Photo Editing is now Ridiculously EASY with Canva AI

wait that means we don't need to use Photoshop anymore and that I can edit photos with just a couple of clicks saving money and time I like that I was able to change my hairstyle change objects change locations and remove people from my photos using the new canva AI tools it is insane how easy it is to edit photos nowadays by the end of this video you'll be able to edit photos like a pro even if you are a beginner so if you guys are interested in this tutorial let's go to my computer let's go to canva.com and create a new document I'm gonna go to social media and create an Instagram post you just simply need to click on create blank and canva will open the editor before we start I just want to mention that we're gonna use two new features in canva one that is called Magic edit and this one is a free feature that any canva user can have access to the second feature that we're gonna use is Magic Eraser and this one is available only for canva pro users this means the canva paid users now let's talk about magic edit something very important to have into consideration right now is that we're gonna be using a beta version of this feature and we have some limitations like for example that you can only use magic edit up to 25 times per day now that we know the most important limitation that I find related the magic edit let's start with how to use these tools and at the same time I will give you five ideas on how to use these features foreign canva is that you can change your hairstyle so I have a pretty common selfie right here I just need to select the photo and then go to edit photo on the toolbar from here we have access to the Magic Eraser and Magic edit these two features are available in the new canva editor so you would like to make sure that you are using the new editor this one will come by default but if you changed to the old experience remember to switch back and come back to the new editor let's go to magic edit remember this is a beta version and it is free to use now I just simply need to brush over the image where I want the image to be edit so I will brush my hair foreign once you have the area you want to edit selected click continue and in this box you want to type whatever you want to generate in the brushed area in my case I want to see how do I look with a blue and purple hairstyle so let's type blue and purple hair we're going to click on generate and wait for combat to do its magic pay attention because we have four different options we are seeing the first option that we see right here and then if you click on any of these other thumbnails you will see different options generated by canva so let me see the second option the third one this one is not quite perfect we see another person right here so that's kind of creepy and this one we don't have enough hair on the top of the head I think this one is the most addition of all options but I'm gonna change it and I'm gonna generate new results to see if we find something better okay I see a more realistic option here I think this one looks natural if I were to look this photo really quick I think I would believe this is real so let me see the other options to see what canva created for me okay not bad not bad I like it okay this one is not I don't really like the hairstyle but what about this one this one and this one which one do you prefer number one number two or number three I think I'm gonna go for option number one I think is the one that I see it looks more realistic if you still don't like what you see simply generate new results but if you found something that you like click done and now we have our edited photo in your canva design now let's see the before and the after what do you think about this photo editing I think this is pretty pretty decent and I guess and this feature is also pretty useful if you are thinking about changing your hairstyle or your hair color I know that a lot of people like to change the hairstyle but they are scared because they don't know they cannot imagine how they will look like so I think this is a great idea idea to change your hairstyle or your color and see if you like it or not before doing any changes to your hair let's continue with the same idea on changing things on our photos but this time instead of changing a hairstyle let's go and change an element I'm Gonna Leave This photo on the left hand side as reference so we can see the before and let's work with the photo that we see on the right hand side so I need to select my photo then go to edit photo magic edit and instead of holding this big strawberry I want to hold a tiny jug so I just need to brush my strawberry so it doesn't appear on my photo anymore remember that you can adjust the brush size and I do recommend you do it if you want to be precise with your photo editing now hit continue and now describe whatever you want to replace this element with so I'm gonna type a baby chihuahua and let's see what canva generates for me okay so I think we have two different versions of this same dog kind of and two versions of another dog so I'm not pretty convinced about these four options they are onto something but I'm not quite there yet so let's go and generate new results this one is looking cute but there is something here on the side of the dog that I'm not really liking let's see this one this one is cute but I don't know what is happening over here it's it's wearing a dress or something this one is cute but it seems as if I had another finger an extra finger right here and lastly let's see this one let's generate another one one more time and see what happens let me quickly show you the four different options I think I'm gonna choose one of these four I'm in between this one this little guy and this one I think Kanda was trying to take some elements or some features of the strawberry and that's why it is giving me this red dress dresses on the dogs that's what I am trying to understand because it is giving me a lot of red some green in here here we also have red clothes on the dog and the dog is kind of pink so I think it has something to do with it and I'm going with this one it's a tiny dog and we could think that this is kind of like a custom or a