you're here on a monday night you came to have church we want you this is our 34th annual camp meeting at redemption road church we had our first one in october of 1988. so this is number 34. we appreciate you being here so glad to have my good friend brother josh bowman with me and his crew and family he's going to be preaching for us after a while we've got i was trying to figure it out today we've already got people here from many states we've got oklahoma alabama georgia north carolina florida ohio uh michigan i met two ladies in cattlemen's today from michigan i walked by and i had my ugly clothes you know my work clothes on no gel in my hair and heard one of them say that's jeremiah i thought oh oh now i have to go back and talk to them and them see me like this because they'll know i'm ignoring them so so now now i look like myself don't they man i mean i was really dressed and i had them jogger britches on and everything no gel in my hair i mean but anyway whoever you did i miss any states i know there's kentucky here too missouri virginia so that's about 10 i think well we're glad you're here why don't you stay down we want to welcome everybody watching by the way the internet come tomorrow night at seven o'clock and wednesday night brother kenny morris will be here thursday and friday night brother tommy bates will be here no church saturday then sunday redemption role camp meeting from oklahoma i was saddened this year i looked back i seen sister edna sitting by herself she lost her dear husband dakota a few months ago but i looked back there tonight and i said that woman's going on with jesus what'd you say you got to you keep going on sister god's gonna give you strength god's gonna give you power and anointing you keep going on with jesus i'm going on going on going home oh jesus with jesus so i know it's monday night but go ahead and praise it [Music] some people they laugh they talk about me when i shout but there's one thing for sure i know what i'm shouting about i've left my seat because i'm covered by the blood i'm filled [Music] i'm going to keep on climbing i'm gonna keep on walking i'm gonna keep on talking i'm telling sister kitty before church you know we lose loved ones in this life but this life is just a fleeting moment i heard somebody say one time if you take a little sparrow and have him pick up one grain of sand off of the beach on the west coast he flies all over the united states and drops out onto the beach of the pacific coast and comes back and get another gets another grain of sand takes it all the way over until he gets all the sand move from the atlantic coast to the pacific coast after that is completed that would only be one second in eternity this world is just a very very fleeting vapor it's a dressing room for our soul heaven is our reward that's what we got to look forward to today and when we get there when we stand before the king of kings and the lord of the lords the only thing that's going to matter is what we've done for him and how we've lived our life for him and how we've served him i love this old song i sing it pretty often it says things of earth no to worry about the immigration problem at the border we wouldn't have to worry about afghanistan we wouldn't have to worry about the white house if if they if they just could feel and experience what we have here tonight it'd fix all the problems wouldn't it amen i appreciate someone there's a lifeboat his name is jesus if everybody's just getting a lifeboat amen getting a lifeboat and i i believe this camp meeting is going to be very special and uh the brothers last night brother daniel brother tyler they tag teamed and preached a message about i will not yield before i yield i'll die i think that would be a good theme for the camp meeting do you all have a theme for the camp meeting so we'll just use that amen i will not yield somebody say that i will not yield hallelujah they talked about shadrach meshach and abednego when they was given the opportunity to bow before the image i will not yield they preached about daniel when he had an opportunity to quit praying or he'd get thrown into lies and he said i will not yield he may not said those words but that's what it meant hallelujah we've come to a point in our lives that in this era amen we've come to a point in this time period that we have to take a stand like never before and we're going to make our mind up which side that we're on hallelujah that's right that's what joshua said he said you can serve the god on the other side of the floods you can serve everybody on the other side amen you do whatever you want to do but he says for me in my house come on church it's for me and my house hallelujah we're going life one of my dearest friends i appreciate them tonight and uh i know i tell this on brother josh every year he told me about three years ago was talking about how we take care of our voices where we sing and preach and everything so much and he said you know i found this solution secure he said you have to go get it at a health food store what was it called get at the grocery store it was called um apple cider vinegar it was a certain brand and everything so you got to get this particular brand he said if you take you a big old swig of that right before you get up to sing it it'll make your voice last two more hours i thought that's wonderful so about camp meeting three years ago on monday night about two minutes before church started i ran back in the bathroom and had me a bottle that big i said now brother josh says this works i opened the lid and took me a big swig of it and thought i was going to die back there in that bathroom i spit it out i gargled water i tried my eyes was watering i thought how in the world does he drink this stuff so i just went back to my little throat drops whatever i was using so you can have that apple cider vinegar if you want to brother love you brother he's got your you got his mic amen somebody say praise the lord how many knows you just got to be built a little tougher that's all amen when you find what works you use it sometimes it may not be the best solution but you do what you got to do amen what an honor it is to be here at redemption road camp meeting i'll tell you what there's such an atmosphere of the presence of god in this house tonight and i'm just taking it in amen because you know we uh we're living in some very peculiar times perilous times i don't have to convince you of that i believe tonight we need the presence of the lord to meet us in this house i don't think we have to beg him i don't think we have to plead with him i mean i believe we just have to worship him and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth and if we'll do that how many knows he's in