn't handle bottles of water floating around and i went back there to get me a drink and i remember reaching over like that getting a drink and said god i'm going home i said this is there's too many other people here this isn't for me this is for somebody else because after that happened she closed her eyes and like went back into a trance again she wouldn't respond to anybody at that moment and then all at once the lord spoke to me and said i've given you power and i walked back up and when i did that voice went you're afraid of me and i said and you're wrong devil and you're coming out tonight because god already spoke to me and said you're coming and i out god for those experiences i praise god for them and we're so thankful to see you that have been in the good way for all these times we went back to calling our anniversary services we don't call them anniversary more we call them homecoming because that's what we want to happen we want the people's families to come back home we want the lost to come back home we want we want families to be reunited we want that kind of atmosphere to return once again to the people of god and this year when brother if you don't if you didn't get to watch any of our homecoming there's several different ways that you can do this and i don't know how all those several different ways are because i don't really have the technical uh application you know programmed in me but i know one thing if you get the tommy bates ministry app it's free and my daughter put it on my phone so if you don't know how to put it on your phone ask your daughter or your granddaughter or your grandson or your great grandson or whoever you have to ask and when you put the app on there it'll come up and it'll say it'll have like video services that means that's all of our weekend services then it'll have revival services and it'll have bridging the gap so you can watch what's on daystar you can watch the revival services you can go back and you know the good i don't know if it's really good or not but this is a convenient thing is you just take your finger and slide off what you don't want and slide off what you did and put on what you do want you know if you want to hear marvin winans preach just skip all the rest of it go straight to his preaching and did he ever preach the word of god perry stone did an outstanding job and the anointing fell on several of the songs that we were singing and the atmosphere of praise that old house that's 68 years old that's never had a split and you could hear that roar of that deep water that deep water flowing and it's just these are something that uh this isn't going to get me any money brothers and sisters i don't get one dime by you going and watching watching something on our on our on the tbm the tommy bates ministries app it's not gonna that's not why i'm doing this i'm doing this because we need to have the word in us and this is one way you can go back and get every archive service you can see me at easter time when i let my hair grow out a little bit and i i didn't know how how how bad it looked it didn't look back all the older women loved it i would walk in and these elderly women would come go and go oh your hair is so becoming it's so beautiful and it made me look like i was on medicare and i am praise the lord let's give god a great i'll tell you what i want to wait waiting for we want to give god [Applause] he's already paid the price hallelujah well let's turn to daniel chapter five we're going to read verses five and six oh jeremiah you know i'm like my joshua sometimes you know joshua when he was a little boy he'd be so upset and angry and i just started singing a song and as mad as he was he'd go and he go to [Music] he just starts singing we'd laugh i said that's one way to calm him down jeremiah loved it when your little girl got up here and sang the first time i got anointed the same i don't know how old i was when i first started singing because i used complete sentences before i was a year old and my mom my sister vicki and i are the same age for one day she's born march the 9th and i'm born march the 10th i was born first then the next year so one day we're the same age and mom said she wasn't going to have two babies in diapers and two of them on a bottle and she said anybody can talk like that don't need a bottle or a diaper so i came into this life with a lot of abuse but i spoke in complete sentences before i was a year old and i was singing i was singing harmony by the time i was three mom would we go to my great grandmother's church and they would stand me on the piano bench of mind the player guitar one of the first songs that we sang together was i'm depending on you jesus i'm depending lord on you and i would sing the high tenor part but i believe i was about five years old this time it was different i started singing the man of galilee walked through the knee was there he suffered shame and agony as i started singing that the anointing came on me my voice got loud my heart was pounding and the tears running down my face and i was singing that song it was for you yes it was for you [Music] the tears running down my face when church was over one of the women came up to me and i know exactly who she is good woman holiness woman she said little tommy i didn't think i'd ever see you get nervous and cry while you were singing i turned around looked at her and i said i called her by her first name because this you know small country church that's what you did he was a kid that's what they called him that their name was lois she called him lois her name was darlene you said darlene or maude you said maude i called her name out and i said i wasn't a bit nervous i said the anointing came on me tonight can you believe that i didn't know what it was but i knew when it came and i knew the difference that it made let's all stand together i'm looking for a watch a clock or something i can't find it i know but i'm used to having 123 blood relatives in the church it's one thing about your family they won't let you get by with anything praise god for them amen daniel chapter 5 verses 5 and 6. in the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king's palace and the king saw part of the hand that wrote then the king's countenance was changed and his thoughts troubled him so that his joints of his hips were loosed and his knees begin to smite one against another the man was scared just for a few moments tonight we're dealing with the subject the handwriting on the wall let's pray father we come to you in the name of jesus lord it is my desire god to present your word in such a way that it'll be seed to the sower that it will be bread to the eater let me preach god with love with mercy and compassion and most of all god