Malicious Nonsense: The Rise of Skywalker Stream

do they have the moral right to absolutely pervert Lucas's message do they have the right to take myths that have been deeply woven into the fabric of our civilization only to callously pull the threads warping a distorting that very fabric because this is what Star Wars is now according to Disney Star Wars is ultimately about the triumph of sheev Palpatine because Palpatine survived Star Wars is not about heroism Redemption or the triumph of good because that's not the end of the story everything loop did everything Anakin went through was for nothing mere temporary setback and that's what you have that's what you have with this movie hello hello hello everyone and thank you for joining me on this nice this excellent stream or at least we hopefully it's going to be excellent hope you're gonna have a lot of fun because I just saw the rise of Skywalker and this is going to be a little little fun because now we get to go bash the entire Star Wars trilogy and the Star Wars trilogy of Disney on the Disney camp is now complete and which means that there can be no more nonsense from the defenders saying that oh you have to wait to the third film either way to the third film that was a ridiculous by the way that was a ridiculous argument to begin with because there is no way there is no possible way in all the world unless you had some sort of divine entity right things for you a literal I don't know a little amuse from the Greek mythology come in to save your trilogy there is no other way to save it on the third film on third iteration third installment as in how it works because that's not how it works at all a third installment is supposed to be the final test II the final conclusion of all the accumulated power and accumulated story has taken so far you don't get to cheat and just have something save your entire trilogy in the very last installment doesn't work that way it does not work that way you can't have a mediocre or subpar first installment and then still have an overall good trilogy you can do that it's not ideal but it is possible but having a a terrible first one an awful crime against cinema for your second one and then hoping that or your third one will tie everything up and save it by the end is complete nonsense it doesn't work that way it just doesn't okay it doesn't work that way and you people these Disney defenders were foolish in hoping it would having said that I saw a rise of Skywalker and although it's not going to be it's not praised at all really the rights of Skywalker is better than the last Jedi I'll say that it's better than last Jedi although anything everything is better than last Jedi everything anybody ever say no matter how terrible it is is better than the last Jedi because the rise of Skywalker is more in terms of the room it's still terrible it's an awful movie it's get was but it was hilariously bad it was hilariously bad as opposed to the last Jedi which was just not my numbing ly bad last Jedi was tortured at least the lives of Skywalker gave me some amusement or being bad it was at least entertaining ly bad well the last read I really had no entertainment factor whatsoever in fact it was the opposite it was a torture to see the last Jedi and I was really really interested in seeing the rise of Skywalker because people were saying that it is worse than the last Jedi and I had that was baffling to me that was baffling to me it was strange because I had I could not conceive or comprehend anything in this material plane that could be worse than the last Jedi so I was really interested to go see it and it was not as bad as last Jedi I don't think so do not think so those of you were questioning yes I am still making videos I'm sorry I'll have to post about this on my community tab if you want to read through that it's just that I've been going through dr. alpha and trying to finalize the a script by the end of December which is tomorrow that my artists can begin work on the art portion of it because we're trying to fit in everybody who had bought a drawn in tear things like that and try to make sure everyone has a nice place to go like lot to be hilariously bad and sometimes horrifyingly bad Disney Star Wars the G and let's see hey Nathan Teaberry thanks for the five I didn't hate the rise of Skywalker but it made getting Nicholson's add now I can never forgive Disney at least we still have the Mandalorian yes the Mandalorian is I say it's pretty good I mean I'm not gonna it's not great yet it's really entertaining though it's really done it's worked very well and haven't seen no elements of woken us yet which is a very good very good standard because there's so much media out there so much media we are ahead we were being constantly buried under one tidal wave after another of brand new media at every turn YouTube Netflix Disney plus you name it is all sorts of media out there and that's this new media these are still tons and tons and tons of old media to run back to but we don't have to I don't have to settle or woke media my personal rule is if it has anything above 1% woke and that a nutty I'm not consuming it okay it's that it's not gonna happen you you uh even look at becoming woke even think about becoming woke and I will quit your show incredibly fast almost immediately in fact hey relationship you will be dumped immediately 0 to 2 1% woke 1% woke is maybe as most as I'll go maybe maybe 2% if it's really good show but the moment you show more than 2% woke or done I don't have to watch you anymore and mandalorian teams to have no locus in there and I've seen everyone might have a complaint about what's-her-name a bounty or the woods she was a jump troupe or something uh no I don't think she's woke character and she still follows the mandalorian when he comes to ask her for help he doesn't take take man he does not outshine him which is good because it's called the mandalorian and not what's your name so as long as he does not get out shine by her and she doesn't get set in command then it's fine he didn't and upon their first meeting they got into a fight and he didn't beat her but they did end up in a draw standoff which is good I mean it shows that it's called the Worf technique you get to you get someone tough and you introduce you new character by fighting it so we we can immediately see that there's new characters to keep in mind at mando the Mandalorian that we follow is actually a greenhorn he's not Bubba Fett or anything like that he is very skilled us he's really skilled to us but to the two other men DeLoreans he's he's just a newbie pretty much new kid on the block but Ray is still Mary Sue in fact ray has been legitimized by the but as a Mary Sue in right and Skywalker and it was fantastic because what are the main arguments because there's no real argument to defend ray other than one bashing Luke Skywalker and to just saying that now that right Skywalker has cleansed her of this title it hasn't made it worse uh and um at least one virtue being that there used to be fanzines I mean you've seen why are so many should I be characters every Seuss I mentioned this and the original MarySue story was actually published in the fanzine I believe and menagerie about them a thing is Patrick used to accept a lot of fan fiction and they wish to publish them from fans well they came out with some rules okay and one of the rules was that you could not create a character that was some mysterious long-lost sibling of a main character as that was a that was a breeding ground for Mary Sue don't do that that's something you should do and was a rule and guess what they did in Star Wars rains now the grand the granddaughter of Palpatine who thought this was a good idea it is in here's the difference okay here is the difference Darth Vader the the the introduced introduction of Anakin Skywalker being Luke Skywalker's father introduced the idea that Luke Skywalker has the potential he is the force a great maybe a greater potential or anyone else to use the Force he still needed training still needed guidance it wasn't just a UltraGuard to begin with icky I only ever reach that status ever ray however in the instance of Ray even if they were planning to help attain be the mastermind behind all this beat which is obviously was not what it wasn't their plan to begin with it's obvious they didn't didn't set up for anything this kind of plopped him in there and it's very obvious but he watched the movie that Palpatine is just kind of tossed in there at last-minute try to fix things but one raised some long lost granddaughter that apparently he had and who is Palpatine's son or daughter who knows that's that part is never answered what happened you think the literal child of the emperor would be of some importance I mean they at least they mentioned Anakin Skywalker in their very first movie even if they didn't tell you that Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker and also Luke Skywalker's father they at least told you at least mentioned something about Luke's Anakin Skywalker they didn't they don't even know the emperor's child's name I don't even know if wonder which parent was it was it her father was her mother which parent came from the loins of Palpatine as a gross as that is Griz Palatine is pretty gross looking skip over that no no questions answered on that end he's just Ray's just existing she just exists and apparently she was conceived by two people one of which was the emperor civil which is the emperor's offspring which one I don't know never answered apparently the son of one of the most iconic Star Wars characters in the entire franchise and no one cares about this nothing that's not really anything we should but that's not even it that's not even all one of the biggest arguments I've seen from plenty of these defenders was that they use