the house i said he's in the house hallelujah i said he's in the house he's in this room right now he's moving for us right now he's blessing you right now oh come on do you believe that i said the lord's moving for us right now i don't care what it looks like he's moving for my family right now he's moving for my children he's moving to my home he's moving somebody lift your hands at night the pebble horn hallelujah oh we love you tonight jesus hallelujah he's done me nothing but good i said he's done me nothing but good after these years i've served him he's done me but good how can you testify to that tonight oh hallelujah hallelujah see i gave my heart to jesus and i took him as my savior i cast my luck with the about polycarp a martyr for the gospel sake they built a fire around his feet and they tie up to a stake oh but the fire would not consume it so they pierced him with a sword they tell us the blood of jesus we thank you for your presence we thank you for your anointing lord it's in you that we live it's in you we move and we have our being oh there's something in our soul tonight that longs for a move of god that longs to touch you tonight jesus to be in the presence of an almighty god oh move upon the needs of your people tonight lord do what only you can do we need you to not lamb of god we need the touch of heaven on this place hallelujah we love you somebody just take 25 or 30 seconds and just pray all over this house there's breakthrough in the room amen there's healing in the room there's power in the room there's deliverance in the room whatever you have need of tonight is in the house i mean there's an anointing on this first night of camp meeting that if you'll get a hold of it you'll never be the same hallelujah there's a touch of god upon the sanctuary tonight i feel the push i mean it's a push from the portals of heaven upon the people of god tonight saying come forward push and pray and pray if you'll do it something will happen in your spirit something will change i said something will change and he's in this place right now reach for him reach for the here without me getting a hold of him hallelujah hallelujah come on some of us are so desperate we need god to move man we need god to help us some of you tonight are in this room and you're you're really up against some things but i feel like we're in a place that knows how to pray man we pray we pray because we know results come when we pray man we know something happens when the people of god begin to call upon the name of the lord there's something that happens something happens when we begin to pray and man there's something about prayer but how many knows there's something else about holy ghost praying man holy ghost praying is when the holy ghost prays through you amen he intercedes amen on our behalf anybody thankful tonight amen i feel that in this room the the power of intercession before i could before i can go on any farther i wish you'd lift your hands one more time and begin to call somebody's name out all over this house whoever it is you're praying for nobody said i prayed for them a million times pray right now because there's an anointing on this house amen there's an anointing there's the spirit of agreement is upon this sanctuary go ahead call out that lost son's name go ahead and call out that backslidden daughter's name and then go ahead and call out that spouse's name go ahead pray and pray pray unto the throne room of god amen take them before the lord take your petition take your need in this house and then you're not you're not just in a house of worship and then you're in the throne room of god you're in the presence of the glory of god you're in the place where the lord has established his kingdom and let us therefore come only under the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find praise to help in time of need all come on monday night so you know what that tells me tells me i'm not just scheduled to be here i'm on assignment and you're not just here you're not here just because it's camp meeting time you're here under the ordination of god you know what i've come to learn i've come to learn that our steps are ordered by the lord and there's some things i've tried to do that he wouldn't let me do and no matter how hard i tried to make it happen it just wouldn't happen how many knows when you're in the will of god it just seems to work amen walls start falling down doors come open amen everything that tries to stand in your way amen how many knows it cannot prevent you from being where god wants you to be i believe there's a special touch on this room tonight man somebody needs a miracle matthew chapter six while you're standing with me tonight get your bibles matthew chapter six and i'm going to read verse number six man i'm just going to preach to you from my heart remember my spirit and i promise you that's where it comes from because i don't even have a note there's nothing just me you and jesus amen matthew chapter number six verse number six jesus said but thou when thou prayest enter into thy closet and when thou hast shut thy door pray to thy father which is in secret and the father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly i'm going to read it again but thou he's talking to you he's talking to somebody in this room tonight he said when you pray enter into your closet when thou shut the door pray to the father which is in secret and the father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly can we see amen to the reading of the word of the lord tonight amen can you just stay with me amen stay with me amen matthew chapter six and six jesus said when thou prayest how many knows jesus didn't say if you pray he said when you pray when you pray enter into your closet and i mean knows a closet is a place where you steal away and you get away from everything amen sometimes we get in a coat closet we get in the clothes closet broom closet i mean how many knows i don't think jesus is specifically talking about that i mean how many knows a closet i don't care if it is your coat closet i prayed in mine amen how many knows it's a place where you get away from everything man when you pray enter into your closet he said and when thou hast shut thy door pray to thy father which is in secret because how many knows tonight there's some things that you can only tell to the lord and he's the only one who can understand amen there's some things that i can't confide in everybody there's some things you'll tell people they'll gossip about you and when they some things you'll tell some people and they won't understand they'll think you're crazy but how many knows god's a real good secret keeper come on he knows how to keep a secret you can tell him what you're