hello I'm Philippa and today I'm sitting here with Tim Scott and you're gonna teach me one of your songs go yeah but you know it's time to go okay cool so this riff is fairly difficult and requires a lot of hybrid picking but we're gonna go step by step and make it pretty easy so I'll do a section and you do a section and it'll just switch off I guess sounds fun so the first section is gonna look like so you're gonna start on the seventh fret of the E [Music] yeah so you're just hitting bad [Music] [Music] so that's gonna be nine on the signing back up to that so then the next [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] for the a [Music] okay so we got a triplet statue this one has a lot it's got a lot of name yeah and I have to play the part before it yeah [Music] [Music] [Music] there you go yep oh sweet [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] age 10 for both of us 26:26 now yeah geez I still pick up 25 go okay so you only hit it from the top yeah there's gonna be in the ninth fret [Music] that's the satisfying you can miss the whole thing and just get yeah I never get that one that's all [Music] I blame it on being drunk so then we've got [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] that way really is the same nose that doesn't matter [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] and then remember this thing that we did [Music] right so that's the but what we're gonna do is like add some tension [Music] yeah so it's the the shitty Court sounds like this but you're not even gonna like switch it to that one you're just gonna sign up [Music] we don't we don't show each other the riffs anymore I sent it to him and he just learned so by ear and he sends me his and I learn it by ear so we have our own ways of playing them you're getting the double [Music] yeah and that's the nasty [Music] [Music] [Music] so basically I guess before you know we continue the we should have done this with the intro it's it's based off of you know a bell melody which is the whole thing is just flexing on those four notes like just flexing really hard on those four notes so so far we have [Music] [Applause] [Music] that was the first half and I copy pasted it over yeah because so that I could like change like the third one yeah and then it would be finished what happened was I copy pasted it over in the wrong spot and it ended up sounding really [ __ ] dope so basically it's a beat ahead the downbeat so it looks like and then it catches back onto a downbeat so so pretty much you're doing the second one is from yeah [Music] oh cool so pretty much yeah you're gonna double it and it starts like that and then I guess we'll skip to the very difficult lick yeah like it's really [ __ ] get smarter so it looks like this [Music] so that's the flexi part so we're just gonna learn that real slow and you know then you pretty much have the wrist at that point you already know how so you want to teach it that first a phenomenal teacher the part that I played before I drop out because it's sloppy [Music] [Music] and then you're gonna switch to maybe 15 14 14 all right let's get down yeah and you're gonna want to do so it's a very very difficult but um you know a cool riff and I think one of one of our coolest ones certainly keeps your chops in order that's for sure where if you don't practice it like we do it ends up you know being a little bit of a mess but that's alright so practice makes perfect yeah yeah cool so yeah that's go that's good that is the first riff of goat there are many more riffs but that's the first one okay [Music] start from the top [Music] yeah I just be holding for chase but only hitting one knows just like in case [Music] [Music] so you're wanting to hit ten really just move it down to nine yeah there's no ten at all [Music] [Music] [Music] yeah really make sure this that ones ringing that's important [Music] see any nut be string [Music] then [Music] yes that is all the parts so when you you know listen to the song you know know all the parts and then you can arrange them as you will or rearrange them into a different song or play completely differently like I do yeah lots of options so yeah well I'm glad that we could get through one of the most difficult risks ever so thank you so much for watching I really hope you enjoyed this video and um yeah man I hope I see you own really soon
