welcome back I'm Robert breaker and we are continuing our verse-by-verse Bible study through the book of James today we're going to start chapter 2 of the book of James I'm looking forward to this then looking forward to this for some time and they're getting into chapter 2 starting to get into the meat of the book and we're gonna find even more where the book of James is looking like it's two Jews waiting from the kingdom or the best way to say this to Jews in the tribulation because in the tribulation Kingdom they realize who Jesus is and they're waiting for Jesus so let me draw up here real quick what we've seen so far and if you would go to James chapter 1 and verse 1 again and I forgot to give you this first we're gonna go to James 1 1 then we're gonna go to acts 8:1 but here we are again in the book of James and we're studying chapter 2 today and here we have the cross here we have the Old Testament law so the law of Moses well then we have Jesus coming rising from the dead and then we have over here of course the rapture the tribulation period and then the Millennial Kingdom of Christ so I like to try to draw this up every every time I teach I don't know why I just like to do that when I went to Bible School they did that a lot as well of course they drew it maybe a little bit different than I do but I do the best I can one guy was okay somebody sent me an email said brother breaker have you seen this new video I guess not that old or not that new now it's kind of old but they said brother breaker there's somebody that says that you stole Peter ruckman material why when you draw this up on the board while you stole that when I heard that I just laughed I paid good money to go to his Bible school so I don't feel like I stole anything I paid to learn the Bible in it and it's not a sin to teach our preach the Bible we ought to and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to do that be able to preach the Word of God to you alright so here we are today up here on the board here's the Bible laid out we're in the second chapter of the book of James and I've told you before that I believe that the book of James is written all about right here because in chapter twelve of the book of Acts what happens let's go there quickly Acts chapter twelve James the author of the book is beheaded now Acts chapter 12 in an axe chapter 12 verse 1 I believe it is it says acts 12:1 and about that time Herod the King stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church and he killed James the brother of John with the sword so I think the book of James had to be written somewhere around this time James written now I teach that James is written by James Zebedee the brother of John now you've got other Bible schools you've got other teachers and they'll say no no it's the Lord's brother well he doesn't show up until acts 15 and that's a different James and I believe as we study the book of James you can come to no other conclusion than that it's James Zebedee that was James and John Peter James and John are always together in Jesus's writings aren't excuse me in the Gospels that writing about Jesus and John was of course the brother of James this has to be that James it has to be because of so many things we're going to look at again today even because here's Jesus in his earthly ministry and Peter James and John said under Jesus for three and a half years and listen to everything that he said and a lot of what James is writing in Chapter two sounds just like it's coming out of the mouth of Jesus Christ I'm going to show you that today and it what it's talking about is the kingdom gospel so I think James was written somewhere before the time that James died now let me show you this in chapter eight first of all let's go to James 1:1 I forgot to mention this before and I'm surprised that I forgot to mention it but in James 1 1 it says James a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad greeting so the twelve tribes scattered abroad we know who the James was writing to James is written to twelve tribes scattered abroad so he's writing to all 12 of the tribes of Israel okay now when were they scattered abroad Acts chapter 8 the early church comes together in the early church is just all juice it's all Jews in the early church when is the first time we see in a Gentile gets a chapter 10 chapter 10 and 11 is the first time that we see a Gentile get saved so from here back it's nothing but juice and in Acts chapter 8 somebody gets scattered abroad what's what happens in Acts chapter 8 and Saul was consenting it to his death who's that well that would be the death of Stephen and at that time there was a great persecution against the church which is at Jerusalem and they were all scattered abroad well that's what James 1:1 says to the 12 tribes scattered abroad in that interesting we find the same terminology scattered abroad scattered abroad to the 12 it says here and two and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria except the Apostles so there were some people spread out and scattered abroad those were the early believers in Christ so these would have been Jews that were the early church early believers in the message of who remember the message of who versus what they believed in who Jesus was this was the early church was based upon believing that Jesus was the Messiah who he was later with Paul's messages you must trust in what he did it's the blood it's the blood that he was the sacrifice for the sins of the world you must trust in him to be justified for what he did for you to be safe so in Acts chapter 8 here's some people being scattered abroad and who are they they're saved Jews so as that who James is writing to now he could be writing to any Jew all 12 tribes and saying Jews get ready the kingdoms coming so if you're a Jew please read my book whether you're saved or lost but the fact that he uses the word brethren so much he says brother now is he saying brethren the sense that they are brothers in Christ or is he using the term brethren as in brothers a fellow brother of Israel and we've seen that too as we've studied so today we're gonna continue in our book of James studying verse by verse and we're going to get into Chapter two but I wanted you to understand he's writing to the 12 tribes scattered abroad I firmly believe that the author of James is this James of Peter James and John Peter wrote two epistles John wrote first second third John John and revelation five epistles so James it just stands to reason that he would have been the author he would have written one because he was so close to Jesus and as we get into this event today I'm gonna take you to the Ministry of Jesus and many of the things that Jesus says and it sounds like James is quoting Jesus Christ so it has to be that James and I don't understand how so-called scholars can get it wrong so often but they do but they do it's like they don't even read and they should so James chapter 2 and verse 1 my brethren okay so who's the brother and he's writing to anybody that's a Jew he's calling them his brother or is he writing to Christians people that believe in who Jesus was but it was still during that time of the book of Acts they were early Jude who was he writing to well he says have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of glory with respective persons so he say whoever he's writing to he's saying now you need to have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in the Lord who is the Lord Jesus the Lord Jesus the Lord Jesus Christ kind of sounds like lordship salvation a little bit there done it making Jesus your Lord as you study Matthew Mark Luke and John Jesus is always saying I'm the Lord I'm the Lord and part of the early church why they made him their Lord they took up their cross to follow him now today Jesus is our Savior yes we should say hey Lord we trust you Lord we make you Lord but it's more him being our Savior than our Lord because what does it mean Lord the Lord the king of Israel he is the king he is the Messiah and so that's what their emphasis oh it was in as the king as the Messiah of Israel as prints we could say even because the prophecies of Daniel were becoming prince who would then be king so Jesus Christ it's all about who he was later it's what he did it's all about him being the savior and how does he save us why he's