and welcome back I'm Robert breaker and we are continuing our verse-by-verse Bible study through the book of James and boy I had a great time last time explaining all this amen and I left it up here and as we go through the book of James more and more and more you're going to see how this book is written to Jews doctrinally in the time that it was written about hey be ready cuz the kingdom is coming and before the kingdom comes you're gonna have to endure some things you're gonna have to endure some temptations you gonna have to go through some stuff I don't think they realized there was going to be 2000 years before the Jews got their Kingdom but this James this writer of James was writing to Jews and the more we read this book the more you cannot help but see so much tribulation application and I'm excited about teaching this book I can't wait I can't wait to hear what my so-called enemies save in about Robert breaker I can just hear them already Robert Reich except a liar well that book wasn't written to Jews what and it's just like keep digging Your Grave buddy just keep digging Your Grave because the more we study this book the more we go verse by verse the more in all points not to salvation today but to out there the Tribulation Period and you're gonna have to either admit the truth or you're just gonna expose yourself as someone who's not a Bible believer the Bible says it's the Holy Spirit of God that teaches us all things so we're going through this with the Holy Spirit teaching us amen and you can't get past the first verse which we've just read last time we only got through the first verse but we'll start off again in James chapter 1 verse 1 James a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ there's your lordship salvation well we're not saved today by lordship salvation but back then the early book of Acts it was all about Jesus is the Lord believe him as the Lord and follow him and do works because he's the Lord which is a lot what the book of James sounds like so James a servant of God to the Lord Jesus Christ to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad greeting so he's writing to the twelve tribes and what is he writing about well much of the book is about enduring and and watch out for temptation and patiently wait and believe in God and and do nice to each other and and watch out for rich men watch out for these rich men they're everywhere these rich men that oppress you and you're like what why does he hate rich people so much well if you remember in the tribulation period there's the mark of the beast if you take the mark of the beast then you can buy and sell if you do not take the mark of the beast then you are poor so those who take the mark of the beast will be rich and the rich people will be ruling the world while the poor suffer so I clearly see this message all throughout that book of hey don't strive to be rich don't try to be rich watch out for those rich people but don't take this mark don't be tempted to take the mark make sure you suffer do good works do good to one another so James the servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad greetings so who is the book written - it is dr. Lee written to the Jews about what they must suffer or go through before the kingdom comes believing Jews yes but believing in who believing that Jesus is the Messiah they haven't believed in the message of Paul yet because I don't see anywhere in the book of James the message of Paul in fact there's a lot in the book of James that is against the message of Paul in fact the message of James is about faith in works faith their works faith that works why is it faith and works faith that work well the tribulation salvation is by faith and works see there's people out there and sound oh boy pedal there's people out there and say there's no such thing as dispensations well then God's a liar and I guess we should all just go get drunk you say well no Robert breaker you're you know what okay if you say there's no such thing as dispensations then there must be contradictions in the Bible because in one dispensation God says this and another set of disposition God says something different unless there are dispensations thank God is contradicting himself and if God contradicts himself then he is a liar because the Bible says let God be true and every man a liar and that God cannot lie but yet you look at the Bible as many people do that are lost and they are all the Bible's full of errors and contradictions oh I can't believe that well I look at what they call errors and contradictions and I believe it I go no that's not a lie what you're doing is you're not rightly dividing the word of truth you don't understand this was written to this people at this time this is written to this people at this now let me give you an example right here of the gospel of Paul 1st Corinthians 15:1 34 who is Paul by the way I meant to say this last time Paul according to Roman's 1113 is the apostle to the Gentiles he's our apostle today there's three times in the Bible where Paul says be followers of me so we're supposed to be following Paul today because Jesus revealed to Paul more of the message that he wants the world to have not only are we to believe who Jesus is we have to trust in what Jesus did for us that's the message of Paul you're justified by faith so here's Paul and we're looking at Paul in what does Paul say Paul says in Galatians chapter 1 though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which you've received let him be accursed but then you go over here to rely on revelation 14:6 and there's an angel from heaven preaching another gospel it's called the