to be naive but i need you to correct me past today but how long was he in that environment a long time before he recognized that this was a problem he once once trump came in office okay and he saw that turn okay so i'm sure he saw some stuff beforehand i know he did and then when he saw that turn that's when he started when trump was running for office that's when he started to kind of vocalize what are y'all doing why are we going this direction right and what direction was that that whole trump wave of um you know how trump talks about race and color and you know the whole division piece and they were looking for trump to be the savior he's like what's wrong with y'all so he tried to stick so trump was actually the manifestation or caused the manifestation of um what had been more subtly or more sophisticatedly apply to the southern baptist convention yeah i mean before it was just like okay we're conservative we're pro-life you know that kind of thing yeah trump comes on the scene and this whole anti-left kind of thing comes out okay and he's just like y'all taking us too far you know so again i'm sure he saw some stuff before yeah like even like beth moore who was uh the lady that was yeah she left southern baptist church because she started speaking out against all the sexual abuse and stuff that was going on okay in the whole trump piece well they vilified her right oh yeah they tried to they tried to but she's her platform's so huge okay they can't touch her okay um because as soon as some of the sbc churches start stop calling her all these other big churches start calling so it's like we actually were calling it before it opened up the profile went up yeah they dropped her so it it actually opened the door for him oh absolutely wow but uh some people said well it's only a reflection of a few in leadership problem is if there's a few in reflection of leadership how many are in the congregation well i think they represent i think that that the quote unquote leadership um the body reflects that you know so so there's a if the there has to be a comfort level yeah with what they're talking about and what the inferences are yeah or you wouldn't want to be there as a faith leader absolutely absolutely this they had their convention last week or was this week the guy that was more of the trumpy old-school southern baptist he just narrowly lost to a new guy that's somewhat progressive really narrowly lost they actually had a fight over this is crazy should they have an independent uh group come in to investigate all these sexual assault claims and the majority of them at one point voted no let's just move on move on but i mean eventually i didn't know it was a big problem until you told me it's all over twitter people talking about it um so this stuff has been going on with the whole southern baptist thing for a long time but part of their doctrine to me is kind of oppressive to females yep it is and they either have to accept that to be in it or not because the the this is not right group is not welcomed at sbc yep yep and some of the females actually go along with it too some women go along with it well i'm let's let's just get a little closer to home in african-american church there are still isolated islands of individuals who believe that women should not be in certain positions in the african-american church and nationally and i remember distinctly when we licensed and ordained sheryl hill i remember the backlash that i got i remember being preached about um on television in philadelphia with uh you know a pastor that's very well known for criticizing everybody yeah i remember getting um prophesied over that i was going to hell for ordaining and licensing a woman i mean it was it was clear and then you know but a lot of guys are not willing to stand up until that our ministry did not care yeah you know we lost relationships for years because of the way people wanted us to treat our females when they invited us to the church i'll never remember those days i'll never forget those days man it was uh and and guys were very very very passionate about their belief you're not bringing them in here they're not gonna sit in my office i mean it was it was some crazy stuff now all of a sudden it's changed well in more recent years and i i wonder i'm being skeptical and i can and i need you to correct at times i wondered whether it was the exodus of the females that caused the change in doctrine because how do you go from don't do this they're not allowed in here i remember it happened to us in new york when we went to new york one time took buses and vans and everything yeah and i got in the office and of course our ministers came in and some of them were female yeah and uh he the pastor told me point blank you know you're lucky i'm letting them sit on the front row i don't allow them in my office i mean like who don't you allow female so i i gathered the ladies together took them out in the hallway i said now look this is up to y'all uh i'm ready to go out here when they asked me to stand up tell everybody let's go home they said don't do that i said do you mind going out and sitting on the front row because my idea is if you all are not invited in i'm not invited either yep and they said no we'll you can't do that you can't you know we don't know three hours to get here we went up and rocked something new york okay and um they said we you know we've ridden three and a half four hours to get here we need to stay you know then we can head back so i looked at the pastor man i called the minister music in i asked the lord to forgive me he said i need you to kill these folks and man and um but they were totally anti everything we stood for females laying on hands speaking in tongues you know anointing healing all that yeah and that whole service