our sacrifice so we got to remember that there's two main messages going on in the book of Acts and there's a transition in the book of Acts and that transition is from Jews to the church from the kingdom being possible to come in to now the church age from Israel to the church from Peter and James and John to Paul who is our apostle today and remember Paul's wonderful message that he teaches in chapter 13 that were justified by faith where is that message of justification by faith in the book of James why I don't see it in fact I see in this very chapter chapter 2 he's more talking about being justified by works so it doesn't sound like Paul so we've got a problem in the book of James unless we rightly divide and that's what we're going to do today so he says here my brother and have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of glory with respect of persons now watch what he calls Jesus Christ James calls Jesus the Lord Jesus that sounds a lot like Matthew Mark Luke and John they're always calling him Lord Lord Jesus but he also calls him the Lord of glory now what does it mean the Lord of glory well when Jesus comes again at Armageddon he comes in his glory you see he's coming first for his bride at the rapture and Paul tells us that he only comes down in the clouds and he takes us up at the rapture but when he comes back again at our mageddon this is when he comes in his glory and he comes all the way down so he comes in his glory here in his glory the glorious conquering Savior comes back on his white horse his feats the Antichrist and this is his glory his glorious coming to rule on the earth now look at what Paul says in 2nd Thessalonians and remember 2nd Thessalonians is one of the first books that Paul writes second Thessalonians here in 1:19 one of the first books that Paul writes would be Hebrews of course but then first uh solonian in 2nd Thessalonians and he's thinking of Jesus coming and he says Jesus when he comes at Armageddon he comes in his glory 2nd Thessalonians 1:9 talking about verse 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power so his power and his glory his way comes back in Armageddon yes he has glory now yes he's powerful now but the context of James is Jews in the tribulation waiting for the glorious triumphant return of the Savior so James is written here but it's written about this time let me let me make that out of the way there I put that kind of in the way I'll put that back up justified by faith according to Paul today okay I'm gonna put that there but here in this tribulation time this is what old James is writing about for when the Jews are here and so this is what you got to get a hold of as we read the book of James it's very hard to try to apply all the passage of James to the church age today because it's so much different than Paul it must have been written first and it must be writing to Jews in the future now like I said we can take some of the book and try to apply it to the church because it is written during the time of the early church when it was still only Jews but doctrinally much of the book is for Jews waiting for the coming kingdom now back to James chapter 1 verse 1 chapter 2 verse 1 my brother and have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of glory with respect of persons so there is a faith there is a faith in the book of James what is the faith in in the Lord the faith of our Lord Jesus the Lord of glory so their faith is in the Lord what would a Jew be waiting for and what would his faith be in during the tribulation period he's believing now that Jesus is the Messiah thankfully because during that time they understand and believe that Jesus is the Messiah and so they say oh it's Jesus so their faith would be in Jesus the Lord that's what the book of Hebrews is written to try to show the Jew and that Jesus is the Messiah he's the Lord he's God he's the creator so their faith would be in Jesus in his soon coming in his glory and it says not to have a respect of persons now I don't know if I get into respective persons here I'll take the label later we see that also and I think I talked about that there so we'll skip over that now and let's go to verse 2 for if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring and goodly apparel and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment now what I want to do is I'm going to go ahead and read verse 2 all the way down to verse 6 and then we'll comment verse by verse but I want I want you to get the context here okay for if they're coming to your assembly verse 2 a man with a gold ring in goodly apparel and they're coming also a poor man and vile raiment and ye have respect to him that wears the gay clothing and say to him sit down here in a good place and say to the poor stand now there are sent here under my footstool are ye not then partial in yourselves and our become judges of evil thoughts hearken my beloved brethren hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom was the kingdom well the kingdom out here so clearly he's talking about heirs of the king he says rich in faith heirs of the kingdom which he had promised to them that love him but she have despised the poor do not rich men oppress you and draw you before the judgment seats well let me just go and read verse 7 - do not they blaspheme that worthy name by which ye are called here we have the name again remember as we went through the book of Acts it was all about in the early part of the book of Acts out the name believe in the name of Jesus is about the name of Jesus why because it was all about who Jesus is Jesus's name is jeff' Yeshua seuss Jehovah saves Jay Seuss is a compound word and it means Jehovah saves so Jesus Christ is Jehovah manifest in the flesh come to save those that are lost now going back to verse 2 he says if there come unto your assembly assembly a man with a gold ring now I looked up the word assembly do you realize that's a Jewish term let's go back to Joel chapter one several times in the Old Testament God is talking to Israel about when they come together in the synagogue and he says your assembly so let's go to Joel chapter one in verse 14 Joel 1:14 you always need to look upwards in the Bible always take a word and then try to find that other word somewhere else in the Bible it always gives light Joel 1:14 says sanctify gfs call a solemn assembly gather the elders and all the inhabit of the land of the house of the Lord your God and cry unto the Lord why verse 15 alas for the day for the day of the Lord is at hand and as a destruction from the Almighty it shall come why the day of the Lord is at hand the destruction that's when Jesus comes in at Armageddon so here he's stalling the the Jews to call together and assembly now let's go to the Joel chapter 2 verse 15 Joel 2:15 blow the trumpet in Zion where Zion well that's Israel sanctify fast call a solemn assembly now I love the context here verse 16 gather the people sanctify the congregation assemble the others to gather the children and those that suck the breasts let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber and the bride out of her closet at the rapture the bride goes up with Christ and they're in their chamber for a while we have the honeymoon if you will and then what do we do we come back with Jesus at Armageddon kind of an interesting thing there now let's go to Zephaniah chapter 3 but notice the word call a solemn assembly in the context is the Jews coming together look at Zephaniah hope you can find the book of Zephaniah cover little or Bullock only has a couple of chapters I always get it confused with Zechariah of course but it's there Stefan ayat has three chapters right before Hagee I guess F&I chapter three and verse eighteen clearly God is speaking to Israel verse 14 and look what it says here's here's an interesting thing whenever you've seen the Bible they that call upon the name of the Lord oftentimes that the context is always with the Jew calling on the Lord I find that so interesting for example is up an ayah 3 verse 9 for then I will turn to the people of pure language that they may all call upon the name of the Lord to serve him with one consent all about the name well in the tribulation they're calling on the name of the Lord please come back please bring in your kingdom now yes you can call upon the name Lord today by prayer and