everlasting gospel all right according to Paul that angels are cursed so anything that angel says is a curse and you can't follow that it'll put you in hell what does that angel say well if I remember right he says fear God and keep his Commandments or ship him fear God and worship Him let's read it revelation 14:6 so people say well I can't believe the Bible there's so many contradictions why one guy says if an angel says something he's cursed and then an angel comes and says something they say oh but he's not cursed well look what he says revelation 14:6 and I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth of to every nation and kindred and tongue and people saying with a loud voice fear God give glory to him for the hour of his judgment is coming worship Him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of waters now if there's no such thing as dispensations then that angel is accursed so we'll write up here the curstyn angel he's a cursed angel according to Paul but if there are dispensations if there's different times that in different ways God dealt with different people then that angel is not accursed because today the gospel is Paul's gospel that saves us but that ends at the rapture and when the rapture takes place then God begins to deal with people in a different way and now this angel can come and preached and it's no longer accursed because it's a different dispensation I get so sad to hear people say I don't believe in dispensations you look at that go well then you're not gonna have an easy time rightly dividing the word of truth because in the Bible there are dispensations there are let me show you Hebrews we looked at this we went verse by verse through the book of Hebrews the very first verse of the book of Hebrews tells us there are different times in different ways that God deals with people that's called dispensations different dispensing of God of information of Commandments of things to different people Hebrews 1:1 God with sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the father's by the prophets diverse and and sundry sundry means different diverse means different or various and manners are ways so God who in different times and in various ways spake in times past into the father's by the prophets he told one guy one thing another guy a different thing another guy if you do this you'll be saved well if you do that you and it's not what he's telling us today God told the know if you build an ark you and your family will be safe what if no would have said well yeah I don't I don't think so I'm not gonna do it we would not be here today they would have his single human being left in the world but he obeyed God now are we told by God to go build an ark today to be safe no we're not so there are different dispositions in different times in different ways that God dealt with people look what it says here hath in these last days spoken to us by his son Jesus came preaching things that wasn't preached before about this and about his future millennial kingdom and things like that so in the Bible there are dispensation as a matter of fact the word shows up in the Bible quite a few times it's called dispensation the dispensation of the grace of God is what we're in today when God dispensed to Paul the message that hey today it's not works it's faith and you're saved by grace through faith and I think God for that I think we're God we're not under a work set up or a works covenant like we saw in times past so in the book of James we see there's different dispensations and this dispensation over here is the tribulation period after the rapture God goes back to dealing with Israel in a setup in which they are they are saved by how faith in works now I don't know if I like to use the word saved because it's a little different than the salvation that Paul says when I use the term save today I'm speaking of what Paul calls salvation salvation of your soul and what you're saved by believing you receive the Holy Spirit of God you become a son of God and when you die while you go to happen your soul goes to heaven that's and there's more a lot more to that your imputed God's righteousness and things like that does that take place in the tribulation period well it says even endureth to the end shall be saved but if you endure to the end the salvation is you get into the Mineo kingdom it's not the salvation of your soul it's the salvation of your body entering into the Millennial Kingdom but also there's people in the tribulation that if they want to be saved and you want to use that in the sense of their soul going to heaven when they die well the only way is they have to have their head cut off and when their head is chopped off then their soul according the book of Revelation is up in heaven before the throne of God so I always taught and I've always been taught and I believe it because I've seen in the Bible that in the tribulation if you miss the rapture then there's a faith plus works set up your faith needs to be in who Jesus is you need to believe that Jesus is the king the Lord the Messiah the creator he's God and you need to be willing to give up your life for Jesus by that I mean you'll be willing to cut let your head be cut off now people say that's not at work that's not a work well it is to me it is to me it's a work in the beginning God said thou shalt not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and that's a work under the Old Testament law God says thou shalt not thou shalt not thou shalt not and that's a covenant of works God says in the Bible matter of fact then in Exodus he says these are the work that you must do so there was a work that they had