hello hi welcome ready to learn how to make a computer I hope you are cuz that's how we're gonna learn today how to build a computer just give me a second well I sit down at my seat a give me one second guys and some last minute technical problems I've had last minute technical problems like everyday for my whole life and for the rest of my life probably - see you in a sec all right so welcome to the stream welcome to Germany PC computer doctor I teach you all the things you need to know about making a computer ah let's get a seat here okay hey everybody how are you so the reason why I decided to do this is a lot of people don't know the first thing about making a computer right so I figured yeah I have a list of limited knowledge on how to do that thing so might as well do a stream where I teach everybody how to do it been in the game for about 20 years now so might as well try anyways we have our various parts in front of us right we have our motherboard our psu our graphics card our DVD CD RW drive a heater our RAM in our back plate we're gonna build a budget PC here today guys we're not gonna do anything like any crazy [ __ ] this is not gonna be like a three or four thousand dollar computer it's gonna be very very inexpensive for you to afford you understand okay so first thing is first your motherboard you can get these on Amazon you can get them on Newegg this is a gorilla extreme this is a gorilla extreme 9100 yeah you can get these on Amazon or a new egg like I said I'm just a little nervous because this is the first time I've ever decided to do something like this so bear with me I'm not very good at public speaking it's it's kind of hard for me to do sometimes so I think a bear with me well kids I remember I'm a computer I'm both computer doctor I'm not typically in front of the camera so you give me a few phones still I collect myself so this is a standard motherboard and you get that it's a gorilla like I said gorilla 9100 it's a gorilla 9100 and god I really like I really had this plan that I was gonna do this and get it get it together okay so gorilla 9100 is the best mother boy you could possibly buy for under $300 and if you really want to get anything higher than that you're gonna have to get a like in an ASIS or an is Zeus I think is what they're called god I am just uncomfortable in front of this camera okay so anyways get it together man you [ __ ] had this plan for like six months anyways this is how you build a computer we're gonna put them into components we're gonna put it in here we're going to connect the wires I'm gonna show you the correct way to do it and even though nervous might be running a little high right now we're still going to do it and I apologize if anything seems a little odd as we go along here but this is my first time doing this so anyways the first thing you need to do this is a standard ATX case okay you don't need to get a micro ATX don't need to a larger Tower these don't matter it's just a piece of steel anyway so you can actually gonna put like a piece of plastic on here if you really wanted to yeah you don't need really need to have a case as long as you can hold it together that's all that really matters so what do we do when we first get our components out of the box like you see here well the first thing we do is we season the motherboard so any standard seasoning will do like I like to do a little bit of crack crack pepper that seems to be what I usually use at least in the realm of seasonings just a little bit of stain or table salt it will do just not not too much you don't want to do too much just enough to get it on there you know I'm saying because if you over season your motherboard that's where you run into some problems you know problems where you get overheating issues you could run into some dangerous dangerous electricity problems and speaking of electricity let's get some of the other seasonings out here if you have a standard PC spice rack like I would recommend I don't like to use flat oil because flat oil causes there's FPS issues and video games I like to use I write this down if I were you this is electro sodium Tecna hydrate and gastro fluoride so those these three of what you want to use to season the motherboard and get it really nice and and crispy when it goes into the oven so this is this is just standard this is salt and a little bit of egg electro floor I'd like to combine them a little bit so once they're combined you just really want to get it on there this helps with conductivity let's just that's good you don't need very many of these but and you know you look at some people like their motherboards season two more than others right I can't tell you what combination is correct for you but what's correct for me is usually at least this much is good I like to I like to eyeball it cuz you know the end of the day doesn't really matter as long as it tastes like the way that you want to taste inside of your gaming when you're you don't playing your video games oh look too much that's all right that's okay if you put a little hold on just a little too much came out I'm just a little nervous the [ __ ] batteries are dead what everything [ __ ] doesn't go right if your vacuum if you do too much in your vacuums out of battery power you can take a little spray duster and that's enough because we don't want the whole thing to get unseasoned [ __ ] there we go that's good that's fine I care okay now another thing with the motherboard before we go any further did I put do they put any gastro fluoride on did anybody see me do that I don't think no I did I did I