the original MarySue story as some sort of thisis that unless a character follows these exact steps in this really short funny parody Laurie bridge my Paula Smith then ray is not a Mary Sue and the only thing that she didn't actually meet a link right here is you did actually meet or being a Mary Sue was to die heroically at the end of us to sacrifice herself sacrifice herself heroically at the end save her friends as the original Mary Sue did and guess what ray does at the hint of this in this movie it's even worse than that yes ray does die heroically she dies sacrificing herself to kill Emperor Palpatine that's what happens at the end of the movie she dies sacrificing herself to kill Emperor Palpatine dying heroically in the putting the final nail putting that final nail to the solidification of her being a Mary Sue and it wasn't it doesn't even stop there because he dies heroically and then she gets brought back to life because they want to have their cake and eat it too so he wanted to have her both die heroically sacrifice herself and live on to whose SERP the throne of Skywalker's I guess identity theft doesn't really not really a thing over there I really have been in the galaxy far far away because she just just takes Luke Skywalker's name she doesn't just take his name she takes his legacy he takes everything because at the end Emperor Palpatine says he's all the Sith which no-one knows what that means it's just something that he says at the end there's no explanation about it there's no there's no hint as to hey what does he mean by these all the Sith what's going on here there's nothing and then Rey is all the Jedi says she's not just a powerful Jedi she's everyone he's all the power of all the Jedi who ever existed and one person so it doesn't even stop there the insult is not even doesn't even let you do that doesn't even stop there he's not just towering over Luke Skywalker or Anakin Skywalker Darth Vader she's towering over everyone because not only is she all the Jedi somehow because that's a thing that can happen apparently she is all the Jedi and she beats all the Sith apparently because I guess Palpatine became all the system I don't wanna know explains what exactly that means it was it how did she get that he went through and she went through no training until this movie and then she was trained by Leia not Luke Skywalker but Leia also a Leia is this a kind of a shoehorn her being a Jedi Master somehow and then she's so Noble and gallant that she decides to cast off her Jedi are amazing Jedi powers and just become a general in the resistance I don't know how that works exactly but she just genius beats up blue cuz everyone's beating up Luke I mean this there's no digit Abrams did not pull the reins on the destruction of Luke Skywalker they'd the only time we see young Skywalker fight it's when Leia is beating him easily ex Harper thanks for - taking everything and earning nothing the pickle ray exactly he he technically trains they say she trains and then she runs a little bit but the first time we see ray in the movie she's already this guru looking person just hovering several feet in the air my using her mind to move rocks around him as if she has completed her training as if she had trained in the first two movies and then now it doesn't even stop there the yeah but the main thing about this movie is that it has it seems to have lost a lot of the arrogance that existed in the first two movies ray is the poster child for Mary Sue still I mean there's no getting around that try to fix her they make her worse but the thing about this is that they do try to fix a lot of things they do try to fix a lot of things they were in the first movie and you could to see that because the arrogance that literally existed in the first two movies is not really here anymore not really here anymore so they tried to they tried to appeal to all the things that other critics of the criticisms that were taken out on the force awakens and last Jedi and they actually if the other characters some things to do instead of this them being around to tell the audience how awesome ready is a still existence movie like I said it's still pretty terrible a movie every one of the men were the mainstays of a Seow character is that they are just naturally awesome at everything they're essentially Mary Sue's is to begin with as step one create a Mary Sue step to have all the characters constantly and consistently give them a motion of validation that's what ray gets I mean it's pretty it's pretty blatant and apparent because there's one uh there's one instance in the movie one major instance I can remember because all these movies including rise of Skywalker are pretty forgettable if you want to talk about it she probably talked about it as soon as you've as soon as you're done watching the movie well there's an instance where they find this bounty hunter lady that Poe knew the Bounty Hunter lady has actually written pretty well he's not overbearing he actually is a fleshed out character she's not just blatantly awesome he does fall in love with pose she sacrificed his stuff for Pope because at the very end of the day they're still friends but there she is she gets a jump on PO he's obviously not gonna kill him but she has a pistol against his head and she fights Rea which of course she loses Jimmy she's a bounty hunter lady is introduced as a real powerful character she's really skilled in martial arts she's really good at her job but she fights Rea and of course because Ray's Mary Sue ray beats her easily right beats are easily no swear at all and that mind you they for the fighting in the middle of what is pretty much a Gestapo invasion the stormtroopers are all around them in great numbers I guess would evicting people it's like oh so it's almost a scene out of out of Schindler's List and all these builders are just throwing people out of their homes and they had this scuffle right in the middle of all these stormtroopers no one notices that's kind of strange but after she single-handedly easily beats this bounty hunter lady or the said this lady she's fully fully armed but I think you can see her in some of the previews but Rey beats her and this lady who is you know standoffish she's really just one of those no-nonsense ladies she goes I know you don't care but you're awesome something like that see the effect of that she just that's all she says and then the fight is over after rape beats her he comes out and says you're awesome I know you don't care but you just you just awesome it was a facepalm moment and yeah it's it's exactly what they do they have to constantly and consistently give these issued sjw characters ease in PC characters emotional validation which ray constantly gets amazing as a point earlier on when Ray hasn't even done anything and Poe says you are strongest fighter we need you so it's constant emotional validation it doesn't end and the the best thing that this movie did was probably their improvement of hi Lauren now he's not the I mean everything in this movie is pretty terrible as I said not nearly as bad as the last Jedi but it's still pretty terrible but the best thing when the best thing they did was they improved Poe they improved kylo Ren it's however they still gave the big gigantic metaphorical middle finger to Finn he doesn't really do much they don't really flesh him out too much they stopped him from being just comedic effect though he does actually do some important things in the movie but what they did do was they improve kylo Ren he's impaired in fact they proved him so much that I'm almost sad that didn't make him the main character they'll be really interesting if he was a main character especially after they after they pointed out at the very end yeah he's a Skywalker so they focus on Rey in a movie called the rise of Skywalker but they didn't really focus too much on kylo Ren he was not a main character he should have been the main character kylo Ren cheated me in the main character he's they actually made him pretty awesome in this movie I'm real to be speaking awesome he's not I mean in the use the other Disney Star Wars movies as a measure of criteria hello Ren is relatively awesome here we go if you put him have you take him outside the bubble he still falls apart but as compared to arteria set the bar of excellence set by the other Disney movies he's relatively awesome arias thanks for the tent essentially this is just a copy pasted version of darth sidious revival from the EU but a toned down and stupid room technically plagiarism from the old EU and it this Disney does tend to pick and choose don't they and what makes it worse it would've been a little bit better if this was a clone of Palpatine and as far as I know it's not it's not a clone of palpitate because if it were a clone then yeah okay we could to see that Luke Skywalker's journey and Anakin Skywalker's journey actually meant something so this movie doesn't validate everything for the sake of rain the first the first six movies ever stood one through six completely and totally of invalidated and Reyes to come in and say everyday everything because she can succeed where the stupid boys cannot also you know you know what you know how um there's the way she beats Palpatine is not through some sort of epic fight he just puts two lightsabers together and blocks his force lightning back at him that's it and Palpatine again I don't know what he does I don't know what he's doing but again he gets in trouble with his own for society because remember in force in was it I think it was episode three where he keeps he keeps shooting for chelating at mace windu and mace windu is putting it back with his lightsaber same thing happens here and that's exactly how Rey kills him I'm saying and can't ever Palpatine to shut it off is twice now hey this is twice that