to do and the law was thou shalt not so people say well that's not a work not doing anything when there's a law keeping the law is the work and keeping the law is not killing not raping not stealing people just like to argue and that's fine but is it faith that works well let's go look Revelation chapter 14 is it faith that works in the tribulation yeah yeah Revelation 14 and verse 12 here is the patience of the Saints now these are tribulation Saints people in the tribulation time here is the patience of the Saints here they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus so they have faith in Jesus believe in who he is but they also do work they keep the commandments well that sounds like faith that works to me now you go over to Revelation chapter 12 and verse 17 and the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed and who are these people these are tribulation people which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ so they have a testimony of Jesus that they believe in him but they keep the commandments of God that's a work so these are what we call tribulation Saints and they're not Saints in the sense that we're Saints today we who are Saints today are those who have received the Holy Spirit and we are saved and we go to heaven we die in the tribulation you've got an ER to the end or you're not safe there's there's a there's a chance that you can lose it let's say you miss the rapture and you say well I got seven years okay I'm gonna live for Jesus and about three years later you didn't take the mark of the beast and you're starving to death and you say but I'm a believer in Jesus I believe in Jesus another six months pass by and you look at this you go well I can't last three more years without eating I'm starving to death well but I believe in Jesus you know what I'll do I'll just take the mark of the beast so I can buy and sell so I can get some food and you do that now are you a saint you might have called yourself a saint before because you said you believed in Jesus but the moment you did that there's no salvation you can't be saved the Bible says they to take the mark of the beast why they go to hell when Jesus returns at the Battle of Armageddon so the Tribulation Period is way different than the period today in the Tribulation Period I don't see anybody sealed with the Holy Spirit I promise if they were then they could be Christians and take the mark of the beast and still go to heaven and that doesn't jive with what the Bible says so here's Armageddon and those that have the mark of the beast when Jesus comes back and Armageddon he will pitch into hell so I clearly see a set up in the tribulation which you can lose your salvation if you think you're saved by believing in who Jesus is but then you take the mark well then you're not saved so that's just the way to look at and you know people just want to argue about things like that and it's so silly it's so silly but I don't argue I'm just gonna go about what the Bible says and I gave you two verses that says they keep the commandments and they have faith the book of James will will point to this as well faith plus works set up in the tribulation and the Tribulation Period so take chapter 1 verse 1 James a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad greeting my brother encountered all joy when you fall into diverse temptations now why is he saying count it all joy when you fall into the diverse temptations well here is a command to the Jews to be joyous when they are tempted now when are they going to be tempted well this temptation could apply to the temptation of taking the mark of the beast in the Tribulation Period because there will be a temptation for them in by them I mean juice anybody that's left behind at the rapture whether you Jew or Gentile you're gonna have a temptation one day of whether you should take the mark of the beast or not and so he says here well count it all joy verse 3 knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience all right the patience might be applied to a during to the end in Matthew 24:13 and Mark 1313 that we looked at last time they must endure to the end and be patient or else die as a martyr for Jesus to be saved so you have to endure even endure it to the end shall be saved jesus said he wasn't talking about the church age in the church age when were saved were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise Ephesians 1:13 we can't lose it but over here someone has to endure to the end they have to be patient and they have to patiently wait so the joy here in this verse in a tribulation lap location is the joy of happiness of knowing that during the tribulation they were enduring or waiting for something worthwhile the coming true Messiah of Israel and the Millennial Kingdom in the church age if you want to try to apply this spiritually to us well we're supposed to have joy it Paul says rejoice evermore in 1st Thessalonians 5:16 but is he talking to Christians here and telling Christians to be happy well we try to take it and spiritually apply to us but are we one of the 12 tribes of Israel no first one says he's writing to the 12 tribes of Israel so here we have this passage and he says back in verse 2 but brethren now who are the brethren many people today they read the Bible and they say brethren well that's a people and yes Paul talks about brethren and when people are saved they call each other brothers in Christ but also in the Bible brethren is a term that Jews use in talking about their own people if I was a Jew and I was with a group of a bunch of Jews I'd say brethren because they're my ancestry they're they're my lineage they're