talking to God if you will but it's not what saves us what saves us is faith from the heart to me calling upon the Lord for salvation is by calling from the heart in trusting in the blood atonement of Christ I believe that's what salvation is according to Paul the look what it says here going over to verse 12 I will also leave in the midst of the in afflicted and poor people and they shall trust in the name of the Lord oh so it's not just calling on the Lord if a person just goes oh god save me are they safe no you got to trust in the name of the Lord you got to trust the Lord in salvation today is by believing by trusting I think that's interesting now where was I going with this Oh verse 18 looking for the word assembly verse 18 okay here we are at 7 I 3 and who is it speaking to verse 14 singing o daughter of zion shall o Israel so the context is Israel verse 16 Jerusalem and now in verse 18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly who are of thee to whom the reproach of it was a burden so here's a time when there will be a solemn assembly when we're reading in the book of James and he's writing this book to the 12 tribes scattered abroad and he's saying no you guys when you're in your assembly and God's saying that's gonna be in seven what will the assembly be well let's look at verse 19 Hagi i 3:19 behold at that time I will undo all that afflict thee and I will save her that halted and gather her that was driven out and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame at that time will I bring you again even in the time that I gather you for I will make you a name and it praise among all the people of the earth when I turn back your captivity before your eyes saith the Lord what an amazing thing there would be a time and which God's going to bring all the Jews back to Israel I guess what 1948 they became a nation why they're already there and so what's going to happen next will the rapture so that they can go through the tribulation period and then God can come back in his glory and they will have an assembly and if you know the book of Revelation you know that halfway through the tribulation while they're fleeing from the Antichrist who's trying to kill them and so there's a time of affliction it's called the time of Jacob's trouble now let's go to Hebrews let's go to Hebrews chapter 12 Paul is writing the book of Hebrews and I've told you before and I believe rightly so Hebrews 12 23 that the book of Hebrews was written by Paul and Paul most likely wrote the book of Hebrews somewhere back here after he got saved in Chapter 9 so chapter 9 is where Paul gets safe so somewhere in here so I'll just put around the same time as Hebrews written and it makes sense that these books are written early in the book of Acts when God is still dealing with the Jews and there's still the possibility of Christ coming back and they're still thinking that in their lifetime anytime the kingdom of Christ could come and so Hebrews has written sometime back later before the revelation of God to Paul in chapter 13 so what do you got well what does Paul say in the book of Hebrews remember it's called Hebrews for a reason because you're writing the Hebrews yet some of them are saved because this is the early part of the church so there's only Jews in the church at there at the beginning of the body of Christ because it's called Christ's body so the early church starts with Jesus and it's called the body of Christ because Christ is the head of the church so from when Jesus dies and then on that's starting the body of Christ now it wasn't revealed the mystery of the body of Christ wasn't revealed until to Paul later so they didn't realize they were in the body of Christ but they were I have time to get into that I have videos on YouTube about what is the body of Christ and when did the church start things like that and to show you clearly that these early Jews are indeed part of the body of Christ I don't see how anyone can miss that if they read the Bible now in Hebrews chapter 12 verse 23 we read Paul is writing and who is he writing - well Hebrews 12 let me read verse 22 first but ye are coming to mount sign unto the city of the Living God the heavenly Jerusalem to an immeasurable innumerable company company of angels to the general here's the word assembly and he says and Church of the firstborn which are written in heaven and to God the judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfect so this is quite an interesting thing Paul uses the term assembly and he doesn't just say assembly and applies it to the church he says the Assembly and Church is he calling that the first part the assembly and now us the church or what I don't know but maybe he's saying the early assembly was part of the church but it's interesting how he uses the term assembly and it's used in the context of early Jewish believers coming together and they called it an assembly when they assembled so let's go back to the book of James now back in James chapter 2 and verse 1 my brother and have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of glory with respective persons for if they're coming into your assembly okay when they all met together a man with a gold ring and goodly apparel and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment what does he say and you have respect to him that where's the gate clothing and saying to him sit down here in a good place and say to the poor stand down there or sit here under my footstool are you then are you not then partial and yourselves so what is this attacking of rich people why is he so much against the rich people well here's the thing it's very anti rich this passage very against the rich and very pro poor something about being poor look at her sick but she have despised the poor do not rich men oppress you and draw you before the judgment seat why he's changed so anti rich and so in favor of the poor well let's go back to the book of Acts Acts chapter 4 in the early book of Acts the early church the believers in Christ which were only Jews at the time over here in chapter 4 and 5 guess what they do they all come together and they sell everything they have and they divide it among themselves well if you sell everything you have then you're not rich anymore you're poor and they're sharing with others now let's look at that let's look at that in Acts chapter 4 in Acts chapter 4 verse 36 look what it says well let's let's start in verse 32 yeah verse 32 acts 4:32 in an axe for thirty-two we read and the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul neither said any of them that thought of the things which he possessed was his own but he had all things common but they had all things come and with great power gave the Apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and great grace was upon them all neither was there any among them that lacked for as many as their present were possessors of lands or houses sold them and bought the prices brought the prices of the things that were sold and laid them down at the Apostles feet and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need and it continues there verse 37 having sold lay in sold it and brought the money and laid it at the Apostles feet so there was a person who brought so in the early church there's no rich people because they sold everything they had and we're sharing they were living in a commune so to speak so could this answer the question of why James seems to be so anti rich what else happened well in chapter 5 we come across a niacin Sapphira and what did they do well the Holy Spirit of God did something to Ananias and Sapphira he killed them because they liked now I don't have time to read chapter 5 verse 1 through 11 but you hopefully the story a certain man named ananias and sapphira his wife sold a possession and kept back part of the price and what did he do he came down to look lady down at the Apostles feet but he lied he said that was everything but it wasn't and God killed him and there was great fear in that time so what was that all about whatwhat is this why were they doing that why in the early book of Acts did the early Christians sell everything they had and live together to commute and just live together sharing what they had why because they were waiting for the kingdom and they were thinking that they were going to go through this