let's bring in jeffrey neary now talk about our changing forecast and looks like we have some rain on the way jeff we still are holding on to that possibility here of a little bit of rain in the next 48 hours we'll get you right off here with tomorrow morning's forecast and i do expect that cloud cover to linger even a few areas of patchy morning fog that i want you to watch out for and overall the good news on the temperatures not quite as cold as it was when we started off the week remember we had those 20s and those low 30s well we'll start off here in the south bay tomorrow morning with 43 degrees you need the jacket but again not as cold 42 in the peninsula and 40 for the tri-valley my coldest spot will continue to be the north bay again not near the freezing widespread but i've got the average here at 38 degrees through tomorrow daytime highs really don't adjust a whole lot and that's because the cloud cover we've had lately we're going to see some of that continue at least through the midday hours then through the afternoon we'll get a little bit of sun and that'll make it a little bit more enjoyable down here to san jose 61 cupertino 62. and temperatures continue to look very similar no matter where you go we've had these back-to-back systems really helping to level out these conditions 63 in livermore and up to vallejo 61. and see what i mean here over to the peninsula 61 of palo alto and to san mateo 60. san francisco 50s across the board here my forecast in the mission 59 to the outer sunset 56 and notice the winds are relatively light here through our microclimates up into the north bay winds out of the northwest at six and over to santa rosa 61 degrees so tomorrow is dry but again some rainfall on the way i do expect this storm system to be off to the north by friday morning but then as we head to the afternoon and evening we'll see the chance here some widespread rain through the bay area doesn't look like a big storm but enough to get the roads wet and that will also bring some snow to the sierra so on my extended forecast things have condensed in terms of when and how much rain we're thinking friday's the best chance 500 of an inch to 35 hundredths and just an early spotty chance on saturday morning and we'll see another chance here once we hit next wednesday 50's and 60's for highs in san francisco and temperatures inland also very similar with plenty of 60s i think we'll warm it up a little bit here once we hit next monday and tuesday's forecast we'll go back into friday here when we get that rain it's also going to mean sierra snow so good for the snowpack we picked up about a foot a little bit more in some locations last weekend and on this coming friday we'll see about another foot at some of the highest elevations so every little bit we can get is going to help with that growing drought we have right now raj and jessica we don't mind it at all thank you jeff good seeing you
