amen and and uh i mean our church has been blessed throughout the years with uh children pastor stella she just loved children and she would she would constantly pray for uh for women and and and their efforts and and god would bless god would bless so this morning we have the joy of uh dedicating a child to the lord baby elijah james granados [Applause] amen hallelujah we all know the granados brother raul and desiree hallelujah he's such a happy baby you see him yeah he's always he's gonna be the boss baby hallelujah we got his brother back there on the keyboards amen and uh desiree and raul and you know we just want to dedicate them the bible says in proverbs 22 6 it says that when you if you train up a child in the ways of the lord when he is old they will not depart from it amen and you know i remember you know we didn't my son my son is 34 now but i remember we held him up in our living room one we dedicated them to the lord and when me and mom walked away from the lord it was that son who one day just as a teenager says we need to go back to church amen that was 13 14 years ago and you know what children thursday we had a couple of speakers here are who came guests and they these they were raised in the church i believe that as as god blesses blesses the families with children that we raise them up in the things of the lord that you know what whatever the world has against them is god is going to sustain them amen so we just want to just you know pray for this uh couple pray for this young baby right here look at him he's got the stare already amen hallelujah and my prayer is always that that they always hear the lord's voice and that they always walk humbly before him all the days of their life amen and so we're gonna just please stand with me this morning we're gonna stretch our hands forward for this couple amen hallelujah hallelujah pray with me church heavenly father we pray lord god for baby elijah father we pray lord that your hand be upon him lord god lord that you would just in just release your angels charge over him father god lord god that he grow up healthy father god that he always hear your voice lord and lord that he walk humbly before you all the days of his life father god father god that you will prepare him lord god for great things lord god that no harm will come against him lord god that your angels are released upon him father this family lord god that you continue to bless them father god strengthen them lord god in the ministry father god and wherever you have called them to father god we pray this blessing over them lord we pray father god that you father god will be the lord and savior of their lives through all their their years father god we pray this father in your son's glorious name lord god bless this child father god bless him anoint him father god in jesus precious name and we all say amen [Applause] you can go ahead and be seated amen right now we're going to move on to another important part of our service and that's in the area of our giving amen so if you need a tithing envelope this morning or our offering envelope if you can lift up your hands one of our ushers or usually we'll be more than glad to get you one amen and so we just want to welcome everyone here this morning how many know we're going to have a great time this morning amen and so we now have the privilege how many know it's a privilege to give back to the lord and the opportunity amen because how many know if it wasn't for the lord none of us would be here this morning you wouldn't be sitting next to some people that you normally sit next to now because you didn't get along in the world amen but how many thank god for his grace and for his mercy amen that he has given us the privilege of giving back to him amen and so we have four ways of giving you can use our titley app you you can go to lw cc you download the the tightly up there or you can use our website or with the credit card all we ask is that you put all the information correctly and where we can read it that way we give you the proper uh credit you have there and then we destroy that paper that has all your information on it i want to read a portion of scripture in mark chapter 12 verses 41 through 44. it says jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting in their money into the temple treasury it says many rich people threw in large amounts verse 42 says but a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins worth only a few cents and then verse 43 says calling his disciples to him jesus said truly i tell you this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others verse 44 they all gave otto their wealth but she out of her poverty put in everything all she had to live on now don't get scared this morning now we're not going to ask you to put everything in the offering name and the the bible just requires that we give back 10 and the reason why we give back 10 percent is because we're asking god to bless the 90 and how many you know that we need wisdom when it comes to the area of finances amen and so we're saying god here's your 10 amen now bless our 90 amen and the gospels of mark and luke both related the incident involving the the widow's gift and i said she didn't give much they all said she didn't give much and if you understood what was going on back there in the time they had these big brass uh things and when you would throw the money in there it would make a loud clinging noise so all these rich people would throw it in you hear all kind of noise going on but now when this widow came she dropped it in there and you probably didn't hear no noise at all but the bible says that it got jesus attention but it