going through you can tell him what you're feeling amen you can tell him the the emotions of your heart amen pray to the father which is in secret and thy father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly amen these people that we find in the word of god they're a people of prayer jesus taught his disciples to pray and when he taught them to pray they actually asked him they said lord teach us to pray and man prayer is something that when you hear real praying you know real praying when you hear somebody really in travail or somebody really in prayer and supplication with the lord how many knows you ain't got to guess what kind of world they're touching amen prayer in itself is touching worlds i can touch this world and i can pray and i can touch that world because jesus said i give unto you the keys to the kingdom that whatsoever you bind on the earth will be bound in heaven and whatsoever things you loose on the earth shall be loosed in heaven when i pray i can touch this world and i can touch another world amen they said teach us to pray and jesus did that jesus would take them upon a mountain and there they would pray he would take them into gardens and into isolated places away from the crowds and away from the noise and there jesus would pray and they would hear him pray and they would watch him pray even so much that even before as the bible says that he steadfastly turned his face to go towards jerusalem and man jesus finds himself in the garden of gethsemane and there he prays and he tells his disciples he said watch and pray with me for one hour and he would leave them and go away to pray and then he would pray and he would come back to them and they would be asleep and he'd wake him up out of their sleep and he'd say wake up and pray and watch with me for for an hour he said that you enter not into temptation and jesus would go back and he would pray again and when he would pray the bible says that his soul was sorrowful exceeding unto death and he was feeling the pain and the and the agony before he ever got to the cross and he gets down and he prays in that garden and the bible says that his sweat became his great drops of blood and he began to pray in agony if jesus taught them anything amen it was not just to pray when things are good but knowing how to pray when things are bad amen amen it's one thing for us to say oh i worship you and i love you lord when everything's going the way you want it to how many knows you got to learn how to pray when you're up against some stuff hey man you you got to learn how to pray when trouble hits your home and learn how to pray when sickness touches your family and learn how to pray when adversity is staring you in the face i mean they watched jesus pray and they jesus led by example he would get away from i believe it would be real good for ministry in itself to come back from understanding that when the lights are off and the stage is shut down and there's no hammond b3 organ playing behind you while you preach how many know somewhere when you go back home you got to know how to pray come on you got to know how to call upon the name of the lord and you got to know how to ring the prayer bells of heaven for yourself when you call the pastor at three o'clock in the morning and he's asleep like a normal human being how many knows you got to learn how to roll out of that bed and call on the name of the lord for yourself you've got to learn how to pray you've got to learn how to shake the foundation amen with prayer and supplication and jesus taught them to pray he taught them to pray under under intense at times he taught them how to pray under times of persecution when people were against them when people were talking about them insomuch that jesus gave this commission and he said to them he said terry in jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high amen he gives them warnings of things that would happen things that they would experience things that they would face as being a follower of the lord amen but praying amen he told them terry in jerusalem now i understand i just turned 35 about i guess maybe two weeks ago amen i i've been around the church long enough to know amen i remember the old saints when they talked about praying the word terry went with it anybody know what i'm talking about man when you pray you tear him i know what tarrying is i mean tearing means you're not in a hurry man sometimes how many knows we're getting a little bit too much of a hurry i mean we pray those shad right in the bed i go kind of prayers and man if it didn't work in five minutes we bail out on it and we go do something else amen but tearing jesus said tarry in jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high amen so by the time amen jesus we get to the book of acts the bible says that that 500 stood and they watched him as he ascended into the clouds of glory two men in white apparel stood by and they said why stand your gaze and into the heavens this same jesus you see go away in like manner he will come back hallelujah 500 witnessed him as he was received up into heaven in the clouds of glory but it's amazing to me that his 500 salt there's only 120 out of the 500 that really heard the word of the lord i mean it was because he did have an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying to the church amen 120 when you get to acts chapter 1 the bible says that when they were coming in that they went up into an upper room and then where about peter and james and john and andrew and philip thomas bartholomew matthew james he meant simon and judas the brother of jesus but listen to verse number 14 the bible says they all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication i mean those pentecost was born in a prayer meeting um pentecost didn't get kicked off at a camp meeting i mean those camp meeting is the product of prayer revival is the product of prayer amen but the upper room they didn't come out as much as i am as much as i love your choir amen a choir is produced out of a praying people amen how many knows everything we have is the product of prayer and they gathered in that upper room and that was their mission is they prayed and they carried it and they waited upon the word of the lord amen jesus said tarry until you be endured with power from on high and they prayed and they waited and they tear it and the bible says that when the day of pentecost was fully come that they were all with one accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a russian mighty wind and it filled the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them cloven tongues of fire and sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the holy ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave