[Music] that's it man game over man it's game over what the are we gonna do now what are we gonna do what's up everybody welcome to brews and board games and today we are gonna be playing nemesis i'm always happy to get this one back out to the table and a lot of you have been requesting it as well so i'm happy to say today is the day we have some stuff that we still need to set up i will put a link in the description in case you want to skip all that setup stuff and so we're just gonna hop in get going the brew that i grabbed this is some black cherry hard seltzer i got a hodgepodge of different stuff over here so we're just gonna chill out uh relax drink some brews play some nemesis probably get smashed and uh yeah man we're just gonna have a good time so let's switch the angle and then we will get right into the game all right so here we go nemesis we're gonna be doing a solo play through and like i said before there are a few things that we still need to set up so again i will put a link in the description in case you want to skip all this stuff so without further ado let's just get started there's a few things that we got to do one we're going to choose our character so we got a deck of cards here we're going to shuffle these up we're going to pick two and then we are going to pick one from those two options so let's just see what we got let's do this one and then this one set these over there so we have the mechanic or the captain i think i think for solo i think i'm going to choose the mechanic the mechanic has some cool things he can uh he's pretty good at like uh malfunctioning tokens and like closed doors he can actually move around some of these uh technical corridors as well so that's pretty cool so we're gonna plea play the mechanic so let's get out all of his cards each character has 10 cards they're kind of the same but they have minor differences as well so we're also going to pick the character board here and so the character board just has some information you can see signal slime some light wounds and a serious wound we have the character portrait right here if you ever were to get a larva like inside of you you would actually put a little larva token on the character we can craft different items throughout the game and then we have some basic actions and careful movement now you'll see here there's a number next to these actions so basically what that means is the way you perform actions in this game is you pay cards so this number one here means if we were to take one of these actions say movement we would actually pay a card into the discard pile from our hand so and that's gonna be one card so that is gonna be our character board now each character also starts with a uh most of the time it's a it's a weapon of some sort and so we have a sawed-off shotgun with two ammo and you can also see here on the character board we have two hand slots one of these with this symbol means it's heavy so it would have to take up an entire hand spot so instead of putting it underneath of that you guys probably wouldn't be able to see that so we're just gonna put it off to the side here and then we also have two other items that we can acquire throughout the game by uh it says uh activate this item in the storage room so if we find the storage room or discard an energy charge to activate this item and we would get a flashlight so we're also gonna put these over here now the game does come with these uh tokens here these little red cubes these are for ammo as well as hit points on the actual aliens uh but like once you start getting a few tokens on the board like next to an alien then you got to move the alien and all the tokens so that starts to become uh you know quite the hassle so we're just going to use dice so i'm going to use it for ammo and the hits on the aliens so we're the salt shotgun starts with two we're just gonna set that right there um the objective so same deal we're gonna shuffle these pick two and then what happens is once the first alien encounter happens we would choose one of these so we're going to shuffle these up i think that's good one and then two set these off to the side and we have no man left behind send the signal and all rooms on the ship must be explored and destination earth the ship must reach earth and these are cool because these are uh special objectives in the solo and co-op so we're gonna set these let's set these over here we also need to do the rooms as you can see on the board there are two different types of rooms uh there's number one and number two all of the number one rooms are going to be played in every single game but there are not enough spots for all the number two rooms so those rooms are going to be slightly different each game so let's shuffle these up and then we will place these get back here yeah man i'm excited i don't win this game much uh especially solo it is quite hard one game i was close and it was i think it was this one of these objectives send the signal and all rooms on the ship must be explored i thought i did it i went i got back to the hibernatorium um but then i realized there was one other room that i did not discover of course right that is definitely the way that i would lose i was close though i was super close so let's set all these rooms here and set this here and one more so let's do the number two rooms shuffle these up yeah but i i love this game i i really do like this game i've been waiting a while to get this game and then they launched another kickstarter i was super excited so i went i pretty much went all in for all the gameplay stuff uh so lockdown is still yet to come really excited about that one as well so let's get let's do another shuffle here okay so let's do room here here here here and here like this so now each room set these off here has an exploration token on it so these are all going to be different these are all pretty much bad except there is one that's it says it's silent which means when you move to that room usually you would have to roll noise um and that can be