he's destroyed himself with his own force lightning because he's been firing at people with lightsabers there was no epic fight no no inner unlocking of abilities or new new knowledge that Rey was lacking before and she now has unlocked she can face down this entity this is why by the way you set up this stuff in advance that we can see them fail and then see them grow and then see them succeed at the same in obstacle they didn't do that because they had no idea clearly had no idea that Palpatine was ever going to be in the picture at all it clearly didn't it was obvious because there was no setup because if there had been a setup this would have been a lot better no setup hey just plugged in Palpatine out of nowhere what would the one thing he did write the Palpatine though was kind of how they lit him and her mother show their cinematography is really good on him cuz they they kind of treat him as a monster kinda he only get glimpses of his creepy face every once a while so he's a they put him in front of a strobe light or something that's exactly how you should deepal poutine unfortunately sound a clone if it were a clone then that means the real typo teen would have been head and this this contingency plan that'd be really interesting if it was a clone too because maybe they could turn the clone to the light side who knows you get this the clone would have let us down a road of seeing exploring the character of poverty they didn't do any of that though they didn't do any of that because that have been good writing they'll be interesting writing they didn't do that instead they decided to jump in the real Tompa team and invalidate movies one through six Brian Gagen thanks for the five nerd suit made a video about Rey being a Palpatine long ago but it doesn't lose her journey you never see her struggle with the burden of ei don't it's an excellent point and a very important one too because I think one of the points that the Disney that there is any movie trilogy defenders point out is that maybe Yoda is in lift left to right now and we're not we're not complaining about it no we're not good the reason is because you failed to mention what happens after baby Yoda lists the right now he passes out ray has incredible powers and uses them expertly for the movies 1 & 2 right off the bat but no training she just use them because it's what she is awesome and suffers no feedback if there's no no pay yeah there's no um no payment she has to give there's no there's no exchange hey baby Oda lifts this Bridal thing then passes out ray doesn't have to do that she can lift a million rhinos and she's just fine it lifts half a mountain she's just fine that's the difference one of the major differences here it's so much about this movie I mean there's so much to talk about about this movie cuz well it's not as bad as the last Jedi it still it's still pretty bad but as I said it's more enjoyable because last read I would stop and point out the politics here's his hole though means his whole sections of last should I wear this shove politics in your face this is smeared all over your face like a handful of dung or speaking of dung it comparing one Star Wars Disney movie the other is kind of like trying to compare different shades of brown a different piece of poop it's pretty much like that except the last Jedi is already festering and poisonous and it reeks the worst that's where we are Catherine pick sweet Kapaun hips squeak thanks for the fine people say Anakin is a Sioux but his power led to hubris thus his downfall Rey has never suffered any negative consequences for being powerful ever exactly Oh Anakin Skywalker might be MarySue in the first movie but then it kind of bounces out by a third but he his power kind of did lead in towards the passive path of darkness ray didn't have to suffer anything and they try to mix it up if they're in movie they try to fix that but correct that in the third movie by making her kind of clumsy with the fourth powers all of a sudden which is really jarring because she can control her force powers perfectly right from the movie one and then to have her all of a sudden become all clumsy like mr. Magoo I super gubin with force powers my third one little strange strange doesn't seem right it seems like very obvious now like adding Turner's some piece something that together with duct tape very obvious maybe we can you can see you sure you leaves this was broken and try to fix it isn't seem seamless seems very overt very obvious but a poutine is is every time he's on screen I have to admit it's really entertaining he sees oh he was the best part of the prequels is this he's as an entertaining character but like I said before and have said often enough all the best parts of the rise of Skywalker were because of old Star Wars Lando Calrissian old Star Wars he made the movie great a betaine old Star Wars made the movie great Luke Skywalker coming in being being old Luke Skywalker not the nihilistic weirdo I was on last July but actual and of radiating the the old character of old Luke old Star Wars all the this movie is held together by duct tape and a duct tape he's old Star Wars the only sellable parts of this movie is old Star Wars okay all the new stuff on the new Star Wars stuff that is a festering nonsense disgusting horrible slok that's where it is because new Star Wars or in this movie it can look at this movie and take a look of all the Disney movies new Star Wars is nonsense unless it's the Mandalorian which is a pretty good it's not great yet but I'll compare to this hey my favorite Star Trek series is ds9 DNA and it means one of my favorite shows of all time but Deus 9 even had a wobbly alright first season and then it became great later on so the first season of a show who can have give a little slack to he that's so Mandalorian was good which is promising promising okay so it's not great yet because if you say it's great now it's uh then you're kind of exciting your expectations too high oh you're you're being a little too lenient it's not great yet hey yet it has a potential to become great because it's already good andalorian is probably the best thing our only thing to come out of Disney Star Wars has at least at the very least been acceptable if not better than that fantastic stuff Irie like the Mandalorian especially baby Yoda baby Yoda is really really really cute like he's fantastically cute I don't know what they did now he's you all for cute things but baby Oda is really cute and I realized maybe Oda mandalorian is really cool especially because he's played by Pedro Pascal which is one of my favorite actors and he's the guy who played the Viper and he was throwing his agent Pena from articles is agent whisky from the golden Kingsman the Golden Circle awesome the awesome guy of course he's now in I think he is he's in one of these new woke thank you so maybe it's right which one it was I think it's uh actually no well I think it's work maybe it is I remember the short is Wonder Woman 1984 is that work movie because I think he's a bad guy in that way she's a beggar in that one but back to the rise of Skywalker I can't and one thing I could not believe it was in the movie there's one thing I couldn't believe that was in the movie was Palpatine actually using force lightning zap zap all the other Breville ships in in space I'd read that and I heard that someone even told me who's seen the movie that it was true I still could I believe it I'm sitting there in the movie theater saying all the Takei it's not true there's no way this is no way they're gonna put that in the movie maybe I don't know maybe was a mistake or something maybe they they just took it out or something know how poutine does do he does do that cuz Palpatine is decrepitude he's like if he's falling apart he's dying he's being held together on life support and that's basically it that's basically it he's falling he's falling apart cuz he they don't they don't explain how he survives because if you look at any watch the original movie Darth Vader kind of throws him down what seems to be an endless and endless pit that for some reason is in the Emperor's throne room I don't know what that pit was for but he's gets thrown down that and then he explodes and de for sanity or something explodes that's the end of Palpatine in the original trilogy though how he survives all that it would be pretty interesting to learn but just like who the identity of Alba teens actual direct lineage it doesn't get answered at all nothing this like how Albertine is - suddenly launched a column forced Lightning into the sky we don't get that answered either I mean he got he gets a revived because he's draining the life energy out of Rey and kylo Ren which apparently is another thing you can do now we don't know how he's doing that he doesn't we don't know why exactly that happens to begin with he just can do that now and it's the now that he's revived revitalized by draining the force energy life energy from kylo Ren and Rey he shoots a column of force lightning into the air zapping all the the resistance ships you think there would be a turning point didn't abhi okay here's another instance where we're putting down raising the stakes and people are in fact going to lose I don't like that point in Return of the Jedi where they say where he says that all your maybe people are dying because they can't get past our shields but as soon as Palpatine dies all the ships is come back and Palpatine dies maybe a minute after that happens maybe two minutes not too long after that happens Palpatine gets shredded by his own force lightning again [Laughter] and then if you would think the force lighting that zapped all the ships would have blown out the circuits or something and they would be completely and permanently and movable it had been permanently taken out of action but now as