went from teaching and preaching to a deliverance service around the altar and the pastor got slain in the spirit and started speaking in tongues so of course we never were invited of course but we weren't going back oh yeah no because you can't invite me to dinner and tell me to keep my children i know that's right that's right it didn't happen but in the african-american context now 20 years ago it was it was more it's relaxed a bit more now but 20 years ago uh in church i came from before i came over to baptist church um women were only allowed to be missionaries yeah they couldn't go any further and this was the the largest pentecostal denomination in the world so i'm you know i'm like wow but but you're right it's the exodus of some of the women especially the teachers and then the other thing is you're seeing these great teachers that can out preach books where they're like okay it's undeniable yeah so now they shifted the goal post from they can't preach to okay the bible says they can preach yeah but they just can't be elders pastors yeah but they're gonna put a ceiling on yeah they are in the fundamentalist american view of scripture fundamentalists for those who that they're hardcore literalists to the point where they don't see nuance of scripture they don't study history culture right it's just this is what the bible says and don't even study what it means yeah so they take the women keep silence in the church you know you know the whole is the minority in the church yeah taking advantage of the faith of the females yep women keep silence because it says it right there yep they don't explain in the context of it nothing women say okay god said it okay but to me it's always been the minority gender in the church using scripture to control the majority absolutely as it relates to the expression of the gifting because some of the women in my mind have more intense gifts than others the one thing i have a problem with and i had a problem with this when i was in in the commercial banking industry i don't think a woman has to duplicate the style of a man to be affected yep so you got a lot of ladies that are really hard hard hard preacher and they they they lose a little bit of identity which i think god gives them to make a difference in their approach so but there's an insecurity that and then it's been built up in the body of christ that if you don't if you're a female you don't preach with this hardness yeah um you're you're not really anointed yeah when in reality we know examples one that i think of all the time is cynthia james yeah absolutely the total opposite of what is customary yeah and just as powerful as anybody ever absolutely this young this young crowd of women coming up they are feminine yeah you know if that's their expression whatever but they're they're breaking that whole i gotta preach like a guy yeah kind of thing i think you lose yourself i i i remember when i was in commercial lending and the ladies were we were in a in a meeting in the office not a formal meeting but information you know around lunch and stuff and they were talking about they weren't getting equal pay and and they wanted to fight for that and i said you know man you know when i say something they say yeah dave you know go ahead i said well you're talking about equal pay but you're walking around here looking as less feminine as possible yep i said i said look at the suits you're wearing look at the way you're wearing your hair you're toning down who you are yeah are you willing to sacrifice who you are for the money man that next two three days it never went back to the old way the pumps came in the heels came in the contoured suits came in i'm like okay okay you know you want equal pay but don't force them to give up your identity awesome yes yes yes let's see who's on the phone got time from hey tom how are you doing man you want to get one y'all welcome to on point man we're doing all right you all right in florida oh love loving the weather but bishop you were talking about the southern baptist convention yes sir from 2006 to date [Music] they're seeing the contradictions and saying look you guys are saying this you guys are clearly wrong and they are they're losing young people like crazy so what are they doing to stop the flop they're trying to appeal to that trump base to keep it oh no yeah yeah so they're doubling down they're doubling some of the old scores are doubling down there's a guy who's the chairman of ronnie floyd that actually made more apologize to trump there's some crazy things that were going on behind the scenes that new york times really brought out made more apologize to trump yeah is that what you said uh ronnie floyd made uh more apologize to saying bad things about trump who's who's ronnie floyd who's that he's one of the top committee chairmen and he said ronnie floyd yeah wow but i know and russell moore is he was the um chair of like the ethics and cultural part of southern baptist church and russell moore caucasian or is the african-american caucasian okay but he left them and he just couldn't take it no more yeah because he was outspoken you know trump actually started tweeting about him yeah why would we why would trump start tweeting about anything that has to do with religion because because southern baptist made him acceptable in his behavior he's spiritually acceptable yeah even the expose i was looking at huh did we lose you todd tom's gone yeah call us back tom we have a call on line two eight six six seven four three eight two six seven eight six six seven four three eight two six seven looks like the weather's gonna hold we're gonna have service this morning that's good it's supposed to rain around three o'clock okay so what he's talking about was the ronnie floyd was the southern baptist executive