let me be obedient to your scripture and preach lord not with enticing words of men's wisdom but of demonstration and power of the holy ghost we'll give you all of the praise and the glory in jesus name and the church says amen you may be seated just for a few moments tonight we're dealing with the subject the handwriting on the wall our text is found in daniel chapter 5 verses 5 and 6. see god had called his people out of egypt there were seventy souls that was jacob and his family went down to the land of egypt because there was starving in the land of canaan and god had a plan it was the fulfillment of a prophecy that god had given to abraham that your family will go into a foreign country and they will live there over 400 years after 430 years had passed by they came out of the land of egypt victoriously through the blood by the blood of the lamb on the doorpost and on the lintel of the door and uh god blessed them moses went up on mount sinai and god gave moses the plans to the tabernacle and also gave him the commandments of the lord now the people of god were to be a separate people a consecrated people a dedicated people they were to be a people that uh where the bible said i want you to be a nation of priests i want you to be able to show people who god is i want you to be able to tell people about the god jehovah the i am that i am but they were tempted they kept on falling into divers lust and temptations even after the 40 years they crossed into the land of canaan and god had blessed them and in the land of canaan there the lord blessed them david became their king they conquered all of their enemies david's son had taken jerusalem which david had conquered from the jebusites and now this nation of several million people they had a huge beautiful temple that was overlaid with gold they had orchestrated choirs that some 24 hours a day seemed like the blessings of god were just overflowing with the nation of israel the glory was everywhere but they kept on being drawn to these other gods the gods of ashtaroth and moloch the gods of uh of baal all of these different kimash the different gods of their surrounding neighbors and it wasn't that these gods that some they just want to better look an idol it really wasn't the idol at all it was the lust of the flesh that accompanied these idols for kimash would have these horrible horrible drunken parties with sexual immorality and impurity they would offer babies upon sacrifice it was so vile and so evil the practice of temple prostitution there was no rules nakedness lewdness drunkenness debauchery was beyond the human imagination incest bestiality every filthy imaginable sin you could even conceive in your mind was celebrated at the feast of moloch the feast of kimash the feast of baal the feast of ashtaroth god began to move and the first prophet that began to prophesy was a hundred years before that their correction came and that was isaiah isaiah began to prophesy and he spoke to him how that they didn't come alone if they didn't repent that god was going to cause them to go into captivity and they would stay in this captivity for a period of 70 years they would not listen to isaiah jeremiah came and he began to prophesy and his words were that now you're going to be taken into captivity you're going to babylon god don't want to kill you but he will correct you he's not going to let you continue in that now he had saved them by his blood he had brought them through by his power they had the word of god they had the power of god they had everything they needed but god is long-suffering it even says there's times that he winks at your ignorance when you're still so ignorant that you drink a little wine for the stomach's sake and you're still so ignorant that you might be watching something you shouldn't watch you might be going to cinnamons you're still so ignorant that you're watching hot you're wearing hollywood's clothes and you you've switched from modesty to immodest until what you're wearing looks like a pair of pantyhose that have been colored and you're wearing them without under clothes to make sure you look naked but you're proud of it i don't know why it seems like the larger people like to wear things like this i don't know but uh god sometimes will just look back at your ignorance because maybe he was raised in the church where the pastor was a coward and wouldn't mention about anything about what you watched and what you drank and what you were or maybe you was raised in a home where they were not faithful to god they just came maybe once a month or twice a year that maybe the family you was raised in you know claimed to follow god and they did in their way and god will put up with your foolishness for a while he don't mind to give a baby a bottle of milk but when you're six foot two sitting in a high chair and you still want some gerber baby food and you want to move your mustache so you can get the bottle in your mouth he's going to jerk you out of that high chair and say listen boy [Music] it's time that you grew up it's time that you changed so god began to speak to the children of israel and jeremiah prophesied and he said king listen to me it's too late now you're going to get your spanking you wouldn't listen to me you wouldn't destroy the gods of moloch and baal in your nation you wouldn't remove these things you continued with the child sacrifice letting them have it just turning your back away from it you wouldn't correct anybody so it's inevitable you are going to babylon and it's not the will of god that this beautiful temple that god gave the design to display the glory of god it's not god's will for this temple to be destroyed so if you will just take your punishment and go out quietly you're going to be able to take your sons and your children and your grandchildren and you're going to have to live in babylon yes because he's going to give you 70 years of correction you will have to live there but you'll be alive and god will even bless you there zedekiah said things because babylon in her luxury and in her pride and in all of her all of her images that she had she portrayed this idea that there's a blessing without being connected to jehovah god babylon had built a city where it had walls that were 300 feet wide they were 100 feet tall the euphrates river ran through the city of babylon it was as big around like lexington with route 4 going around it or cincinnati with 275 going around it those walls would have been like the dimensions of 275 they had enough food inside the city limits of babylon inside the walls that were 100 feet tall and 300 feet wide they had enough food for last night for 25 years they never had to go out of the city never had to go out but god said my people are only going to