says that he watched i mean the lord's watching us as we give back to him he says okay i'm providing for you now when you learn to be faithful and little i'll give you more amen so he's watching and and when he's watching he's always watching to see our response amen to what he gives us and then it says he called his disciples how many know when you call somebody it's because you're trying to teach them something amen it's because it's like when you go to that one restaurant and there's good food you tell everybody about it right and then when you take them they happen to make a mistake that day and you say it's not always like this amen but the same thing there a giving gets his attention let me know right now he's looking at us amen the second thing is that giving is for everybody it says the rich and the poor so that's that's saying that sometimes we come to churches so i don't have much to give all i have is a dollar then give that dollar it's like the widow here she gave what she had and and because a lot of times we think well they're not going to be able to do nothing with the dollar it's not it's not so much what we do with the finances the lord is saying well i've given you a promise and the promises of god are hinged on our obedience so when we're obedient to the lord then that opens up and we're able to stand on god's promises now the third thing is he's he's teaching a lesson i mean he's always teaching us and for a lesson for some of us it may be trust trust me this morning i know you have all these other things but when you take a step of faith because a lot of times we pray god develop my faith so he's going to put us in situations where he's going to say okay this is an opportunity to step out in the supernatural and develop your faith are you going gonna trust me and the last thing is give giving teaches us to trust she gave all she had amen she only had two small mites and she gave it unto the lord she said here it is lord and that got his attention more than those giving a lot of money now don't get me wrong some of you say well i'm going to give a lot no no give it still amen don't say no i'm going to give a little no give 10 of what we have and then once you develop tithing learn to give above tights that's where offering comes in god you've been so good to me god and you've been blessing me so i'm going to continue to sow seed above my tithes amen and that's called tithe and offering so this morning we're going to pray we're going to ask god to bless us with some of us i mean maybe this is a step of faith you're going to you're saying i'm i'm going to stay faithful in the area of my giving for some god maybe challenge you go to a whole another level in the area of offering amen and for some it's like i'm going to start from this day on amen so let's pray father we thank you god for everything you're doing god within our lives we thank you for providing for us this morning god we pray for our tithes we pray for our offering lord that you would multiply it for the furtherance of the gospel continue to stretch our faith continue to to allow us to trust you even more my god and we thank you god for your word we thank you for your promises god we thank you for the faithful givers and even those my god that are learning to trust you continue to provide seed god that we can continue to [Applause] [Music] [Music] wow amazing worship you may be seated the lord bless you if you're here for the first time welcome welcome welcome we enjoy having you even though we can't see you but i'm i'll catch up to you amen turn your bibles over to the book of timothy chapter 2 timothy chapter 2 verse 4 and we're dealing with the subject of fighting i believe that these are the last days and we've got to come to grips that we have to fight we cannot be frail weak jello christians we have to be people that love to fight not against our brothers not against our sisters but against the enemy himself because the enemy you can't see him but sometimes he uses people to say the wrong things at the wrong time to offend you but you can't take it personal because sometimes they're lost but if they're born again and they do that sometimes they're just plain carnal carneli jones as i call them that are walking in the flesh and not in the spirit so you cannot take anything personal you have to come to a place where you learn how to discern and how to test the spirits with whether they're be of god or they be a man so we got quite a bit to cover but we got a fight how many of you were fighters oh there's only there's only ten of you okay well that's that's great i said how many of you were fighters yeah how many of you still fighters against the enemy amen against the enemy see sometimes the enemy you can't see him but you know his tactics you know his anger or his assaults against you that people say the wrong things and they actually mean them but it's not really them now it's the spirit inside of them that's speaking through them and you and i need to be able to not be sissies and get all you know bend out of shape and hurt and i'll never come back to the church no you need to be a fighter overlook that and say no i'm not here to serve them i'm here to serve god and after i know who they are i'll treat them as gentle as i can when i first became a christian i sat there in the church and we had communion and there was this guy that i could not stand i couldn't even bear his face and i said in communion we were having communion and we were breaking bread and god told me before you take communion you you better go ask him for forgiveness but i i don't like him once you and i ask for forgiveness now i was born again just brand new