midst of the biggest tangle i've ever had in my life this is like the chinese fire drill if i've ever seen i'm almost hog tied by two my mind i cannot believe we just landed them both that's three in the boat baby ladies and gentlemen sometimes you just gotta get it done look at the camera i want a crazy face like not impressed good morning happy people i'm robert herrington this is dear me for dinner and we have ourselves a beautiful day it's crisp it's cool and there's no wind so we're heading to the ocean we're going to go fishing this morning if everything goes right i'm going to show you how to catch my might most importantly i'm going to show you how to find them and then once you find them what to do with them really cool rig and it's coming to you right [Music] now [Music] looking at right there his name is captain butch constable in jupiter florida most people don't realize that that guy is a legend he's been a guide in this area right here since he's 8th grade all he's ever known is fishing he knows these waters of jupiter better than anyone alive that's not hyperbole that is fact look at this dude best bait i've seen in a long time big hayden's look at that nice bait i will take that i don't know what's gonna go wrong today but we're heading for something what's up brother how you doing doing good man how you doing i'm doing good i'm stevo man i watch you all the time that's super cool bro have a wonderful day okay folks here's the deal when the dolphin are biting just snap and anyone can catch them you just go out and fish and you catch them but on days like today when no one's catching them i'm gonna show you a trick to finding them this is a little bait a little chugger head and it's got a strip rigged on it that strip we control this joker all day long it's not gonna wash out it's gonna be there let me show you look how lifelike and realistic this is look at all that wiggle what i'm talking about run that bait out there we're gonna fish four strip baits a three pound mile can eat it and a sixty pound ma you can eat it i'm using 50 pound leader and a long shank hawk we're gonna put out four of them two long and too short this is a beautiful bait right here it's like a pearl i don't know the exact name of it i saw it over at fishing headquarters and was like uh yeah i'm gonna be trying that beautiful looking bait watch this look at that so our spread is out we have two flat lines two long riggers then this is one of my old salty spinning rods i've got a uh a doa casting lure looks like uh whatever little live bait and then i've got another one that's got a j-hook and a 50-pound fluorocarbon leader the reason is if we get hooked up on fish and there's a nice monty swimming around the boat instantly i can grab a live bait throw it to them or use a lure but right now i'm rigged and ready for whatever shows locked in tuna hey that's what we call sushi ladies and gentlemen little football but you know what we're going to ice him down let's see what happens worst case scenario he's dinner here's what's nice that's a strip bait that's our hook just go right in here poke a hole about right there take your little monel go through that hole and then take your monel and it goes through the eye of this hook and back down just like that and that holds the tip of your strip then you just lay your hook on there and it'll show you right where to go right in the center there you go now make sure your bait your hook tucks right up in there just like that and now in literally a few seconds you're back in the game there you go yeah baby i'm talking about nice fish too i'm not sure what it is going to turn that's the fun thing about fishing by yourself i mean i have a cameraman austin's with me and if something really crazy happened he would help but this is about me showing y'all how i do things like by myself making a turn we'll make a oh nice fish nice dolphin nice dumping oh nice dolphin well we're up right there y'all so as you see the boat is trolling down sea which means it's going with the waves and the fish i've got the fish coming right along with us here at the same time these other three rods are still swimming those strips are just fluttering along out there i'm going to slow us down just a little bit more slow the boat down there we go there he comes we're gonna try to keep him over on this left side we've only been fishing maybe 20 minutes [Music] i'm gonna slow us down just a little bit more nice fish sarah and arya and emma are meeting us at dubois park later to have a barbecue and if lord willing we catch this fish that is on the menu that's what i'm talking about perfect that's the strip i was just rigging for y'all hooked right perfect in the corner of the jaw stay there grab this dolphin's tail and put a bend in them like that that's the best way to hold them whammy that's how it works believe it or not we're still fishing three of our four rods as soon as you catch a maya like that you know there's fish in the area so i'm just going to put my gaff up and