did this a little bit was that was the there it is this black oh okay don't do that again just a little bit is enough there we go okay the rest of you and if you have a little bit left in your hand you can just like wipe it on your pants it doesn't matter like it's fine so as we go forward here something that one really needs to be talked about which we haven't talked about very that frequently at least is if electric conductivity right because when you build a PC the really key you have to be careful of electrocuting yourself it happens like one in 10 people when they build a PC electrocute the [ __ ] out of themselves I'm not going to be one of those people I'm very very careful especially when I'm dealing with the components that are plugged in to be very careful about that so what we're gonna do is some people like to use wrist straps I'm not one of those people I like to go a little bit step further you can get Vaseline at any CVS or Walgreens or anything but it really it helps so much to counteract any potential conductivity so let's just get a nice health healthy layer here because once we start working with other components for instance like the graphics card the RAM the memory that this is where it gets dangerous so you really want to work in some vas Lena's anywhere and get it like I said your local Walgreens Walmart depending where you are now this makes it impossible for you to conduct any electricity because it's petroleum jelly it does not conduct electricity so at this point I think it's time we move on and we've seasoned our motherboard well as long as it's sitting there and marinades for a few minutes then it'll be it'll be perfectly fine once we get it in the actual tower so let's move on to the RAM because the RAM is abuzz from the first component you put into a computer will be your memory because it's the easiest to put in doesn't take very much effort don't take very much time to get it in there so let's just move this out of the way I do so let's just get this something this is a standard standard egg wash for those of you that uh that don't know cuz this lets your RAM get nice and crispy when it goes in there just just once one stop to stop slipping around get it coated with the egg and then that goes into the flour a nice crispy a coating is what you're looking for here and something very important if you don't know if you put more than one stick of RAM in a piece of in a PC it'll explode so this is one DDR six 64 gigabyte of RAM and and one through this where does it go right right here no right here okay so once it's coated once you get the nice egg wash on it you want to really just mmm where's my now you can do this with your hands but I but I like to I like to make sure it gets in there when I said nice and thick so let's get that in there right line it up and you remember it only goes in one way does not go in any other way it's at the right way if it doesn't go in the first time you know you know you're doing something wrong so I know and I hold on this is why it's so hard to [ __ ] deep batter a piece of RAM cuz you you don't you want the skin on there there we go that in there okay again if it doesn't go in and then you there it is now to make sure it's secure it's in there the RAM our RAM is in there let's just give it a few taps of the hammer this will ensure complete and total connection with the with the device in the memory you want a very hard connection there if any prongs aren't connected then you're in deep [ __ ] so that's good with that let's now let's do the what let me see what if what should go next s cuz that'll stay there that's fine ah the the CPU right the CPU so when you take that happens when you have a something all over you you know it's okay speaking of that I need to reapply it's been like 30 or 40 seconds right I need to be really careful you can die when making a PC if you didn't know you can actually [ __ ] die you don't you [ __ ] around with electricity as my father used to say don't [ __ ] around with electricity you'll die and that should be enough good enough coating thermal compound is a scam all you need is a little bit of Vaseline just get that run on the bottom there if you can see sure it's smeared on there cuz this will be your thermal compound essentially is what you you're looking for now when dealing with a CPU this is a 12 core processor do not [ __ ] with these you have to be very gentle when you put it in if you are not gentle when putting it in this slot you're gonna end up with a massive issue little bit of electro fluoride stuck my hand so very carefully you want to match the prongs up it only goes one way does not go in any other way it only goes in one direction just like the band just think about your favorite band once it's in there remember I told you only goes in one way it's not that way either it's like putting on a bedsheet you know how hard it is sometimes to put on a bedsheet you get it one way it's horizontal it's vertical you don't have it correct there it is don't get fret don't get frustrated like I am just let it get in there on it so you know there's a little bit problem is if my seasoning got in there it ain't gonna go in then you sometimes you have to return it I hate I absolutely hate our remaining equipment it's so [ __ ] annoying when it doesn't work you get it out of the box and it's not work it's not the thing that you thought you bought and make sure you match up the correct air it goes ghetto it goes in one way listen as an extra complaint the companies add those to make it just so they look cool okay now the CPU is in there