uh this weekend we know you had so much already planned and then now the weather's kind of getting in there throwing a wrench in it so i wanted to make sure that we section this out for you and i wanted to start off with a bullet point form of uh what's going to be coming our way so you know exactly what to expect and we are looking at mountain gusts out of the northeast 20 to 50 miles per hour a sustained wind that's our steady wind of 5 to 20 and the number one risk based on the current data would be for the north bay mountains a thousand feet and above and we're also getting into some warmer temperatures the coast to san francisco builds into the 70s and 80s by sunday and also some of the hottest temperatures start to return on sunday 95 to 100. now i do want to get into the wind because that's the most critical thing of course with our fire danger and you'll see once we hit 6 pm on saturday it's really all not that bad but then as we roll into 4 a.m on sunday notice how the wind starts to pick up in the north bay over to about vacaville and some of this red color here those are some of those top wind gusts that could get close to 50 miles per hour again early sunday morning once we hit midday sunday a little bit of a break here and then you'll notice across the north bay we start to see that wind popping again by about 10 o'clock at night so we've got the wind to worry about the smoke not as bad as we have been dealing with the past several weeks when it was bad we'll see moderate to good air quality tomorrow and that's because a lot of the fires in oregon do have some higher containment so we're just not seeing as much smoke move down for us tomorrow morning we'll start off in the low 60s forest here 65 in the east bay san francisco down to 58 and the north bay at 66. my temperatures tomorrow start to warm up but i think it'll be manageable if you have to do stuff outside tomorrow is going to be the best day 84 in san jose 87 in morgan hill right to the east bay we do start to go up to some 90s here over livermore and also for pleasanton walnut creek at 90 closer to the bay i've been getting to feel some of that heat in oakland at 81 degrees peninsula have you had 84 in palo alto and 79 in san mateo san francisco beginning to move up into the 70s tomorrow 76 in the mission 74 in the embarcadero and for the north bay not extremely hot but we're going up to 90 in santa rosa also 89 in sonoma so again sunday do look for those hotter temperatures to start to build i've got it up to 84 in san francisco on sunday we'll keep up some 80s through tuesday and then we'll start to see those numbers beginning to drop into next week for the inland valleys we are at 100 on sunday 101 on monday and then we got to wait for it by friday we're down to 96 and then for the following weekend we should have some upper 80s and low 90s returning oh man you know putting this forecast together it wasn't exactly the best mood around my desk today because we aren't we just sick and tired of the heat earlier this month we had 111 which was the hottest september day ever and you know here we go again at least it's not going to be 111 so if we got to find a bright spot uh you know that's gonna be at my forecast right now yeah i guess we'll take a hundred over 111. certainly yes all right jeff exactly all right thanks so much