soon as the force lightning goes away they boot right back up and go epic but right back into action and then they win which is another ridiculous because Palpatine apparently sent spent last 30-something years behind the scenes gathering a gigantic cult building what seems to be a flaked of infinite ships right underneath the rebels noses you only ever see we don't ever see the end to the ship the end of the ships like every time we see a camera shot of all the ships are they made you don't see the a we don't really scene into it so I can only guess that Palpatine made literally made infinite ships and have no idea how the resistance ended up winning against infinite ships but they did not even with starships because they still trying to keep true to the anyone can be a hero thing and didn't have a rebel fleet they made it a point to say that this is not a Navy you know these people think whether you did in the end was a kid they got they gathered a bunch of random ships from across the galaxy to come in and battle the fleet Polixenes fleet of infinite ships and these are all star destroyers not only just started stores these are all star destroyers with cannons I could destroy planets which is mind-boggling how are they these people who are disturbed who were defeated no longer have the resources of an empire ISTA and back waters and backwater worlds and backwoods and hiding in the shadows have the technology and research capability of not only creating infinite ships and Manning infinite ships but but applying and attaching each of these ships started a world planet killing cannon what do they even need such a huge Death Star in the first place if you can just mass-produced planet destroyers and you Clark thinks of the five the rise of Skywalker is truncated mess lot threads that make no sense or go nowhere marshal character development game like edge question little little to none all little to no lot exactly exactly how the hell he goes it is a it is a greener game plot and I think it's because I've heard that they did a modular sort of instruction of the movie where they did test screenings and then they just kind of sewed the movie together by what scenes kind of tested highest and it was a it was pretty incredible because every single instance of them going one place index is that we have to find this we have to get to this we have to learn this we have the trends like that it was constant MacGuffin chasing constant MacGuffin chasing is what movie was and there was a stir it sound like oh you know if you better play more to combat its it's done with the same subtlety its and same with the same solid like plot as Mortal Kombat where they just kind of limbs League toss and plot so they string a bunch of fights together [Laughter] it's it was ridiculous and then they have so much to talk about this movie Eve what else what else is there oh and the murder weapon okay so we find out how Rey's parents died and apparently Palpatine sent an assassin to go kill her parents but instead of having a muse you know just a regular dagger Albertine says no you use this dagger dagger that the murder weapon should be able to tell the user exactly where to find me so the dagger is not just a murder weapon it's also a map it's a key well it tells you exactly what part of the Death Star wreckage to go looking through because there's a little thing that comes out of the Sith dagger and if you look through it and you can you can match the Death Star wreckage to this little pullout thing and it's like a protractor looking thing so I guess someone forged the dagger with the exact shape of this Death Star wreckage in mind wouldn't they lead someone that location which was interesting why why why would you do that so the assassin would say no I'm gonna use my regular life and Palpatine says no use this knife because one day this knife will be used as lot enhancement for a movie and so that's the only thing that that dagger was a big deus ex machina they would not be able to do too much that dagger having writing all over it I mean at least ax and Game of Thrones when they had that dagger of obviously pointing to Tyrion at least it was a trick this isn't this is played straightforward the assassin just used a dagger to murder Rey's parents and he was after array he was trying to kill ray or something well she wasn't there they had sent her away left her behind and then Palpatine's son and/or daughter just dies unceremoniously almost off screen and it's there it's not even pointed to that the fact that there but one of those people was either Palpatine son or Papa deeds otters never really focused on or mentioned it's just implied because those are ratings parents ray is the granddaughter of Palpatine and so presumably one of those is Palpatine's offspring but we don't really explore that Oh as here why sensei as his name Scottie 100's is near Oh oh gee name is OG this asking guy's name is hoping hoping um this is not gonna be the end of Star Wars but I'm hoping it is it's they're probably going to make a whole new trip actually they've been stepping away elegies I think they said something about stepping away from trilogies because they were stuck doing trilogies no they weren't stuck doing trilogies in his second doing trilogy in movies characters and everything oh yeah this was this was this movie was modular it was easily sewn together it was sewn together and sewn together wrong the best part is movie though and what makes it gives it some points in the next corner is that it did up jabs at vying Johnson I should I which is amazing fantastic I really like the fact that Ray does try to throw away Luke's flash Anakin's lightsaber and then Luke catches it as a force ghost which was that was that part was terrible but the fact that Luke Skywalker says you shouldn't treat Jedi's weapon like that another jab against Ryan Johnson and his abysmal I said I was great however I did Lidda fie the idiocy that alas said I did with the force goes where they can now have manipulate the real world and again I said this before why when I just become a force ghost to begin with why not just get to the part you know just increase your knowledge and the force high enough and strong enough that you know you could become a force ghost and then kill yourself then become a force ghost because apparently you can still wield lightsabers you can cast lightning down on on uh on trees you can still do pretty much everything you can do when you're alive except now you are invincible and immortal so what why not just become a force ghost you might as well [Laughter] and oh the space Skype space Skype thing another thing we're Brahe in kylo Ren just talked to each other because they can't they can't be bothered putting Tring scenes together so they can actually meet face to face they just become they just talk to each other the save time they they went to extreme with this one with that in this movie stream isn't Ryan Johnson gonna still be open odd he said that it was mentioned and but Disney has not gotten back to him so hopefully that is going to be true he's not going to die have I a to that take the risk on him anymore because he's awful at everything and they he said he expressed interest in doing him andalorian episode in season 2 hopefully he gets rejected on that one for teens death was stupid yes it was he was well it was it it would be on stupid it was ridiculous no no purpose to being there it was dumb to begin with because it's kind of shoot or she would horn him in there because it needed a bad guy for the final movie is there was no build-up to Palpatine he's just kind of in there and it shows up and last movie already awesome and stuff everybody has his gigantic cult which never gets explained and they don't even explain the reason why he has what looks like to be infinite ships where they get their materials all that stuff this wasn't even this was a factor in the first I was moving a new hope it was a plot factor they needed they can't this superweapons can to show up it has have infinite people where's the reason why the rebels took chances because the Deathstar don't need it time to be fully operational it took him the even a new hope from movie one I was took took into consideration the fact that these gigantic super weapons and ships he did time to not only construct but to complete and there's super weapons many times who finish and to be tested all that stuff so that stuff was there that's that sort of thing was our Star Wars it is have things exist during the the need for materials and manpower and money but somehow first-order not only kiss built a Starkiller base but built an entire fleet and had been abducting children for years and then Palpatine had been sitting in the background building a state of infinite ships each one instructed with a planet destroyer what was the what was the Republic doing this whole time were they disturbed it is this rebuild the Republic and then immediately fall into corruption Palpatine just flip the Senators a few 50s and that's it it's looked the other way and this movie was so bad I think most of the bad stuff about it having to come off the tails Helen of the last Jedi and the force awakens Neven startings is five horse clones are unstable EU Star Wars has profited in processing they should have should have combined they almost did that was a no in fact I was kind of Palpatine's plan Alba teens plan was to have ray kill him and then his spirit would pass into ray somehow that was not really explained too much at all either but Palpatine told plan was to have ray come down and kill him and then his spirit would pass it to her they know how that works but his whole plan was to have Ray and hello Ren kind of both sit on the throne of the Empire as here's your throw in my queen so even you know poutine is kneeling torta ray and going