committee chair okay it was basically saying we got to do everything to preserve our base really yes even if he said even if that leads to criticism from abuse survivors so they were willing to cover like the catholic church they were willing to cover up okay all these pastors raping and assaulting these women to preserve the institution that makes no sense i i mean they didn't even want to look into it to see if it was true or not and all these women are coming out saying this happened this happened well here's remember if they if they thought it was true that's the only thing that would make them want to cover it up they know it's true they they had one youth pastor they said came out sexually assaulted like nine women and some of them were younger girls okay at one church and instead of they basically told the girls don't say nothing keep it to yourself and preserved his job and his career and basically sacrifice the girls now as a parent i know you yeah yeah if our girls were somewhere yeah it would be it'd be better within that church so we're not talking about women of consent we're talking about we're talking children under their care children under their care and even some adult women yeah that were sexually assaulted not consent you mean like raped like raped yes raped or sexually assaulted yeah some over rape some were sexually assaulted you find sexual assault for me well i mean like the um like walking in the church if a man walks up and pats her in the butt i don't know you know yeah consenting like or saying crude inappropriate remarks touching their okay groping okay okay okay i mean i just know i just know us you guys were doing that yes somebody did it to my child it'd be bed them up in that shirt doc i'm just trying to tell you something so so what happens when what happens when the parent comes home and the nine-year-old kid says so-and-so is doing such and such some of the parents and it happens a lot of families sacrifice their children to be a part of what they're part of okay they don't believe him okay just i'm saved but there's going to be a fight who are you telling he's going to be popping i'm going to try to tell you something i'm saying pope bishop somebody but you don't have a problem somebody put their hand on one of my children we got a problem yeah yes wow okay the phones the phones have lit up every time we go a little crazy they like i know i know look you said the other day let's go back to time hey tom yeah sorry got disconnected that's all right man welcome back um just real real quick um let me get off the air um this i was saying went back to falwell new york time is a real good piece yeah on them uh yesterday and uh even the new president uh ed little i think his name are linton is his name linton yeah yeah um they were saying that he's a real right right wing guy but compared to what was there he's moderate so what's that mean so you got you got you got the difference between satan and a demon what is that if you read the times they really go deep deep into what's going on the uh the scandals with the um and why are they jumping on them now that the president's out office why didn't he do this while he was in office i got a problem i got a problem with that why are the times coming out now that trump's not around yeah in the position that he was in why why didn't they do it while he was in office because this is not new no not at all okay uh another another big deal with them is the critical race theory yeah um this guy is entertaining talking about it to a lot of people doing and they don't and they don't want you to mention it exactly which is silly yeah um but but he's entertaining bringing that to the forefront also entertaining bringing um you know the sexual scandal to the forefront so i think his agenda is headed the right direction it's like you you have to vote on do we research these sexual assault claims how do you say no why thank you how do you say no to that because they know the truth they like come on y'all time thank you man hey take care you guys are great all right man thank you for calling back too bye-bye we got danny and then we got dr leela williams from louisiana um we're going to go to danny first i'm from florida hey danny how you doing man good morning bishop good morning pastor nick how you all doing today great doing great man doing great what's up there uh it's it's warm and it looks like it might rain a little bit this afternoon so we actually have florida type weather today [Laughter] since you guys get rain almost every day when you're not in a drought well uh first of all i just want to make this one comment by uh tomorrow being father's day i want to thank you so much you pastor nick and the entire staff uh for being a good representative for all of especially the men going into father's day uh you have uh time and time again ministered preach and you also have taught us what it is to really to be a man not just from the waist down but from the heart out and the head up yeah and it means so much and it makes such a big difference when you understand and about bringing the family together again and that's what's so important and really uh i just want to say thank you to you pastor nate the entire staff appreciate you danny man thank you so much man we're so glad you you've been with us for years and uh i've always looked forward to you all driving up to orlando when i come down there to preach for mark and so it's just uh how's my sister doing she's doing great and being tremendously blessed that's good that's good that's cause she's married to you right i just want you all okay i'm gonna get out of the way uh bishop i just want you to keep an eye on something i keep uh telling you reporting to you okay and so that you can see what's going on in the state you may have