and god says you got to do it so i went up to him and told him you know what i just want to tell you that i hated you but i love you and i forgive you and and he just he just looked at me like who are you what happened you know he blew his mind because he was brand new he was only a week old in the lord but and and then we became the best partners in christ jesus because we knew that we were brothers now and it took time for us to discern what was going on in the book of second timothy chapter 2 verse 4 the bible reads this way no man that wareth entangles himself in the affairs of this life that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier are you a soldier today because the definition of a soldier is that you give yourself to the military and they start ruling over your life no longer are you entangled with your wife no longer are you entangled in other affairs of the world but now you belong to that lieutenant or that trainer and he begins to train you he begins to lay his hands on you he big he looks at you if you're skinny he's going to put some muscle in you if you if you have small endurance then he's going to make you run so that your endurance can hold up and sometimes you know that's the way we are god has to train us train us to endure hardship as a good soldier trainers to go the extra mile and beyond that mile of forgiveness god has to train us and we cannot afford to get stuck in any area we have to remove the curtain out of the way and say god deal with me because you've chosen me and i cannot entangle myself in the affairs of this world doesn't mean that you go and leave your job it doesn't mean that you quit your job because now you're a christian no it means that you do a better job where you work and it means that also doesn't mean that you get rid of your wife no you keep your wife for better for worse for richer for poorer you you know all that so you get to keep that wife that doesn't mean that you don't provide for your wife that means you provide for your wife but now you are a christian that has more responsibility on his life to accomplish what god wants you to accomplish so here is where you start hitting the road and start learning learning learning because nobody taught us how to love our wife nobody taught us how to love our people oh they all they taught us is that whoever is king then makes the rules but now we have to humble ourselves and become servants so that we won't get entangled and when i say sermons you go down to your knees and you communicate with god and god makes you into that servant that he wants you to be come on you need to love the unlovable some people don't like to love the unlovable just because they don't look like you they don't act like you and all that stuff they don't smell like you then you don't like them no no you gotta love them it's like getting married to the man that you don't like that much now but at first you were in love with him come on somebody i know it hurts but you gotta you gotta get in there and say you know what i'm gonna be a better person so we can't be entangled in the affairs of this world and then he goes on to say that if a man also strives in the mastery yet he is he not crowned except he strives lawfully in other words if you're going to run there are rules that you got to stick by you cannot cheat you cannot have shortcuts there's only one way to do it if you have a wife you got a keeper she she might have been like very sexy and very good looking at that time when you married her but now she looks a little different and before you used to have hair and now you have no hair and before you know you you used to be a good a good dresser but now you're working hard and you're not a good dresser sometimes in a while you take a bath and you smell good so you know all those things begin to change but you're still running within within the boundaries that god has given you to run in so there are laws can you say amen tell your neighbor there are lost neighbor and i gotta love you whether i like you or not so those are laws i know here we go okay we're going to have to develop to keep our zeal if we want to fight now when i say zeal i mean your energy your energy inside of you like when you first got saved you did everything for christ jesus you had zeal now that you get older well you're not might not have that zeal that you had then but now you're functioning as an older person but you still have that zeal and that fire to continue doing what you were doing in other words you don't quit in the zeal that you have but the only thing that the enemy hates the most is that when a man or a woman be no the enemy loves the most when a man and a woman just begins to slow down and take everything in a routine way where you get caught up in the routine and pretty soon that zeal that you had that passion that you had that energy that you had is no longer there so now it's become a routine i got to be there instead of saying i love what i'm doing for god now you start looking within yourself and said i don't have that zeal no more that zeal has to be woken up it has to be shaken up because the only way that zeal dies is when you take it easy and you put it under laziness it reminds me of that snail on top of the turtle and the snail saying you're going too fast sometimes the zeal all of a sudden you lose it and you don't have the energy anymore the holy ghost comes into you and that bursts and this is the fountain of living waters bursting out of you and then you slow down and all of a sudden those fountains begin to slow down because now you're giving priority to other things and you're entangling yourself in the affairs of this life