[Music] [Music] so typically when we're doing these back leaning things we want to see the tension applied to it from the side view you can't always get that because of obstructions of you and stuff terrain whatever but we can here so as you can see the main stem leans back quite a bit there's the stuff that's just way over there over that way over the irrigation ditch and over those people's yard that's a yard over there but then we got some helpers that's why we didn't go nuts oh I'm cutting that off and we just cut the sides off so now we're gonna tension a little bit then I always feel the static tension on the on the line I like feel it with my hand because for years I've pulled things over and I can have an idea you're like yeah I give it some more okay so we're going over this front one but it's got a moral on it a half hitch and then it goes through the back one and is but tied down there there is a little bit of mechanical advantage going on but that's a moral out there is that is that details is that good is that what somebody wants to see so now we have to put a face cut in it and then well we make the back cut we just kind of watch watch the tree watch the curve watch the top and and we see what kind of command we have see if it's sitting back on the bar see if it's if it's moving forward and we'll put the drone on it so that we can kind of show how much of the hole we use up here because that's fun that's fun isn't it fun isn't it coach thing we'll cut the stump just a teensy bit high and I'll shorten it up a bit because it's wide enough that the curve of the sidewalk encroaches on the tree canopy where the canopy is going to be hitting and so we have first contact these logs here this side of the sidewalk not too close because you don't want to shove the logs into the sidewalk when it hits but close enough that the main impact of the branches when they hit are on those logs before the sidewalk oh it's not rocket science it's just something it's just something we do good morning YouTube we're here at a big oak tree August I'll go ahead and describe to you what's going on no no no and with that being said we've got this big massive oak tree it's super widespread as you can see and we can't damage the sidewalk or damage the brand-new house they're gonna be putting a new house in here but the cost of a removal like this with a house right here could be double or triple what it is now so we're gonna go ahead and take it out it's a no cleanup job all we have to do is get it on the ground and keep it contained within the lot of the sidewalk boundary here so yeah sidewalks good this is how we're gonna do it this is how we do it how do we do it we don't know we're talking about it we brought the crane but I'm thinking maybe the crane is not going to happen because because this is a lot of empty space these are fresh sidewalks they're only four inches thick there's some water irrigation what's my jig is out there and stuff so we don't want to damage those hey can you tell that guy to stop hammering over there on that new house okay thanks so probably follow the tree so if we sooner it straight out this way it's so wide it'll be hitting the sidewalk pretty hard on this side and it'll just be brushing the fascia on the house there which would probably be a non-issue so probably what we do is remove that limb of that trunk back to where it'll fit in the yard and then maybe a little bit of the side of it over here don't have to be better video if it brushes a little bit right sure would yeah so we don't know what we're gonna do but I think we'll skinny it up and then the canopies of the other tree are kind of blocking it but it goes way over the irrigation ditch way over that way which is fine because we have leverage this big lead that we have to take off it is helping us so it sucks that we got to take it off it helps our weight but still it's got to come off it just comes down to skinny it up this is my prediction we skinny it up and then we put a line in it we got a sixteen thousand five hundred pound winch on the chip truck with a load of chips in the back and we put a bunch of tension on it and we crank this puppy over against its will against its lane and against its future okay YouTube audience viewers that I love here's what we decided to do we already have a crane sitting here so we'll use it we didn't need it maybe but we can just gently sat down this one whole side and then we can not have to fight the overhang with the bucket truck you know we'll just pick it and set it down gentle right here and there's Jeff coming with the bucket truck and we'll skinny up the other side we don't have to like if a bear was chasing me I could follow this right now and probably have no damage but it's a no cleanup job and it's kind of nice to not rush around and just do whatever you know you have to do to be safe or to be to not have drama that doesn't mean that if it was a cleanup job we would start cutting corners just saying we are going to not rush around we're gonna have some fun there was a meal had right here a tasty meal non vegan Dameon says we look up at him in his face oh that's funny I can hear the YouTube critics now saying you got all that room you don't need all that fancy equipment well guess what we drove here with some of it so we'll go ahead and use some of it and the critics can make a video and show me how they do it and I