one last sit don't recommend more than one hit with a hammer this is your bro this is your this is your what is this device supposed to be a goddamn computer doctor it's the it's the heatsink this is what this is that's what this is it's the heatsink what you're supposed to do is if you put a little bit more extra thermal compound on there close this up tighten it mmm you'll hear a snap sometimes that's a okay that's okay doesn't matter as long as you get it on there correctly it doesn't really matter remember with your plugs if you're plugging in a device into a motherboard you got to make sure you're in the right place because there are a time and time again I've seen customers put plug in their devices into the wrong slots so make sure you know where this is going this is a three prong look for the three prong it is right here on my motherboard it's different on yours if you're following along so this sits on right here this plugs in right here it only goes in one way so make sure you get it correct it's kind of like a USB Drive you never kind of get it right the first time at least in my professional opinion that's in now we need our screwdriver or yes ma'am I can actually I can sit here for now what let's put the other components in no there's my screwdriver huh don't you know I mean like what a dolt didn't know what my screwdriver was so let's get that screwed in should I use a little one or should I use the big one let's go with the big one this is this right screw remember to keep your screws in the same place where you know where they are that's not the right squirrel where is the screw here I don't know where that screw is well if you if you'll end up losing a screw it's okay what you can use instead is just grab it I know this is for like an emergency I don't know what I did with it this is why they have the cupholders on the case make sure make sure when you're building your PC you use the issued cup holder that they put on all cases you see this thing I wasn't using it it's alright water evaporates once this gets put in here to live a print about 25 minutes so that's okay mistakes happen and that's fine as long as you move it out of the way well I don't know I didn't know I don't know where the I don't know where the the I don't know why this is still up here we're we're done with our egg wash we can move this down that's fine this kit this can go in I think it's time I know we're done I got to get the graphics card too sometimes I forget oh boy don't you know I mean forgot about the graphics card so the graphics card because this is a budget PC this does not need to be anything too fancy this is a I got this off of ebay this is an AGP graphics card which don't listen to the [ __ ] [ __ ] don't listen to like Nvidia or AMD telling you you have to have like a Titan 2x 5500 it's not true this will run any video game that you want to play at at least at the very least 16 to 18 frames a second that's all you need the human eye can't see past 22 anyway so who cares so what you want to do is let's get this first of all remember to always always season your parts and your components there's just a little bit of PAM you know nothing special we'll go here perfect you want to get it in that slot before it dries that's incorrect remember I think yeah USB Drive don't you know any B's of things you don't get it the first right and every part will go right in without a problem you don't have to really force it you don't kind of put an edge on it or anything like that just goes right in like so that should be in there good we are complete here we have our RAM we have our graphics card CPU and heatsink it doesn't it doesn't have to be connected it's okay that it doesn't need to be connected and we have our GPU there so this is now ready to be placed inside so what you have to do now is get your station correct is it the rest of these components go in later they go and after you screw in your your motherboard don't do it in reverse because they otherwise you're not gonna really get your hands in there so do it this way first so you have all your [ __ ] together and you know where everything is let's get that season begin just to make it is you know the smell fills the air you know the smell fills the air and it smells fantastic let's go ahead and guess you don't get any [ __ ] liquid in here I've done that before and it's not pretty season this move that down prop we don't need it anymore for at least a few minutes way too this is our DVD drive it's okay you just sit it wherever for now okay we're gonna smile but a smile one can't believe I [ __ ] up unbelievable I didn't use the [ __ ] see how it unscrews now something you make mistakes that's okay you're gonna make mistakes your your 485 dollar budget computer is gonna turn into $25,000 because you make mistakes we're all Cuban it's supposed to use the cup holder and I didn't it's okay you think the stink just keeps hanging over and over again and maybe they'll believe you so now the next part what we're gonna do here folks ladies and gentlemen folks we're going to turn this on its side so okay like I told you this doesn't matter it's just it's just simply it's just simply for storing your give up ow uh-huh ow he got stabbed that's okay sometimes you get stabbed be careful with your components so this is gonna sit if you don't know if you've never seen the inside of a computer before when this is it when that's in there that around here oh okay okay what everything's fine notice how nothing happened there actually we made out on top here cuz the here's the problem with the heatsink