and then you are hearing more of the world and you're hearing god you walk away from the word of god and you don't hear it no more and you become lazy your bible just sits there and it's just there it looks pretty but it's full of dust why because we're not putting no effort no zeal to get into the word of god and then whatever when i gotta throw this one in the way he kills your seal a lot of times is that you begin to get sick and then all of a sudden you gotta take all kinds of pills and then all of a sudden you don't wanna read because you're nodding out all the time you're back the way you used to be you're a knotter you look like a a parrot that just sits there and knocks you open your bible but you're not you look at the scripture and uh i'm too lazy it's the spirit of laziness it is the the work of the flesh that begins to take over you and kill the thriving force that god put inside of you that's why he told timothy in chapter 4 first timothy chapter 4 verse 14 neglect not the gift in thee timothy don't neglect it in other words don't put it secondary don't put it on the uh on the sidelines make sure that you look at yourself and you examine yourself and if you're losing the zeal the only reason why you lost it is because you started relaxing you started relaxing too much so now you're dedicated more to the tv more to the movies more to the things that you're doing and your neck and that that neglect can bring a serious break because laziness will cause you to do weird things some of you don't even comb your hair no more you're so lazy it's too much work now too much work i'll just leave it like that and look like a monster or a womb you look like a chia plant when they throw water on the people so you need to you need to have a little zeal inside of you you need to stir up say with me stir up say it again i need to stir up the gift that is inside of me that gift of the holy spirit that gift is the power of god inside of you you got to stir it up you got to do some praying you got to do some fasting you got to do some reading you said brother but those are words who cares if their works if it works it works you got to work you cannot be just a sluffle lazy little christian that just comes to church and do nothing no no you gotta stir yourself up and say you know what i am more than a conqueror through him that loved me and gave his life for me i am a powerful individual i will not allow myself to slip into laziness put it on cruise and cruise it too many of us get into that place and the enemy whispers and says you're doing just fine now you're no trouble to me just stay like that don't shake my tree i love the way you are lazy and stupid come on somebody i'm talking real now this is not the first church of the prison there this is the holy ghost church where god begins to stir us up stir up the tree send some wind so that he can wake us up so that we can cause our divine nature to take place our divine nature has to be there your call stay with me i'm called the bible says that god called moses now listen to this the word moses means to be picked out of the water and isn't that that story where he just went in that basket and they picked them up picked them out of the water that was moses and guess what god picked them out of water and took them out of egypt into the desert and they're in the desert after training in there with all the sheep you know that training you from a palace to a shepherd is a long ways to be there washing your feet in the palace and grooming your nails and your hair and treating you like a real nice individual keeping you manicured in the whole thing and then all of a sudden god said i'm taking you out of those waters and i'm going to put you over here in the desert with a sheep where they all just say meh and that word usually means i'm hungry take me away to another place and there he is 40 days 40 days in the desert or 40 years i'm sorry 40 years in the desert just being trained there god will take his time because he knows how much time you got on the earth and he will start moving in your life because he knows how much time you got on the earth but he will wake you up he will wake you up he's going to wake you up this morning he's going to stir you up so that you can get back to the place you used to be because some of you have become so weak that any wind comes and you want to drink a beer you're drinking a beer you're partying oh man my my mom that my dad died i gotta drink myself to death and you're a christian come on get up get up and say you know what i'm gonna live for god regardless of what takes place i know brother ruben i've never heard this type of preacher well welcome hallelujah welcome welcome to the house of god to me the house of god is a frightening place because you don't even know what's going to happen next because he's in charge he's got them in the back everything is new to him and then god tells him out of that burning bush that wasn't consumed and yet it was burning moses moses take off your sandals because now you're standing in holy ground you thought the king had power now you met the king of kings take off your shoes because the ground that you're standing on is holy ground and god starts dictating to him what he was done now he's going to be a leader of people he's going to be the leader of people over there he was the servant to pharaoh and now he was leading the sheep and now he was about to lead people what a transition from sheep to people he probably said i like sheep better because they don't talk back that's why people don't want to roll up their sleeves and work with people because they talk back but he said no my calling is greater because