bad because that's when the aliens can kind of spawn in your location but there is one that says don't roll for noise so we're kind of hoping to get that but most of the time you know it's either going to be like the room's on fire or the room is broken you get slimed which is bad too uh so yeah these are these are mostly bad this is it's kind of a hard game um and you know the cool thing about solo is you don't really have to worry about somebody else possibly stabbing you in the back because this is a semi co-op game which means you're kind of working together but at the end of the day you gotta look out for your own objective and make sure that you survive uh so we're almost finished setting these we gotta do the um engines and we're not gonna shuffle every deck right now we are gonna shuffle those kind of as needed uh just to save on setup time a little bit uh we'll need to set the bag up do the coordinates over here uh we will do the items and i think oh okay let's put you back in oh we need to do the engines i don't know if i already said that uh yeah man but i i really like this game this is uh it's really thematic i mean you actually feel like you know you don't want to necessarily go to that room because you don't know what's going to happen maybe you're slimed maybe you got some serious wounds so you don't want an alien to spawn on you and possibly just wipe you out um so yeah i think that's i think that's everything right that's the exploration tokens okay we still need to do bag development let's do the coordinates quick so as you can see on the bridge right now we have four destinations right now it's set to b so we shuffle these coordinates and we pick a card at random and this is going to be the coordinates uh each it's going to say what each uh letter goes to so like b if we choose a certain card b might actually be going to mars and we need to be going to earth uh one might be deep space stuff like that so let's just choose this one okay set this over here uh let's do intruder weaknesses so basically you can scan objects that you find in the game like eggs in the from the nest uh if you kill an alien you can pick up its corpse and then scan that as well or a uh a dead body you can scan and basically what that does is if we were to scan those those possibly find weaknesses in the intruders allowing us to fight them a little bit easier so we'll put that there we have three weaknesses let's do the engines so we're just gonna shuffle these up um yes and then we'll do the items i think that's let's put our character here i think that's it we have our round marker down here so each round this is going to tick down and once it hits these blue spaces the hibernatorium is going to open but we'll explain all that in just one second i think that's good here um we have the self-destruct timer down here so if this was ever started we only have a certain amount of rounds before it hits this spot and the ship automatically blows up and if it hits these orange spots that means the escape pods automatically open because right now there are two on the board and they are locked we cannot get inside of them then let's do these got the coordinates got the intruder weakness bag development okay we have contamination cards up here serious wound and we'll shuffle like i said once we get to those uh we'll shuffle as needed crafted items so when we find items throughout the game we can actually craft those that we saw on the board from earlier um intruder attack deck so if an intruder were to attack us we flip that deck open and then event card on each round after our turn um and the alien attacks us if there is an alien we are going to draw an event card and it's going to have some sort of negative impact on us let's shuffle our action deck and then bag development and i think we're good yeah that should be good um yeah so right now right off the bat i mean the ship must reach earth that one might be a little easier um send the signal and all rooms on the ship must be explored see because the thing is well let's let's just explain so basically the story of this game is that we woke up in the on this ship in the hibernatorium this blue room right here there's a dead body in here and we don't remember much we kind of have amnesia so we only remember a few things we remember our name we remember there's a bridge and we remember that there are some engine rooms so basically the object of the game is we have to make sure the earth is or the ship is going to earth we have to complete our objective we have to make sure two of the three engines are working and we have to escape so that can either be through escape pods or in the hibernatorium and after that we have to if we have any of these contamination cards basically like an alien might be inside of us we have to scan those cards and if we find one that's infected we have to shuffle our deck again and draw four and if we find any contamination cards even if they're not infected we die so i think this is good for the action deck and then what else bag development so the game also dumps does come with its own bag here but the bag is a little too small and you're gonna start putting more of these tokens in the bag so i'm using actually like a bigger bag this is ale horn if you guys don't know these are like some viking drinking horns uh that my wife got me so this is pretty cool they come in this bag they're really nice so we're just gonna use one of these bags they're a little bit bigger so we're going to place some of these tokens in here we got one blank four uh creepers not creepers larva um one creeper three adults plus one for each player in the game so since there's only one we're gonna put one more and the queen token so we're just gonna shuffle these up quick um and then what else the the intruder board there are five eggs here those represent eggs in the nest if we were to find the nest so let's let's just say one thing right off the bat i do have some of the kickstarter uh exclusive stuff or i don't know if it's exclusive but like