not heard but the vice president to the vice president the former vice president who is now he wants to send our state police in whatever county or city police that you can get to go to the border of texas to police the border why trying to appeal to the base that's that's that's all that whole border he really wants to be president or vice president doesn't it i'm telling you i'm telling you bishop i wouldn't be surprised if he tries to run what what what's the guy in texas doing i mean you can he in september you'll be able to carry a gun open without a license open carry anywhere you want no training no nothing you can just carry a gun and he signed it yesterday yep so he thinks that's going to make violence go down thank you or are you now putting guns in the hands of uh people that shouldn't have guns further yep i mean we've got folk in our own communities that don't need to have guns exactly exactly you know let's be real about it and so now you're going to put hands guns in the hands of the criminals and everybody else some crazy some individual that's that's just ridiculously stupid to me it's like okay corral all over but who's he appealing to that whole second amendment right to bear arms and our constitutional rights if i lived in texas i'd move i'm serious man that's that's gonna nothing's good gonna come out of that yeah yeah and these people are stockpiling guns like they're inside so is he removing the requirement to have a license to drive a car of course not but i ain't doing that not not doing that will anybody be able to go in the business without having the license and the other thing can you can you start a business without an inspection and open up a building you got to do all that stuff but a gun that you can kill somebody with and long distance more so than a car yep right you don't need any kind of anything just go down to walmart and bible buy one and it's all right to have and the thing that nobody no one is acknowledging is that all of the gun violence that's going on is ridiculous it's crazy man we're praying for y'all down there man i don't i i've prayed for your governor once or twice i can't i don't i got it i gotta admit i don't pray for him often now just trying to be real about this thing outside out of mind but man you know i got i got friends in florida man yeah good friends in florida all right let's go all right man talk to you i think we got dr lilo on the phone she might have hung up call me back dr leela one eight six six seven four three eight two six seven that's eight six six seven four three eight two six seven this is on point the number one saturday morning christian based call and talk show in america live every saturday morning from 9 a.m to 10 a.m any smart device at david g evans one get us on any smart device worldwide call us toll free worldwide 866 743 743-8267 dr lil if you're still listening please call us back so um juneteenth became a federal holiday okay um very glad to hear it i do not want it to be a bone that we've been thrown that's going to compensate psychologically for anything else and i i just i don't want it to be this gesture that's going to take a place of the brutality the inequity you know or all the justice system reforms i don't want that to happen and i don't want us to think that that is okay yep that's my exact thoughts okay i'm like it's cool you did this but you jumped over everything else that was necessary to make this a national holiday as a token and it was the only thing you could do by executive order so speaking of which stacey abrams plays mansion and the republican party at the same time she supports the bill as manchin has designed it mansion finally it gets a reality check the republicans who have been promising him support on things say we ain't doing it but the republican party also reveals that even with a modified bill by someone they claim to like they have no intention of support yeah so now manchin she played them like like a piece of like a chessboard so mansion now is standing out there with an egg on his face because these are the guys he's saying all these guys will vote for me mcgowan comes along saying none of them voting for you they're not supporting what you just did so now what does he do especially since they've got tapes this week of him having conversations with billionaires talking about how they're going to take care of him after he's out of office okay okay i heard the tapes i didn't see i didn't hear that yes sir yes sir take care of this do this you know i'm condensing the conversation but you know play it our way we'll make sure everything's cool for you when you get out office stacey what they say is everybody's playing uh checkers he's playing chelsea she she is strategic yeah man smart and it i hope she runs for governor again down here she put all their feet to the fire at the same time one gesture i'm supporting that they reacted man yeah they reacted i've never seen mcconnell have a press conference so fast in my life i wonder why and how he has so much power because they they follow him like she and just he says no everybody in that republican side well right now he's capitulating with the leader of their party and no one wants to go against the base yeah now mind you they're only dealing with the base in their local levels because the base nationally is outnumbered by about 10 million votes or more you know so i i this fear is a fear of the immediacy of their positions yeah and their income and i i understand that part of it but i don't understand how you're willing to just make yourself look totally insane to have the people that you have to serve to satisfy this group of people that is an ever-shrinking minority i don't get it absolutely instead of them like southern baptist as you said instead of them progressing