tribulation period and that Jesus would come back at any time they still knew that the Book of Daniel had to be finished that last 70th week and they were thinking you know what we don't need anything because in the kingdom God will give us what we deserve so here you have them living like that and so that would explain why he was so anti rich people let's look at Luke chapter 12 here's what Jesus says in his earthly ministry to his disciples Luke chapter 12 and see people don't rightly divide people today think you're supposed to sell everything you have and give to the poor not today Paul doesn't tell us to do that we can own things today because today we realize that we're gonna leave it the rapture but those left behind are the ones that are going to be poor and can't take the mark of the beast because if you take the mark of the beast then you're trouble so you can't sell unless you have the mark of the beast unless you're a whole big huge camp of Christians that share everything that you don't care about what the world does in the mark of the beast you go go do whatever you want where are a little you know government so to speak well Luke chapter 12 verse 33 Jesus is speaking and listen to what he says Jesus is speaking to his disciples and in Luke 12 let me go to verse 32 fear not little flock for it is your father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom sell that you have and give alms provide yourselves which wax not old in treasure in the heavens that faileth not where no thief approaches nor moth corrupted for where your treasure is there will your heart be also now look what it says there reading all the way down to verse so where am I going here to verse 40 verse 35 says let your loins be girded about in your lights burning and you yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord when he will return from the wedding that when he cometh and knocketh they may open unto him immediately blessed well Jesus is going to get married that he's coming back he's coming back for these Jews and he says here in verse some 37 blessed are those servants whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching rarely I say to you that he shall gird himself and make them to sit down to meet and will come forth and serve them and if he shall come in in the second watch or come in the third watch and find them so blessed are those servants and this know that if the Goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come he would have watched and not have suffered his house to be broken through be therefore ready also for the Son of man cometh in an hour when you think not and all this is talking about get ready for Armageddon juice because you're gonna have to suffer and go together the best thing you can do is I'll be together and sell everything you have and live together well now it's starting to make sense it sounds like what James is saying here in chapter 2 is the things that he remember Jesus said hey let's don't be rich and poor let's sell everything and let's get together let's come together let's don't have respective persons because we're all the same in Christ that's what it sounds like to me so the early part of the church was all about selling what you had and living together and waiting patiently for the Lord to return and that's what they did in chapter 4 and 5 of the book of Acts they were all living together in a commune they can that Jesus could come back any time well let's go to Matthew chapter 5 let's look more at what Jesus says about the poor people what does Jesus say about the poor why is this guy James on a kick where he's talking good about the poor and bad about the rich what why is that well because if you take the mark of the beast in the tribulation then you you can buy and sell you might be rich but you're gonna go to hell because those that take the mark of the beast so you better not want to be rich strive not to be rich Matthew 5 verse 3 Matthew 5 3 through 12 is Jesus speaking and he's saying blessed are you for this or that or the other thing and he's saying you're going to be blessed because if you go through this then the blessing will be when you come into the millennium after you've gone through the tribulation and in Matthew chapter 5 verse 3 he says blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth Haho inheritance millennial kingdom 6 blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven blessed are you when men shall revile you and persecute you and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake rejoice and be exceeding glad for your reward for great is your reward in heaven for some persecuted they the prophets which were before ye so hear Jesus saying blessed are you for this that and the other thing and he's talking about in the kingdom you have to go through these things and you'll be blessed in the kingdom so but the first one is blessed is the poor now let's go to Luke chapter 14 I want you to see the words of Jesus and then when you get to the book of James it just makes sense James is just saying what Jesus said James would have been with Jesus more than the other apostles Peter James and John were always right there with Jesus the of those three were the cool that we're always right there with Jesus now Luke Luke 14 11 through 15 for whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted then said he also to them that made him when thou makest a dinner or supper call not thy friends nor thy brethren neither like kinsmen nor thy rich neighbors lest they also bid thee again in a recompense be made thee but when thou make is the feast call the poor the maimed the lame the blind and thou shall be blessed for they cannot recompense thee for thou shalt be recompense at the rest of the just so Jesus is Jesus was the same way poor for poor it's about the poor do good to the poor don't have respective persons so it sounds like James remember Jesus's teaching and what we're reading here in James chapter two sounds a lot like him telling us remember what Jesus was saying you know about um don't don't respect the rich more than the poor we're all together if you're gonna have a supper if you can have some bring the poor and things like that so let's go to verse five Parkin my beloved brother has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith the heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him heirs to the kingdom the Jews that are rich in faith and go through the tribulation period get into the Millennial Kingdom sounds like the book of James is all about tribulation and tribulation Drew's in the tribulation heirs of the kingdom now what did Jesus preach here when he came in Jesus's ministry he was preaching I'll put it up here Jesus preached the kingdom gospel this is so important when Jesus came what did he do he came saying look I'm gonna bring in my kingdom so whenever we're reading here the kingdom look at what we're reading let's go to Matthew 4 let me show you this a lot of people miss this and they have tried to have Jesus preaching I don't know what they have Jesus preaching but when Jesus came he said I came only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and he came preaching to them about the message of I'm here to bring in my kingdom will you accept me so that I may do that and they didn't we know what happens they rejected their Messiah according to Matthew Mark Luke and John they crucified him and then they rejected him again under the preaching of statement in Chapter 7 of Acts now Matthew chapter 4 verse 23 and Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people so Jesus came preaching the gospel of the kingdom Matthew chapter 9 verse 35 Matthew 9:35 and Jesus went about all the cities and villages teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom healing every sickness and every disease among the people Matthew 24:14 all the way through the book of Matthew we see Jesus and his main ministry was two Jews trying to get them to prepare for the coming Kingdom in fact that's what John the Baptist said you know repent be baptized for the kingdom of I was in heaven kingdom of God or kingdom of heaven is at hand Matthew 24:14 Matthew 24:14 and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come so the gospel of the kingdom was the gospel that Jesus preached and he told his disciples to go preach now what is the context