my blood they're my same people and all throughout the Bible we find that let me show you some examples of that let's go to Matthew 25 Jesus gives an example of that so in Matthew so a lot of people that come to this they say what time you see brethren in the New Testament it's always talking to a Christian so far in James we don't see him addressing anyone who's a Christian he just says to the 12 tribes scattered abroad but still he could be talking to those that he looks at as a Christian in the sense that they believe who Jesus is but I mean someone is trusted the gospel where is the gospel in the book of James it's very hard to find let's go to Matthew chapter 25 Matthew 25:31 through 46 Jesus is speaking to Jews about what will take place in the Tribulation Period Matthew 25:31 when the Son of man shall come in the glory in his glory and all the angels with him then shall he sit on upon the throne of his glory well that would be at Armageddon Jesus coming back and before him shall be gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another as a sheep as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats and he shall set the sheep on his right hand but the goats on the left then shall the King say unto them on his right hand come ye blessed of my father inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world for I was a hungered and he gave me meat I was thirsty and you gave me drink I was a stranger and you took me a naked and you clothed me I was sick and you visited me I was in prison and you came unto me then shall the righteous answer him saying Lord when saw we thee and hungered and fed thee or thirsty and gave thee drink when saw we thee a stranger and took thee in or naked and clothed thee verse 39 or when saw we thee sick or in prison and came unto thee and the King shall answer and say to them verily I say to you and as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren you have done it unto me Jesus is saying my brother at the juice if you do this to the Jews during this time so if you miss the rapture and you're in the tribulation you better go find a Jew and feed him and clothe him and take care of him and not take the mark of the beast because if you take the mark of the beast you will go to hell and Armageddon and then verse the next verse will apply to you verse 21 then so he's saying to unto them on the left hand depart from me ye cursed into lumber everlasting fire prepared for the danger for the devil and his angels so they're in the tribulation part of the tribulation is blessing the Jew and helping him doing good works if you will to take care of the Jews now let's go to Matthew chapter 28 in verse 10 Matthew 28 10 Jesus is calling his other disciples here on earth his brother Matthew 28 10 then said Jesus unto them be not right go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee and there shall they see me okay so here he's talking about other Jews so the term brother isn't always applied to save people sometimes it's talking about Jews white let's go to the book of Acts in the beginning of the book of Acts after Jesus died then goes Peter and the other apostles and they're going around talking to the Jews and telling them about how Jesus was the Messiah in in acts 1:14 these all continued with one Accord in prayer supplication with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus with his brethren okay verse 16 Medlen brethren these scriptures must needs have been fulfilled with the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas which was guide to them that took Jesus 2:29 look what he says Peter is speaking and he says men and brethren let me speak freely speak 2:37 now when they heard this they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter and the rest of the Apostles men and brethren what shall we do so the the word brethren in the book of James a lot of people said James is only for Christians okay then they say that brother an is he's talking to other saved people but in the Bible clearly a Jew would call another Jew a brother so he's writing to twelve tribes scattered abroad he says hey brother sounds like he's a Jew selling Jews and addressing Jews as his brothers in the flesh not his brothers in Christ now he could be talking to same people in the sense that they were saved by believing who Jesus was but where is this message of Paul in the book of James we don't see it so we continue back and go to verse two my brother encountered all joy when you fall into divers temptations now go to Matthew chapter 6 a lot of the book of James as I read through it over and over and over to do this every time James said something I thought of something that Jesus said because if it was indeed this James the one that was the group of Peter James and John he would have been with Jesus he would have remembered everything jesus said it would have been fresh on his mind if he would have written that book first and so much of what he's writing in there mine's me of things that Jesus said in his earthly ministry which again points to it being to Jews about the future tribulation because much of what Jesus was speaking about in his ministry was about the Tribulation Period the coming kingdom gospel so we go to matthew chapter 6 verse 9 through 13 and in matthew chapter 6 verse 9 through 13 we read after this manner therefore pray ye so jesus is telling the disciples what to pray our Father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread do you not see what this is people today are taught to pray this in the church age and people are told hey if you're a Christian pray this prayer this is Jesus in his earthly ministry telling