against his very nature as a character to have races on the throne when what what part of poverty would ever make you think that he would make any moves that would put anyone else in power why would he work to put someone else in power until character is gaining more and more power that be politically or through the force more than two Z's it's not that the movie was bad it was a bombshell that tried to patch the pity with more stability exactly that's what most of this movie seemed to be doing as it went along was that the rise of Skywalker seemed to be playing the studs repairman trying to clean up the mess left over by the first two movies especially the last Jedi it was just most of it was just trying to repair everything that had gone wrong we're gonna clean up all the messes that had gone wrong David Trey Davis give their powers of joy dilation that Luke and I they should have do that too then they would I mean they they keep passing over Luke Skywalker pouring in the importance of the end so by all means I'd say we should be calling out to someone else at Walker family force awakens and by all means all the Jedi if the all of the Jedi could come together and just I guess inject their power into a single Jedi you think could be Luke Skywalker and he's earned it wait he's kind of grown up they made in order to help excuse why rays are powerful they made some made up something completely new called a dyad in the force this is something new this is another product of them elevating the force - he a god a god-like entity instead of just a force a the you know the sea the Seas and the oceans don't have master plans it just exists and you can manipulate the fourth you can manipulate the seas weather can manipulate the seas okay it's there's no smart brain at the middle of the sea so there's no and there's no smart brain in the middle of the forest but the dyad is you know it's gonna be a force a force of scorn is going to just produce things at the dyad they they can excuse why ray is so powerful because someone's errantly said hey JJ Abrams mr. Abrams just because she's a granddaughter polity and does not mean it can be a lot like for movie one then JJ Abrams probably said something along the lines of oh oops we need to fix that I don't know she and color in our diet in the for has Walker was the son of Darth Vader Donita training Anakin Skywalker was the son of Shmi and the literal force still needed training so there's no reason why ray could just step out learn what the force is and become a god-like entity from movie one able to dominate minds on a whim from movie one though the so JJ Abrams apparently said oh well that's a mistake they okay she's he's Palpatine's granddaughter and she's part of a dyad in the for which is not explained either it is something they drop so you can assume that's the reason why she's so powerful never nothing to explain okay don't be going to this movie wanting explanations don't don't expect any explanations this movie spit spends all this time and so much time trying to pick up the slack and trying to fix the horrific mistakes made by the last Jedi that they have no room to explain anything so this is the epitome or one of the epitome of don't ask questions this consume and get excited so the last trade I was able you they wanted you to turn your brain off for the last Jedi so you can enjoy it but you couldn't because it like I said before it's smeared politics in your face a hand full of poop but the rise of Skywalker doesn't really have that you can turn your brain off and enjoy it you shouldn't have to but if you wanted to just enjoy the film you pretty much can if you don't ask any questions is what Disney wants you to do so even though it's a small metric a small virtue it does have that over Elijah it is at least enjoyable if you switch off your brain and your humanity that cat thinks of the five was recently reading aftermath republic basically decided to follow mon mothma we had or weariness it decided to disband the army out of mused that's a really dumb decision why would you disband the army oh it's all monmouth miss fault so let me get this straight mom mon mothma ran the Republic into the ground because ran the Republic and let all kinds of first orders are kilobases in fleets of infinite ships be built in the background layer Ghana led the resistance in the ground by KO by the led by the time the last Road I ended it was apparently a just a handful of people and old Oh destroy the last bit a fleet by putting forth a plan that ended up destroying most of if they want the force to be female maybe they should have all their leaders the female leaders they put in charge of their public and the resistance actually be competent in some way is every time you see anyone do anything in leadership it's always because they're in combat it's always a an example of extreme incompetence auditor was there any anything the movie did right pretty much in to what it did right was actually play the old Star Wars characters like they should have been played except maybe for Leia I think they kind of speaking of layer layer dyes in this one and she doesn't even have the courtesy of doing anything she she just dies and the her death is felt by kylo Ren and that allows way to put Skylar in such a state of shock that that allows ray to kill him and that will stab him with lightsaber then she heals him and she heals him but you know Han Solo died at the hands of his son the battle the battling his way inside Starkiller base skywalker died stupidly but he died saving everyone in last Jedi and but Leia he just kind of dies just goes to a bed out of nowhere eyes down eyes that's it no no heroic death you just use fades off into nothingness this movies really terrible it's not good that's terrible that should I give him the choice I would watch this movie over the last should I any day but it's still really bad so many plot holes and it explained nothing it's just you have to accept everything they tell you just close your eyes eat it don't ask any questions and the cut it almost works sometimes Palpatine would work best in this movie if he was kind of like a vision I didn't really see doesn't really feel real because I do make him look creepy they aim to make him I do flashlights on his face make him look a monster but he doesn't really feel feel he feels like the way that we tray him it feels more like a a bad memory like a vision like a manifestation of all the negative thoughts maybe he doesn't really exist maybe here maybe he's just you know like the ghost of Star Wars past basically he could have been no one else sees him except for kylo Ren and Rey so he could have been something else could have been like a Spectre watching over you know looming in he doesn't actually exist that would be better and if you want to pretend that's the case you kind of can because no one else faces Albertine you never really show up anywhere else that's it that's all the only people who see him are ray and I believe kylo Ren I think it's that's it open the space skype thing it's taken to an extreme in this one you mention this earlier it is taken to an extreme and that at least the last time in the last Jedi they just used to talk to each other it was dumb like how a cell phones kind of ruin things movies because now you can just ask why did they just use a cell phone but now that cell phones are typically in Star Wars and it's Mary Sue Ray who kind of rates it thousands of years of masters and of them knew how to do this but Ray comes in you can now space Skype but going beyond that in the last radar they this you just kind of to talk maybe to kind of force touch hands or something but in this one they can actually take things from each other so hello Ren a ray and her friends kind of ape to planet Church of something cuz there was in search of something it's always MacGuffin chasing that's all this is video game plot Oh a MacGuffin chasing they get to this other planet and its local puts beads around raised necks I guess it's alien Mardi Gras and then I Lorraine initiates face Skype and he can't reject these things kind of have to talk to him and he'd snatches the necklace off of her her neck and he gets the necklace so he somehow who the power of the force somehow the necklace and then tears it off her neck and it teleports countless light-years away into his hands and then if that wasn't that enough they use a necklace to find out where she is and that is horrible as lazy desperate I think this lazy writing as desperate writing that is horrible stuff I've literally rosemont rolled my eyes and I muttered [ __ ] that's [ __ ] is that's what it is it's [ __ ] was it was it was laughably bad was laughably bad so now that he managed managed to do that and I know where ray was he goes over there and then the next time I do that they use for space Skype ray takes out a lightsaber puts it behind her back and use a space guy up to teleport that lightsaber to kylo Ren who's at that point a good guy and fighting off all the Knights of Ren but they did with kylo Ren and this was kind of in there before he turned good I mean all the bad guy stuff kylo Ren does this doesn't this movie his stuff he should have been doing in the first movie they made him more ominous they made somehow they made Rey we know kylo Ren more ominous made him feel like a threat in this movie in which which he should have been in the first movie now this uh this looming threat this powerful force is almost unstoppable force and then that's why he should have won and then in the first movie and then the third movie redemption would have been far better far better you dile what did you think of lucan last Jedi terrible I think I like him I know I know what I know what the earth they were trying to go but they did it terribly because it wasn't done with humility it wasn't