and making some changes they're doubling down and it seems like they have no i they have no interest in expanding their base at all it's like they don't care i don't think they think they can at this point i think what's not being said pasadena i don't think southern baptist feels like it can survive with a new paradigm i think they're trying to they're trying to build a log cabin in a neighborhood of luxury homes and and it it just you know it's the house but it ain't the same yeah you know it represents another era of time they they're they're just um and i'm i'm gonna make a call this week to a very good friend of mine who is an african-american southern baptist pastor who has benefited tremendously from their programs done some incredible things and i want to know i'm going to call him first i was i was going to call him on the i said maybe that that's too much i'll call him first try to see if he'll come on and talk to us what it's like to be african-american man in southern memphis okay and maybe one of their most successful because a lot of guys in texas have benefited from south africa yeah yeah that's the thing i i i just wonder why do y'all stay but the money that that support that money man that support is there that money and it it and i get it people say well it's easy just leave but when you have a pat you're a leader of a church pastor of church you have people that have mortgages car notes and stuff you don't make rash no decisions because the collateral will hurt everybody yeah um but i think there is something to were a church at large talking about the whole church in general national church national church but individual churches not being beholden to certain organizations because like he's like we know some stuff before where they didn't like the pastor they took the building yep and then the past is kind of just out there on their own maybe i'm in the ownership like let's own our own thing and i've had conversations with southern baptist pastors who were cast away um was that assemblies of god yep pastors that were cast away just came in took the building said you're out um i've been i've counseled some of these guys and there is this um twisted loyalty or twisted admiration that they have on one hand they say they they hate the way they conduct it on the other hand they love the way they're treating them they hate the organizationally there's some there's some i don't even know if i can call it loyalty there's something else there um but but i've i've counseled pastors like that and they are clearly aware especially african-american pastors in some of these contexts they're clearly aware of the difference that's obvious and not hidden yeah i mean i think some some decided to stay because they are pushing for reform right or pushing forward before i get in the minute they're pushing for reform not just surprised you killed him on air should take a commercial break homicide in the sanctuary some of them are pushing for reform yeah and they're seeing the reform one guy said if this guy linton didn't win he was going to leave because linton's a sign that they're going to start making some progress now he's been for a long time but is he he's been in it for a long time and he's like i think he has a high he has a position in in there but alone are there enough of the people at the top to institute the change that's going to be the dilemma i don't think so yeah i think i think some of them will take the fact okay we got this guy on top he's going to represent some liber some liberation to those that feel captive and we can still operate underneath because for them to have the the the expression of their opinions and their spiritual uh positions during the past four years it just you can't just say turn the page on yeah no you can't you know so so they're going to have to you know they can't just put a guy in there and there not be new agendas and new implementations yep yep because if you've lost two million people in how many years uh and over i think last four four years five years yeah that's a lot of people exiting your denomination i mean their young folk are leaving in mass and this is the thing that and their response to them leaving is what it's a double down it's doubling down i think this is where we've done this a lot we've modeled this a lot around here you've really modeled it in your discussion the church in america the church at large even all over the whole world needs to do a better job at understanding this new group is growing up in an inclusive culture they're growing up with more wide open parameters and our beliefs don't have to change but our languaging of our belief needs to make an adjustment the application because these young folk are like wait a minute my friend over here is gay my friend over here is transgender and you're telling them that god hates them and they're going to hell they're growing up in a normal in a culture of more of an expanse and we need to maintain our beliefs but i think like we always say leave with love we don't agree no but let's leave with love and let's our job is to preach the word and let people do as you say make people the best christian yeah make them the best christian i think i think the the obvious problem is your beliefs don't change mine yes so let's find a way where we can accept each other's belief and decide not to agree on this plain and simple but this this the culture we're in now is that you got to only accept me but you have to agree with what i'm doing so you want me to change who i am so you can say who you want to be and basically change who i am so but why can't two people that are different dwell in the same place right you beat you ibb yeah let's call it a day and let's let's and you know the thing about the fellowship of churches that i like because