of Matthew 24 many many many people today try to take Matthew 24 and say that's for us today that are Christians but you can't read Matthew 24 without helping without seeing it's in the tribulation Jesus is telling Jews in the tribulation what's going to take place now I don't have time to read all of Matthew 24 but in verse 3 look what it says and as you set up on the Mount of Olives disciples came in it privately saying tell us when shall these things be and what shall be the sign of thy coming in the end of the world well Jesus says watch out verse 4 and 5 for people who come saying that they're the Christ because they wanted to see people there's only one Christ and it's Jesus but there'll be a false Christ they'll be an antichrist that comes in the Tribulation Period there'll be rumors of wars verse 6 famines pestilence earthquakes all these things verse 8 all these are the beginning of Sorrows but then verse 9 then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and you should be hated of all nations for my name's sake verse 13 he then endure to the end shall be saved then verse 14 is the gospel of the kingdom being preached now verse 15 and when you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing the only place we so read let him understand then let them which be in Judea flee unto the mountains that's not Christians we that are Christians don't go buy a plane ticket Israel so we can play up on the mountains this is taking place during the middle of the tribulation this is when the Jews flee and they have to flee from the Antichrist so in the middle of the tribulation one this is the desolation of Daniel and and that's when the Antichrist comes in and this is when they must leave hey that's one they flee so I don't have time to read the rest of the Mathew 24 but if you read it see what it says it's definitely applying to the Tribulation Period not just to today to Christians so going back to James chapter 2 and verse 5 it says heirs of the kingdom heirs of the kingdom what is this what is this kingdom let's go to Isaiah chapter 9 Isaiah chapter 9 Jesus Christ is God the Bible is very clear and as God he came to this world and he came with the reason the reason was to die for the sins of the world and he did that but he also came to rule as the king of Israel and he will do that in the future he could have done that back here had they accepted their king but they shouted crucify and they didn't want him but the Bible is very clear in Isaiah chapter 9 and verse 6 through 7 that he will reign he will reign Isaiah 9:6 says run to us a child is born for up or unto a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name should be called wonderful counsellor the mighty God the everlasting father the Prince of Peace of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end upon the throne of David upon his kingdom to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this so there is a future time in which Jesus Christ will rule and of his rule there will be no end now let's go to Luke go to Luke chapter 1 so in Luke chapter 1 we have a quoting of this again but here we have in Luke chapter 1 in verse 31 and behold also conceived on that womb and bring forth a son and thou shalt call his name Jesus he should be great and should be called the son of the highest and the Lord gods have given to him the throne of his father David he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and of his kingdom there shall be no end so Jesus Christ is going to rule how long will revelation 20 verse 6 says a thousand years and in the book of Revelation let's go to Revelation chapter 19 Revelation talked 19 talks about the rule of Jesus Christ revelation 19 verse 15 through 16 and out of his mouth go with the sharp sword that with it he should smite the nation's and he should rule them with a rod of iron and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God and he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written king of kings and Lord of lords revelation 19 15 and 16 so Jesus Christ is coming back to rule and when he does he will rule upon this earth for a thousand years but if you know your Bible and I've done my best to try to teach it to you as we went verse by verse through Paul's epistles and then we went through Acts and now we're going through James the Bible teaches that there must be first in this tribulation period so it's called the time of Jacob's trouble and once the Jews go through that trouble it's a time when the Antichrist will rule and it's a seven-year period split up into three and a half and three and a half and after that seven years Armageddon takes place and then for a thousand years Jesus will rule and reign and this is Jesus in his kingdom this is Jesus reigning in his kingdom so that's what I'm looking forward to any where will I be will I'll be ruling with him because I'm going up at the rapture and coming back at Armageddon and I'm gonna rule with him and I'm looking forward to that so let's go back to the book of James in verse 2 James chapter 2 and verse 2 and it says here for if there are come into your assembly a man with a gold ring in godly apparel goodly apparel and they're coming also a poor man in vile raiment well the Assembly that would have been them assembling together in the early book of Acts and what would happen if someone would come in with rich everybody else is looking around going Lots not fair we sold everything we have alpha and then they're given that person more respect than everybody else that's not right and verse 3 says and you have respect to him that wears the gay clothing now gay today is a word that's been perverted today people say gay means homosexual if you're homosexual you're gay well gay means happy and the original definition of the word but also gay means a cheerful or colorful are bright so if you have gay clothing well that was bright well the more rich you were in those days the more you could afford clothes that were dyed in in the more expensive dice and so you would have the more beautiful color he respected them that we're at the gate clothing and saying to him sit down here in a good place and say to the poor stand out there are sit here under my footstool so what are you thinking that well that that sounds like some an application of someone looking down on other people and say oh you're just a smelly poor person with bad clothes while you go stand in the corner the rich guy he's gonna get the good seat and that's not what it's supposed to be like so let's continue here verse 4 are you not then partial and yourselves under become judges of evil thoughts yeah yeah that happens quite a few even today I've seen things like that in churches where they they give the rich people more and the poor people don't get anything and that's that's not something that we're supposed to do if we're Christians we're all supposed to be treated alike now verse five hearken my beloved brother and have not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him so it's almost like James is saying the rich people they don't get anything the poor people why those are the ones that God loves the God's gonna be special to what's the application to that well the rich won't make it through the tribulation because to be rich you have to take the mark of the beast now verse 6 but you have despised the poor do not rich men oppress you and draw you before the judgment seats now we've looked at this a little bit but what is this drawing before the judgment seats what is this impression who's being oppressed and why well as we read the early book of Acts we find that the bad guys were the Pharisees and so you had these people called the Pharisees and who were the Pharisees while they were the ones that kept the Old Testament law they didn't want to accept Jesus as the Messiah and so the Pharisees were the ones that were persecuting the early church and they would bring them before magistrates what even with Paul Paul was a Pharisee and Paul would actually was was one of the ones that was doing it and he was killing people now let me show you some some context of Jesus speaking about this and go back let's go back to verse 6 and 7 but you have despised the poor do not rich men oppress you and draw you before the judgment seats do not they blaspheme that worthy name by which you're called so the enemy of