the terrain set so there are actually 3d eggs uh they come with some 3d doors as well as 3d escape pods now i didn't paint my stuff yet i am gonna paint my stuff uh i don't paint every game but some games i do and this is one that i really wanna paint so eventually i'm gonna paint it but for now they're not painted so there if we have like maybe some aliens plus some doors if i were to use the egg tokens and the escape pods i feel like that's just going to be a little bit too much gray so for now we're just going to use the escape pods that come in the base game as well as the eggs just to give it a little bit more color so it's not just filled with uh all this gray so let's put these over there and then what else did the bag engines we'll just shuffle these quick and then i think we're basically good to go and then we'll draw our hand and then we'll just we'll just get going so the only difference the the main thing is the solo game works pretty much the exact same way as in multiplayer obviously there's less players there's only one player you so that's why you have the different uh objective cards for solo and co-op but other than that even the turn structure is kind of the same you take two actions and then you would pass now obviously you're not gonna you don't have to pass but that's still important because if there's a fire in a in a room on your second action where you would pass to another player if you end your turn in a room with fire you take a light wound so you still have to apply that in solo you just kinda you gotta keep track of the two actions um but other than that you can still just take actions freely so we did the i think we just did the item not the item uh the green cards um we'll just do these quick and then we'll do the red deck and then i think we're good we'll just get started i'm excited man i'm excited like i said i don't i don't win this game too often we're probably gonna get destroyed but hopefully not um i mean what do you what do you guys think obviously i can't uh in the game i can't see what you're saying but uh what would you guys take which objective i think that'd be uh pretty cool let me know but right off the bat i think the uh the ship must reach earth is gonna be a little bit easier because even if we were to do no man left behind we still have to make sure the ship is going to earth so let's i think we're good i think we are good i did do every deck right we'll just do this one more time just to uh just to make sure so then i think that's good i think that is good okay all right so let's just start so what happens is we have a deck of 10 cards we draw five and we look at these cards i think i only draw drew four okay so here's five so again in addition to these basic actions we can take room actions so the room might have a certain action that we can perform and that's going to require a certain amount of cards for you to discard and we can also take actions on the card themselves so you can see here this is all the cost to perform that action so let's say we want to do pyrotechnics which is going to cost us one card we would play this card putting it into our discard and then choose another card it can be any card and then just pay that one in addition to the pyrotechnics so that's basically the way the game works after you can't do any more actions uh you would pass and then it is time for the uh intruders to go if there are any on the board and then an event phase the round ticks down and then we just draw five and then just go again so that's pretty much it so we have a few things here interruption discard this card to cancel any action performed by another player we're not really gonna have to worry about that because this is a solo game computer skills open or close one door and a corridor connected to the room you're in or if you are in a room with a computer use its room action without paying its cost and that's pretty cool because most of the time the cost of the room is two cars pyrotechnics discard any item to place a fire marker in the room you are in or discard a fire marker from the room you're in so again a lot of these cards have like this dual system so like you could either perform a negative action or a beneficial action and the the reason is because again this is a semi co-op you know you might get to a certain point where you're playing the game and you're like you're leading the other player on to like say you know you act like you're helping them but just at that split second you close the door they're trapped the alien comes in and then kills them and maybe that's one of your objectives so so that's usually the reasoning behind you know a negative or a positive so fast repairs discard a malfunction marker from the room you're in or repair or break the engine in the room you're in okay uh and search reduce the item counter by one draw two item cards of the same color as the room you're in pick one and discard the other to the bottom of the deck okay so let's just get going so so we know we want to get here all right for sure we want to get here because we're going to have to check the coordinates so then that's going to be for both of our objectives so let's just play but maybe we also want to pick up the body because if we ever get to the laboratory maybe we can if we have the body with us we can scan it um so we don't find the laboratory you have to be like oh crap well let's go get the body and then come back so let's do that we're going to play interruption because again we're not going to need that card we're going to pick up the body and that's going to take a hand slot so right now both of our hand slots are full so let's put this over here so we are carrying the body and for our second we are going to let's do computer skills for zero and we are going to move so movement cost us one card we're gonna move to here we're going to flip open the room and we found the shower room so you could take a shower for two and this also means different rooms have different colors so this is a white room which basically