Local coin shop refuses to buy my silver . Rethinking my purchase decisions

foreign good morning everybody it's a Savage stacker okay I got a story for you guys and the opinions and the facts in the story should not reflect on all local coin shops or uh other sellers or give me uh you know base your opinion on stacking certain types of silver based on this story alone and remember I'm not a financial advisor I'm just out here doing this stuff for fun and uh and um so enjoy the story so I wish there was a happy ending to the story but there's really not it it kind of ruined a uh a four-year long relationship with my local coin shop and it didn't have to go there if he just would have been honest right from the gate and um and you kind of jacked me around for an hour and I told him that I was I had about a half hour to deal with that not an hour and it was kind of weird so I go in I haven't been where I haven't worked in like five weeks so um I have money but you know we're trying not to dip into certain certain areas of money so I was gonna go sell some silver that I've actually made probably three dollars an ounce on and so I picked some stuff that he we had talked about before he likes stuff that looks good in this case and um so I picked stuff that is brand new in packages resellable and looks nice and with this in mind this is the what happened that day is the last thing I thought was going to happen so we had to go we had to be somewhere by a certain time and uh we're on a time schedule to get back from out of town to pick up the kids from school so we didn't really have any extra time to Jack around so um so we're kind of on a time crunch so it made it even more stressful the whole situation and so go to the coin shop I bring him 100 ounces of decent beautiful silver resellable silver all right here we go we're going to pull these out you guys have seen these on my channel plenty of times better than 10 ounce Nader bars and they're nice they're in a package they're lbmas they're trusted bars they're good delivery bars every one of those serial numbers is in a system somewhere um with the London buoyant Exchange and well [Music] I bring these into him eight of these and two of these [Music] all right I bring in a hundred ounces now I'm going to use part of this money to actually buy some gold back from him and actually let's zoom in on that and uh and then use some for a couple things that I need to pay off real quick and uh so I don't dip into my savings and I was actually making money on these so I wasn't really tripping so I had called him talked to him and said yeah people aren't really selling right now so it'd be great to get some silver in the in the case so I go down there with beautiful 10 ounce bars that are just pristine look at little Ripple lines in the package we set a price before we even looked at the product and he was going to give me spot 100 of spot and the premiums are going down so I'm like all right that works for me um let's do it I opened up the box and he goes hold on wait a minute maybe we should have looked at what you had before we set a price and I'm like okay first thing right there I'm like all right is there a problem he's like no no problem and then he starts looking up the bar as he says he's never seen these bars before in his life 43 years he's been doing this and he hasn't seen uh London bullion exchange bar a good delivery bar he doesn't know what they are he doesn't know what the lbma is so I'm trying to educate him and by now he has been searching for these bars online and he keeps coming up with Boeing Exchange I said look at if you go to any of the bigger bullying companies SD Monument Metals even bold has them a lot of uh company has them um and I'm trying to tell them where to look and he's like well I keep typing in Google and the only place that has these is bullying exchange I said okay well that's not the only one that has them we did this back and forth trying to find these bars one other place besides buoyant exchange for a half an hour 40 minutes and he kept just going to Google going and typing in the name and I'm like hey go to an actual bullion company Because unless the company registers what they have in stock on Google it's not going to come up that's including app mix all of them so I try to explain that to him and he's like well Google's just not finding him I said well okay go to a bullion company and he did this once before when I sold him some stuff he wanted to just know if the product existed and all that so I wasn't thinking anything of it I was thinking it's normal for him well I have been warned by other another local coin shop around the corner from him which gets a lot of business from him because he turns a lot of people away and he always complains that he doesn't have anything in stock that nobody keeps selling to him or anything like that and this place around the corner is like well yeah he's he's odd he's very odd I don't want to like bad mouth him too bad you know but he's an odd individual and he when it comes to uh coins she only likes to buy silver and gold coins from the United States that he doesn't want foreign like you know silver constitutional silver or um he doesn't like sovereigns and stuff like that he likes it from the United States but bullion he buys all different types of buoyant I've bought all types of different bullion bars from him in the past tons and from all over the world and um but that other LCS is like um you know just be careful with him you know I know you have a good relationship with him but um we get a lot of business our way because he turns people away for the weirdest on on stuff that's beautiful and American and he just like he sent some lady away that had eight uh Saint Gardens um six of them were graded ms-62s and some 63s and a couple that were bare not not in not in a in the slabs and he turned her away for all of them all of them they went to his store around the corner another guy and uh he bought them all you know they're just beautiful coins took every one of them he didn't understand he was explaining to me he's like look at all these I got