utterance and there's people that had gathered together to pray and tarry and wade upon the word of the lord something happened when they prayed the wind of god began to blow in that upper room when they began to pray clothing tongues of fire sat down upon each of the almonds and they were all filled with the holy ghost and then they came out of that upper room that was born in prayer amen they was born in a time that they had to know how to pray they had to know because when they came out of that upper room even though 3 000 souls were added to the church in one day how many knows when you start doing something for god it always makes devils act up amen the devil doesn't get mad at a whole lot of things but it gets irritated when people know how to pray amen they came out of there they were born in prayer and they came out of that upper room and almost immediately they were under a time of great persecution they were under a time of threatening they were under a time that they were told don't do this and don't say that and don't preach that don't act like that don't do this come on doesn't that kind of sound a little familiar of what we've had to deal with here lately and then threatenings what words that try to hey man shut you down try to sit you down try to you know cause you to hold back a little bit and think well maybe i shouldn't do that or maybe i shouldn't say it like this maybe i shouldn't preach it like that all no amen they came out of that upper room and they were a people of prayer and though they were in the midst of persecution by the time you get to the end of acts chapter 4 the bible says that they had gathered together and they began to pray and when they prayed the place where they prayed was shaken amen that was shaken and they were all filled with the holy ghost and the boldness of the holy ghost came upon the people of god and how many knows we'll shake the place when we figure out how to pray amen amen there's a pattern of these people go back and find them you'll find them praying you'll find them amen interceding you'll find them in supplication you'll find the old men in in a place in a mode of prayer that's why the bible says to pray without ceasing and we find this pattern throughout the book of acts this new testament church and by the time you get to acts chapter 12 here's what your bible says it says now about that time herod the king had stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church and he killed james the brother of john with the sword and because he saw that it pleased the jews he proceeded further to take peter also than were the days of unleavened bread and when he had apprehended him he put him in prison and delivered to him for quaternions of soldiers to keep him intending after easter to bring him forth to the people but listen what verse number 5 says peter therefore was kept in prison but prayer was made without seizing of the church unto god for him somebody say amen oh yes we get to a time that herod says we're going to kill them so that's what he does they apprehend james and the bible says they killed james with the sword herod's like any good politician amen when somebody when they start seeing what people like they say well if you love what we did to james you're gonna love what we're gonna do to peter and they arrested peter and they apprehended him and they put him in a prison and they leave him down there for a few days until they decide what they're going to do and man james has been killed by the sword herod stretches his hand forth and he's vex certainly the church he's applying pressure and he's trying to make james a poster child amen we're going to put james on display and we're going to let everybody that sees james amen know that if you pray and you call if you call on the name of jesus this is what's going to happen to you if you're out there preaching on the street you're out there hey man calls and crowds to show up and this jesus stuff we're gonna we're gonna let you know if if you see james though that it's coming to you too hey man there's such that herod's move that it meant by such an evil spirit that he says well let's just get peter too and they apprehend peter and they put him in a prison but the amazing thing is is that the bible says that they delivered four quaternions of soldiers to guard peter and to keep him in the prison and man how many knows it's amazing that no unlearned fisherman somebody who a man probably doesn't even have an education is such a threat to society amen that they deliver so many soldiers to guard him and to protect him and make sure he doesn't get how many knows the people of god had a reputation of breaking out of jail among the the real people of god had a reputation you can put and then because they have this testimony we can tell they've been with jesus and jesus is the one that said you can tear this temple down but in three days i'll raise it back up again hallelujah amen they take him off across put him in a tomb and the chief priests came to pilate and they said sirs we remember that deceiver said in three days he'd rise and pilate said go to the tomb make as sure as you can how many know you ain't got enough soldiers enough guards to put around that tomb on that third morning how many knows ain't nothing stopping jesus from raising from the dead hallelujah they ain't nothing stopping him from coming out there's nothing keeping him or holding him and then peter has a reputation of following that [Music] so they say put four quaternions of soldiers not only just chain one soldier to him chain two soldiers to him put one on both sides and make sure he doesn't get out put soldiers at the first ward and put soldiers at the second ward and make sure he doesn't get out amen how many knows while they're in there trying to figure out how to keep peter in jail they some folks gather together at a little house they've gathered together at a little house and they're in there praying and they're in there travailing and they're in there interceding amen i'm talking about a real prayer meeting amen i'm talking about real prayer anybody ever showed up late to a real good prayer meeting anybody ever walked in heard your grandma praying anybody ever showed up somebody was already touching heaven before you got there amen i could if you could get real close to that house and then they're in there praying i got a feeling they sound something like this they're saying oh god lord would you deliver peter from that prison god would you turn this thing around for our brother lord don't let him die down there in that prison if you shut the mouths of lines for daniel lord surely you can turn this thing around for peter oh god we need you to if you can part the red sea from moses lord