Pt 67- Are Women Pastors Allowed?- Dr. Gene Kim (Berkeley Grad & Doctorate)

I know we live in a very liberal area and people don't agree with you and even Christians don't agree with you but you know what the Bible says women cannot be pastors or church leaders they cannot have any leadership in a church but can women preach teach and do something or maybe like you know to Sunday School classes or children what about that but we'll come to these passages but first let's look at first Timothy 2 verse 11 through 12 verse 11 to 12 let the women learn in silence with all subjection so women are supposed to be silent okay in what sense this verse 11 when women are to be kept in silence my point is it does not mean that she's silent in everything all right there's a context you have to find out the context is what is she supposed to be silent about this is where we come in that women can't preach or teacher stuff like that in church I'll show you okay verse 12 the context is but I suffer not a woman to teach why nor to assert authority over the man but to be in silence because why because it has to do with authority of men a women cannot have a position of authority where she's in charge of a man a man should be in charge over the women see that's why if women if they're so if I was a girl and I taught you the Bible and I preached to you and guess what I'm an authority over you you see that so in that sense I'm supposed to be kept in silence now does that mean that I can't sing a hymn that I can't give a personal testimony or what or whatever some women wondered can I teach little children in Sunday School classes or maybe even teach fellow women you know women classes etcetera stuff like that well no women can do that the Bible says let everyone hath breath praise the Lord the Bible says that Paul says in the book of 2nd Corinthians 5 all are supposed supposed to proclaim the gospel of God the gospel Christ was given to everyone but you got to look at this the silence is what the context is when it comes to authority over a man you see that because why of the curse look at verse 13 and 14 for Adam was first formed then Eve and Adam was not deceived but the woman being deceived was in the transgression see because of the curse in the Garden of Eden what did God curse Eve the woman she is supposed to be in subjection to the husband you see that so that's the reason why so when some people whine and say you know then women can't do anything you know they can't even sing or testify seeing a special or you know whatever no that's not true the Bible says that I want to have breath praise the Lord that everyone who have holy hands lift them up to God that everyone proclaimed the gospel of Christ the silence is in context of what authority over men this is why we do not believe in women pastors or women teachers in the church you know why because we got grown male men right here and when you take this position right here it is a position of authority you know why because look at first Peter 5 I will show you first Peter 5 my friend when you take a leadership position in the church like an an office position in the church one thing you have to understand is is it is a position of authority it is a position of leadership that God has given to them look at first Peter chapter 5 verse 1 through 5 verses 1 through 5 verse 1 the elders which are among you I exhort I'm also an elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ and also a particularly glory that wood shall be revealed so now is right here there's a church position right here called the elders now notice what the Bible says about them all right if you look at verse 5 what did the Bible say likewise ye younger submit yourselves unto the elder you see that so notice right here that the elder position of the church is a position of authority why because younger people who are not elders they have to what submit to the elder you see that so you understand that the pastor is a position an authoritative leadership position look at first Timothy 3 first Timothy chapter 3 first Timothy chapter 3 first Timothy chapter 3 we'll look at verse 1 first Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 notice right here this is a true saying if a man desire the office of a bishop he desireth a good work notice right here a church office leadership church office position one right here bishop but notice right here if you look at verse five for if a man know not how to rule his own house how shall he take care of the Church of God you see that is this a position of rulership leadership you see that he has to take care of the church look at verse 12 verse 12 let the Deacons be the husbands of one wife ruling their children and their own house as well you see that they have to have the church office position of a Deaconess rulership - they got a rule over their own house and their children and the look at verse 13 and continues for they that have used the office of a deacon well purchased to themselves a good degree and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus so you notice right here that church office position see it is a authoritative positions now me I'm against Church dictators you know I don't believe that the pastor is your Pope alright that is if you're you know like your final authority is not me here you know why you ended up in this church because you are not you didn't come here from me you didn't see my face on YouTube and go oh you know I'm not listen to this guy not because of what was preached from this ball that's what you came to hear so you know I don't believe in church dictators I want the other people to realize that all right however you got to understand this that when you