how small of a speck we actually are in the midst of all this happening like we are insignificant in in terms of time scale hello everybody jack here with another video so today we are doing something a tight bit different uh a call back to uh the type of video that i would do back in the days talking about some scientific stuff but this time around we are not going to the far future no we are taking a step back or a considerable amount of steps back in time talking about the history of the entire world this is a video that was recommended to me by a viewer and this is called the history of the entire world i guess by bill wards uh it's supposed to be like an essential video to watch for anybody who has uh circled the internet long enough and yeah we're going to give it away today because you know there are some of these that are actually essential that you need to check out especially on youtube you have the first video that was uploaded the guy in the zoo and of course the likes of the very well titled go go that video still makes me laugh to this day but anyways though um for some of you who may know who have been subscribed to me for a bit i am a physics student and in terms of commentary i may come across talking a bit about some of the things that may be mentioned here is after all about the whole history of the world so it might not cover too much of the scientific stuff but uh i am also a history andy i like the topic quite a bit grew up watching that because my dad always wanting to be on national geographic is on the channel but without further ado though let's check this out hi you're on a rock floating in space pretty cool huh some of it's water [ __ ] it actually most of it's water i can't even get from here to there without buying a boat it's sad i'm sad i miss you a long time ago actually never and also now nothing is nowhere wow when never makes sense right i like his style of editing nothing was never anywhere that's why it's been everywhere it's been so everywhere you don't need to wear you don't even need a win that's how every it gets yeah the big void of nothingness until the big boom anytime now forget this the suspense was killing me i want things to change i want to invent time and space and i know it's possible because everything is here and it probably already happened i just don't know when to start and that's exactly where it started oh i paused it i think there's a universe now what's it made of corks and stuff quarks in a place don't like it try a new place and then introduce gravity because the world is going to be yeah and emptier but it's not empty yet it's still very full and about a jillion degrees by the way i saw the recurrent this picture before um it i'm guessing this is inspired by the cmb it's called the cosmic microwave background radiation the ones pointing space that everybody can just check out to while this is the furthest that we can see it's almost like a still picture of how the universe was in this first conception is usually showcased as like a a glowing like a globe like an elliptical one that is very stretched out where you can see all the different um temperatures of when each and every particle was condensed to so by that you can like backtrack and see what event occurred when and it's pretty nice that we can still see that because it's like billions and billions of years back great news the quarks are now happily married in groups of three called a proton or a neutron yeah of course that wants to join in but can't because it's still two hadrons by the way sorry for doing this this uh if you're wondering why he chose these colors this is called quantum chromodynamics so the quarks and stuff that he talked about are the building blocks of course of what makes up the matter that we're able to touch the thing is that there are interactive forces that are working between these things like you have the gluons you have the mass ons and things and stuff but the important thing is that uh some physicists decided to jump into a new field that they couldn't quite explain because you have the electromagnetic forces you have the higgs kind of excitation of the particles but the things that then work in between these three are some forces that we decided to depict in form of colors instead which is why the name quantum chromodynamics comes from tron and there's something else flying around too that wants to join in but can't because it's still too great news the protons and neutrons are now heavily married to each other congratulations the world is now a bunch of gas this is also simple but intuitive mode of understanding it and it's getting closer together and it's getting closer together just got made some stars burn out and die bigger stars burn out and die with passion and make some brand new which allows newer and more interesting stars to be made and then die and explode so now stars have been used for ice like rocks ice and funny clouds which can make some very interesting things like this for example [Laughter] weather update those rocks might have had water inside them and now there's hot steam in the sky weather update cooler temperatures today and the floor is no longer lava weather update it's raining severe flooding alert the entire world is now an ocean volcano in the ocean what something's alive in the ocean oh cool like a plant or an animal no a microscopic speck it lives at the bottom of the ocean and eats chemical soups and served hot and fresh you know what's amazing there are still creatures nowadays that are living in the bottom of the ocean feeding upon these black smokers that's literally their name because you know scientists are very uh diligent in naming their stuff so black smokers and creatures on the water in the depths of the ocean are still alive in those temperatures it's like how um what's his name again from jurassic park uh jeff goldblum yeah i can't remember the act the the name that he had but he will always say that life finds a way made from gnarly space ingredients left over from when it was raining rocks or whatever oh yeah and it can do that