the heatsink has if you see the heatsink has a bunch of these coils and rings they kind of just get in the way you don't I mean I don't like to have it on in the first place and that manufacturers these companies they make them impossible to remove all you need is the fan if you see all you need is the fan to sit with some thermal compound these rings don't do anything it's extra bloat so the company can make some more manufacturing money on metal and plastic so we've had that's a wedding ladies and gentlemen that's a win winning you know I mean like winning is Charlie Sheen that guy so uh so what we have here is we have a completely assembled motherboard and and we're gonna put that in here just like this ladies and gentlemen just like this we're gonna get that stuck in here and a standard screwdriver with your screws which I have a few here that's fun so this goes in like this if you were ever curious like I said if you've never seen the inside of a computer before this is what it looks like but kind of wouldn't it but kind of look at the Skellington we're looking at the skeleton of the computer you want to make sure the backplate here comes off make sure you turn it upside down first you can remove this and the backplate didn't come off yet I like to use the claw they all come with this installed pre so you just use the claw to get it off it's fine see what I'm gonna do here I'm going to get this outside this spot like that see how that's sticking out now now when you buy a computer I know when I was younger I used to look here's a funny story funny story when I was younger I used to go into Best Buy and I would look at the computers and look at the back of the computers and I would be like what's in there you know I mean like how the [ __ ] do you get in there I thought it was like the whole computer was a giant square filled with cement or something I didn't know what the hell is there so it's funny to see like actually the motherboard what it looks like from behind and what it looks like inside you never build a computer before it's it's pretty eye-opening but you know you have to at least have a certain amount of intelligence to do it in the first place which you know I do have it was a Mensa student if you bent it back you can bend it back the other way it's okay if it doesn't give on the first try you really you really not use the other you know this whole thing actually can be removed if you don't really want to do this that's okay we don't do that much we just needed ever get it to fit in there so there see see how that looks now so you're the graphics card is the place to go up now that that's in place we're going to we're gonna screw that in and screw it in we can potentially here we go so once this is here let's get let's clear but remember cleaning up the area is very important you don't want to have too much you know junking funkin [ __ ] in your way when you're trying to work so anytime you have an opportunity to reevaluate your work area I highly recommend you do it [ __ ] around electricity you don't want that to be a thing once that's done we can use our screws here they're down here got one here okay and just the motherboard screws into the back of mother wood screws into the back so once you get that complete you'll have it set here so it won't be moving around during the rest of the procedure the rest of the building as long as one's in there as long you look I know some experts some experts will tell you you need to have them all screwed in it's a bunch of baloney don't [ __ ] worry about it as long as you get one or two screwed in it's not going anywhere you don't have to worry about that one last thing before you vote for the motherboard this is the motherboard battery I know maybe you can't see but look that's the motherboard battery it goes right in here it slips in kind of like a little coin that when you were kid you into the arcade machine I mean it slips right in there it just clicks in there just goodness imagine imagine you get that sound like Mario sound when you think of a coin how does it go again does uh how does that sound go do something like that well I lost it so these are your fans the fans go into they plug in pretty much on wherever you can find a spot on the motherboard which can be tricky I like to just find like this over here you can see sure make sure I want to make sure the audience to see what I'm doing here plug it in the fans now there are I think it's so 4w ATX is the name of the slot you pretty much gravy like that again it's kind of like a uh kind of like a you got like a USB never goes in right there the first way right even if you don't get it off like then it's okay as long as long as you get one the fan control there should be able to to take it all in that consideration so that's okay main power supply for the CPU that's already in make sure that I don't know there that goes to but that's alright no no that's in that is in place we have our PC components in there everything is good to go this back up so you guys can see now that that's settled and ready the fan is already installed comes pre-installed on both computers that's fine okay I'm trying to think of where we can put the thing away we can put the birdhouse if you have a bird right on you buddy make sure there's a birdhouse in there just in case you want to make any tweets that's how it happens folks that's how it works okay the birdhouse is now in oh [ __ ] forgot all computers require yeah come on bird get in there man and one of the final components spell of people don't know this but computers run on diamonds