done to tell a story it was mainly done of arrogance someone Brian Johnson being trying to be too clever for his own good Ian Bari hey thanks for the five Happy New Year little hat glad you saw and hook an abortion of the film we didn't have to oh no problem at all I will suffer for the rest of you but you did not have to and by the way speaking on that I went on a Saturday night to watch a Star Wars movie the theater was practically empty I was practically empty there's only a few seats taken it was at least 75 I would say 75% empty on a Saturday night now looking good Disney you have lost the faith of the consumer let's see I trade Davis if you had to rewrite Rey how would you write her I wouldn't I would take her out but if I had to rewrite her specifically uh she was a writer more like she was portrayed in the writing Skywalker was way better here and she made some mistakes and she actually I'd have paid for a form of some of her powers a little bit although she didn't pay fully because one of the big mistakes she makes is trying to use her force powers to bring back a transport ship and the transport ship has Chewbacca on it presumably and Heller ran into fears and then she shoots force lightning out of her hands and blows up the ship at that point we think Chewbacca is dead then about five minutes later we learned he's not dead have been killed she have died it thinks at raise hands even though that would be a huge insult but story wise and plot wise own better because now we see that Rey is actually paying a price for all these amazing powers it still wouldn't have been they still would have made up for everything but it wouldn't something would have been at least something bucket isn't an update actually lives the entire movie the board enthusiasts but hearing you curse and I don't do it often but this movie deserved it [Laughter] I couldn't help it as it was it was terrible what do they do this is desperate lazy lazy desperate writing and I actually would suggest if you want to have some interesting fun and see this movie somehow it's a it's interesting and how bad it is I'm not allowed unlike last should I it's it's not it's less of an offensive reek and more of a arc like an interesting entertaining trainwreck really really bad it's really really insulting I mean it's not as insulting as it's not really on that insulting at all only on some parts who did lash a day was this almost 100 percent 110 percent insulted middle fingers towards fanbase right the Skywalker tries to repair all that tries to deliver some mayor co+ to the fan base still did terrible job they'll did a terrible terrible job but I could see that the effort was made at their trying and I said before the arrogance has deflated from these movies and JJ Abrams is how was he tried to fix a lot of things I'll let cuz they gave a lot more screen time lot more important roles towards the side care because like oh and and fin I had more time they had more development lando calrissian had more time and more development he's a little bit of time but they he was played with with such effectiveness and the stuff he did was done so effectively that I think it was done he was treated better than Han Solo was as he actually remained in character as Han Solo became more of like a Marvel goofball Marvel s goofball you little jars dude I can't believe they didn't they don't explain how to box are they new lightning and they don't he just uses force lightning I guess you put some points in there on accident also the whole Chewbacca survives that incident is bash it's complete trash because they had one they had one transport on screen which is why it was really really a big deal when we saw that transport them up as a huge deal if you only saw one transport and then they they come back and say oh but there was another transport that we never got to see that was never really introduced but Chewbacca was on that one though he's our live come on he says and this is the same exact mentality we sees with the film there's no nothing's real there's no real consequences to anything if it goes bad it can be undone if something is wrong it could be corrected Nick has made it gets corrected later on yeah Chewbacca's death corrected he's alive now ray accidentally he's showing a friend because she lets her emotions go that's her bad because he's alive dying at the end heroically yeah she dies but she gets brought back to life ray accidentally eating a she's coming to a bout of anger and stabbing kylo Ren well she can force heal now and force heal him back the way he was and hello I mean there's one thing that gives kylo Ren that they probably wanted to give Rey was the fact that kylo Ren can bring me back to life Anakin Skywalker completely meaningless making him look like a complete failure because Anakin Skywalker according to the vehicle silly the prequel series his whole thing was he wanted to know how to bring people back to life hella renders kind of apparently learns how to do that in a few minutes and brings ray back to life though Ray's Mary Sue powers kind of goes from her into kylo Ren they can perform a miracle that Darth Vader sacrificed his entire future for and still never learned so you can learn that in a few minutes like for the sole purpose of being able to bring ray back to life how more how much more MarySue can you get the laws of Star Wars the laws of the forest were bent or the sake of Rey in a huge gigantic way hello rain was able to bring her back to life it bent so that kylo Ren could bring him back to life yeah color got the power but Ray got to be but product life and kylo Ren died at the end and he died permanently he didn't bring him back to life [Laughter] only the general Hux is also the spy that helps them I learned that at the end and he gets shot which is good okay hey Bruin general Hux and they kind of replace him with a guy who is actually more menacing or not more menacing but actually menacing because they made general Hux a joke not the entire first two movies they didn't give him menace they didn't give him any sort of it sort of respect or deference you know what would happen if if a Darth Vader became a joke they kept putting jokes on him he's uh he's just he constantly gets angry and mad throws tantrums and that stuff you couldn't take him seriously that's what they did the hugs especially in the last Jedi is that's what it was full of politics and they want all the bad guys to be angry little man babies they can poke fun at you in front of I don't know Donald Trump a lot of stuff they've won all the bad guys to be funny little man babies and just to have a middle finger pointed at all that whiney little man babies that they call women all the people they call it whiny little man babies but the consequence of that is that they made one of the central bad guys when Central featured characters at the first order why a little man maybe and you can't respect those people they can't respect why little man babies can you and so the so they kind of replaced him in the right of Skywalker but someone more menacing and someone a true threat who actually kills Hux and so that's what so that was another positive they got rid of general Hux and replaced him with some someone who's actually villainous and menacing and seems serious like the father of the room and like a seeing journal Hux and he being the the greenhorn and then this new character they introduced in the rise of skywalker he takes the place of Hux and he it can become when Jaime Lannister is replaced by Tywin Lannister I'm like that feel like they the the bad guy we've been with is suddenly overstepped by the true bad guy master bad guy it's kind of like what happened in the Skywalker pretty interesting so that's one of the things that you did right was actually replace you know this dump all the the some of the crap that we got from the last should I replace it with something actually that actually works like this I don't know even know the guys name I forgot not very good with memorable names but he was a he had the charisma at the Villa day yet he radiated villainy he was a replacement for general Hux I don't think natural healing abilities in Disney unknowingly you're not paying it hang the you and you mind I do I use a dark side healing power they wanted rated over the dark side that would have been I've been to a week writing just to have her go to the dark side and they've had her head her face a dark side version of Rey with that little flippy ID saber I'd say with two had one that unfolds he fights that version of herself for a few minutes I don't even feel it maybe a few seconds I was supposed to be like an echo of Luke going to the swamp facing Darth Vader and finding out it has Darth Vader actually has his face under very very poor imitation of very pale imitation every appeal you and so much so much talk about this movie it's ridiculous we have Laird is dying the week we see it Leia and Luke how Leia can come back as a force ghost she had barely any training he like got to see her training for a little bit don't know how long she trained it gave us a quick scene explain why she's suddenly a Jedi Master but something I guess everyone could do a force ghost stability mysticism the Babylon the force a little bit a force ghost and see more awesome metal thanks to the 15 now do you think they'll make the mistake of being theories such as the Mandalorian justify all the potholes ending that have things in they might they do they're doing that with novel vert novelizations and comics trying to hug up the plot holes left behind by the right of Skywalker in last Jedi and the force awakens the thing is you can't really do that the only the movie counts because if you're watching the movie you can't expect your audience who watch the movie to then go out and eat other novels and comic books has to be