across the nominations is that we've agreed to agree on jesus as the number one thing yep that is what has caused it to be interdenominational without denominational conflicts yep let's agree on jesus because you know you got a mother's board i don't we fast and pray all night you don't i mean we like all to work and laying hands you don't okay it's fine it's fine but can we agree on christ crucified buried and risen yeah if we can do that everything else is a style issue yep okay we can work through it but this this generation they're not putting up with that there's a group there's it's a different world this group is as at large it's not growing up with that harsh conservative view of life except when it comes to them well certain things yes that when it comes when it comes to what they what they believe oh yeah they want they're very hard on what they did very hard very assertive and actually actually are offended by that same drive yeah when you have with the belief different than that yes yeah i believe people have to dwell together with strong beliefs absolutely and this is what gastroparesis are my nerves about the millennials and gen c group they're just they they take two psychology classes and all of a sudden they're expert and then you know everything is this and they're very strong and i'm like you got a lot of passion but you have no method yeah no life experience to really no understanding yet yeah but i think overall that's what they're saying is the contradictions where you guys will bash somebody from being an lgbtq and then cover up a rapist they're like how do you work i think that is just crazy how do you work that i don't know how you i don't know how you i don't know how you have that imbalance in application of things yep you know we we've always felt as though you know it like when it comes to ministry we haven't cared whether you wear wing tips or pumps can you carry the ball yep take a hit and score the ball can you do that i don't care whether you're wearing stilettos or not yep can you carry the ball can you take a hit yep yep and then where that's where the rubber meets the road and that's where the device most people in let's say they call can't take a hit yep yep absolutely they get hit they quit the game yep yep yep but but it's different it's just i think the languaging overall well i think and it's not that radical it's really not it's jesus really that's all that's really what it is you know he's rather inclusive if you look at what he says i eat with sinners that's what he says yeah why not agree with what they're doing he didn't agree at all let's let's talk he never compromised his holiness but he was always willing to sit down and talk yep let's talk most people don't want to talk to him they don't i still remember to this day one of our members she she's a lesbian she came to me and she said pastor um i i know where the church stands but i know you guys y'all love me you never treat me any different i mean literally she's like she's like i'm fine with it i have my beliefs you have your beliefs on this and she said and i want to get more involved in ministry i'm like cool let's talk yeah but but to me that showed great maturity that she was willing to have the conversation absolutely and say we may disagree on this but she's like i love the church i'm growing i'm being fed and it's cool yeah not you all need to change the but you know hetero people do this yes they come in all the time coming from wherever they can want you to change the whole institution for them and you know people say y'all say i'm og and i you know i go i don't have a filter but i said in each of my new members classes for the last 27 years look if it was so good over there yep why'd you leave absolutely so don't come over here and make this a mini that yup yup come on man we jumping in the fire today oh my goodness it's all your fault too so so republican governors are cutting the stimulus benefits yes now i get why they're doing it mm-hmm i get it i've never seen y y offering signing bonuses to get people to work bishop duncan's dunking donuts duncan don't so what i don't understand why are you protesting when you're using any facility you can use to not go back to work so the government can keep supporting you absolutely so i i i do see one side of this yeah you know there's no way that that you should have to pay at somebody a thousand bucks to come work and make sixteen dollars an hour you should not have to do that yep they um but they're saying i might as well not work yeah that's literally and the bad part is that when they cut this the people that need it control disability stuff gonna be in trouble they're gonna suffer because they still had one job had a job fair i think they were starting off at like 28 dollars an hour 25 an hour okay to do something one person showed up to the job fair one you know what i think though passing there's there this these decisions that are being made are a product of no vision yep uh they're not looking at next week next year to mark they're not looking at this because the stimulus money is going to run out yep and if you are calculating i'm going to hold on to the stimulus money not work and get this they can't save the stimulus money so i'm going to spend this i'm spending it on things every day and some people are spending it on trips and all this other nonsense and coming to the day when i've been saying it for years i know i'm redundant people buy what they want and beg for what they need yep that is a very hard way to live absolutely absolutely because when that's when they stay right and the stimulus money stops then all of a sudden they're going to go for a mad rush to go to work or go get on assistance get assisted yeah and don't you think the government's not keeping record