means if you were to perform a search you can choose from any of the three decks rooms can also be like a red which you can only find red items yellow and green so so the white room is pretty cool uh and then now this exploration token means there are two items in this room and a door closes behind us now one difference is in solo this number is half rounded up so right now there are going to be one there's going to be one item in there and on the board there's this arrow on all the rooms and there's numbers all around so you would basically just flip this to however many items are in that room and there's gonna be a door that closes behind us put our guy in here and put this exploration token over there and then whenever you move if you don't do a careful movement you roll for noise and we got four so we're gonna place in the fourth for uh number four corridor a noise token and that is this that's the second action so we keep going and i think we're gonna do a search so for uh we're gonna perform this and i think we're going to take which color let's let's take from the green deck all right so we have oh two of the same synthetic food so let's we're just gonna take one the other discards at the bottom of the deck and basically this is a synthetic food one use only draw two action cards from your deck okay and let's just put that over here all right so for our next and then we down tick this to say there are no more items in the room and then so what are we going to do so it's one two to get to here and if i went here it'd be one two three so yeah we're definitely gonna go this way so let's do let's play fast repairs we're going to go here let's look at the room we got the laboratory analyze one object already got the laboratory so for two cards we can analyze one object we already have the body here and i think we're definitely gonna do that and this is a green room so let's see what this is of course but it is not working it's malfunctioning so we place one of these tokens on there so we have to get rid of this token before we can actually use the room and in addition to why this is bad or the fire tokens in general is if there are too many uh malfunction tokens or fire and you're told to place one more the ship either breaks down and it explodes or it explodes just from having too much fire on it so you got to take care of these even if you don't need to use the room you're in you might want to start you know before it gets out of hand so it also says there are three items in this room so there are going to be two because again it's half rounded up put that over there and let's roll for noise let's put a guy in here so four okay place that here in this fourth corridor okay so and of course i actually played the fast repairs which would allow me to discard the malfunction marker but instead i kept pyrotechnics so i guess what we could do is still just go to the uh go to the bridge or we could just stay here because if we go here and we roll a four uh we're gonna have to fight and my luck usually is pretty bad so i could definitely see that happening but hmm let's let's not let's let's just stay here and uh yeah let's just stay here and we'll call that we'll call that a wrap for now so i'm not going to discard pyrotechnics i'm not going to discard it all right so basically the intruders would go but there are no intruders so let's down take this and we go to the event phase so the event we draw an event card and this just means if there were aliens on the board that weren't in your spot if they were any one of these they move into the third corridor wherever they are and we have evacuation pod ejection launch the escape pod token with the lowest number of course so number one it just freaking blows out of there remove this event from the game and reshuffle reshuffle the events deck including the discard pile so this is removed we're gonna throw that over there and we are going to reshuffle i guess we didn't shuffle this anyway but so we'll reshuffle this now and then we have to do the bag development that's pretty cool though i found the laboratory already i'm pretty excited about that so hopefully we can find it in a truer weakness by scanning this and then we'll just drop the carcass down because we will not need it anymore all right so i think that's good let's put that over there all right so now um bag development so let's see we draw one out of here and then see what happens and let's do this one we got a uh larva so that actually just means you place an adult into the bag and that gets removed so okay so now it's our turn again we draw up to five one two three four because we already have one in our hand and let's just go again so we can rest scan all contamination cards not too worried about that one right now pyrotechnics again another search technical corridor so we can use in a room with a technical corridor so any room with like this here so it's gonna allow us to kind of fast travel around the map so that's pretty cool uh ingenuity discard the malfunction marker from a room you're in awesome that is we're gonna use that right now repair or break the engine in the engine room you're in that's gonna be useful and craft an item you can use any yellow item as this okay this is a pretty big card so we are going to play this ingenuity right now discard the malfunction marker from the room you're in boom you go back to the pile and for two we are going to let's get rid of rest and pyrotechnics so we're gonna put that there we are going to analyze the object we're analyzing this and that is going to character corpse reaction to danger okay the value of tokens when checking surprise attack is reduced by one to a minimum of one okay okay that's pretty cool all right that's really gonna come in handy because if an alien spawns it might have a surprise attack all these have a number on the back of them and basically you compare that to how many cards you have in your hand and if they have a higher number they get a surprise attack so now that's reduced by one that's pretty