special dress for a baby Shiva let's stay with this option and select done so I can show you some other ideas on how to use these tools but before let me show you the before and after and if you pay close attention this shape of the dog has the same shape of the strawberry and the color of the costume it matches the strawberries so I think the artificial intelligence was trying to take some elements or some features of this element and applying it to this new version of the photo now let's add things to your photos let's say that I want to add a hat so I also have a hat in this photo and I kind of match Ronnie so I'm Gonna Leave This photo for reference and I'm gonna work with the second one let's go to edit photo magic edits I'm gonna brush the area where I want the hat to be so let's put it somewhere here and then continue I want to add a hat to my head so I just simply right hat generate and see what happens I don't know why canva decided to give me flowers this one doesn't look bad but it's not what I'm looking for this is nothing this one is nothing so let's go again to generate new results and let's hope to have a better result this time after a couple of tries I got this image that we see below this one is not bad but as you could see canva was struggling a little bit to find a ride hat or something that looked fine so yeah I think this is why they call it beta because sometimes you tried it on the first time and it works really well but sometimes it struggles these photos you can see it looks fine if you watch this photo quickly you wouldn't even realize this one has been edited so this is good but mentioned it won't always work perfectly now let's use another AI tool in canva called Magic Eraser this one is available only for compact Pro users and if you are a canva free user and would love to try this feature for free we have a 45 day free trial in the description now let's see how this feature works and for this example I want to remove these two persons in my photos so we only see myself walking on the street okay so I'm leaving this photo just for reference here on the left and let's work with this one on the right you select the photo go to edit photo and then select Magic Eraser as I already mentioned this one is a canva pro feature let's go and click on top of the tool and now we just need to brush the area that we want to edit so I'm gonna brush on top of these two people as you can see I already removed one person from the photo and it looks perfect now let's go over this lady right here and see what happens this time this one is a little bit more complicated because we have this stairs right here but as you can see canva did a great job I wouldn't believe if somebody told me that there were two people right here so this feature will help you create the perfect Instagram photo this will help your photos look more aesthetic and of course bring the attention where you want the audience to look at so let's say that you are selling suitcases and you want to use this photo on your website I think this photo right here looks more professional than this one because we don't have these people in the background and we can really focus on the subject another tip that I would like to give you here now that we are talking about photo editing it is that in canva you can also edit the colors in the photo so by having the photo selected go to edit photo and from here you can adjust some settings in the photo so if you want it you can simply select auto adjust and compa will do the magic for you or you can manually adjust all of these settings and see how the photo gets improved instantly here on the design so let me bring brightness a little bit more to the right and this will be the final result foreign photo let me show you how to change the location on your image so we are here Ronnie and me we are on a beach near Barcelona and it is beautiful but I want this photo to look like Thailand so I can do the following we can select the photo go to edit photo this time we're going for the free feature magic edits and then brush this area right here we have some people in the background but this doesn't matter I'm gonna select them here and then click continue and this time I'm gonna type and let's say palm trees and generate we have the four options ready and this is looking great we don't have the people that we had around because I brushed over them and we don't have the city in the background we have some palm trees as I asked canva to create let me see the third and the last option this is actually looking very realistic so let's go with this option I'm gonna click done and then I'm also going to adjust the colors of this photo so it looks warmer so let's go with auto adjust and then I'm gonna increase the temperature in here I'm gonna add more brightness I'm gonna also adjust the whites some of the shadows and then I'm Gonna Leave it right here if you also want to adjust or change the ratio of your photo you can go to crop here we see the effects adjust and crop and then you can either change the size or the ratio of your photo as a free form or you could select any of these aspect ratios that canva provide us in here I'm gonna go for a square format and then I can select the portion of the photo that I want to use in here I'm gonna go with this selection and then click done what do you think about this photo editing we went from going to a beach it was a nice Beach but we were really close to the city and we had some people around two being alone in Paradise I could easily say that we were in Thailand or the Philippines by looking at this photo and it took me just a couple of clicks what do you think about this editing and would you say that we were in Thailand or the Philippines another idea on how to use this AI canva tools is to clean your mess let's say that you need to show a picture of your workspace or you simply want to post something on your social media but you forgot your empty cup of coffee and it doesn't look quite nice let me edit this photo I'm going to select the photo edit photo this time I'm going for magic edit the canva pro feature brush this area and then let's wait for the magic to happen and that's it as you saw it took me just a couple of seconds