in the movie or else it doesn't really count tertiary and secondary sources are there to expand what's in on what's in the movie but you can't have the secondary tertiary resources take place and be supplemental they can't help elevate will help fix the movies can't do that it doesn't work that way yeah Davis well if I've raised the iPad this because they're explained doesn't necessarily mean that she's not an Aries the Palpatine they say Palpatine are being related how everything kind of explains their powers Minh even if they were explained it it depends on what the explanation is is there's a fit with cannon does it makes sense with the established lore or does it completely break the laws of reality it's something it can happen yeah you can have a you can have a hard-headed boss if to the new be someone he hates do something that the hard-headed boss doesn't usually do a sick of a new new person but if the explanation is the new person is just this so awesome that they get a promotion out of nowhere that's still Mary Sue but if the explanation however is that the boss is as being blackmailed by the new person then that's okay so is it expends it depends on what the explanation is about them explanation or not explained or not explain but I love there were a lot of improvements made on the characters they felt a little bit more like real characters and big me on that there's an instance with fries EVP Oh that he can't eat they need him to read and translate Sith dagger they can remember the murder weapon that has a map and all that stuff everything they need to find that was teen written on the murder weapon and he c-3po to translate it and he can instantly but something in his programming Abids him from actually telling him what it is they ever do a memory wipe and don't believe what the switches on the trailer it's not a matter of seriousness okay it's not a matter of concern is barely a matter of concern in fact they say so he says that maybe I have to do a fundamental memory wipe nor to access this there's like a wipeout that hold that at command that's hardwired in him and instead of saying you know they're deliberating on it and saying I wish there must be a different way to do this it must be a way around this so that you don't have to wipe our friends c-3po instead they said yeah super bright now and the only the the point of that might be an event of deference or CDEP oh is that one moment were you saying I'm taking last look at my friends other than that it's kind of played as a joke every time so they play as a joke and when he gets em refried he's it is memories just get zapped I Babu Frick and it's played into her comedic humorous way and then he they always make fun of the fact that he can't remember now and that is his memory has been reset like who are you I'm three sepia rods TV pianist and then they use one those star destroy your planet destroying Ken's destroy the planet that the rond only after the escape as saying well please Babu Frick is dead Babu Frick is not dead he actually survived somehow because he's the I guess he's one of the new toys they want they want Babu Frick to be their baby Oda they want a double Frick to be better maybe Oh to be loved more than baby Yoda he's not he's he's a little weird thing maybe Oda is Nyota Oh baby Otis still beats out a blue Frick by a long shot Trey Davis how did Ray have a crush on and echo I have no idea I mean she only spent but a couple of minutes or maybe a couple hours with Han Solo everyone kind of forgot about Han Solo Han Solo doesn't make a comeback in the rise of Skywalker he's still dead but he comes back as sort of a a memory ghost at a force ghost memory ghost in the vision of Ben solo so Ben is kind of I'm having a moral struggle with himself and another comes in epson as a memory goes and I've talks about it come like that that scene in Man of Steel when [Music] when Clark Kent's dad steps in as a toast and talks him out of whatever reason essentially hello it's almost the same scene okay just uh not being a baby grow up and do your stuff and that's what Han said what kind of tells him although in that version you can those like when the guy holding in old Indiana Jones and Han Solo in one thing they did do right if you want to know was color red they really improved on kylo Ren he's more villainous more ominous more powerful and she feels like a threat he was like a threatening villain which he hasn't felt like in the the previous two movies know what they should have done was do what they did with kylo Ren in the rise of Skywalker and do that for a force awakens they should have done that have been done but they wait and away the way to the third movie to save everything it didn't work it didn't work there we spent the entire time it's entirety of its run trying to make up for all the terrible stuff all the potholes all the huge mess that was maybe the first to move clear very very clear that's what happened let's see so anyone else see the rise of Skywalker's know what I'm talking about this is uh cuz this is this movie is B the BT bad but on the virtue of it trying to I pick up and clean up our than trying to tell its own tail [Laughter] let's see let's see it's you think so too what a tragic memory wipe tales of Xillia steep never heard of that that's interesting is that a movie or eels well I've ever heard that but memory wipes are usually pretty tragic I mean it happens all the time and haven't quite off happened quite often during in that Smith run of Doctor Who and every memory wipes are pretty tragic and they could they could they could have and should have and we're so close to playing it has really really tragic receipt PPO it didn't though they played it mostly for laughs I don't know what to tell you it was mind-boggling to me how they treated c-3po they treated him badly because it made you think that's going to be some sort of touching scene it's not you don't deliberate on it they don't cry over it they don't do anything it's like okay see the API we need you get it was to begin with CTO kind of suggests it like okay we can you can get out of my head I might have to do a memory wipe to do it and there was no deliberation it was just okay we need to this right now it really it's good you over here and let's do this right now then of course the EPO is his entire memory wipe but essentially his death is played for laughs pretty much all the way through and Oh Missy it's part of the hotels videogame series never heard of that most of those have most of their games but haven't I guess I that's what I missed get out then you and it's yeah this is uh this is a fruit the browser Skywalker well as the other Disney Star Wars movies are all forgettable they're all very forgettable there's no that there's no organic though organic movement to this movie you know how a stake of Empire Strikes Back it's so V you have Luke Skywalker with the other rebels they're hiding out on a base on Hoth and the Empire is shown suiting off a bunch of probes to go find out where they are one of them manages to find him and that leads to then we'll go from and that leads to which is something you should when reading a story and that leads to our and then and because of and then because of Oz effect though the Empire's launches of probes which leads to one of them finding Skywalker which leads to the Empire launching full attack force earth which leads to the rebels being rebel base being destroyed and the rebellion scattered which leads to Luke Skywalker dying off on his own which leads to him having the ability and opportunity to find Yoda on Dagobah which leads to him meeting Yoda which leads to him starting his training in the horse and everyone else also being scattered as the Empire showing the base led to them being scattered the rest of the gang are off doing their own thing and they're getting into trouble over over on in Cloud City which leads to Luke Skylark dumping his training and going to help them before he finishes which leads to him facing Darth Vader leads to him losing because he didn't finish training which leads to him losing his arm finding out his father is earth Vader which leads to the final ending where he's everything is scattered there were Empire is winning and Luke Skywalker's left with and oh trying to go look for Luke trying to go look for Han but has been taken by the Empire that's how it goes that's how a normal movie goes this leads to this leads this it's to this and that eight and that's that's how I was supposed to there is no real organic feel to rise of Skywalker's is here's one scene and now we go to the next scene now we go to the next scene now we go to like a bunch of teens they wanted to string together a new so and limb Xia slimiest pretenses well I needed a video game plot one thing they did do right though was instead of having ray being strung along they can pump up our victim narrative they actually have ray do things he actually takes initiative and does things instead of the first two movies she just kind of goes along with the flow or gets strung along with gets dragged along otherwise of style Skywalker actually has Rey take initiative and do things was pretty refreshing but again late and doesn't it doesn't save the doesn't save the trilogy right along they're pretty bad pretty bad dear is your favorite Star Wars movie from worst to best probably all of them hey new hope being hopefully the way new hope by itself is really actually pretty good it's a whole story and it's in and of itself because they didn't know they're gonna have another one that one is actually probably one of the best structurally and the Empire Strikes Back I can best and then I'm trying the Jedi third best mainly those are lonely solvers moves I know about [Laughter] nice hours movies in existence the readership I have to if I have to introduce the