take the position of a pastor or a deacon or some church office position it is a position of leadership because the members they come here and the pastor their job is to guide and lead the Sheep according to the Word of God he's supposed to feed them take care of him and you that's why you see women if they take that position that then they have to take that position of guiding and leading what grown 'fl men which is a no-no in the Word of God yeah you see that well look at first Timothy 3 will also look at verse 2 through 4 verse 2 through 4 the Bible is also very plain why women cannot take church office positions you know why because 1st Timothy chapter 3 verse 2 says a bishop or I see we see a church office position right here it says then must be blameless the look at this husband of one wife you see that he's a male he has to be what a husband unless you're a lesbian then you qualify high but right here you see you and I know very well that is not true so if you're gonna have you you gotta take a true job in the position you have to be what a man a husband not only that because look at verse 5 it says verse 1 verse 4 scuse me verse 4 one that ruleth well his own house having his children in subjection with all gravity verse 5 for if a man know not how to rule his own house how shall he I think that's plain you see so notice right here that it's only a man let's also look at verse 11 even so must their wise be grave not slanderers sober faithful in all things so notice right here that these church office leaders they have what wives see that so you know what the women qualify it not church leadership positions but as their wife you see that now look at verse 12 let the Deacons be what husbands of one wife you see that so notice that another church office position right here Deacon is what a male a male so that's why we do not believe that women should have a church office positions right here Church office leadership positions in here because it is a position of authority and leadership and women are supposed to be what silence and objection unto the men according why because I say so because it's fair no it's because it's called a curse why do you think God called it a curse and justice pregnancy also will look at first Corinthians 14 first Corinthians 14 look at verse 29 first Corinthians chapter 14 we'll look at verse 29 let's look at verse 34 that way we can be more plain verse 34 through 35 verse 34 335 knows what the women are supposed to do in church let your women keep silence in the churches so notice that women are supposed to be quiet in the church why because the context shows it has to do with position of authority as a pastor or teacher to the whole group because keep reading for it is not permitted unto them to speak but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law see it's because what the subjection position unto the man verse 35 and if they will learn anything let them ask their husbands at home see that so notice right here that they're gonna speak out notice right here it's to their husbands why because the husband is supposed to be in authority over them see women are not supposed to act like that their authoritative and their leadership over the men so this is an important lesson for you men if you men are not able to guide your wife in the Bible and she has to be the one that's more spiritual than you knows more than you and has to guide you you are horrendously backslidden you are messed up because why are you supposed to set an example for your wives man help them guide and lead the house all right now so that's the so they are supposed to keep science in the church why because it has to do with the husband and notice it's more playing if you look at verse 34 34 through 35 it has to do with what it has to do with preaching and from the whole church see where men are at verse 34 let your women keep silence in the churches why for it is not permitted that passage excuse me verse 29 verse 29 notice the context let the prophets speak two or three and let the other judge you see that notice right here that they're judging the whole church that they're critiquing right here verse thirty if anything be revealed to another that sitteth by that the first hold his peace verse 31 for he may all prophesy one by one what that all may learn and all may be comforted look at that so that people can learn from you so notice that when you that these people are prophesying here so that people can learn and Paul says all of you are supposed to do that but he puts her right here in verse 34 35 the women aren't to keep silent why because 29 30 and 31 shows that these people who are speaking out is what teaching everybody see they have to learn from them so if women come here and in verse 29 31 if they were the ones that did that that prophesied so that people can learn from the woman you notice and again you see they take the position of authority over men you see that so that should never be the case so in context it has to do with grown full adult men right here see so that's why women are supposed to keep silence in the church that does not mean that women can have the excuse for that acting backslidden not learning much Bible they can't testify a word of testimony or singing special or teach the young people or even teach fellow women you know some women they like to get away with it and say hi that's not my position because that would be a position on Authority no when it comes to grown men yeah that's what you're not supposed to do but that does not give any excuse where you can do that with fellow women and younger people because you are supposed to set an example for them to know you're supposed to learn a lot of Bible