good so now our turn would pass but uh nobody else to pass to and we're not in a room with fire so let's do let's search let's search draw two items here looks like this deck is upside down all right let's draw two so we have uh bandages dress one serious wound or heal all light wounds or med kit dress one serious wound heal one dressed serious wound hmm let's do let's do the bandages yeah we'll do the bandages some bandages we'll put there put this back here i'll reduce this item count to one and then you know what we're just going to move we're just going to move i don't want to stay here the whole time um so there are no exploration tokens in there roll for noise we got two okay so we're gonna place this in two right here we don't have any more cards we have to pass so now it is event phase and all that stuff okay so let's down tick the round marker and let's do the event so the event we have hunt move every adult intruder not in combat to a neighboring room okay uh and then that's it so nothing happens so put that in the discard and we have to do bag development so let's see what we get here okay let's see oh we got another larva okay take that out put an adult in there okay all right now we dropped the five so we only have one here let's shuffle this deck here quick um let's see overall not too uh i mean things are going pretty well but sometimes that happens in this game and then all of a sudden did you start getting all these aliens the queen comes out she's like no not today you know the end you find out all three of the engines are broken um yeah it could be a disaster man um okay so what else we got here and then plus two what i found in this game is sometimes it's easy to lose track of like when you're going around the uh you know the ship and stuff like that like it's easier to forget that you have these quest items so you might just blow past a room or you know it's like maybe i would have forgotten about the laboratory and holding this object there's a lot sometimes to take into account so like especially when you have all the basic actions that you can do actions on your card and actions in the room so let's draw four right because i had one available okay so we have demolition destroy one closed door um technical corridor search rest and another search okay so for a sh for a rest and i guess for a search we're going to check the coordinates so flip this open and we can see here we have earth is on c mars a venus b and deep space d so right now we are going to venus we do not want to do that so let's let's change this that's one of our objectives anyway right so we're going to change this so we got to change it to c so we are also going to spend two let's do demolition and you know what no we're not gonna do demolition we're gonna do search and technical corridors and we are going to change this to see won the thing down already man this game is did i say this game was harder i meant it was easy this game is too easy man huh okay uh with that we are should we pass should we pass i think we're gonna pass we're gonna pass right now uh yeah let's pass we are gonna keep this in our hand so let's do a round there are no aliens uh so let's do the event phase okay so we got flammable compounds place a fire marker in a hibernatorium okay oh no that is on fire and place a fire marker in each neighboring room oh that's if the hybrid hibernatorium is already on fire we would place a fire marker in each neighboring room and a lot of times guys like this is kind of how you can lose easily right like if there's already a fire token in there no big deal right it's one fire token but one two three four if you were to draw this card boom instantly four more fire tokens on there so that means there's five there's already or i should say there's only five six seven eight there's only eight so let's say you had one here and two more and then you got four more put on the board do your the ship's already blowing up because it's on fire so this can really get out of hand easily uh okay so and then but this does say uh fire does not spread through closed doors or technical corridors so it wouldn't have gone here but still still brutal so nothing happens uh bag development and if we get an adult we could see an alien right here and we did get an adult so we got an adult uh so let's see it's a three so that's actually a two so this is the number on the back i was talking about we only have one in our hand so we what happens is we roll for noise so we're gonna put this back in there and we are going to roll for noise so if we get a one two or four we got a one okay so the way that this works here's the first alien the noise tokens in the room you're in adjacent to the room you're in they all go away and you would draw um you draw an alien to come uh to appear all right so let's see and and a doll comes okay so an adult comes onto the board and this adult had oh this adult had two but it's reduced to one because of our weakness so it doesn't get a surprise attack hell yeah hell you all right no surprise attack awesome that is awesome okay that's actually pretty big um motivating you okay so let's let's draw we did the round right one two three four okay okay so now the thing is though since we're in the room with an alien we can either shoot him or try to escape if we escape he's gonna get a surprise attack on us um so i don't really know maybe we should try to shoot him so the sawed-off shotgun unmodified rolls let's look at the die here quick there is a blank this symbol right here means it has to be a larva or a creeper or less so either a creeper or larva in order to do a hit we have another one of those symbols we have an adult so it has to be either an adult or less creeper or uh larva or we have a single hit so it can be uh what is this guys forgot the name of these guys um breeder or a queen uh and this which is two hits that can go to basically anybody same with the uh signal hit so these are single hit these are the best these two uh crosshair symbols right here so our thing