probably won't watch actually but yeah we're doing it this way because we want to right now and this is America and we're gonna get this done just right right yep that's right that's right [Music] yeah oh yeah that's off so let me know if you'd like me to cut it or hook it slings up any smoother next time okay I'll let you know nice and gentle [Music] [Applause] some of you guys love details so give me something so this bucket truck is kind of a bad help the real polar [Laughter] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] why do you walk in front of it when it's cut my path never ever step in front of the pace man my goodness still back leaning really hard okay starting to open a little [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I'm eating a lot of dust here those guys got it worse out there those little tips that we cut off would have been brushing by the fascia do you like it YouTube do you like it like we like it the last thing we'll do is clear the sidewalk and inspect it to make sure our our log curb protector was the ticket and see the curb protector sticking out there so we only use it where we needed it see we didn't need it here for the wispy twigs but we needed it where we needed it do you know what I mean [Music] I think we ate up the whole whole lot here indeed what are you doing August so first off yeah where's the leaf blower that guy's really stoned okay so here so here's the thing how many guys have girls gals and pets etc have done this thing where they forgot their blower and they needed to blow off the sidewalk somehow so all you need is a jacket or a shirt or something hey see this is a Bear Valley jacket it's really a nice one actually but it doesn't sawdust and stuff doesn't stick to it very good which is good so then you put there put it on the rake and you zip it up that make sure your pockets are closed so that you know you don't get saw stuff in your pockets because then you don't lose the stuff that's in your pockets and then this sidewalk over here Bear Valley rocks it's a super good coat since you guys like to hear us talk scent of you some of the haters on YouTube the ones that critique my work they'll say why was not so deep you don't make a deep notch in a back leaner so see how deep the notch is well listen to this listen to this logic since you need to know this and tell me the true pros will will already kind of understand this but when you have a bunch of back weight you don't go pulling a leaner over you have a bunch of back weight you don't pull a massive leaner over without total commando right so if you have total command in other words massive pulling strength and its really strong rope or cable then you want you know that you have brand of it so so you may you make your notch with the tension on it then when you start your back cut you're already pulling really hard and you're pulling back weight why add the extra pulling power of having your hinge way over here with all the back way way back here why do that so when you move the hand to this way you don't have to pull as hard you already have command but you don't have to pull as hard to get it to tip it's easier on everything and so it's not just like yeah yeah you're making it you move the tipping point back so I wouldn't suggest that everybody just runs out and deep notches everything they should but you should know when to do it and you should have everything else in place in tragedy if you don't realize that you're just making a back going deep into a face without you know good command so what he's saying is if if you didn't have massive pulling power or you had weak ropes then he wouldn't even try because you don't have enough to do it you even have less ability to do it if you add the hinge point being too far forward on top of it or add or add too much hinge see this is not a massive hinge we wanted a little thicker on this side because the weight of the tree was over here toward the house I got it where he wanted it left a little bit on the far corner then walked away from and pulled it over and then we know we're depending completely 100% on ropes so if you're planning on slamming a bunch of wedges in from the back and deep notching you might not leave enough room for all your wedging space and it's and it's super hard to wedge a tree over when you have a fence right behind it yeah when the sites were well the site's looked like they were like 3 or 4 feet off to the left when we originally wanted to gun at a certain point you know 3 4 feet off to the right so we started looking at it it looked kind of sketchy but August knew and had the feeling from cutting enough that his sights were lying to him and he knew exactly where sights truly were yeah by looking at the saw so that so the 88 with the cannon bar the sights are off and so I had to to go by gut on the face cut and yeah you wouldn't want to you want to make sure your sights are good before you just use them all the time for important stuff especially I don't like something big or something that's leaning like this yeah well like that and not right into the hole where you're kind of compensating for the lean yeah anyway it's super important to to know your saw or to know your job I guess I guess it's time to know some dutch bros yeah we'll buy coffee for youtube today Damian says bye now yeah it's here cool tree guy tree guy YouTube Watchers please my goodness [Music]