i've heard the cry in egypt and my people are crying out and i need a shepherd to go in there and demonstrate the power that i'm about to stir in your life and and you're going to do great things and moses says no no no no no he said what do you got in your hand no he thought it was just the staff what do you got in your hands i've got a staff he didn't know that that staff can turn into a weapon he said toss it down and he tossed it down and became a serpent matter of fact in front of all of pharaoh he ate all two serpents that were there why because god is greater than the devil himself but he needs men and women that are stirred inside of their lives don't ever say that it's impossible all things are possible to christ you better stir yourself up and wake up again that god's not done with you not because of your little mistakes not but because of your hang-ups god is not done with you if he picked you up out of the waters he's going to see through that you will be taken back into the waters to accomplish what he wants accomplished from your life so you need to learn to stir yourself to inspire yourself to read your bible so that you can inspire yourself and all of a sudden you become fire on the inside all of a sudden you'll feel a different nature inside of you and all of a sudden you'll roll up your sleeves back i said i can do all things through christ which strengthens me daily thank god for our worship team i hear them every sunday every thursday man and they're bad they are they're they're supernatural young people that are supernaturally anointed by god but they got a leader without the leader they couldn't do too much and sometimes we neglect to acknowledge the leader we acknowledge the players but not the leader but without the leader it would sound rotten no faithfulness it would look like f truth we need more men and more women to rise to the occasion not to look at what they are but of what they can be for the kingdom of god look at david david was he was there he was a regular guy i grew up when i was picking cotton as a young boy i was picking all kinds of stuff even peeling onions and my mom would tell me you want a pair of levi's you're going to have to work with your hands that was a little boy you're going to have to work with your hands you want a pair of levi's and there i was feeling you guys don't know about this you know peeling onions you know those green onions you buy at the barking i used to peel those and i was crying because the onions would make me cry then she says you want to go i'm going to take you over there to to pick some cotton she made me a little a little uh what do you call the sack out of my pillow sack she made me want to strap it on me and i was a little tiny guy says come on you want some levi's you you're gonna have to learn how to work with your hands and she says come on let's go and i would look at those rolls they were from here to way probably to the other block on the other side and there was 105 degrees humidity also my mom would just pick and pick and say come on reuben okay then i started learning was working there god had everything planned let me tell you something god has everything planned in your life every single plan you're no action and being here in the house of god you're no accident at all so don't you dare that think that you're nothing you're something you're about to accomplish greater things that you've ever accomplished in your whole life but you're gonna have to be a fighter david became a fighter once he became a king he was a fighter he was a strong anointed king but he learned what to use to get there it was the only tools he had but he used them well and god raised them up see when god raises you up there ain't nobody that can put you down so yeah i'm coming here getting my breath you see we cannot lack we cannot allow our lack of certain talents to discourage us sometimes we want to compare ourselves to people and we compare ourselves to the talents they have and then when you say i don't have that talent i don't have that ability you can't go by that you see there are more there are more people with two talents than there is with five talents so people with two talents can do a whole lot because they give themselves to god if god used the disciples and he turned the bread and the fish and they fell he took him and he multiplied all the fish to feed 5 000 people and children how much more don't you think he could take your little talent and multiply it inside of your life i remember stella when she was cooking for me when she first started man the tortillas that she would make they were frisbees she says here's your tortillas he was proud of it and says eat the tortilla you know the flour tortillas eat the tortilla and i would bite it by the time i bit it it was cold so it was very crunchy i said they're frisbee stella and she would cry oh and she would ask god and then all of a sudden she'd make the best tortillas in the world but she didn't quit because of the lack of talent she kept on doing it and doing it i sure wish she was here today to give us a tortilla oh yeah she's eating manna in heaven [Laughter] she's not even thinking of me right now hallelujah but it's okay i'm thinking of her amen [Applause] the bible says in the book of luke chapter 12 48 it says to whom much is given much is required so whenever you have much much is required so raul you have much so much is required for the whole ban uh ushers you have much and god it has to give it to the other ushers the home directors god has to give more whatever much you have you have to give more you have to give more the the barrel never becomes dry you know it's always