surely you can turn this thing around for peter they're in there praying and they're interceding and they're and they're calling on the name of the lord but listen to me just for a minute we know something about this early church you don't have to question what they're going to do they're going to pray so i have to believe that if they're in there praying for peter i also have to believe that just a few days ago those people somewhere gathered together and they were praying like this oh god would you deliver james from that prison oh god would you turn this thing around for james lord would you make a way for james lord would you send an angel and get james out of that prison don't let james die by the hand of herod and they prayed and they travailed and they interceded and they brought james before the throne room of god amen i have to believe that if they prayed for peter how many knows you have to believe they prayed for james come on you have to believe it amen there's no reason to think that that they pray for one that they wouldn't pray for the other and they're praying and they're interceding and they're travailing but your bible says that herod stretched forth his hands to fix certain of the church and he killed james the brother of john with the sword hallelujah amen even though they prayed even though they asked even though they believed even though they fasted even though they called a prayer meeting even though amen they touched the throne room of god amen something happened even though they prayed james died by the sword amen but even though james died by the sword you still find this same people that have gathered together and now they're praying for peter amen they're praying for peter to get a miracle they're praying for peter to get a delivering hand of god to reach him and intervene in his life oh yes they're praying for peter in there despite that what they prayed for james didn't look like it worked and what they asked god a few days ago didn't come to pass amen they're in there praying for peter amen and while they're praying for peter the bible says that somewhere in the night a light shines into the prison and an angel comes down into the prison amen peter is asleep in the prison now i don't know about you but i don't know how you sleep when you're on death row i don't know how you get comfortable enough that when you're laying between two soldiers that you get comfortable enough that you can close your eyes and throw your head back and go to sleep but peter's in a prison it's dark he's chained to two soldiers and he falls asleep you know how peter falls asleep in prison hey man he's laying down there and like a good child of god he thinks on the word of the lord and there's a prophecy over the life of peter and jesus says to him after he's risen from the death they're they're sitting by the shore amen jesus asked him peter loveth thou made lovest thou me love us tell me more than these and they're sitting by fire jesus says to peter he said when you were young you girded yourself and you went where you wanted to go and you'd done what you wanted to do he said but there'll come a day when you are old he said that somebody else will gird you and they'll take you where you don't want to go peter's down there laying in that prison he's chained to two soldiers but i think he looks at himself and he says you know what i'm not a spring chicken anymore but i ain't an old man yet either [Applause] and something says i don't know what god's gonna do but i don't think this is the end i don't know what's going to happen amen but i don't think i've come to the end of the journey yet amen because there's prophecies over my life that haven't come to pass yet there's things that jesus spoke over my life amen that have not come into play amen and while he's sleeping in that prison there's people gathered at that house and they're praying and while they're praying god sends an angel and then the angel comes down into the prison and he has to smite peter on the side and he said arise and put your shoes on it and put your coat on it and follow me hallelujah hey man peter peter peter's asleep and he and he's kind of anybody ever woke up and you were you were so alarmed when you woke up you didn't know where you was and when peter wakes up there's an angel in the prison there's a light shining in the prison and the angel says put your shoes on put your coat on we're getting out of here and when peter stood up his chains fell off come on i will tell somebody tonight if you get up your chains will fall off if you'll get up come on i said if you'll get up your chains will fall off if what you thought was holding you down if you'd get up and lift your hands and hey man i said your things will fall your chains will follow if you worship the lord and i said somebody's chains that are gonna hit the ground tonight hallelujah go ahead and praise him for a minute go ahead and worship him you can get up amen he stood up and when he got up his chains hit the ground amen he reaches down slips his shoes on his feet throws his coat over his head and the angel says let's go and peter follows the angel out the first ward then he follows him out the second ward and then when they get past the second ward there's a big iron gate amen an iron gate that doesn't just open it doesn't just it you don't just push a button or push a code and the gate comes open it's high maintenance security and when peter and the angel get near the iron gate the iron gate of impossibility the iron gate of trouble the iron gate of discouragement the iron gate of empire oh yes and when we've all come up to the iron gate we've come up to some things we tried to pray through and it just didn't seem like we could get prayed through we've all come up against some adversity and we've come up against times amen where we felt like we was banging our head against the wall and nothing was happening and nothing was changing and nothing was transpiring amen but when when the angel and peter got near that iron gate the bible says that the gates swung open him hallelujah when they got near the gate the gate swung wide open and peter followed the angel past the iron gate amen when they got on the other side of the gate the bible says the angel disappeared and peter's standing on the outside and he tries to realize am i am i dreaming am i having a vision amen is this real i believe he's got to pinch himself to see if if what he's seeing is really happening remember when he gets on the other side of the gate and he realizes i'm no longer in prison and i'm no longer in chains and and i think i saw an angel man he gets out and he realizes he's not having a vision it's reality amen when he sees where he is the amazing thing to me is that