his disciples to pray for the kingdom coming so this isn't 90 church age prayer this is more of a tribulation prayer it look what it says that King that they're praying Lord may your kingdom come because we're in the tribulation we can't wait for it to come and it says that will be done on earth give us this day our daily bread who would pray give us this day our daily bread nobody prays that they just go out and buy it nowadays but in the tribulation why you can't buy or sell if you don't have the mark so they would be praying God we can't buy again please Lord let us have some bread today I mean that makes perfect sense and forgive us our debts as we forget our debtors who would pray forgive me of my debts if we're already forgiven of all our sins today but over here they aren't and they're having to pray Lord forgive us our and then it says verse 13 and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power the glory forever amen so that sounds like Jesus is teaching them this prayer not as a church age prayer it's more of a prayer for Jews in the tribulation to pray for their daily bread and pray lord please don't let us fall into temptation of taking the mark of the beast lord please come in your kingdom the sooner the better lord please come that's what it sounds like to me so we go back to James and it says into divers temptations what would be a temptation for someone in the in the tribulation the temptation of taking the mark of the beast and what are they supposed to do why they're not supposed to take it knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience verse 3 verse 4 but let patience have a perfect work that you may be perfect and entire wanting nothing so you have to be patient you have to endure you have to endure patience is to work perfection but it doesn't always do so and the problem is we don't always have enough patience to become perfect our flesh wants that what is immediate and what is there now the flesh hate staff to wait for something well the doctor'll context here would be the patience of a Jew in the tribulation waiting for Jesus Christ soon return and faith is necessary God demands faith he says there in verse 3 knowing this the triangular patience or of your faith worketh patience faith is important what does Hebrews 11:6 says well Hebrews 11:6 says for without faith it is impossible to please him so God demands faith today we're saved by faith alone in the tribulation it's faith and works and we've looked at that before Revelation 12:17 revelation 14:12 and as we continue in the book of James we see how James is very dogmatic faith and works faith in works faith in works why would he be talking so much about faith that works when in Chapter 15 of the book of Acts it was settled it's not works it's by faith alone and modern scholars say 160 idea the book was written ok then over here it shouldn't say where it's faith in works it should say like Paul says it's by faith not by works why is he so big on faith that works faith and works faith that works unless his book is to Jews about this time or its fate that works so anyway let's go back to the book now knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience but let patience have her perfect work that you may be perfect and entire wanting nothing sounds like a great time for someone to pray that prayer that we just read Lord give us this day our daily bread and this and that and the other thing and Lord may your kingdom come sounds like that's what it's talking about now verse five verse five says well let me go back again I've got so many verses here he says in verse three the trying of your faith when with her faith be tried well the last two thousand years the Jews have been believing that the Messiah will come they rejected their Messiah and they don't realize they already killed him for the last two thousand years anybody who's a Jew will tell you we're just been waiting patiently waiting for the coming of our Messiah as our old testament says well they missed it but boy oh boy do they have faith there's still people in the world that are Jews that believe in Judaism that believe in the coming Messiah so as a nation they've had a lot of faith now verse four patience patience for what patience is waiting what are they waiting for well they're waiting for the Lord's returned Luke chapter 21 so I want I want to teach this book correctly and I believe I'm doing a good job of it and I want you to get a hold of this and we're just getting started just wait just wait till we get farther into the book of of James and how it just keeps pointing to here here here here the last three and a half years of the tribulation last I mean just it just keeps going man it just keeps going so let's go to Luke chapter 21 verse 7 Luke 21 7 and they asked him saying master but wouldn't show these things be and what sign shall there be when these things shall come to pass so here are the disciples of Jesus which were Jews and Jesus in his earthly ministry is telling Jews about the tribulation and then the Millennial Kingdom and they said so what's gonna be happening here in the end of time and the last days well Matthew chapter are skewing Luke chapter 21 verse 8 and he said take heed that you be not deceived for many shall come in my name saying I am Christ and the time draws near go ye not therefore after them what is he saying say no w people come and say that they're the Messiah that there's the Christ don't accept them they're not the true one well we read in in the Bible that what happens is after the rapture the Jews do the Antichrist and think he is the Christ they receive him that comes in his own name but then