of how long you've been on they can call the stimulus all they want you own assistance you're on welfare mm-hmm yep yep lord how do we get out here this morning so every saturday 866-743-8267-866-743-8267 so the north carolina house will allow right to carry in churches that have service in schools yep now schools you're not supposed to bring a gun into a school but if you're having church but you have a church y'all could bring the gun in on sunday now i get having security in your church yeah i get having arm security in your church you know because we're not without that but does everybody need to carry weapon in church yup members i knew a pastor in colorado open carry yeah and he said it's like normal on a sunday that people walk have their members have their guns all that stuff like that but what makes you when you're getting dressed for church you know i'm old school what makes you i'm getting ready for church i pick out my suit yeah i put my tie and everything on and the last thing i put on is my 45 yep just a regular member not security what is that yeah and honey which which holster do you want this morning i'm color coordinating it now come on man so he's saying that it's hard when those uh students and churches started their security is on higher alert because if everybody's got a gun just about that gun in the building you don't know security is not going to work now the one time it did work okay was when this guy active shooter came into the church okay them chokers pulled out they they went and they shot they went in on it they went on them some ran back to their car came in with the they killed that man right up in that building so i'm like this one time at work who comes to church look i'm not coming to church wondering about who's armed that's come on just crazy and you know you have people that are saved that are not quite balanced thank you so you don't like something i preach and you shoot me right you're right come on now that has happened before or or you well let me put it the way it's going to happen here you don't like something i preach and you attempt to shoot i have to have to mow you down right come on unbelievable one guy in illinois walked up to the pad and had a had a bible in front of his gun right and walked up there and shot him and i guess he didn't have security to pay attention what was going on and killed him right there with the gun behind the bible wow i mean like he shot through his word to get to him insanity wasn't saved for sure so let's switch skills a little bit so houston hospital the place where they're saying everybody can carry a gun all the time all the time right yeah use texas the houston hospital is requiring workers to get the vaccine that makes perfect sense to me in that environment and folk quit because they didn't want it they walked out they took it to court and the court said the hospital has every right to say absolutely you'll have to get a vaccine absolutely absolutely the liability if i'm a nurse bringing covet around a bunch of sick people when they all die the hospital is responsible i'm responsible it just it makes sense to me just they're saying 50 of the workers in health care facilities that's nursing homes are not vaccinated so you you got your great grand mom in there you have workers coming in they could possibly infect her we're now finding out that the delta variant is 10 of all the cases reported in the united states now you know i know we we seem to be prophetic about these types of things but the moment they told me that this ve that this india was having the issue i said to myself whatever's there is here already it's been consistent when they said it was only in china i said it's here already you know and and you know this thing is a virus it's not it's it's it's it's catching planes to get to destination yeah yeah you know it's i i don't understand what this this thing is man we so we got this variant it's blowing up all over the country people that have been fully vaccinated are catching the variant being hospitalized the hospitals are a not asking for a test you have to ask for a test because they want to under report the incidences yep that's what this is all about because if i send you home like a lot of emergency rooms do and i haven't tested you i don't have to report it yeah so that means my numbers are down my hospitalizations are down yep so now we can open back up again because numbers are down but with but there's this there's this um this volcano gaining force beneath the surface and it's called these variants and this delta variant they say it's taking people's sight giving them heart attacks taking away their ability to walk yup yup we're shoving people back together too quickly absolutely but it's bucks over bodies it is people i'm tired of this i gotta live i gotta do okay okay well you gotta live more next year yeah right right that's my point you know i need to live my life now what about five years from now and is is is one year a bad investment for 40 more years it makes no sense to me absolutely unless you don't have much of a life yeah yep yeah literally because of all you live for is just work and take a break tomorrow yeah tomorrow yeah without a vision mm-hmm people says people perish look my kid they don't have vaccines for for my kids my our age so i got we gotta think about them doc i'm wearing my mask everywhere because them i just gave the lecture yesterday keep these people keep these children out of the stores keep them out of the stores because of course the other part of this variant is the younger people the 25s the 20s the 40s or catching this thing is hospitalizing some and it's killing someone yep but i don't think you should have to take something home to grandma before you realize how serious this is absolutely absolutely