LWCC MIssions september 2021

hey everyone this is chanel here at living word christian center in la mirada and today we are with eli which is one of our missionaries evangelist pastors that goes everywhere he's with me today and we're just gonna go through some information that's taking place this is a big movement that eli is uh doing right now and a lot of people don't quite understand the burden of it and the mission of it and i really want people to understand that living word is more than just our churches here in california it's actually all over the world so i'm gonna have i'm going to just toss it over to you eli just tell us what you're doing first of all so first of all i just want to thank god because everything that i'm doing would be impossible so one of the things that weighs very heavy on my heart is reaching out to countries outside of the united states although when i'm here i'm doing something here but uh my heart's passion is uh to travel to foreign countries most of them are third world countries and of course the purpose behind everything i do is to bring souls to christ that's the mission and the mandate actually on on my life in my ministry um but we're seeing a powerful move of god everywhere that i go and it's uh it's amazing to see that uh people are so hungry and so thirsty for god some of the countries that i've been to um well this current trip we're headed to pakistan i think this is my fourth year in pakistan and i can see that our territory is growing from pakistan i'll be heading out to bangladesh i've have a i've had a friend there for about four to five years and i'm headed to to dhaka bangladesh and from there we'll head out to a place called uh janaya and that's going to be a really true missionary work because we will be going from village to village so it's it's uh it's pretty powerful and amazing to see what god is doing let me ask you too like why did you pick i know if we have churches in pakistan i've met the pastor like through messaging and stuff like that but why pakistan let's start there honestly i gotta be honest with you i can't i don't know but i will tell you this um in 2018 god spoke to me and he told me i want you to go to india and i want you to go to pakistan this is before i know anything about living word church in pakistan but after talking to people and sharing what god told me and then i found out we have a we have a living word church there but i got to tell you when i went to pakistan i fell in love with the people the culture is predominantly muslim [Music] and then when i went to india that was a learning experience for me uh i couldn't stomach the food so these are kind of like the setbacks right the food i couldn't stomach i think i drank soda for three days no food so i was forced into a fast but uh it was beautiful to see what what god is doing in the hindu hindu countries and i fell in love with with pakistan i i tell everybody god gave me a bride and that was the bride of pakistan that's awesome and then now you're going to a new country right have you been there before never been there we've been planning this for four years and it just never fit into the program but this year i made a commitment and i know that god wanted me to go because he said i've opened the door for you to enter into bangladesh so it'll be my first trip there um we're going to do some amazing things there and i'm excited that's awesome and like maybe you can tell us as a church or whoever's watching what are some key things that they can pray about while you're over there because you leave this wednesday right i leave wednesday right around noon time so one of the key things that i i tell people to pray for is number one protection and safety you know call the angels down from heaven you know and just cover me in that area but i really think the key component to the prayer is that souls will come to know christ and not only come to know christ but actually come to know christ and stay so we have uh we have this man that i'm meeting with he has churches available in in that in that region the um the flip side to that is is that they're underground churches oh wow so they can't do like we do have these outside venues and be out there the hindu religion is very very strong in bangladesh it's actually probably the most opposing factor of going in there but um but i believe we're going to see a yeah see that flipped exactly and i think that like us as a living word church or that even just the churches in america really need to appreciate the freedom we have in our religion right now to be able to just worship wherever we want to right and right and i'm sure that's like something you learn too when you go to different countries every time right and feel that one thing god taught me right from the get-go is i never bring the american culture to a foreign country especially the countries that i go into that don't like america um i actually go and one thing god told me to do he says dress like the culture so i have a wardrobe for pakistan i have a wardrobe for for africa i have a wardrobe now for cuba uh some of the countries that i've been to have uh uganda i've been to kenya and i'm planning to go to south africa this coming year but i recently came back from cuba and i got to tell you not one of these countries was on my desire list they were just countries where i heard the lord saying i've opened the door for you to go even going back to cuba he wants me to stay there at least a month well to train the cuban people but we're also planning a trip to brazil to our living word church in brazil many of you may know or may not know we have a church in brazil um and like i said i'm planning to go back to cuba yeah i love brazil i love the pastor over there pastor marcos he's amazing so that's going to be awesome i need we need pictures and videos of that one for sure yeah well one thing i'm doing i'm really good is to make sure that everything is photographed part of the photograph is not because of the work that i'm doing but it's really to encourage you you know god could take a man like me come out of what i came out of and put me in the nations you can do it for me he can do for you yes amen okay well we just wanted to know what you you were doing where you're going what's happening so we can pray for you and be involved in this whole movement that the lord's taking you on but um if you are watching online just keep up to date i know eli said he's going to give us photos of his trip so then we will in turn post them right and keep everybody involved in what's taking place but i think our biggest goal or my biggest goal in doing this and understanding what you're doing eli is to encourage the churches in living and the people of living word to know that we're not just this small humble church throughout california or throughout different states but we're so much more we're reaching so much more people because that's our heart yes it's our heart to reach people well one of the things that i told pastor reuben i want to be part of pastor reuben's number one his heart his vision you know i i've asked him let me be a part of your life your vision part of the living word family and let me take what i know god has called me to do let me take it outward and uh we're we're going to see some great moves keep in touch stay stay connected and you know can i just say something in closing i've seen the amount of missionaries going into foreign countries uh dwindle it definitely has dwindled you know many of you have churches and i'm speaking to the living word church as well as anybody who's listening encourage your people to take ground that they've never they've never been to encourage your people there's a there's a culture out there with your name on it the hunger that i'm seeing in foreign countries is phenomenal the miracles the signs the wonders coupled together with a desperate a desperation to know jesus is so phenomenal i want to encourage you you know encourage your people you know support them do whatever you have to do to train them up it's not only about america it's it's it's about the globe that's that's the uh vision of our of our savior so yes indeed all right well thank you living word for watching stay tuned with eli's trips keep the countries in prayer keep them i guess
