is driven into a corner decides on a last-ditch effort so ridiculous and awesome or stupid that it could rival the PC party's tactics the battle has raged for 4 hours the dragon has proven its mettle to the party who are tired but the party have worked down the base defenses and draw close to slaying their target the dragon knowing his time is close to ending goes for one last desperate act dragon stands tall with the pride of his ancestors he takes one last deep breath hoping it won't be his last the dragon looks upon the party and tries to dosing them the party looks upon the dragon with players opinions nothing my views don't require subliminal cancer to be embraced began royalist start campaign players threaten farmers coal guards fight everyone dies but the pain on the guards are get lost and start wildfire burn to death what we didn't even have a chance they ever learn I'm sick of spending hours helping the PCs main characters just to have them throw them away stop allowing evil characters if your players are murder-hobos have bad experience with tabletop group well DMing quit hanging out of the group and quit playing RPGs for like seven months one of my friends one day asks me out of the blue if I've ever played D&D and since that his group is looking for more players and he wanted to ask if I'd be downed see that I'd love to talk with the DM and figure out my character come to the session immediately jive with the rest of the players they all enjoy my character have an absolute vast hanging out rekindled appreciation for RPGs we're all gonna make it brass glad you had a fun time a non she's hoping the next session is just as enjoyable villains have a shared history ideal in the camera debris heroes are a group of random murderer homelesses who showed up one day villains win via the power of friendship k guy playing tabletop with group of friends including my boyfriend jokingly call my boyfriend for kill stealing some random bandit from me straighten flips out and starts calling me homophobic ends upon inviting us both when reminded that we are literally a couple kills the game because everyone else takes our sides on it and doesn't want to deal with the DM anymore I was really hyped for the game too I haven't gotten to do fancy stuff in forever served you right homophobe there's a sniper taking game at the party hidden in the shadows we follow light vision scope how do you make this encounter fair you don't at best you have an NPC with them die first to alert them and give them time to get cover this this possible NPCs are a great way to demonstrate the lethality of encounter to the players without having to kill a PC party visits dungeon that is really far away from civilization somewhere down the line is a safe area where there's a goblin cobbled ratman merchants that offers to exchange loot for rations and supplies particles him while pretending to take his offer finding only the little bit of stuff you currently carried with him my creations for four days wet stones a carpet and the bottle of clean water dungeon turns out to be extremely long and grueling even more so than the archaeologists claimed so they end up living with things unfinished and the somewhat meager net gain of loot the death mansion was kinda impossible Clara is acknowledged in focused wizard very first illusion is making a space look like a crate in a room full of crates and hiding in it guards who weren't even aware norm was in the room in the first place step in and make a feeling for that random crate and put their hand through it diem waves away our complaints which some [ __ ] about passive perception checks letting the guards notice one random crate in a haphazard pile of them looking out of place few minutes later my character falls repeat covered by an illusionary floor didn't even get the safe to sit through the illusion when my foot came down because diem says I'm already falling in next Konami illusion spell fails to some bull perception excuse again we decided we've had enough demanded diem draw out every area we move carefully in ten feet increments filling every inch of ground wall tree rock etc that's in our path diem annoyed and says were being give you attic the man will get the same stupid passive perception check to immediately dispel illusions that NPCs get no they get it because they're familiar with the area give up and go to towns Guard barracks and create illusion over rock just outside the door ask why the guards aren't running over touches diem besides casting spells in town is legal and has guards chasers down do not persist make losing some everywhere while the guards hack us apart rest of us on the ground not fighting back clashing around in our own blood holding our induced entrails up in the guards faces screaming this isn't real this isn't real player says he wants to play some sort of warrior or magic person who goes on epic quests I sit him down and explain to him that because this setting has yet to undergoing industrial revolution there's a 90% chance his character will be ruled as a peasant farmer never leaves his village player says he wants to be a paladin roham is a peasant farmer whose time father is too old to attend the fields can't abandon his family in their time of strife he gets conscripted by a local Lord making a land grab oh boy adventure time dice of the century on the March this red kinda reminds me of one NPC from a published setting I once read basically he got famous for killing a norcold Krug problem is Krug is a perky common name for works and two works are dumped so now he basically has everything work in the setting wanting to avenge their beloved friend truck which would be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that he can easily curse this call of the average org with his badass magic gauntlet slash prosthetic arm which only sets more orcs on the Vengeance path against him Bjork named Krug strongest orc best work one day Creek comes croc where you weep Krieg Krug my friend you have been killed stand up in shock angrily demand to know who has killed me huh me with weird feast bastard killing Krug without Krug even knowing Krug Hunt magic fist man kill him for killing Krug seems like something an orc could do weapons of mass destruction what's your settings weapon of mass destruction equivalent who is in possession of these objects or artifacts in our campaign we call it the gem and its backstory is quite interesting a sorcerer who was seeking power decided to make a deal with the devil the devil gave the sorcerer a small black gemstone the devil told him that if magic is channeled to the gem and the sacrifice of part of the users soul is mailed the user can cast any spell they want the devil then told him that it can only be used 12 times before the users soul is depleted the devil has smiled at the sorcerer and then disappeared unsure if it was a trick the sorcerer decided to test it he tested by transforming an apple into a raven after realizing what he had he proceeded to make his life better he used it to charm the woman of his dreams into loving him he used it to transmit 25 tons of stone into platinum feeling like he wanted to be adored used it sounded harassed in order to cause a panic only for him to use it again to defeat the asked making him a hero on food when scarce in the kingdom used it to make the fields able to be harvested year round when the plague decimated the kingdom used it to heal the afflicted and pearl illness when the kingdom was under siege used it to counter a storm powerful enough to destroy the entire invading force he was soon crowned king for 20 years he refrained from using the gem but after an attempt on his life that left him near death used to keep him from death knowing he only had three uses left he devised the plan he used it to cast a powerful cloaking spell on it so that no devil could find it he then used it one last time to seal what was left of his soul into the gem thus keeping his soul from the devil the gem was then lost for centuries fast-forward to our campaign the party sorcerer discovered the gem I then told him about it he then proceeded to traveled up his ass and used it to make his bigger why do I even try alright does it for this video thank you guys for watching I hope
