it was a lot of tears and hugs and it was the most i've ever seen all my cast mates cry i'm usually the crier good morning just got to the lot and going through the gate got kind of emotional i just saw one of our producers is here i have a feeling we're gonna have some special visitors today and nothing about this feels real it all feels very very surreal that the next time i drive on this lot will be just for an audition or for another job it's crazy anyway i'm gonna go get a stick up my nose and get tested i'm super dan and i have a crime to report oh gosh i am so sorry i literally just retired this is my retirement cake thank you guys i'm gonna miss this place why are you guys taking me seriously your cape and your tights and your name is super dan and i can kind of see your penis and it's just all a rich tapestry okay by the way the card says one without any blood on it so i think i know what this is which is crazy jacket oh stephanie i don't know she's in her room she's next to me so usually she can hear me you guys oh rosa crying don't know what to do pat pat this feels have a lump in wrong fridge i'm just walking around the microwave saw alexis he's our head of wardrobe gave her a card almost our crane i just feel like it's gonna be like that all day and we're just gonna try to but everyone here needs some instruction on interacting with grown-ups sergeant why am i here i'm always incredibly appropriate in high school i was voted most appropriate ooh self burn those are rare so about to shake the last scene feeling very emotional but one thing that is definitely definitely tempering my emotion is the fact that i am wearing a harness in this last scene and it goes it goes all it goes all the way down it's like a corset situation and then it goes down into the around the crotch to uh hold me up in the ceiling for safety purposes so i feel like that might help get me through without uh sobbing because i'm uncomfortable and that's uh that's how we're gonna do the last scene i'm gonna try to get out of it for the very very last shot and hopefully that happens and then the floodgates will probably open as soon as it comes off i'll probably just sob everyone's hanging out and giving gifts and our director claire got her brilliant friend from my cookie space you can find them on instagram and facebook look at this look at this i might have to show it like the other way because i'm a selfie it's backwards but this new binder smell she made a bunch of brooklyn 99 cookies that look amazing um i don't want to eat it because it's so cute so lots of feels going around today yeah have you ever heard of a guy named bruno rojas yeah big guy in the colombian cartel right he was until he got shot in the chest yesterday by his top lieutenant apparently the bullet went straight through his nipple whoa nature's bull's-eye oh my god i love the way your brain works okay so i filmed my bit in the very last scene which i was thinking is crazy that they scheduled the very last scene of the episode it's the very last thing that we're shooting um which is kind of nice because it's not too emotional and it's pretty easy and um and we all are together in it so which is nice but i got to take this evil thing off so i won't be angry at the world when i say my very last nine-nine which earlier we did a rehearsal of the scene my emotions totally ambushed me and i got really choked up saying nine-nine and started crying um which i did not expect so yeah yeah we just broke for lunch so just have a little bit left to do and we're done i won't just head it up i will head and shoulders it up i will dive in swim around it and just be all together good with it be more articulate when you speak to the children yes sir i will make better mouth it's uh the next day and i thought i'd do a little recap of what the rest of the day was like um so we all came on to set just to do that final piece all of uh terry saying nine nine and all of us saying nine nine back and the director had given terry a note to look at each of one of us before he said nine nine and on the first take terry started tearing up right away and so in my head i was just like oh my god oh my god oh my god this is like i'm gonna lose it and he when he looked at me and just lost it and then he lost it even more i honestly think we only got maybe two takes of where not you know where all of us like kept it together um but there was a lot of tears every take saying that um and then then there was like a little bit of hubbub and people shuffling around and the director shuffling around they were like okay we're we're gonna go one last time and people were talking and andy kind of like got our attention he's like all alright guys like we're about to shoot the last take and everyone got quiet and and uh and then we did it and they said cut cut which they only say when we're moving on normally when we're moving on to something else um so hearing it was like okay they got what they needed they got the scene we are now done and then it was a lot of tears and hugs and it was the most i've ever seen all my cast mates cry i'm usually the crier sometimes stephanie too so yeah so then rick page our our dp made a really lovely speech and then dan came up and made a really incredible speech and apparently i kept making him cry because he called me out in the middle of the speech i was like melissa and i was like what don't look at me then i'm gonna cry if it's gonna make you cry then don't look at me um and then andy made a speech which was super super funny and heartfelt right on brand and um and then you know we all got to hug and say thank yous and goodbye and uh lauren gatt our our camera operator who started out as an assistant in camera and moved her way up to being a camera operator came up to me with like so many tears in her eyes and we've both had two babies during the run of this show and so you know she just is a really special person to me and um it was nice to have that moment and so it was a lot of that a lot of like little final moments with people who have been with the show since season one and um it was it was really perfect and anyway so that's that now i'm going through home stuff and uh organizing um got a framed of my oh this light is so bright okay there we go of my badge from props they also gave me my chair backs from a bunch of seasons which is awesome got cards and and then just like stuff from my dressing room that i guess i'll save for the next job and um yeah i'm i woke up feeling so grateful and sad but also happy and all the things and just i'm so incredibly lucky that this show happened and that this particular group of people came together it's quite extraordinary nine-nine forever
