first time we've ever done this on daily driven exotics typically we do vinyl wrap this is a massive project we also have center exit exhaust now complete so i'm excited to go and give you guys an update two months to get this paint i hope you guys enjoyed the update on the twin turbo f12 by aaron kaufman it was really cool aaron took the time to do that for us as you know with the circumstances in the world i couldn't go down and film any of that and aaron he's been busy building the car he's not exactly a cinematographer but it was pretty cool he took the time to walk you all around the car and i learned a lot in those 22 minutes he's very well spoken and making simple for us simple people ryan's an engineer by trade so he got it right away that's cool ryan builds rockets i'm rocking the r34 gtr i love this car this car right hand drive the spec 2. you need to have your foot on the clutch to start this car and some people said you don't well there's proof that you do i chocolate all right guys we are off the fast track auto body to give you that exclusive behind-the-scenes look of the paint job in progress now it's only halfway done we have a lot of deliveries still to do but you're going to see the most important part which is the very exclusive almost impossible to get lark pink by mclaren and we're back fast track auto body shifting gears from the jdm space back over to my exotic space this is my 488 sitting here in preparation for that's right the liberty walk wide body recreation of the 458 tire sled they've already got the front bumper off and they will be preparing this car for an extensive cutting of the fenders as well what are you doing enigma that's always testing things yeah we're not here dave are we to see the 488 we're not today we're not we're here for a very special gtr update the 720 gtr that is we have a lot of gtrs we have many we have five gt three gtr came from we have the r34 jdm gtr we have the iron 720s gtr and my r35 alpha built 1200 wheel horsepower gtr now if you remember in the previous episode he had painted a door and he had done it in several coats we had six coats seven coats eight coats and we decided we're gonna go with seven coats just for the perfect amount of pink without it making it look like it's too crazy because the first coat basically actually looked just like this that's not what we wanted we wanted something a little darker we found andrew he's pretending to do something yet again what are you doing what are you doing i'm holding training why is it guys laughing tony's like he ain't doing [ __ ] what are you doing no right on the hood he's so bullish so this is what we got to work with this is just a mock-up so that you can get an idea of the shape because the shape's got to come down and basically create this v now if you don't know the p1 gtr lark it has this gray design on the hood we will be painting that's right this beautiful carbon fiber hood it'll still be carbon underneath we are even painting the carbon headlight sockets for the lack of a better word i thought about painting the carbon fiber louvers but i'm going to leave them yeah sure i'm going do you think leave them bro leave them leave them okay we'll leave them carbon but we're going to paint all this stuff this is the color look how bright that is on camera i think it's actually doing a pretty good job in here to demonstrate yeah how it looks because on camera usually looks so it looks it looks red but it's not in person right now it's not red no it's very pinkish it almost looks like my design i had previously right see i've been editing the facebook videos and i've seen pro this probably a thousand times and i can tell you it looks way different in person it's got that pink brightness it's crazy right it's crazy so you guys this is it this is all paint this is the beginning they're going to be working over the next week to get everything painted all the design done on this car this door will no longer be white it's going to be a metallic gray this is a big thing for dd we've never done a livery in pain it's always been vinyl yeah this is the first time one of one we've ever done paint like you have to come and see this car in person to appreciate how much work we've gone through to get here have they seen the exhaust all done yet no oh that's a big moment can we show them this they killed it with the exhaust they had to take the whole bumper cut everything up refab it all sand it all down and they've painted it it looks so weird you don't know you would never know it was changed it looks oem this is the only car in the world that has this design so here we go you guys three two one oem looking exhaust is uh all custom made by unobtainium chris had to completely redesign all this making some longer exhaust tips so that this is that p1 gtr looking style exhaust this absolutely kills it for me i love this it's so oem the way they relocated the heat shields are really a work of art for me this piece this active arrow no longer goes up this will be painted as well as this it has that long tail effect and then we have a full carbon four steiner chassis mounted wing that's sitting in the corner and that's gonna have some paint and some details on it and some exposed carbon this is the biggest project next to the f-12 these two cars are the two biggest projects we have ever had on this channel this one being a lot of bodywork and cosmetic stuff and carbon wheels from dymag and vorstiner and all this vorstiner carbon the mso tie bar install that anthony and dave did and we have the center seats and the harnesses this car is going to be really something spectacular to see in person as far as exterior wise most modern mclaren ever built so next to like an endless like they caught all the custom things like how many hours in that back bumper was it any idea how many hours tony has spent modifying that rear bumper he's going to say a lot because he's got to write the bill up for me that's right it was like 10 days 10 days 10 days 10 days he didn't sleep he's lost about 20 pounds carbon uh chassis mounted wing we're gonna do some paint work on this we're gonna leave the uprights exposed you guys so i'm excited to see this car all done but for now let's hit a little montage of some of the beautiful details of the first coat of paint so all right guys that's it for the 720 gtr at the moment next time you see it it will look significantly different because once the doors go gray it changes the whole game i just wanted to give you a little a little teaser update because that exhaust that modification is a big one for me it took a long time a lot of paint a lot of work and none of it was done by andrew landry's also working on doing some modifications for gabe's brand new gt3 rs so what did we do here oh these are from my buddies at salter arrow and they make gt2 carbon wing ends higher carbon uprights they kind of look like arrows on my car right now and this is just bigger and square they're the exact same as the gt2 because race car yes because race so carbon operates carbon uprights because and these are taller they're a couple inches taller which is really cool so now they're matte carbon yeah they use on my car they're like aluminum i think aluminium yeah so this is going to look really cool and we're also going to get a set for david no we're not no yeah so we can be matching porsche bros but he's getting lost well that makes [Music] sense my carbon for you dry carbon for you everybody gets