from him he didn't buy one I'm like that doesn't make any sense so I continued to have build this relationship with him over the last few years and I've spent over 50 Grand with this guy you know and I've sold them some silver before too no issues right but he always wants to look it up and just see see what he what we have some of the stuff he hasn't recognized he doesn't know what it is you know a lot of new companies mints making new products and so he just likes to look them up so I think that's what's going on well lo and behold we've been in here for an hour my wife's sitting in the car she's blowing me up going what is going on like that's 10 bars like I've gone in there with it with 500 ounces before mixed hodgepodge stuff and it only took you know 30 minutes so and I'm like I know I know I know I'll be out in a minute so after an hour of him just re-typing in Google over and over and over and over and over again the name of These Bars and expecting a different result which he wasn't getting after this frustrated frustrating hour of me trying to prove like I'm trying to prove I'm trying to teach him what lb Amaze is I'm trying to prove that these are all um in a system somewhere there's all these numbers and all the things he's like yeah yeah he cuts me off he always seems like he drinks way too much coffee that's his demeanor is he's always super high strung like he's just always jittery from coffee that's just how he always is so he always cuts you off in the middle mid sentence and all that and it's kind of frustrating but I've learned to deal with it but after an hour of this he goes you know what I can't buy these I'm gonna wait what what do you mean you can't buy these okay so yeah I just you know I only buy American and all this stuff and I'm like um I'm all that's not true I've bought many different bars from different countries Turkish bars and and and just Austrian bars and as far as from all over the world from this guy and even poured silver hand poured stuff he's bought from people that is big bars too that stuff that's local that's not even you can't even research or Define it anywhere right I have a couple of them in my in my stack over there I'll show later so he is like I'm not gonna buy this so I chuckled I'm like I'm like are you me and uh he goes no I'm not I can't do it I'm like why not so I don't know if they're real I'm like okay do you have a metal Linux machine right and um he's like no I don't believe in those I'm like okay now I'm questioning buying anything from him in the past I'm like oh shoot I need to test all my stuff so now I'm getting mad I'm like okay I can't trust if you are if you're what you're taking in is real or not I'm like here throw a magnet on I got a magnet right here oh I'll use my own magnet thank you I'm like okay puts it on their slide super slow right and the whole time I've been showing him that they're on SD bullion they're on Monument Metals they're on all this other stuff and I'm like and it's pristine brand new stuff I could have brought him toned up um silver Town bars and all that and he's like well if you would have brought those out of the bottom right away I'm like why what's the difference silver town is not they're not they don't go through the strenuous process that these go through the lbma bars are in a system and they have to get acid they have to get all these tests all these things done in order to make sure that these are all legit before they ever go out or registered with the lbma right they're super scrutinized and I'm trying to explain that to them he doesn't want to hear he doesn't want to learn and he's had this place for 43 years and I just can't believe he's never heard of any of these places he's never seen a Comax bar he said multiple things and I'm like so after an hour of him wasting my time I was pissed because that was the last thing I didn't think after an hour he's going to be like yeah I'm he's all you're going to be mad at me I'm already frustrated dude like I'm already frustrated like I've been here an hour and you just keep typing the same exact thing in your computer and you keep cutting me off and trying to educate you and you don't want to hear it I just I I'm I'm already frustrated like I don't want to leave on this note but like I don't know and now you're telling me you don't want to buy these bars and I got to go out of town for a little bit I'm late and now I gotta hide this stuff in my car and worry about somebody breaking into my car and bring this stuff with me and I'm an hour and a half away from the house right gotta pick up kids in three hours from from school so I leave I leave with this box of silver 100 ounces of silver that I did not think that he would turn them turn away because he doesn't have anything in his case people aren't selling to him because he's a weirdo so and I didn't want to believe it the other LCS around the corner tried to warn me and he's all just wait you you'll you'll realize it well I called the other LCS and I said hey man I got eight Nader bars and um they deer bars however you say it and a couple igr bars do you buy those he goes absolutely he's all I got a bunch of igr bars right now and um two kilo nadir bars in my case right now so I buy them all the time they're great products I'm like right he said let me guess the other shop didn't want to buy them I'm like yep I'm on hour we sat there basically doing nothing looking on the computer over and over and over again getting you know expecting different results but getting the same results and he's like look at just bring him by I said look at I'm I'm I'm late to be somewhere right now I can't I can't stop in there he ate up an hour of my time I left frustrated told him that I'm going over here to see you and you probably wouldn't have a problem with it he's all looking that guy does that twice a day every day of the week we get people that come over frustrated wondering why that guy acts the way he acts I said dude he's on I try to warn you that he does that I said yeah I didn't I didn't didn't want to believe it I built a relationship with this guy for four years now I'm going