when he gets on the other side of the gate amen the first thing he does is make his way down to that little house [Music] where people have gathered together to pray i mean how does he know how does he know where to go how does he know what to do how many knows this should never be a question when they come through our doors what they're gonna find when they get in here come on they should never question hallelujah come on they should never wonder if they call redemption rogue church that inside these walls is the people that know how to pray but people that know how to lay hands on the sick people that know how to intercede somebody who knows how to call the name of the lord it shall be without question and without reason what we're doing in the house you hear me come on we got a reason to question because hey some places you go in man whoa trying to figure out where am i what is this hey man peter gets out of jail and he makes his way down to a prayer meeting he goes to find the people of god he goes to look for that praying crowd he goes to look for that interceding crowd and they're all gathered in the house and they're praying i can see him going down the sidewalk and he opens the gate he goes down to the house and before he knocks on the door he gets ready to put his hand up to the door sister kitty and i think he hears something in the house hey man i think when he gets up to the door he hears somebody going oh god lord deliver peter from the prison oh ain't it good to hear somebody calling your name out in prayer god don't let peter die down there he can hear the sound that that harmonious sound of prayer amen then peter stands there for a second he hears him praying and then peter knocks on the door and man he goes to knocking on the door he says i got to get in there i got to get to where they're praying i got to get to where they're interceding he goes to knocking on the door and a real prayer meeting how many knows a real prayer meeting you can't tell everybody to go their seat and they'll go sit down come on a real prayer meeting hey man let me tell you something if it's real how many knows you don't just shut it on and shut it off you get to touch in another world how many knows you step over and you leave where you are hallelujah come on you don't just turn this thing on and turn it off and amen i'm telling you real prayer and then you go to touch in another world they're in there praying and peter goes to knocking on the door and when he knocks on the door a little girl by the name of rhoda hears the knock at the door and she excuses herself from the prayer meeting and she goes over to the door she hears somebody knock him how many know she don't know who's at the door come on it could be anybody you know who it could be it could be people that are there that if they caught them praying they'd take them out and then kill them i want how many of those people that have gathered together like you have on monday night tonight to worship the lord amen how many knows they had to do it with the door shut amen they had to do it hey man because if somebody catches them in their prayer and how many knows there's a good possibility they're going to die but she gets to the door and and little rhoda says who is it amen and there's a voice on the other side of the door that said it's peter they're in there praying for peter man peter's at the door and she leaves she doesn't even open the door she runs back in there to the prayer meeting and she says hey peter's at the door they stopped praying and here was their response they said what'd you say she said peter's at the door and this is what they said they said thou art man how many knows that's kentucky for girl you done lost your mind man come on that's that that that's hillbilly for saying saying you you're crazy come on she said no peter's at the door man they said hey hey man they said it can't be come on don't you find it interesting that people would be in there praying for something specific and then then somebody said god just answered your prayer and then they can't believe it come on we do it all the time amen we pray and we ask and we believe and we fast and we shout and we dance let me go through the motion amen then god does it and then we can't believe that he did it amen we can't believe that god would actually amen move upon our knees we've seen him move for others we've seen him move here we've seen him turn this thing around but we really struggle believing that god could do it for me amen they said aren't mad and she said he said he's at the door and this is what they said they said it must be his angel and you know what they were saying by that what they were saying was is well it may be peter but more than likely they've already killed him like they did james and it's probably his spirit and it's not really him come on listen to me you hear me tonight i'm not here to throw a stone to anybody man i'm not i'm not here to i'm not here to say well where's your faith and why don't come on i'll tell you why i'll tell you why the struggle's real it's because while they're in there praying for peter there's a voice that's speaking to him and says what are you praying for you prayed for james and james didn't live come on why are you praying for peter come on why are you at what what makes you think if god's gonna move for peter come on he didn't even move for james you begged and pleaded and went and fasted and stood in the gap for james and nothing happened amen you've been dedicated and you've served the lord and you've been faithful and you've and you've done everything amen everything that word of god's told you to do you've done it and you've served the lord all these years hey man what makes you think he's gonna answer your prayer for peter what makes you think he's gonna turn this thing around if he didn't even hear you pray when you prayed for james but i want to tell somebody in this room tonight amen somewhere you have to come to terms amen that if god is done with james amen i prayed and i fasted and i believed and i asked god and i did everything that he told me to do amen i did everything that the word of god asked me to do i'm going to tell you what you're going to have to do amen the only thing you can do is wipe the tears out of your eyes and you tell james i love you and i prayed for you and i've done everything i knew how to do but if god's done with you i can't do nothing else but i'm not gonna be discouraged and quit praying for peter because it didn't work out for james hey man somewhere i gotta make up my mind hey man i'm not gonna give up on praying and i'm not going to give up on believing and i'm not going to stop asking and i'm not going to stop worshiping i'm not going to stop dancing and