MONSTER CHANNEL CATFISH!!! {Catch Clean Cook} Cooking for a Meet n' Greet

yo what's up happy people i'm robert herrington this is deer meat for dinner and we are in coleman alabama been up here with my buddy dennis wilborn we've been setting coyote traps and beaver traps all kinds of cool stuff and this evening we have a meet and greet over at his shop we're going to have people come and just say hey and hang out and i was like man i want to cook some fish dennis is like we'll go down to my pond and try to catch some catfish oh hey let's do it so we're going to go in walmart i am going to buy the cheapest fishing poles i can possibly find we're going to get all set up and then we're going to see what works best chicken livers hot dogs or earthworms we're going fishing you're riding shotgun let's go shopping that'll be fun wow [Music] all right y'all so we just got out of our shopping spree let me show you what i got for 24.99 i got this little fishing pole we got some hot dogs we got some night crawlers the hot dogs i think were 2.99 these were 250. it's split shots about a buck i think two dollars for hooks these are little circle hooks i like to use circle hooks because it's going to hook them in the corner of the jaw then for a dollar i got three floats it's all you need to go fishing now if you're new to fishing you might want to get something a little heavier than this you don't have to spend a lot of money but this is going to be a lot of fun mr crappie we're about to get tight [Music] you see my buddy dennis he's been sandbagging he's a sandbagger we come over here to catch beavers and coyotes and he mentions oh yeah i got a little farm pond ain't nobody fishes on it and then we roll up this how many of y'all grew up watching like bill dance on saturday mornings this is the kind of stuff he fished on so thanks for telling me five minutes before we're gonna leave no problem i thought keep the great thing at the end okay hey on our way here we just drove from his shop over here he was he's got all these like 3d leafy suits and camouflage and all kinds of cool stuff at the end of this video we're actually cooking for a bunch of fans we're doing a meet and greet at his store this afternoon please even if you don't it took us a little while to figure out what they're gonna hit look at the hook look where i had him hooked that's just perfection right there y'all go on i can't get it out but guess what that rascal right there's going on ice if you come to the meet and greet tonight this is what you're eating dude here's some skin on that now here's the funny thing we've been fishing for the past 30 minutes and ain't had a bite going on ice hey i don't think you've had a heavy enough test line don't they have a cow fish down in florida that government robert you know that'll be the first fish you ever caught then you actually say it tastes like beef [Music] i just caught my moose over there on one little piece let's see what happens when i put three or four night crawlers out there i'll take it man you got oh little bass hey that's fun yeah daddy that was real fun just not as big as mine there [Music] big or small i catch them all ooh nice bluegill oh you're letting dinner go wilborn we're not on naked and afraid dude this is the pond in jurassic park he was right here are you kidding me i'm looking at my phone trying to figure out who's texting me [Music] what did he eat it's a little worm fighting like i said i can see now while they were breaking off lines [Music] am i gonna have to get in the water and get him out hold on i'm gonna go get him but first i'm re-baiting my hook i just lost my bait you lost that whole piece of bait no i just lost half of it [Music] this little brim stuff uh equipment here catching these 10 plus pounds [Music] you hear that this is a man of a catfish line one more how to feed six people [Music] man y'all i tell you what we come up here the main the number one main reason i came up here was just to spend time with dennis when i was early in the industry i didn't know anyone in the hunting industry dennis introduced me to everybody treated me like his best buddy and now as my channel deer meat for dinner has grown i just wanted to come up here and spend some time with my bud we just want to come out here to this little farm pond spend some time fishing so just to come out here as buddies fishing there's no feeder on this these are just wild catfish that live in this pond and uh it's a great time i encourage all y'all to just get out there take your son or daughter your wife or just a friend and just go fishing because this is where good times are made you don't have to worry about the internet you don't have to worry about politics you just worry about getting a bite that's what it's all about y'all those are some huge channel cats i think watch this y'all so let me let you in on on what's going on here that's dennis wheelborn this is well born outdoors known him all my life no not all my life but long time long time these are all people that enjoy deer meat for dinner i just put a shout out saying hey we're gonna have a little meet and greet they showed up these are who showed up early so we're gonna cook this fish they're gonna be the taste testers how many shows have you all watched where we cook there you go how many times have you said man i'm going to eat that you're doing it tonight now i can promise you i have not cleaned a million catfish not only that that is a two dollar fillet knife that i swung by walmart pick i did not expect to be doing this but we're gonna knock it out anyway um i have an idea that i'm gonna try i have an idea that i'm going to try a lot of times whenever i have a really big fish back home i will break its head and clean them with its head off because see a catfish has such a big head it makes it really difficult to clean him with his head on so we're gonna take that off see how now once i cut her head off she's gonna lay flat and i can flare [Music] is that what it looked like on tv like when you're watching on youtube that's it i'm kind of out of my element here cleaning a catfish but man that came out nice what are you gonna do with the catfish i'm gonna cook it for you what's your favorite fish to catch favorite fish to catch channel catfish because that's the last one i caught i like to catch anything whatever i whatever i have the opportunity to fish for at that moment is what i'm most excited about what was your first video to go viral what what what is it it was the one where the thing was drinking the water the man drinking water that is exactly right how hard was it to clean a gator over the years i've done it quite a bit and i'll be doing a gator video um in just a couple weeks here what is a fish and a place you've never fished but you would love to go do it probably tiger fishing in the congo i would like to go tiger fishing um next summer we want to go to norway have you ever caught a shark oh yeah hey what y'all think about mix that i absolutely love so whenever i'm making my shrimp fritters i use the house autry hush puppy mix so whenever i saw this i thought to myself man this might be really really good so uh we'll put a little a little bit of that in there then we'll take us a handful of fish about how much fish we want to cook dennis you have outdone yourself you're the one doing it how many of y'all are
