[Music] he includes you in his jokes a lot how does that make you feel proud yeah and there is no pretense in that and everything that he you know share with his audience are all too but of course you know a comedian has to spice up their jokes I mean it cannot deliver a dry job oh yeah majority of the jokes are real I really happen so he gets his skit from you where does he get his humor from I don't know I am a joker myself I guess as you can see you know the spontaneous comments or whatnot I don't know I I'm myself sometimes I'm not I'm amazed because I had my own radio right and if I have guests I can prop them with question right related to their status and I guess that's he got it from me I'm so practicing right let's talk about racing jo koy because obviously he's the most recognizable Filipino one of the most recognizable Filipino names right now when you were racing him did you have any inkling of what he was gonna do later on in life well when he was high school he started liking comedy he loves to watch Eddie Murphy and he likes the word Sinbad and Bill Cosby so I figured why that why comedy that joke of jo koy is true because I believe in going to college having a degree thinking about your future and having a steady income nice so I know that being a comedian is not a steady income job right so that joke of Joe that I am against that I want to be I want him to the UH nurse or a doctor is very very true um you were just being a very typical mom yes a lot of moms out there especially Asian moms especially feeling getting lots of how long did it take you to accept that that was the path that your son was taking because Joe was buried that that is the profession that he wants we're doing the face that well you know he's like when I'll tell him something said mom you know this is what I want I will continue this you know in so many ways in fact I told him to take journalism because if that is what he wants I want him to know more about language and grammar and all of that because I know he's gonna be using that to this profession but he did not he just went ahead and and do the comedy and all of that but you know what I'm so proud that he chose that because now he's one of them yeah at what point did you realize that it was a lost cause that you couldn't anymore and you just had to accept that that's what he was going to do when we had a show in in Vegas I invited a colonel who is a plastic surgeon at the Nellis Air Force Base I invited him to watch Joe Cole show at the hundreds of theatres and I also invited the manager of the call center of Caesars Palace when they were there after the show they popped my shoulder and they grabbed me and they said your son will go places at that point did you realize that he's made it because when he was when he was in Vegas he said mom I've got to go to LA because they are amateurs and I got a chance when he went to Laugh Factory at North Hollywood and California one night there was an agent of Jay Leno yes and when he delivers his skin because that is where they go to practice their you know punch line and all of that if it's gonna be bought up by the audience and the agent was there after that show that agent approached Joe and asked him would you like to guest I'm so proud to say say that and proud to share that for everyone and that really that is so heartwarming for me that here's my son that I thought being a comedian is not gonna take him anywhere and here he is paying my mortgage and I'm so proud of it you know he put me in such financial status that unbelievable what message would you want to tell him right now you know I am very proud of him and you know being at the status right now and hearing all the comments from Filipinos how good is and how giving it back and like I said I'm proud of him and you know the glory is should I say that I'm experiencing right now as you can see here people surrounds me and treated me like a big pixel everything we say well you are a sailor not really it's him but the after effect of that you know I'm cherishing every moment of it and you raised him so you're the celebrity because you're them you're the mom behind Jo koy I'm proud to know that and to say yes I would admit because it's been told to me several times especially I said during the early stage of his comedy a life I told him Filipinos will love you if they see that you love your mother and logicals that is true right and so and think he you know he followed that and you respected thank you so much [Music]