i'm not going to stop shouting i'm not going to stop believing amen if god's done with peter if god's done with james there's nothing i can do that i made up my mind i'm going to pray another prayer for peter i'm going to put the horseshit i said i'm going to pray another prayer i'm going to ask again i'm going to pray again and i'm going to see god do somebody bless his holy name [Music] oh i know that voice i know that boy says what are you gonna ask for god didn't hear you the last time you prayed same thing happened to daniel daniel prayed for 21 days and he ain't heard nothing he ain't had a cold chill he ain't had a goose bump his prayer closets felt like a deep freezer nothing's happening but daniel still shows up and prays he comes back the second day and the third day the tenth day the 15th day the 20th day but daniel said on that 21st day as i was praying hallelujah as i was praying he said i felt a hand lay on me hallelujah i felt a hand laid on me he said and the voice that spoke to me said daniel my beloved amen because how many knows when you're praying and it don't look like god's movement amen the devil said if god loved you he answered your prayer if god really cared about you he'd have done turn that thing around but the lord said after 21 days daniel the first thing i want you to know is i love you and i heard you the first day i heard you the first time you prayed hallelujah i said i heard you and man you hear me tonight it ain't over until god says it's over it's not done until god says it's done you better pray again you better ask again you better say i'm not giving up until i get an answer [Music] i see i see their struggle i see why they're having a hard time hey man i'm praying for peter but i don't know if something's gonna happen i'm gonna pray how many knows while they're in there trying to figure out whether it's peter or not he's still over there knocking on the door he's over there let me in amen finally somebody goes over there and opens the door and when they open the door peter's standing at the door amen and the bible says that when they saw him they were astonished hey man how many knows if you'll keep praying god will do something to blow your mind [Music] i said if you'll pray again god will do something that'll blow your mind amen they were astonished when they saw peter standing at the door but let me tell you something you know why there's a hesitancy to open the door it's because a few days ago they prayed and they opened the door and james wasn't standing there they prayed and james was nowhere to be found they asked and when they opened the door nothing they prayed and they opened the door and they felt disappointment and there's something in us that we struggle when we pray amen because if you're not careful you'll go in your prayer closet and shut the door and the devil will try to turn your prayer closet into a tomb because you'll shut the door and you'll barricade yourself and you'll say i ain't coming out cause the last time i opened the door i got hurt and the last time i opened the door i got disappointed and the last time i opened the door amen i made myself amen i was wounded and this happened and that happened i'm going to tell you something tonight amen jesus said when thou prayest he said enter into your closet he said and when thou has shut the door pray to the father which is in secret and the father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly if there is such a time that you've got to go in there and shut the door and pray then there is also a time that you've got to open the door and let the answer hallelujah come on if there's a time to shut the door then there's a time to open the door if there's a time to pray there's also a time to receive if there's a time that i have to ask there's a time i've got to open the door and say god if if i've got to ask again if i've got to pray again if i gotta push back another plate i give giving up till i get a miracle i'm not giving up till i get a healing i'm not giving up hallelujah [Applause] [Music] and they opened the door and what was standing on the outside was peter and here was his testimony peter said not only has god delivered me from the hand of herod he said he's also delivered everybody that wanted to see me throw in the towel everybody that wanted to see me hallelujah come on hallelujah it meant almost a year ago almost a year ago i stood in my kitchen hey man and i wept i was looking at my phone because you climbed up in that pulpit and you preached like somebody from another world amen hallelujah emma hallelujah i watched you do it i watched you pray i watched you preach hey man i watched and i want the tears out of my eyes you hear me what i'm telling you tonight i'm telling you there comes a time if you'll open the door i said if you'll open the door and he knows god ain't done yet i said if you'll open the door i said if you'll open the door god will turn this thing around if you'll open the door i said the devil's a liar i said the devil is a liar the from the expectation of the people everybody that wrote me off everybody that thought this battle was going to take me out everybody that thought hey man if god ain't going to move for james they'll somebody's hearing the knock on the door and somebody's hearing the knock of the spirit and if you'll open the door hallelujah i said if you'll open the door if you prayed for it you can believe for it if you ask for it you can receive it come on i said if you prayed for it don't you let let me tell you something tonight if the devil can't talk you into something he'll try to talk you out of it and you better make up your mind tonight i'm not going to let the devil talk me out of out of walking in the blessings of god and i'm not going to sit on a pew and be depressed the rest of my life i'm not going to come to the house of god and then dragging my lip on the ground i'm not going to live my life with an old spirit of heaviness and an oppression i'm not going to come in here and living like i'm barely getting by i'm going to go in there and shut the door and i'm going to pray again i'm going to shut the door and ring the prayer bells of heaven i'm going to shut the door and i'm going to pray until something happens oh lift your hands and bless him tonight hallelujah hallelujah oh hallelujah come on pray all over this house somebody somebody's here on the knock i said somebody's here to knock come on pray all over this room oh yes where are you at somebody tonight needs to open the door the answer's not on the way the answer's here where are you at somebody pray all over this house nobody moving around nobody being distracted nobody preoccupied come on prayer is made without seizing of the church we've lost some