this is a quarter cup of diamonds you don't need a fancy expensive diamonds either you all you need is you need standard diamonds they don't to be the cut a certain way just a quarter cup will do you don't need much more than that remember this is a budget PC so a budget PC does not mean that we take out components that are essential they have to run on diamonds it's very important now we got the DVD drive that works DVD Drive goes up here make sure it's facing the right way because you never want to have to have it a situation where you have to go in like open up the side of your computer to get in there and turn DVD or put on Lake Freck or Shrek - isn't that what kids watch these days so make sure it's going the right way which it is it is and don't [ __ ] up your bird hugs because there's only one you know you belong the birdhouses in there it's fine the bird will sit there and yes yes this is a dead bird because I had I'm just demonstrating you know you wouldn't get typically you wouldn't typically need to do that you would have a real birdhouse in here this is Jeff for demonstration that's why the back is open on the side here except bird can come in and up you see I just wanted to make sure that I had a dead bird to show you see here that's where this ends up sticking and the bird flies in and out here okay just to make sure you guys are aware of that so let's get this in any CD or DVD Drive goes in takes a little bit of effort but a little slide in here and be sticking on the front least I hope so otherwise I'm in trouble I mean I don't know then you know you may need to get the hammer in there and see all it takes is a little bit of elbow grease sometimes okay see what I got here now you can you can see in there you just that button puts the DVD out see it's right there it's ready to go it might if you don't get it in all the way it's okay as long as you get it into somewhat a normal fashion right so this thing is almost ready to go there's only a few more things that have to be done and just want to make sure the area is clean it is screw in this last thing I miss need to be spread about evenly you don't want a situation we don't have enough diamonds on one component graphics card is in birdhouse needs to be in okay the last thing that I want to do with this all the power supply doing yeah don't so the power supply doesn't it just just go in it doesn't matter where it goes remember these components are durable don't believe I read forums all the time of people telling me uh Joe be careful with these components you know you sneeze the wrong way and they won't work it's a bunch of pits a bunch of corporate company [ __ ] for a way to sell more [ __ ] steel more plastic it's a way for them to do that so with these what I like to do once it's in here is I like to guess because all the power goes to the same places doesn't matter as long as you get into the right spot so let's try to get few in here this is your main power supply that goes directly in here that connects to the CPU that one is good and a little slippery from the vaseline but gotta be safe rather than sorry that's not right it goes here okay there we go so we got our first plug plugged in you can actually have it out for now see what the hell we're doing I mean so these plug in and some other boards don't have enough spots that's okay as long as you get most of them plugged in no doesn't go back here this one plugged in there this one goes in this slot don't be afraid to use the back plate either when you're using this because as long as they go in somewhere and the rest I think are okay some of these are for fans that don't exist so as long as that is secured in there then you go now comes my favorite part baby this is what this is the reason well no backplate doesn't matter it's in there so now that we have our complete PC built it's done it's ready to be plugged in but hold on just one second there ladies and gentlemen what about the front you would say hey what about the case you gotta close that up and I would say yes you do absolutely what uh we can go flashier than this I recommend if you want to impress your friends you want to show them how just how cool you are and you have the money to spend it I would get one of these I would make a statement and if you won't hurry what I'm talking about here I'm talking about a real statement a see-through gold plate a see-through gold-plated ah seafood just so uh we think I think what the mic is still hot yeah it is okay so uh a couple of things I need to make sure I'm very very aware of here is uh don't don't try this at home don't [ __ ] around here uh we had a little bit of fun tonight don't buy that was that just if you're curious that was candy I made a candy table I made a candy glass not real everything's fine don't worry that was not real just need to be very clear about this don't try this [ __ ] at home don't [ __ ] be stupid like I am it was fake it was a joke so thank you for sticking around with a PC built it's done and it's ready to be used immersion broken yeah well it happens right so now I have to clean up because it's a [ __ ] mess down here but uh I think I couldn't see any bits or anything couldn't read anything but thanks for sticking around thanks to Sam by the way for making that uh the logo there that was good and that concludes the joke for the evening so thank you all so much for watching I have to take a time to clean now so good night I'll see you guys tomorrow I'm gonna play condemned to tomorrow we had a test run no that's not gonna work good night everybody I'll see you guys tomorrow
