No Work Talk Today | Tuesday, September 7th 2021

[Music] so [Music] oh [Music] so [Music] it is about 5 15 i'm home i actually left school today at before 4 30 and i could have left sooner but i was talking to a couple co-workers um i left a earl well i left earlier because i have to cook tonight and i'm really trying to be better about like leaving work earlier when i know i have to cook because that's a whole process of cooking and cleaning up and feeling like i still have time to like unwind and or do work if i want to um so today is the first day of me making a conscientious heifer to do that i was going to show you what i did in class today but i decided i don't want to talk anything about school today not that school went bad actually it went well as well as can be expected but we're pretty much doing the same thing tomorrow because the lessons are going to roll over tomorrow and so it would have been redundant to share what i did today and then share the same thing tomorrow so i will be sure to show you that and discuss what we've been doing for the past couple days tomorrow i did take some footage of me like prepping some of it i believe but school went well um as far as my mood is concerned i do feel better like work is definitely a distraction and teaching is definitely a distraction and being around the kids is a distraction um my mindset is not exactly where i want it to be right now but it's a work in progress so we are working on that and um that's really it the other thing that happened today which i'm glad i did like i've been listening to the news you know every morning when i get ready and we have a recall election coming up in california in i think a week i want to say it's like september the 14th and it's a very important vote um i'm not necessarily going to say how i'm going to vote but if you've been following me long enough and or follow me on instagram you can probably make some very clear inferences as to whether or not i'm voting yes or no to recall our current governor which is gavin newsom and um i've just been like my ballot like where is my ballot like we are a week out and i have not seen a trace of my ballot and i had been tracking it using this website and it just kept saying that my ballot was in the post office and it's been there since august 17th so i tried calling a number this morning but they weren't open and then luckily as i was driving home i remembered i need to call and see what's up so i called them and i'm glad i did because today was the last day to call and have the ballot sent out to you in time for you to have it for the election so i got that taken care of so that i can do my civic duty because this is an important um election even though it's just like a recall i really feel like given what i've seen occurring in other states uh there's a direction i'm definitely not looking to go into um here in the state of california california is not perfect by any means and it has its issues and it's expensive as i don't know what but there are certain things that make it worth it to me and some of that is just the choices that we make in regards to some things as a collective and that's all i'm going to say about that so um i did that and then i got my clothes ready for tomorrow so again i'm trying to make sure like i get all my summer wears out before it gets cold in california but these are some pants some white lake pants i bought i think these are from now these are from ann taylor loft i bought these uh at the end of the last school year but i just hadn't worn them and i'm gonna wear it with this top that's old from ann taylor loft i'm gonna try out these madewell sandals tomorrow i think they're fine these are the ones that i put on and i felt like my foot was fat but my feet could have been swollen or my feet really are just fat and it's too late for me to return those so we're gonna make it work tomorrow um and i also pulled out my accessories so i don't know if i've shown this before i'm sure i have but like when i iron my clothes and everything i pull out the glasses i clean them any accessories i think i want to wear so as of right now i'm just wearing earrings in this necklace i could get a ring but i'm kind of lazy at the moment and then i swap out my watch band to one that i feel like will match so that's what i'm doing tomorrow in terms of my plan and i might be pulling out a ring because i just realized i didn't put the rings that i was wearing away nor have i put the earrings that i'm wearing away so i'm going to get that stuff out anyway but i am continuing to take care of myself and just kind of minimizing um my interactions or my i don't know my mental space so i vlogged less today just to kind of let myself be so um aside from this i'm going to go downstairs and cook and take riley out before i get started because now i need to start getting them out earlier than what i was before so that we're not walking in the dark and then i need to kind of work on some lesson planning for
