[Music] hi there folks thanks for clicking onto my video today this is cookie with sasha china and today i'm going to show you how i do rump lamb steaks okay so obviously what we've got in the chopping board today is i've got my two lamb rump steaks there i've got a piece of garlic some fresh rosemary salt pepper some virgin extra virgin oil i said that twice um some parsley and of course some mustard seeds as well so we're gonna pan fry these bad boys alrighty let's get cooking so um the first thing you want to do before you start cooking any sort of meat is actually pull out the meat at least 20 minutes or half an hour beforehand let it come up to room temperature that way when it cooks it's gonna be super relaxed and it's not to be tight and that it's going to be you know all hard and shriveled up so anyways the first thing we're going to do is get our garlic we're not going to peel or anything let you put the knife on there heel of your palm crush that down okay if there is little bits of skin that come off fine take them off if not no worries just discard that in the bin what we're gonna do we're going to just break gently the fresh rosemary like that then we're going to get our salt straight to the lamb steaks we're going to do the same with the black pepper also going to get the parsley as well and now i know we've got rosemary there but well don't put that much on there because now it looks a little bit funky we got the mustard seeds as well i do like mustard seeds but i only use a little bit i mean it's just i find there's something about them you should actually just um use them in your pesto mortar if you do have them then you can actually uh crush them up actually as you can see there but um sometimes oh god that's heavy i don't do that so now it's the time for the extra virgin olive oil because we're gonna season the lamb states not the pan so while this is all happening i've got my pan on the stove there i'm going to turn it on and let that come to heat so um i know uh people have different ways on how they like their steaks or their lambs cooked and everything i like mice okay sorry brother folks um my camera just turned off so anyway like i was getting back to we are actually seasoning the lamb not the pan now i do the same for steaks and i believe it should be the same for all meat really but i know that some people prefer to season the pan that's entirely up to them everybody cooks how they do now we're gonna turn this over i'm gonna quickly wash my hands and now what we're going to do we're going to season the other side with exactly the same ingredients that we used before so again just a smingy bit spongy a touch of parsley a touch of black pepper a touch of salt and the mustard seeds as well so what we've got now is actually the pan has been um on in the background we're getting it nice and hot because i actually like my lamb um a bit medium rare as well so you're gonna wait for your parents to start smoking so it gets super hot and we'll come back when i start frying that okay so the pan is now nice and hot i just want to make sure you guys can see that yeah you can so what we're going to do we're going to get our lamb state so you see them put them in there and just listen to them so while that's sizzling away like that okay so you actually just watch me wash my hands sorry about that folks now we're going to put in the um garlic clove that we crushed up like that and sprinkle rosemary like that just throw it on in there we go and the best thing to do i'll see now pop the lid on and just let it brown off that way all righty we'll come back when it's ready all righty so what i've done i've now just turned over the lampstate i've got the garlic on there and the rosemary so that's just really going to permeate the meat so i'm going to put the lid back on it smells absolutely lovely so we'll come back when that's fully ready okay so that's been on there for a couple of minutes and that is perfect so i'm going to turn the heat off now so it's literally just that in its own heat we're just going to render the fat off and it's done that piece around there it's absolutely gorgeous so if i can actually get a close-up of that for you guys with the garlic and the lamb and the broccoli i don't know if you guys can see can you see there we go look at that absolutely scrumptious alrighty so this is done now what i'm going to do is take it off the heat i've already turned the heat off so i'm just going to let that rest for about five minutes or 10 minutes and then i'm going to [Applause] wipe that up and eat it with dinner well thanks for watching my video guys this was cooking with sasha china and if you like my videos or channel please like and subscribe to it please feel free to leave any comments down below and i'll see you guys in my next video bye i can't even stop recording oh okay what's happening [Music] you