the early church according to James were the rich people who drew them before the judgment seats and blaspheme the name of Jesus who would that be well it could be the lost Romans but it sounds like the Pharisees the Pharisees going after the early church they put Peter in prison I think John or was it James one of them and they went together to prison so let's go back to the teachings of Jesus and what did Jesus say in his earthly ministry that this would take place yes jesus warned them hey guess what this is going to take place you're gonna be brought before judgment seats and the bad things are gonna happen to you but don't worry about it don't worry about it Matthew chapter 10 I go to Matthew chapter 10 verse 16 Matthew 10:16 we read behold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves be therefore wise as serpents but harmless as doves but beware of men for they will deliver you up to counsels to the council's and they will scourge you in their synagogues well that sounds like being brought before judgment see and she should be brought before governors and Kings for my sake for a testimony against them and the Gentiles and when they deliver you up take no thought how or what you shall speak for it should be given you in that same hour what she should speak for it is not that you speak but the Spirit of your father would speaketh in you and the brother shall deliver up the brother to death and the father child and the children shall rise against their parents they caused them to be put to death all right when does this take place let's continue reading the context and you should be hated of all men for my name's sake but he that endureth to the end shall be saved what that sounds like tribulation Jesus says in this time period he that endureth to the end will be safe or she'll be saved so it sounds like to me that some of this is going on over here but also Jesus when he's speaking he's giving a double application things are gonna happen immediately after he died in the early church but also things that are going to happen to the Jews in the tribulation and in the tribulation the Jews gonna happen during the end to be saved so I'm seeing a double application here but I'm still seeing the book of James going through the tribulation and pointing to that time let's look at some more mark chapter 13 mark chapter 13 are you with me all I'm going to do is run verses and read more verses and that's the what we should do we should always go to the scriptures and let them explain themselves mark 13 5 and Jesus answering them began to say take heed less than a man deceive you for many shall come in my name saying I am Christ and shall deceive many and when she'll hear of wars and rumors of wars be not trouble for such things must needs be but the end shall not be yet for nation shall rise against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom and there shall be earthquakes in diverse places there shall be famines and troubles these are the beginning of Sorrows but hey take heed to yourselves now watch what he says in verse 9 for sure they shall deliver you up to councils and to the synagogues to be beaten and you should be brought before rulers and Kings for my name's sake and a testimony against him and the gospel will first be published among all nations what gospel is that what we read earlier the gospel of the kingdom and when they shall lead you and deliver you up take no thought and it continues there now verse 13 and you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake but he that shall endure to the end shall be saved verse 14 we should see that that the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel the prophet well that takes place in the tribulation so this is a tribulation passage Luke chapter 12 Luke chapter 12 verse 8 through 12 it's all through Matthew Mark and Luke Luke chapter 12 verse 8 also I say to you whoso shall confess me before men him shall the son of man also confessed before the angels of God but he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man it shall be forgiven him but against and unto him that blasphemy against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven wait then we just read that in James yeah we did let's turn back do not they blaspheme that worthy name by which you are called rich men oppress you and draw you before judgment seats why that that sounds like what we're reading here we'll go back to Luke 12:11 and when they bring you into the synagogues and the magistrates and powers take you no thought how or what thing you should answer or what you shall say for the Holy Ghost will teach you in that same hour what you should say so this is sounding like what Jesus said is going to take place in the tribulation and it sounds like what James is writing is he was thinking in his sea this is what you got to get a hold of they were thinking in the early book of Acts that this was the tribulation because they're still following that prophecy of Daniel Daniel wrote that prophecy and Daniel wrote the prophecy of 490 weeks so far only 483 have been accomplished so that last week the last week of Daniel that's that's what we call today the 70th week that's what they were thinking could have been back then they didn't realize it was still future and what James is writing he's remembering what Jesus said would take place before Jesus comes well Luke 21 look at Luke of 21 11 through 17 Luke 21:11 and great earthquakes shall be in diverse places and famines and pestilence and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven could that be the September 23rd sign to 2017 I don't know before all these they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake and it shall turn to you for a testimony settle it there for your heart's not to meditate before what she shall answer for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to gain say or resist Wow God says I'm gonna give you wisdom you go back to the book of James remember what it says in chapter one if any man lack with him let him ask of God just give it to all men liberally and upbraideth not settled like what he's talking about there anyway go back to what he says there and verse 16 through 21 16 and you shall be betrayed both by parents and brothers and kinfolks and friends and some of you shall they cause to be put to death and you should be hated of all men for my name's sake but there shall not a hair of your head perish in your patience possess your souls now look at the context verse 20 and when you shall see Jerusalem encompassed with armies then know that the death of Lodge desolation therefore is not that's the middle of the tribulation then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains let them which are in the midst of it depart out and let them not that are in the countries enter there into for these be the days of vengeance that all things which are written may be fulfilled and it continues there the days of the wrath of God poured out upon the earth so I'm reading the book of James I clearly see the tribulation passage over and over and over I see James docked only riding to the tribulation and I can't even get two chapters in without going wow that sounds a lot like what Jesus said they blaspheme the worthy name they put you up before judgment seats and Jesus said they're gonna do that to the Jews in the tribulation so back to the book of James James chapter 6 I'll continue reading 6 and 7 then we'll get to verse 8 but she have despised the poor do not rich men oppress you and draw you before the judgment seats in the tribulation the rich men will be the men with the mark of the beast because you can't by herself and they will be looking for Jews that don't have the mark of the beast to try to bring them to justice and to cut their heads off and they do blaspheme then they of Jesus because they don't want to believe in Jesus to take the mark of the beast is to worship the Beast and to say that the beast is God so you're saying that Jesus Christ is not God your blasphemy do they not blaspheme that worthy name by which ye are called the name by which they're called is the name of Jesus now verse 8 if you fulfill the Royal law according to the scripture that thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself you do well now he mentions a law and he calls it the Royal law well here we have the law