okay so liberation theology uh generally criticized by people like southern baptists but if you've never been an oppressed person liberation theology is not a revelation that you get with immediacy and passion coming out of the body but you know the um the juneteenth i've been doing the power confession for last couple weeks and it was the confession of those that believed there was something better than slavery that we're enjoying the manifestation of that in our own lives right now absolutely so i was i was really glad to see that juneteenth was made a holiday but to me we are a nation of gestures and of course uh the president you know was wise enough to know that he would have to do it by executive order because there would actually be some people that would vote against it now if i were he i would have taken it and let the republicans vote against it well some did some did but he's got a jacket but it doesn't matter yeah something did it didn't it was over doesn't matter yeah you know he's he can sign him all day yeah you know and and once the federal holiday is put in place does it stay forever or can it be reversed that i don't know i never i've never seen one reversed because i remember when you know we used to have off every president's day you know i love the president lincoln washington i mean all those days we had all yeah yeah and then all of a sudden they said nope we're gonna make president's day yeah then you stopped having six or seven days off and that was all about corporations paying people that are not working yeah yeah i've always known it was just president's day we were off school and all that yeah but it was before that we used to have a couple of presidents yeah yeah yeah we had a co-presidency yeah it was pretty cool um so what do you think is the next move uh let's talk about the next move of god okay five minutes we give a talk about god we got five minutes left he's carrying this carrying this new so i think coming out of the pandemic and i don't think we're out of it yet i think the summer's going to tell whether we're actually emerging or not which is another piece of wisdom that we're practicing here at our ministry you know waiting for this thing to to shake out um i i think what god is doing it's actually strengthening his church how can i say this at times it looks like he's weeding his guard yeah so this season for us is going to be more about productivity coming out of it rather than some of my contemporaries that i've talked to who believe is the gloom and doom of the church in this season but i also understand that this gloom and doom uh vision that some have is directly related to their inability or uh resistance to just morphing their ministries just a little to to access the advantages that are in the season that we're in i i don't know what i think if you spent all of your prayer time hearing from the lord incorrectly and thinking okay it's going to be over by friday it's going to be over by monday it'll be over by september to be able if you spent your time doing that that would give you an excuse to be an active and not do anything to adjust yep god does some of his greatest works in the most challenging seasons i mean it's just scriptural all across all across the board um even when he's weeding and chastising his people he's building he's still building he's doing stuff yeah um from the babylonian exile yep you know all that stuff he's con he never sends us into something without a promise of an end date coming out stronger mercy always receives judgment yes it's there all the time and and i wonder now who has responded to the fact that this season has been designed not to develop you but to get closer to him but many christians i've seen have taken this time to develop their image and not develop the image of him in them yeah yep you know i'm seeing more and more bizarre things online of people that have gotten almost lost in this idolization of themselves [Music] and and when that god actually did this part of the re part of the benefits of this is that we get closer to him yep so we can hear him yeah and promote his agenda which will ultimately bless our agenda yeah but no we're we want him to promote our agenda yeah and think he's going to be blessed by that it's not it's not it's not stopped um but it is with that thing the study they did that was obvious the more selfies a person puts up the more insecure they are absolutely directly tied absolutely because what is yourself we got to do with that absolutely no absolutely absolutely and and i'm seeing the most bizarre pictures attached to something that's supposed to be philosophical yeah and it's really silly yeah and y'all stopped filtering everything jesus what's that mean felt like they filtered their face to kind of oh man they're chiseling everything y'all chiseling everything people going to see you in real life come on now you know you don't look like that like lord have you ever seen it and then i said some of them are single and you're filtering yourself up then you want somebody that you meet to keep it real you're not even keeping it real i'm sorry that just gets on my nerves i want somebody real with me thanks for teaching me what filter is yeah you know why you tell me what what he him meant the other night i almost made a mistake i was going to share it with you man i thought he had written a book i didn't know i thought the name of the book was he him that's his gender identity i didn't know that i almost asked about the book he wrote i noticed that before you when you first i'm like okay he must have written a book but then when he never said anything had been the holy ghost said don't say a word don't say that yeah yeah i did not know what he had that's their that's that's his pronouns yeah i'm real i'm i need a pronoun