says unmodified rolls of one actually count as two okay so we have two chances out of six to roll a double hit but we only have two ammo so that's kind of crappy i guess we try to shoot it cost us one card right i guess we could just pay an interruption card and try to shoot so let's try to shoot uh let's reduce this down to one and let's go baby let's go okay so that actually counts as two hits okay that's pretty good so we're gonna place one of these next to this alien so it has two hits so the way that works is we draw an intruder attack card and this number here in the corner is the alien's life for that shot so what happens though is after that happens you would check this number and it's only a two so we didn't get four so this gets discarded so if we were to shoot them again and get more damage we actually draw another intruder attack card and so the number could be higher or lower so you don't really know what to expect so i say let's just try to shoot again shall we let's do let's do computer skills discard that let's try to shoot again come on come on crap we miss we missed oh there is no zero on this okay so we miss that sucks and we don't have anything that can replenish our ammo right now so we're gonna have to run we are gonna have to run now and that's fine if we take an attack we can we can heal all light wounds so should we go here yeah let's go there so let's do let's play the demolition card for an em for a movement so we're gonna go here they get an attack on us so oh they actually miss because these uh these symbols indicate which aliens were to actually uh attack so we this would be the creeper or the queen so they actually whiff that's actually pretty cool so now we go business as usual so we have the comms room we can send the signal oh and you know what we actually forgot to do something here we have to choose which object objective we want to keep so should we just do the ship must reach earth i mean that's going to be easier right because the other one we got to explore all the rooms and send the signal but the sim the comms room is right here we could send the signal what do you think you guys want to have some fun must reach earth i'm so tempted to leave uh send the signal [Music] it could be hard all right so so here's what i'm thinking because like if we if we do that we'll have to backtrack a lot right so we could go here here walk back to here maybe use that technical corridor card right you know i thought about it we are gonna do the no man left behind you know what we're gonna we're gonna risk it right i think it's i think this is a lot more fun than this one it's a challenge right and i'm always up for a good challenge so we're gonna do no man left behind send a signal and all rooms on the ship must be explored let's do it because we already have we're in the comms room right we already have the destination set to earth and we just gotta check the engines so we're gonna have to do that anyway right so let's just do a little bit more of a challenge to explore all the rooms i think that's gonna be cool all right so we're gonna keep this uh we just got in here uh the exploration token is of course this is malfunctioning i think i'm going to do destination earth okay so it's malfunctioning and there's one item in there uh so one item malfunctioning boom we're in here and roll for noise do it four okay losing track of all these tokens all right so four here um okay check our cards again so we have fast repairs and ingenuity so i think we are going to uh i think yeah let's just oh they both kind of do the same thing right let's just do fast repairs discard a malfunction marker uh from the room you're in and uh place that back there now here's the thing if we stay here there is a chance this alien comes in from the event like i said these uh symbols dictate uh which corridor these aliens move down so if they get a one or a two uh they're gonna come right back at us so but we gotta send the signal now right because we chose this uh this objective so we're gonna keep this in hand okay and we are going to yeah that's gonna be it so this goes to eleven intruders would attack uh but we're not there yet event card okay all right i was checking this quick so the adult moves down corridor four so it says here lurking removed from the board all intruders which are not in a room with a character put their respective tokens into the intruder intruder bag okay he goes back back let's put him back in there and this gets discarded um bag development right let's put this back here okay not the worst not the worst let's mix this up and what do we got here an adult okay all right so an adult so we roll for noise put that back in there so we're trying to avoid a three or four all right so we got uh what is it i forgot exactly what that's called danger i think it might be danger or something like that but basically what that means is you just place a noise token and every corridor adjacent to you that doesn't have noise so we just put one uh noise marker there so not the worst not the worst okay um all right so that was that now it's back to us so we have take one card shuffle these okay so i think the plan right now is to go here and then start making our way down here and then what i'm hoping is since this has a technical corridor and this one does occasionally we start making our way down teleport back here pretty much using the going to the right place the ship basically either explodes or you just die if you were to uh go stay in the ship in the you know the deep sleep the hibernatorium or you could just jettison out boom jettison out the escape pod from uh a that could happen again so that would suck if we if we basically don't worry about those engines and just go to the escape pod and then a card is drawn and go away i think we're dead i think we're dead here all right let's see an adult so when a doll comes they don't have surprise it's three which would have been two anyway but then the doll comes we're not going to be able to defend this they gotta whiff