more more more some of you have prospered because god you took everything that god says and now god's prospering in you and giving you more because you've given the little and now he's given you more to give more and that's the way it goes over and over so you need to stir yourself up and don't compare yourself to talents don't compare yourself to a person you just say i got what i got and i'm gonna use what i got whether it be a kind word that you have to people give it give the kind word it's okay kind words go a long ways and if anything you're gonna do use your mouth for good instead of bad use your mouth for complimenting people how great they are how beautiful they look compliment the people because when you compliment them they begin to bloom bloom if they can do that then i could do it better but do it better huh i used to tell my style i said you're beautiful oh my god you're hot toposhita you're amazing always picking her up always picking her up i wasn't always like that i had to change when god changed me i picked her up made her look the best that i could i love her afro she had an afro she had a bad afro i said well you blacks i said no just just poop we need good servants to serve people serve people we need good servants so the little thing that you might think i don't have anything to serve people we're going to have a thanksgiving over here and a week before thanksgiving it's going to be free for all of us we're just going to fellowship and serve each other we're going to look like turkeys when we leave we're going to be happy pearly gates let her walk on those streets of gold serving serving whenever they tell you let's do this let's do it put all your passion in it why because you're waking up that lazy person you're getting that lazy place the person out of the way and you're stirring the godliness inside of you and and you're placing that and god is using that to serve people tell your neighbors time to serve people it's so nice to serve people i have a neighbor he doesn't know me i just talked to me my neighbor i said what's your name josh yeah i went and got him two big pizzas to john he said what are you doing that for and he says i owe you he tells me that i said listen josh you don't owe me nothing you just enjoy this pizza with your family and the pizza i got them was that thick and it was cheesy oh my god i got a vegetable vegetable what a blue look that thing glowed then the other one's pepperoni and i added out of the thick when you bit into that thing you go oh jesus that's so wonderful pizza you know i know what you're getting hungry but i just threw that in and he says i owe you i said you don't owe me nothing josh you're my neighbor and i love you like a neighbor i served him then the other day i see them again i said you want a pizza and said yeah i want to go get one i'll get it for you okay okay okay they were all waiting for me because pastor brings good pizza not the cheap pizza the good pizza even the little boy was hey thank you thank you and then they told me we want to visit your church i said okay anytime you want to why because of the goodness of serving people not to get something out of it but just to make them look up towards god see i i've encountered a lot of grouches and a lot a lot of idiots in my life a lot of people say dumb things you know right and you just have to say oh man i looked way beyond him i said oh i gotta teach him i gotta teach him through exampleship i gotta teach him and i've seen a lot of people change throughout the years because they saw something different because when you see something all the time you become like that all the time but when you see something different you gain a different presence and you begin to touch other people you gotta serve people say with me i have to serve people i have to be the best servant i gotta wake up my spirit i gotta get rid of my laziness my greediness and serve people that's how you do war because the devil doesn't want you to do anything good he wants you to divide people he wants to make you lazy complacent and just take it easy so that nothing would happen we can't afford that in these last days jesus is coming back he's coming back really if you don't believe me we got a small window of opportunity we gotta work well it is day because the night cometh when no man can work let's take opportunity of serving people and stir up the spirit inside of you inside of you you have the spirit of god stir it up say within yourself i'm going to be a better person i'm going to serve people i'm going to fight the enemy and i'm going to win more people to christ because i want to love them i'm coming out of my shell and i'm going to be a lot better person than what i was how many saw the that little baby that they dedicated them i like that guy elijah i look at him and he starts laughing i said wow i want you to be my assistant when you grow up because he's full of joy there's some things we've got to take care of inside of us and if we're sincere we need to take care of them i want you all to stand as the worship team comes and as we get ready for communion i want you to lift up both hands the bible says to lift up hands to the lord one without wrath and one without doubt that means i'm not doubting and one without wrath you're not angry at me so i'm lifting up my hands like that to agree with you say with me in the name of jesus i love you father with all my heart forgive me for the lack of serving you right it's been out of ignorance right now i ask you for forgiveness forgive me of all my sins remove my sin cast it into the deepest ocean never to be remembered again i want to be a good instrument that loves