here but then he mentions what he calls the Royal law what is the Royal law well it's something that Jesus said so he's going to what Jesus said and what is it well he tells us thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself and he says if you believe that then you do well in the tribulation period if you love your neighbor and you take care of them and you help them then you'll do well now jesus said this in Matthew 22 so James is remembering the words of Jesus in quoting them over and over that's just another reason why Robert breaker believes that the book of James was written shortly after the death burial resurrection of Jesus early in the book of Acts somewhere around here because it's so much in an agreement with the doctrine of Jesus not Paul Paul God revealed more to but the James the book of James is all going back to the words of Jesus and Jesus deserved the ministry which was to him Jesus says he came not but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel Matthew 22 36 through 40 here's Jesus giving what what James calls the Royal law 90 22 36 master which is of the great commandment of the law jesus said unto him thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart with all thy soul with all thy mind this is the first and Great Commandment in the second is like unto it thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself on these two Commandments hang all the law and the prophets now again in mark 12 mark chapter 12 so this is Jesus's law if you will this is Jesus saying here I'm gonna sum it up for you the entire Old Testament law I'm summing it up here in these words and that's what he's calling the Royal law James mark 12 28 and one of the scribes came and having heard them reasoning together and perceiving that he had answered them well asked him which is the first commandment of all and jesus answered in the first of all the commandments is hear o Israel the Lord our God is one Lord and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart with all thy soul all by mine with all thy Streak this is the first commandment and the second is like namely this thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself there's none other commandment greater than these isn't that interesting and the scribe said to him well master thou said the truth for there is one God theirs is none other but he and to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding with all the soul with all the strength and to love his neighbor as himself is more than all all Holborn offerings and sacrifices what a neat thing to say so let's go back to the book of James so the book of James chapter 2 verse 8 if you fulfilled the Royal law according to Scripture thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself you do well so he's saying hey you want to do right while you're in this time period here waiting from Armageddon waiting to go through the tribulation or today we'd apply it to the future these people here you want to do well during the tribulation love your neighbors yourself because the Jews will flee and be living together in a communal area kind of like they did in the beginning of the book of Acts and they're gonna have to get along verse 11 for he that said do not commit adultery said also do not kill now commit no adultery yet if thou kill thou art become a transgressor of the law so here he goes - what he goes to the Ten Commandments now I skipped ahead I just jumped over so let me go back to verse 9 but if you have respect to persons you commit sin and are convinced of the law as transgressors from whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all so he starts out by talking about the Royal law what Jesus said but then he goes to the ten commandments and then he begins to talk about the Ten Commandments and the law now I don't want to go too long on this teaching today but if I have to I have to we'll see how far this go but he starts talking about the law and in verse 11 its do not kill do not commit adultery now we know where the Ten Commandments are they're found in Exodus chapter 20 I don't want to read those but he goes into talking about the Old Testament law of Moses now before he does that look at what he says in verse 9 but if you have respect to persons now what is he talking about well the whole context here is judging don't judge someone based upon how they're dressed don't judge someone based upon whether they're rich or poor don't judge someone and then he runs to the Old Testament law now do you understand what he's doing here he is going to Deuteronomy let me write these two verses up here and then let's look him up together what he's doing and do it yeah I guess that's right Deuteronomy no it's de UT excuse me I always do that de UT is the short of Deuteronomy I put do you eat it do it no that's not really okay Deuteronomy 117 and Deuteronomy 1619 what he is doing in the book of James is he is giving us a lesson directly from the Old Testament law from the book of Deuteronomy Deuteronomy chapter 1 and verse 17 look at what it says sounds just like what he's saying in the book of James Deuteronomy 117 in Deuteronomy 117 we read these words you shall not respect persons in judgment but she shall hear the small as well as the great you should not be afraid of the face of man for the judgment is God's and the cause that is too hard for you bring it unto me and I will hear it so respective persons in judgment respect of persons in the context is judgment so don't judge people based upon if they're rich or poor that's an interesting thing and yet what do we get today the the devil has brought about communism which is a horrible wicked filthy ungodly so-called political ideal in which the poor look at the rich people and hate them and want to go kill them and take everything they have that's greed that's evil if a person is rich well okay that's their business my business is to do what I need to do at work and as the Bible says work by the sweat of my brow I'm sweating right now and do what I'm supposed to do I'm not supposed to covet what other people have now Deuteronomy 1619 Gudrun me 1619 thou shall not rest judgment thou shalt not respect persons neither take a gift for a gift deaf blind the eyes of the wise in pervert the words of the righteous now here is the term respective persons but here the context of perverting judgment is by taking a bribe taking a bribe you don't bribe people now a lot of the so called politics in the world today are not just I lived in Honduras and in those countries a lot of times people want to bribe they don't go by the law they don't go by the rules they go by okay if you pay me then I'll do this for you when I took my vehicle into honduras my suburban it came in on the on the container on a ship I went with another brother in Christ we went down to the office to get my vehicle we sat down in front of this man at a desk and I said I'm here to get my vehicle and he looks at me and he goes putting his two fingers together and rubbing them together like okay how much you're gonna pay me I said here I got a gospel tract if that's what you want I don't know what you want I just all I know is I'm here here's the paperwork here give it to me says we'll come back tomorrow I left I had to go get a hotel stayed in the hotel came back the next day this time I've run a different gospel track and he goes like this again he wants money and it took six days if I remember correctly maybe five and every day he wanted money I would not give him what he wanted he wanted a bribe for me to get my vehicle I just get and basically he got tired of me giving him gospel tracts and he just signed the paperwork he gave me my car too they have yet to pay a bribe in Honduras but that's how things work in other countries unfortunately and it shouldn't be that way you shouldn't pervert justice with bribes so what we're reading here in the book of James is basically James talking to the early church about how once they sold everything and we're living together why they shouldn't seek to be rich they certain pervert judgment they shouldn't how would you bribe if you don't have any money and you sold everything you had to give to the poor how would you but there's so much in the book of James it's hard to keep up it makes sense though in the future paying bribes to people because if you don't