prequels though Phantom Menace is pretty bad I have the clones a little bit better The Revenge of the Sith actually all right that's your right most part Oh Raisa Skywalker is I would say tolerable or very close to being tolerable there are a lot of eye rolling moments like a and they fly now they fly now they fly now at my one's pretty everyone's pretty cringy actually with those vehicles that can launch your passenger and they kind of cut down on the quirky Marvel s humor but it's still in there and still very annoying a very very annoying also for some reason that made some stormtroopers women out of nowhere as they shoot some the stormtroopers and its women screaming paratroopers had always been men and then then they had women take the officer and then they added new characters was a big no-no you don't add a new mainstay characters very end although it's almost almost very close to being forgivable because the new characters they introduced are more troopers that had abandoned their job so the more storm tears like Finn which then makes Finn less special [Laughter] see what happens make Finn less special along fantastic they'll even give him that much stuff he's a little more intimidating he's really more of a solid character but he's still essentially the medic relief he's a [Music] I don't think the writers still the writers don't like it very much generally how that goes eventually how I was unfortunately that's where it's heading towards with Finn I'm not the most likable of characters in the eyes of the writers apparently let's see with the men DeLorean is still the the go-to if you want something good from Disney Star Wars if you want to but these movies are terrible they're there they are garbage the first two were made with extreme arrogance they're amazing arrogance people who directors and creators and writers who thought they were better than everyone else but it's clear that the right of Skywalker they've been humbled a little bit over the years of harsh and well-deserved criticism they have been humbled and it's very clear that they have been humbled otherwise in the rise of Skywalker so if you're part of the Phantom Menace you've you're winning keep going [Laughter] many defend menaces winning and the Mary Sue's and the feminists and all the SU W's and soy boys all mad about it they're all really really bitter about it another trying to slam the rise of Skywalker because it panders the fans it's literally what they say literally what they say mmm no I've not bought disney plus I do know people who have so I use theirs [Laughter] I also didn't pay for the ticket of rider Skywalker and someone else paying for ticket as paid for my refresh which was obviously some place with alcohol but I wasn't going to watch this movie sober didn't if you if you're drinking and or turn your brain off it's a little bit better Trey Davis weddin bb-8 back up a seat the apos memories the thing is our 2d to did and CTP who actually does get his memories back at the end well he does remember anything that takes place in the rise of Skywalker there was CBO's memories go up to when he goes off with a phone but he cared this comes back and this comes back isn't permanently died again no permanent death no permanent consequences at this consequences aren't a thing and this movie real only people that that that do permanently die or nobody's is to raise the stakes the other fighters things like that those people actually died but as far as the permanent important characters nobody really does maybe bubble frick they should have killed over Frick he's really annoying but their post friend the lady who with a blaster in the armor um she was actually pretty likable rising Li enough uh that she's gonna be another I don't need no man sort of character you know silly boys sort of character he's not she's actually humbly written and she's it's cliche she's clearly in love with Poe and it clearly shows and they have that they actually have some chemistry which is quite the opposite of Ray and and solo there's no chemistry between them they just there's gonna be being pushed together but then you could actually feel some chemistry between Poe and that one lady I don't know where any my fare what his name was but you is it it feels genuine at least at the very least of their friendship feels genuine it feels like people feels like human it was like humans wrote their their relationship instead of being robotic scenes made a robotic people that part of likely like part would they flush that Oh as they really made his backstory interest more or less and they gave him some interesting friend and she's not written like an issue w character he's written that more that's like a human he's really good at what she does but she's not an I don't need no man character he is she actually once if she offers a PO the chance to go with her you should come with me imply the galaxy together he says no I have to go off and fight the rebellion and she understands and then he shows him like this little chip that apparently helps apparently can get it the ship to anywhere with the first order so it land on the first order ship without any questions that's how good at this chip is Esalen MacGuffin but the essence around the principle behind it the writing behind it a little bit better but she events up getting PO this chip with no no strings attached is a summer sign of friendship and that was pretty good as pretty some things that are actually pretty good about this movie as opposed to last Jedi which does everything wrong I'd hate her level I just wanted to ask if you could send your and you stories you can give us feedback and want a story and friends hey it's good and I need it but you can I said we will have done that unfortunately I'm still pretty busy with after alpha we don't mind waiting a little bit and send it to me you know I kept trying to get to it yeah you can go ahead and send I still think Ben solo should have been over main character he was way more of a main character than it already was and one of the best things is we we did was kill off Ben solo though because that ends any hope of reloj which was fantastic the reloj gets destroyed and obliterated movie the big positive for this movie oh yeah Armageddon why didn't they answer but Fidan wanna tell ray I guess it's kind of like those things what was in the suitcase objection tell her something you can only get it's up to us what he wanted to say again it was kind of dumb is it was there this is quite the movie that don't go into this expecting anything good right any explanations or anything like that this go in there for the splosions don't even go in there for good good slide zebra but lightsaber combat it's still the same combat from the last Jedi very clunky very there was waving swords around that's it then of course the infamous last seen ray ends up on Luke Skywalker's farm they started off in his name sure he takes everything from Luke Skywalker she takes his powers he takes his legacy because x-wing has his helmet his family farm his lightsaber everything he takes his sister's lightsaber alright lady had a lightsaber ever loan never used but Ray even got that Skywalkers or as I know Ben was less than Skywalker's and he's dead so that's it that's it she takes everything from Luke Skywalker he just looks like Walker it's just bumped from the line and she takes over it she takes everything even the defeated Palpatine no more defeated Palpatine is a Walker was not responsible for the death of Palpatine or death of the Empire it's now all ray-ray is a thousand generations live in her now for summer somehow and for some reason though training or anything like that she did go on some sort of journey where she gained wisdom and immuned with the spirits or anything and he just just got all the power of all the Jedi because she's all the Jedi now she just she was just handed it cuz she's a MarySue every shoes get handed things because they're essentially the plot equivalent of being that um the heiress to a fortune they get a fortune but they don't have to earn the fortune ray is Bayern's all the forest powers in the world becomes a god level sue God level Jedi by becoming all the Jedi but she's not to earn that power she just gets handed that power she's inherits that power and there's Palpatine or keep up with NGO death how don't ask questions in the movie cuz you're not gonna get any answers a board through sis are you telling me the rise of Skywalker was actually the end of Skywalker pretty much all the Skywalker's are dead and Rey the only way you can say it the rise of Skywalker even happened because ray at the very end of the day I didn't to fight as a Skywalker itself identified as a Skywalker and that's where you have it that's how that works there's a lot a lot of that about this movie that's terrible and she did some things they were all right the wise bird unless you die but she all the jabs of ryan johnson in de fantastic that's that was fantastic but yeah still a terrible movie still a terrible movie now as bad as I thought I was gonna be little pretty bad but it's enjoyably bad especially have some sort of alcoholic beverage in hand I'm gonna head in a cut the stream here I think he everyone for joining me this was a Wars is not about space wizard it's about overcoming the impossible it's about starting off as a small insignificant farm boy on the edge of nowhere and then gaining wisdom learning training becoming stronger until you can defeat impossible and can until you can have the strength and the knowledge overcome what people thought was unconquered that is the essence of Star Wars the hero's journey that is the story of Star Wars yeah it has it doesn't have space Wizards as Jedi it has Jedi in it as Jedi in it but it's not about space with it's not about Jedi about the hero's journey that's the