it has secret instructions written inside itself telling it how to build another one of itself so that's pretty nifty i would say tired of living at the bottom of the ocean now you can eat sunlight using a revolutionary technique you can convert sunlight into food [Music] side effect now there's oxygen everywhere in the sky is blue that's it might have been snowball for a while maybe even a couple of times it's a sponge it's a plant it's a worm and some other types of cambrian explosions it's the cambrian explosion i revisited their stranding so this one is [Music] and there's no food yet so i don't care okay will you learn to walk if there's plants up here maybe i said some bugs and fish okay so i can go on land but i have to go back in the water to have babies learn to use an egg i was already doing that use a stronger egg put water in it have a baby on land in an egg water is in the egg baby in the egg in the water in the egg works for me wow and now everything's huge think about this it took like a hundred and millions of years for life to actually make on land and how fast is that we are destroying everything now i'm not here to be the the pessimist but it's crazy the conditions and how small of a speck we actually are in the midst of all this happening like we are insignificant in in terms of time scale it's it's wonderful but also kind of terrifying but still today we have uh kids who because of their addiction to to their phones well like myself at the very moment i have like bones growing up in the back of their head like we are kick-starting our own dominate the world and one of them just learned how to grab stuff and walk no like walk like that and grab stuff at the same time i'll come and then system rocks together to make pointed rocks ouch and set things on fire and make crazy sounds with their voice which can mean different things that's a human person and now they're everywhere almost sapiens what you can walk over here cool not anymore well i guess we're stuck here now let's review i control the food now now everyone will want to be my friend live near me let's all build houses except mine is bigger because i own the food this is great i wonder if anyone is tired of using rocks for everything use metal it's underground better farming was just invented in a sweet dank valley right in between these two rivers and the animals are helping guess what happens next more food and more people who came to buy the food now you need people to help make the food and keep track of the sales and now you need houses for people to live in and people who make the houses and now there's more people and they invent things which makes things better and more people come five thousand years ago people for more people and now japanese politics in which they never want to acknowledge the past it's like one second world war was over it was like guess what big titty anime girls that's what we're known for now and all the technology that we can invent cyberpunk like it literally changed the image of japan like future japan sure we can talk about that uh to the kawai era i i i can get into that at least that's what i'm noticeable about and the whole samurai time pretty cool stories uh some of them disturbing but still pretty cool but the fact that some of the atrocities that they committed for other lands is something that very little yeah from this of course if you are asian some don't really know about and they they weren't so cool and why killing all the jews is a bad idea but he kills himself before they could explain it to him that's world war hi i'm gandhi and if britain doesn't get the hell out of india i'm going to starve myself in public wow that worked bonus now there's pakistan actually tell who they're being pillaged by yeah states finally decided whether racism is good or bad they decided it's bad and the world agrees south africa might need another one let's check the world population whoa yeah it exploded recently huh she's better too that might keep happening the soviet union decides to relax a little and accidentally falls apart europe makes a union so now they can all use the same money except britain whoops someone just attacked america i bet they'll remember that phone call surprise it's in your pocket surprise no turn to tweet your phone's a computer which is in your pocket whoops the economy just crashed don't worry the big banks won't fail because they're not supposed to no they're not with bombs want to print a brain some people have no friends some people have no food the globe is warming and the ocean is full of plastic let's save the planet said everybody not knowing how let's invent a thing inventor said the thing inventor inventor after being invented by a thing inventor that's pretty cool by the way where the hell are we wow okay this is so packed full of so much stuff [Music] i am grateful that somebody put had a due diligence of making something like this my appreciation of this is even greater thinking about how i would as a kid sit down in classes just thinking to myself i don't want to read this this is so dry like i enjoy reading right i do i do but i have a big difficulty to just dive into stuff that i find to be boring and it's kind of sometimes you like need a motivator something that will tell you this is actually interesting or just like like a quick summarization of the event so that you yourself can go and dive into things deeper because there's a lot of details that are just closed over here but you get the full context of everything and it's amazing that he don't he did all of this to make a video that in my opinion is concise it's a lot but it's good it's bloody good well done mate this uh this like subscribe oh he also has a one on the history of japan well that may also be warranting another watch but guys for this video though uh i think it's been way over the mark of the video itself but it hopefully i provided you some uh i i i say so some good some good contextual wow i'm just doing some uh word gymnastic right now i just end the video after all hopefully this was informative for you