have the mark of the beast you can't buy or sell but if you're a Jew and you won't take the mark and they hate you but then you offer them something to get a piece of food or something I don't know I'm not gonna go there all I know is that this context of chapter 2 is when someone comes into your assembly verse 2 don't have any respect to them in the sense that because they're richer or poorer than others you give them something that they don't deserve don't be partial the impartial treat all the same that sounds like the early book of Acts where they sold everything they had and they all were the same they were all in the same level as Christians there's talking about the kingdom and then it's talking about being despised and oppressed and brought before judgment seats and blaspheming the name well that sounds like here people that are Jews will have to stand on Jesus and what they believe but it also sounds like back here brought before the Pharisees and some of the early Christians were killed by of all people saw which is Paul and then it talks about respective persons verse 9 if you have respect to persons you commit sin and are convinced of the law as transgressors all right to respect okay Deuteronomy says don't have respect to persons in judgment that's the context and then it says don't take a bribe and the respective persons has to do with taking some sort of a bride so who's bribing who I don't know but he continues airburst it he says for whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all so he goes to the Old Testament law and he says look if you've been guilty of offending the law then you have offended the law all you have to do is offend in one point but then you're guilty of all now that's a pretty powerful verse I've never committed adultery I've never killed anyone but I've lied before so that means that I'm an adulterer and I'm a murderer because I lied well that's what it says whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all you are a transgressor you are a sinner it doesn't matter which one of those you you committed the law condemns you the entire law condemns you you're condemned entirely by the law what is the law for well guilty of all the law if you offend in one point well that's that's man that's something the law is God's mind of holiness the law is what God says is right and wrong to sin against it is to be unholy and to be guilty let's look at a couple verses here real quick Romans chapter 3 and verse 19 so we're not under the Old Testament law today thank God but because of that we don't throw the law in the garbage the law teaches us what's right and wrong so we know what's right and wrong according to morally according to the law and what does the Bible say about the law in the New Testament Romans 3:19 says now we know that what things soever the law saith it saith to them who are under the law that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty before God if you take every human being that has ever lived except Jesus and put them up to the law to see how they measure up every single one is guilty every one is a liar a murderer and you say well I've never murdered anybody well Jesus says yeah if you hate someone you've murdered them and you heart you say I've never committed fornication or adultery yeah but if you looked after a woman to a lust after her guess what you've done you've lusted after her and your heart you committed adultery in your heart so yes it's all there and that the law shows us that we are sinners matter of fact look what it says in verse 20 therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight for by the law is the knowledge of sin the law tells us what is sin Paul says it this way in Romans 7:7 in Romans 7:7 Paul says what shall we say then is the law sin god forbid nay I have not known sin but by the law for I had not known lust except the law had said thou shalt not covet so what is the law the law is the knowledge of sin now are we under the law today there are people today who say well we're still under the Old Testament law and you've got to keep the law or you won't go to heaven that's one of the dumbest statements that's ever been made because according to the scriptures we're no longer under the law because we can't be saved by the law now the Old Testament God told him here's what you do you keep the law now when they said and they would then they had to have a blood sacrifice and forgiveness was based upon whether or not they did the blood sacrifice and whether the blood was shed but today we're not under that today we have the blood of Christ and we're not under the law Romans 10:4 says Christ is the end of the law to all who believe now Galatians chapter 3 verse 22 look at what it says Galatians three 22 but the scripture hath concluded all under sin so the Old Testament law proves that every person in the world is a sinner if a person ever says I'm not a sinner then you remark it down that person is a liar and they're a sinner all have sinned come short of the glory of God then the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believed but before faith came we were kept under the law shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed and when was that faith justified by faith without the deeds of law revealed unto Paul wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified by faith but after that faith has come we were no longer under a schoolmaster for you're all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus so salvation today is by faith not by the law and that's what's so great about salvation is today we're saved by faith not by the law now let me go ahead and finish here I've got a couple more verses and though I've gone a little long but I want to finish up so verse 9 but if you have respected persons you commit sin or convinced of the laws transgressors we should not respect people in the sense that we exalt rich people and put down poor people if we're all believers in the sense that they believe Jesus was the Messiah then we're all the same we shouldn't put people up on a pedestal or things like that based upon how rich they are that's Saint who suffers would keep the whole law yet offend in one point he is guilty of up for he that hath said do not commit adultery said also do not kill now if thou commit no adultery yet if thou killed our become a translator the transgressor of the law verse 12 so speak II and so do as they that shall be judged by the law of Liberty now that term is used back in verse 25 of chapter 1 but whoso looketh into the perfect law of Liberty and continueth therein he being not a faithful here but I do over the work this man shall be blessed in his deed all throughout the book of James it's about doing something it's about works James is preaching they do this do that gospel do this do that it's faith and works in the book of James now a lot of people don't like to hear that but you can't read James without seeing it I just read you verse 25 I just read you verse 12 to 12 says so speak II and so do as they that shall be judged by the law of Liberty there's some things that you have to do James says well that's certainly not the message of Paul who says we're not saved by what we do were justified by faith alone so James must have been written first when the early church was still thinking you know we're still under the law when did they finally realize that they're no longer under the law when Paul began to preach this that's what raised the question you mean we're not keeping the law anymore and in Chapter 15 there Church meant together and they said you know what we believe that it's by grace through faith as Paul says and that's when they begin to say you know it's by grace through faith and it's justified by faith not by the deeds of the law but yet James is still preaching something different so James could not have been written 60 ad way out here in the time period of Paul it must have been written first as you go through the book of Acts and I don't see how anyone could deny that or not see that well I really really really wanted to get a little bit farther along but I guess we'll have to call it quits there will start next time in verse 13 and we'll continue this thought thank you for watching and we'll see you next time and next time will be a real blessing alright thank you for watching bye-bye
