let's check in with chief neurologist jeff vernier right now and jeff i went outside briefly today and it just felt so nice to have the sun beating on me much warmer than it was a few days ago you got that right and hopefully everybody got outside to enjoy it like you did today because tomorrow going to be a lot different for us as that chance of rainfall is well holding on i did want to start off tonight with a look at howard but should still manage to hold on for some rain for us from 2 p.m into 10 p.m tomorrow so that's the zone of what i'm looking at for those rain chances storm range or mobile doppler radar the only one in the bay area currently showing that dry scan here from santa rosa down to san jose a reminder you can go to the nbc bay area app you can pull up the weather section and you can click on the storm ranger truck and you can see what that storm ranger is showing as our rain arrives tomorrow so check that out nbc barrier app in the weather section okay we'll get you into the future cast tomorrow morning i think we are dry we have the clouds with us then the storm systems moving down from the north it's not the best path for big rain forests we really need to see these storms move in from the west pick up that pacific moisture for those stronger storms but nonetheless we'll get some rainfall developing by 2 p.m here on friday over the north bay and this will be a gradual push to the south as we head through tomorrow afternoon and evening by 7 pm we'll see some spotty showers over the east bay the peninsula and the south bay as well and then eventually by 11 o'clock at night tomorrow most of that activity would begin to move on out so totals with this not extremely high but i think we're good for about 500 of an inch to 3 500 of an inch on average with that best chance of higher totals right here over santa rosa with 2700s 3700s in napa and there you can see it's less as we move to the south livermore 10th of an inch san jose also a tenth of an inch so be ready for that rainfall bring your umbrella and that jacket temperatures will start off on the cool side but not as cold as we've been the cloud cover acts like a blanket so this will keep us to 47 in the south bay and more of those 40s for the east bay san francisco and the north bay we'll warm up tomorrow but not a whole lot 58 here in santa rosa 60 in livermore 59 san jose and my forecast in palo alto at 58. so hold on to a chance of a spotty shower into early saturday morning then most of the weekend will be dry also into monday and some spotty chances of rain tuesday wednesday and thursday and right here across the inland valleys we're also looking at a spotty chance into early saturday morning then we're drying out saturday sunday and monday with some more rain chances into next week raj and janelle i did the tally and i'm sure everybody at home will be happy to hear that after 17 days of 100 or hotter this summer i do not see any coming our way over the next couple of weeks or months for that matter so goodbye one hundreds i think everybody's kind of welcoming this weather right we're into that and and jeff look at janelle's background she's matching the sky that is not like a taped photo that is a live shot outside it looks gorgeous beautiful sunset tonight thanks jeff beautiful