james's come on we we've had some disappointments we've wept over the last year and a half we've been frustrated we've been aggravated sometimes we've not let our emotions get the best of us sometimes we about lost our mind but i want to tell somebody here tonight if you prayed on it come on don't you be surprised when you start hearing the knock on the door and somebody tonight i know what the enemy said the enemy said if you open the door you'll get hurt again and if you open the door you'll be disappointed and if you open the door you'll make yourself vulnerable again but i feel like telling somebody tonight if you'll open the door god i heal you i said if you'll open the door god i heal you god wants to heal somebody in this room tonight of some emotional damage amen that's happened somewhere in your past it meant somebody's threw up a wall and you said i'll never let them do that to me again come on where's the pr where's the church of prayer in here tonight come on where's the people of intercession why don't up and you ask again you show up and you call on the name of the lord you're like job and you rise up out of the ashes and you say the lord giveth and the lord taketh away but blessed be the name of and he just said he just said give her whatever she wants she heard her continually coming has bothered me come on somebody needs to know tonight god don't operate like that god is not an unjust ruler if your son asked you for bread would you give him a stone if he asked you for fish would you give him a serpent jesus said it is your father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom come on i said night fear filled their hearts and they thought they would die but they failed to remember that the master was he spoke the words and the winds all stood still you see the waters they obey his will and he calmed their storms just like he will my if i'll just remember he lives deep inside why should i worry and why should i fear when the very same jesus he stays always here he lives in my heart and he hears when i cry and i will call on his name [Music] we read in the bible how he walked with them all lie to their darkness when the way bruce sold them how great it would be to have his steps not like this verse but it said we are often destitute of the things that life demands one of shelter and of food thirsty hills and barren land but i like this but we're trusting in the lord and good to you stand up on your feet hallelujah give him my biggest thing clap for praise if god's been good to you he surely be good to me and i can testify oh i can testify you know i believe right now god wants more than anything that his broad be made whole that his broad be saved healed delivered set free and on fire how many knows that the lord is married to the backspider oh he loves his love and his mercy is everlasting oh and i'm so grateful as josh preached tonight i'll just share my testimony real quick of what god did for me this year oh he's so he's so merciful you see i know sometimes when we come in our childhood and we grow up there are things that the enemy plants there to try to i guess just hinder us steal our joy still our peace that follows us all the way into adulthood and you know when i was baptized in the holy ghost i was 18 years old it set my feet on a path to seek god in a deeper way that i never known him the anointing of god the depths of god and through that i found great healing for things that i'd gone through in my childhood come from a broken pastor's home i was just a broken little girl when he put me with josh our senior year graduated high school and i began to dig deep in god's word and i found i found a release in my soul to forgive those who never asked for forgiveness and it was so freeing it set my my heart free to freely forgive but you know there were memories that that pain were attached to there are memories strongholds if you will that i prayed through i prayed past i didn't let us stop me hinder me oh block me but i made up my mind if it was gonna be like that thorn for paul i guess it's gonna be that for me but to god be the glory [Music] but i'll just share this in hopes to let somebody know that god can do this for you in a moment it was in our camp meeting in july pastor anthony nguyen was preaching about you can have a new past you can have a new past it doesn't matter what's been done to you who's wronged you lied on you it doesn't matter what it's been the heart you can have a new past from the last time you repented that god can make it anew in your life and can i tell you in that moment that i didn't feel an earthquaking shaking of god's fire holy ghost or his anointing but god knew my heart that i had leaned on into my own understanding but in all of my ways i have acknowledged him and he has directed my past and in that faithfulness under god can i tell you god took the pain from my childhood away from me he wiped it away oh that stronghold was broken that painful memory that tried to halt me from my past that said oh no it'll never leave but can i tell you my god said i'll never leave you i'll never forsake you but i will go all the way even to the end and i've come to testify to somebody tonight i don't care how bad it was how deep it hurt what that memory was i'm here to tell you my god is able he's able many are the afflictions of the righteous but my god shall deliver him out of them all and can i tell you what god did for me you know it's those inward battles that the enemy has come to try to destroy god's people why because we have the victory how many is going to a land where the builder and maker is god we have a hope we have this blessed hope and it is in christ jesus can somebody give him praise for his delivering power we love you all god bless you praise god thank you that's wonderful so good to meet blessing it more than this his spirit came to me and he gave me this [Music] [Music] what a wonderful message about prayer it's your brother john shahan how you been if you didn't come forward during this altar service after that awesome message praise god i'd be ashamed to be praying after a while i'll tell you that was an awesome message about prayer there was there was an anointing in this house to answer prayer so yes i hope you didn't miss out i pray that you obeyed the lord amen i tell you i felt like folks should i felt like this that are sick and afflicted god that you send healing god we curse all infirmity and sickness we curse corona of ours we curse these things and drive away into the places from which they came to not return lord bless those in financial need tonight with great abundance and great prosperity move in mighty ways father and we'll give you praise in jesus name amen let's give god praise for answered