to be sitting on 100 ounces in my in my vehicle worrying that someone's gonna break in my car and steal 100 ounces of silverette on my vehicle so anyways I tell them look at I'll bring him in he's all over closed Mondays uh bring him into bringing in Tuesday I said okay I'll bring it on Tuesday no problems give me spot he's all how they look I'm still in the wrapper they still got the they still got the COA they're they're brand new out of a Monster Box he's like cool well we'll take them all we'll take anything you got people are coming in like crazy right now we're busy and um I'll take all the silver you got I said all right cool well all right long story long here once again I that whole day I was super frustrated I was mad I was really mad like I was pissed because when I left there me and him we started arguing a little bit and I just told them you know what I'm done with you dude I'm not coming back down here no more um I was warned that you do this and uh and and I didn't want to believe it I built this relationship with you and kind of put the other guys aside for four years and um was warned that you do this stuff and I'm just not ever coming back to you he's like yeah yeah that's fine that's fine whatever and now I know why he has no silver in this case it's because he and I know he's got the money because I've he's bought 40 grand for the stuff for me once before but yeah it was super frustrating I wasn't going to make this video because I don't want people to think that these are this is bad silver it's not this is great stuff beautiful low over spot stuff that that does really well anywhere but you you know sometimes you run into somebody with these coin shops and they have certain pet peeves and you don't want to disrespect them you know and uh you know and you like to think that a lot of them know everything or have seen everything over 43 years but they just haven't we out here in this community learn a lot of stuff in a very fast-tracked way and we know a lot of information that a lot of people just don't know even people that own coin shops those coin shop guys get stuck in their little corner In Their little world and they really don't they're disconnected to the premiums to uh you know they just pay attention to spot price and whatever comes in the door they don't know different products they don't shop around they don't use a lot of them don't use vendors so don't base one experience on [Music] um you know buying products I've already rethought reevaluated what I'm going to buy from now on on Silver I'm like okay I'm just gonna buy you know Royal Canadian Mint 10 ounce bars you know but they're super expensive you know things like that and then I thought to myself I'm like you know what you know I'm not gonna base my stacking and my searching for cheap silver which I know is beautiful beautiful perfect products I'm not going to base my strategy on one guy's opinion one guy's pet peeve and his shop you know especially when I call around the corner or call other people and they're like yeah not a problem we'll buy all that they buy jewelry they buy any kind of gold and silver this guy just has some really odd ways of looking at things and um and I need to you know for a minute there I was stressed I was tripping I was like okay I can never buy this kind of stuff again no lbma bars I know this know that um I can only buy you know government minted Boolean or something like that and that's just not true it's not true now if I would have went in there with eagles Maples um Royal Canadian Mint bars Silvertown bars he would have bought them he would have bought them and that's just because they're a more well-known product and maybe maybe it's all his customers want but I've been a customer of his for four years and I buy probably more than anybody else at that place I mean I buy him out clean him out all the time somebody brings in you know 100 ounces I go in there the next day and buy it all out 60 ounces 40 ounces whatever I buy I clean them out so I'm not going to base my strategy based on one guy's opinion and what he wants in his shop you know most local coin shops they'll take anything and everything you got from the weirdest 80 silver coins from other countries to your 10 ounce bars to junk silver to jewelry broken jewelry a lot of them will take all that stuff because over 40 something years they've built a a way to bring things to refineries or sell them or you know they just they've built a way to to deal with that business this guy hasn't and I didn't want to see it I kind of liked the guy because he's in the prepping and stuff like that but the other guy tried to warn me and he's like the dude's odd just you're gonna figure that out sooner or later but yep that relationship is gone I will never go back to that guy again which sucks he's the cheapest I've found and he just doesn't ever have anything so and now I know why is because he turns a lot of people away people he turns people away with beautiful products he turned that one lady away old lady had like eight or ten ounces all Saint Gardens beautiful coins and he turned her away and if he's going to do things like that which it's the United States coinage you know then maybe he just doesn't have the money or maybe uh who knows what it is um I think what it is really is that he thinks that people are selling him bogus stuff and he gets a weird feeling because he's very skittish and then he passes thinking it's fake and I'm like buy an xrf machine buy a metallics machine oh those things don't work they're they're not accurate and they don't work they're gimmicks I'm like okay well many many other people use these products and they're they're great so now I've got a question all the stuff that I've purchased from him in the past which I've I've tested most of it already and and I'll have to test the rest but it's legit but very odd situation so don't base your you know one opinion on on uh you know your purchases these are great products they sell very well and and they're great for stacking all right thank you everybody for coming by it is a Savage stacker I truly appreciate everybody