take some of our live baits here and see what happens that's why it's so important to take your time get good bait before you come out fishing when we came out my main goal was to troll up on my mite well trolling strips is the best way i know to do that we just catch a nice gaffer probably 12 15 pounder now i'm gonna take the live bait that i caught in there and use it you know there's fish in the area see what happens dolphin right here got him on he just ate it nice dolphin there we go nice dolphin we'll see another one there's another one with them right here nice fish we're all kinds of tangled right now i think he ate a couple baits wouldn't you know it it's a nice fish too we got one on right here awesome yeah you're gonna have to put the camera down for a second otherwise we're never gonna that fish has a bait in his mouth he put the camera that fish this this one's on right here hold on yo okay easy now hold your rod tip down and go super light drag these rods are still tangled so i don't know exactly what to do i'm just trying to ease this fish to me this is a really nice mine like 25 pounder where's my gap we got to get this fish quietly hold on this thing is going to go nuts hold on i kind of knew that was gonna happen both fish are still on you're still fighting hold on hold on back up see he gets him come here buddy come on i've still got the fish this fish is on here right here he's right here look at this hey we got a boat no i literally i'm in the midst difference see how see how this one is more pointed and this one is more flat this is a male we refer to them as a bull this is a cow it's a female and maui mahi are one of the few fish in the world that as they get bigger they start out as a female and as they get larger they become a male most fish do exactly the opposite they start out as a male and turn into a female that's your tech tip of the week folks there you go [Music] got a nice ice brine tuna and three mahi that's a win [Music] so here we go y'all check it out that's one of our fish that we got today beautiful bull i had 25 pounder that's another one probably about a i don't know i would say 11 pounder oh hey and that's that's three healthy my mind he is full of like that's what i caught him on that's a big old flying fish what are you kidding me that's a goggle eye that's a ballyhoo this no wonder this fish was so lethargic oh there's a row there you go now we have a swordfish tournament coming up that right there will be an amazing bait then i got the row we can cook them up later also now let's just knock the sides off here as a kid i used to come here all the time with my family like we would constantly have cookouts here to be able to do this with my girls now is really awesome there you go that's enough fish for me and my family right now so i'll throw this back on ice and we'll go cook girls are over there swimming look at that fish just glistening in the sunlight put some everglades on it oh my goodness take your fish and you just lay it right in this aluminum foil just like that we'll do like three pieces take a couple pieces of garlic put in there take some butter [Music] and then close it up you want to make sure there's no holes in this because the fish will will steam in its own juices [Music] in like two minutes i've got this all prepared now our charcoal is already ready to go nice and hot put it right there now i've got the rack up top to start off because i want it to slowly start melting that butter and everything just coming together then to finish it i'll drop that rack down lower and let it really get some some heat what you digging into marshmallow fluff and pineapple [Music] all right so it's been cooking for about 10 minutes now flip it over and that's all she wrote i mean we're gonna take this thing now one one notch down lower that means the heat will will be closer to it it'll start cooking and uh maybe three four minutes we'll be done [Music] and that's about all she wrote doctored up put it on the grill flip it and take it off the good thing about this is if it's really windy really traps the heat inside and it keeps anything like sand from getting on your your food silly goosey this is so cool we were out fishing this morning had a wonderful day came back now we're having a picnic with the girls watching the pelicans destroy the bait we've met a couple of new friends it's just so cool this is really awesome you've got all the fresh garlic the butter and watch how this will just come right apart nice flaky love hey one piece fish come on how are you today i can't complain go say hi hi beautiful we've been out in the ocean fishing today and caught this and we have more in the cooler and if more people want more fish we'll cut more fish and cook more but uh y'all try it i want to see if you like it that's that's fresh monkey that we only caught sorry two hours ago that's what it's all about right there that's nice yes it is where are y'all from trinidad trinidad bahamas you're from the bahamas what part of the palm