again man this dude this is brutal dude this is brutal because the thing is like i know this like synthetic food draw two action cards from your deck hey dude that that's good right or military drugs discard any number of cards and draw that same number plus one that's good right they only cost one but the thing is they actually cost me two so because of my hand injury so i'm basically for the synthetic food i'm just paying two cards to just get two cards so it's basically the same um oh man i guess i should have done careful movement but here's the thing if i would have done careful movement i would have had to spend two cards right yeah i mean either way like i can't take it back now i think i just lost and that's okay that's okay in games right all right so they don't get it well here's the thing they don't get a surprise attack but here's also the thing um if i run they attack me if i stay here they're still gonna attack me okay i i just have to uh i have to move i have to move so we're gonna play rest to get out of here play rest um and they get a an attack claw attack two light wounds okay that's it claw attack character suffers two light wounds we die it's brutal what was this room fire control system so i guess that was a uh yep that's a level two room well it's a level two room level two lock unlock one escape pod so what that would have meant we would have had to either initiate self-destruct which might not have been the worst thing to unlock the escape pod once it hits here one two three oh that wouldn't have worked that wouldn't work at this point or take the hibernatorium and then we would have had a hope that the engines were working yeah that's uh that's game guys they i mean they killed me anyway right they killed me when i was trying to leave because i took i took a fourth like uh serious wound this one was really brutal this one was really brutal because if i didn't have this one i could have healed or dressed you know the body right and then i could have been taking five uh action cards instead of just four and then it's just like i got i got super bad luck like it's like every time i got to a spot where i was like okay i gotta get out of here right because uh chances are there's gonna be an alien that comes here i got to a new spot an alien spawn there so i couldn't just i couldn't use my stuff to heal it until eventually i did and i had a yeah that's unfortunate that's just how the game goes sometimes though and you know it's a challenging game it is a super challenging game but i like these games sometimes because it's like when you do finally win dude it's so satisfying but yeah man it's like and i love this theme and that's why sometimes dude there's just a lot of stress um i got some bad luck with the uh serious wounds i did no doubt and uh you know again that hatch control or the hatch control system was a level two room dude i completely forgot that i thought it was a level one so it was in the game every single time but you know what i still don't regret my decision to keep the no man left behind it's just how it works out sometimes it's like you win some you lose some um but yeah man i do i do also like the mechanic i think the mechanic has some really good cards that let you and you know what we were out of uh malfunction tokens so even if even if we somehow made it through he whiffed right this alien we got to that room surprise it wasn't the hatch control system so we would have had to figure out we would either had to say okay look here's what we're doing we either have to check the engines to make sure they're working or just go to the hibernatorium sleep and hope that the engines are working um yeah but it was it would have been a rough road ahead and you know what the malfunction markers tokens whatever i do think there was a high chance that another one would have been placed yeah man let's just see the engines one is working damaged working i think i would have said risk it to get go from one two three four five more rooms six seven more rooms dude rolling all that noise just to make sure the engines were working then get back to the hibernatorium we wouldn't have had enough rounds we wouldn't have had enough rounds we were too beat up we had no ammo it was rough that was rough but yeah that's the game i i do really like this game i think it works awesome as a solo game as well as multiplayer i have a blast every single time i play it it's stressful it's really thematic you know it's aliens in a box you know it's like how you would when you watch that movie things go wrong right and that's how this game is you know the ship's breaking down the ship's on fire you got to put out fires you got to run from the aliens maybe you want to beat up the aliens but then you can you got to make sure the ship's going to the right place are the engines working do the queens in here right do you want to destroy the nest that is one thing that i wasn't doing every round but every round uh this fire on the nest would have destroyed an egg so that is one thing that i wasn't doing it really didn't change the game up it would have just meant that there was no more eggs on there and then so let's look at the last one uh cena probably placing noise marker in every corridor connected to a room containing a character with a sly marker okay yeah that wouldn't have been anything i was looking to see if it would have been like place a uh fire or malfunction but yeah guys that's a game i got brutal with some aliens on the board but that's just how it goes yeah i'm trying to just trying to think if there's anything else i want to say i think that's it um i really enjoyed this i want to thank you guys for watching i i do really like nemesis i am going to try to do more playthroughs of nemesis in the future hopefully fingers crossed we can win and zaya as well i really want to do some more uh playthroughs of xayah i love these uh these two games zaya and nemesis really like nemesis and eventually i'm going to do a review of this as well so i do want to thank you guys for