be there after 70 years and he said after 70 years babylon is coming down babylon is going to fall she has mocked me she has used her and flaunted her religious system as if anybody can be blessed without god and i'm gonna bring her down because i want her to know that she is not the one that holds life in her hands that i'm the one that holds that light and when you get to the 47th chapter of the book of isaiah he says calm down you queen of babylon he's not talking about an individual he's talking about a religious spirit that says i don't need god's way i can do it another way and he said you sit in your beautiful throne you've got a wardrobe this is all this is all poetic language you've got a wardrobe it's symbolism you've got anything you want but isaiah said the day is coming when i'm going to cast you out of your throne and you're going to sit in the dust i'm going to strip you of your garments you're going to look like a naked slave that's wallowing in the dust begging for somebody to give you mercy he said that is king of the medes and the persians he has re-channeled the euphrates river while they're having their drunken party while the horrible sensual immorality is going on while peacocks that were trained to carry food on the tables in this luxurious palace where all of the leadership was the euphrates river began to sink and as it was sinking nobody even knew what was happening how it was going down down down and they were in through history while this was going down bill chazzar in the middle of this party he looks and the words come on the wall many many tackle you farcing your days have been numbered you have been weighed in the balance and found wanting the bible said that he began to shake his body began to convulse he was totally out of control he runs back into his grandmother the queen grandmother's chamber nebuchadnezzar's wife and it says grandmother something horrible has happened there was a hand that come out of heaven it wrote on the wall and nobody knows what it means she said oh yes there is somebody that knows what it means there is a man in your kingdom that has an excellent spirit he is the one that knows he has contact with the god who created this world his name is daniel daniel came out the old white-haired man belshazzar said you've got to help me there's a warning there's a there's handwriting on the wall of my kingdom and i don't know what it means and daniel read it he said it means that you your days are numbered your kingdom is coming to an end that tonight is going to be the night that it's over with you you see i want you to know something tonight the the world system can build their walls a hundred feet high and 300 feet wide this world can look like they've got everything in control of they can make you out to be the silliest people world empire of gold he said that's you nebuchadnezzar you're the great king of gold then there's going to be a another kingdom of that's going to come after you and through history we know it's the medes and the persians the third kingdom was lit was mentioned before they were ever born the bible said the king of grecia so 300 years before alexander the great was even born up god said i'm going to raise up the greek kingdom i'm going to raise up an emperor that's coming out of greece and following the grecian empire was the next one called the roman empire and the roman empire when you get to the book of luke the bible said now in the days of caesar augustus there went out a decree to all of the world not some of the world but all of the world we're talking about world empires brothers and sisters that all of the world should be registered everyone had to go back to your birth city everyone had to be registered in the world it was a command from a one world government to a one world system that you will obey my voice we have seen those world empires come and we have seen those world empires go but there is a fifth world empire and the bible said it's part iron and it is part clay this iron and clay means it's going to be the strength of the roman empire but it's not going to stick together they're going to be a divisive spirit in it have we ever been so divisive i could start the biggest fight here tonight i could preach vaccine and the anti-vaccines would get your ammunition ready i i could preach a democrat and the republicans would get ready i could preach one thing and another group would fight over that group there has never been a day and hour this last kingdom is going to be a broken kingdom this last kingdom is going to be a divided kingdom and this woman that was cast out of babylon that lost her beautiful wardrobe that was laying in the dust she's going to get her garment on one last time and she's going to ride the beast of the antichrist but i want to warn all of us tonight and i want us all to be ready i want you to be ready in such an hour as you think not the son of man here's what we need to understand yes this is going to be a divided kingdom in the world but in the church there is no division in the church there is neither male nor female there is neither jew nor greek we're gonna be the only thing in the last days that's gonna stick together that's why we cannot fight over a vaccine we cannot fight over a political warfare we cannot fight over racial differences it may go against your culture it may go against the grain but there's one thing for sure that in the last days god said i'm gonna pour out my spirit upon all flesh your sons and your daughters are gonna prophesy your gold men in authority are gonna dream a dream and your young men are gonna burn with fire with the vision from heaven oh look up child of god i said look up child of god satan sees his last kingdom is a divided kingdom he sees this last kingdom is going to be very fragile because iron and clay do not cleave together iron and clay will not come together he knows that his kingdom is going to be a fragile kingdom oh but another thing he knows is the kingdom of god it's gonna be that stone that is hewn out of the mountain i said that stone that has been hewed out of the mountain and the bible said when that stone is released it's going to crush it's going to crush that last kingdom to pieces and the hallelujah and there of this kingdom there shall be no end if it happened with babylon it's going to happen just like god said it was going to happen if it happened with nebuchadnezzar if it happened with belshazzar if walls 100 feet high and 300 feet wide i could not stop the word of god do you think technology is gonna stop god do you think tv programming is gonna stop god do you think that corona virus is gonna stop god do you think that medical mandates are gonna stop god the most secure thing on this planet is not politics