they realize they're wrong and then they have to say oh we were wrong we're gonna go with the real Christ but verse 9 but when you shall hear of wars and commotions be not terrified for these things must first come to pass but the end is not by-and-by we're going to continue their reading down the verse 22 then said he and to him under them nation shall rise against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom and great earthquakes shall be in diverse places and famines and pestilence and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven but before all these they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons bring brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake and it shall turn to you for testimony well that sounds like somebody that has to be patient someone that's taken and put in jail for no reason now the continues number 14 settle it therefore in your hearts do not meditate before what you shall answer for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries should not be able to gain say nor resist now we haven't read it yet but when we go back to James the next verse says if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God that giveth all men liberally and upbraideth not well here's the context of when to ask for wisdom when you're in the last days and you're suffering tribulation and trials and you're terrified that's when you ask God for wisdom when you're going through this stuff so it always keeps pointing to tribulation tribulation tribulation look what it says here for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to gain saying or resisting you should be betrayed both by parents and brother and kinfolks and friends and some of you shall they cause to be put to death well people get put to death who don't take the mark of the beast so it sounds like the context heaven it says here and you should be hated of all men for my name's sake for 17-18 but there still not a hair of your head perish and your patience possess you your souls in your patience present does that is Jesus telling someone that they're saved by their patience that's what it sounds like that their soul is saved by being patient by enduring to the end well that has to be a tribulation reference someone waiting till the end being patient for something to happen what's going to happen Jesus coming verse 20 when you shall see Jerusalem encompassed with armies then shall that then know that the desolation thereof is nigh well what does the Bible teach in the book of Revelation in the book of Revelation it teaches that the Tribulation Period is seven years and then it's three and a half years and three and a half years the first three and a half years the Jews are free to worship in their temple but they accept the Antichrist as the Messiah but still he gives them freedom to worship but the last three and a half years they have to flee from the Antichrist and they're kicked out of the temple and they have to flee from him and have to trust God and God is going to protect them and save them so the desolation takes place in the middle and then they have to flee so this entire passage of Luke 21 is tribulation period of what's going to take place verse 21 then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains I've had people trying to tell me brother breaker you're so wrong Luke 21 and Matthew what is it 23 or 24 while that's talking to Christians okay then if I'm a Christian I have to buy a ticket to Israel so I can flee up into the mountains of Judea that's ridiculous I can't afford a plane ticket to Israel I'd like to go this year God something he's gonna take me he's gonna pay the ticket on my way back I can't afford it so we'll see if that comes to pass but it says here let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains and let them which are in the midst of it depart out and let not them that are in the countries into enter there and 2 for these be the days of vengeance that all things which are written may be fulfilled verse 23 but woe unto them then we child with them that give suck in those days for there shall be great distress upon the land and wrath upon his people clearly the Tribulation Period and this is the period when they're to have patience and to endure and by post patience verse 19 that possess their souls sounds exactly like what James is saying and he would have remembered what Jesus said and he would be quoting Jesus in his earthly ministry because he wrote that book very not too far after Jesus died oh Jesus helpless so I read a little bit farther than I wanted to I only wanted to read to verse 22 but you can continue reading there clearly this is talking about the tribulation and the Jews a parable of the fig tree verse 29 why fig tree well that's Israel he says in verse 28 lift your heads for your redemption draws nigh well that would be Armageddon when God comes to redeem Israel to save them from the Antichrist and set up his Millennial Kingdom it's all there it's all there now let's go back to James and in James verse 4 but let patience have a perfect work that you may be perfect and entire wanting nothing patience for what well clearly if he is writing to the Tribulation Period which he is then the patience is to be patient while you're waiting for the Lord to come back that Armageddon so patience to those in the tribulation and in James chapter 5 verse 7 and 8 look at what he says be patient therefore brother to the coming of the Lord behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth and have long patience for it until he received the early and latter rain well that sounds just like the parable of the fig tree in which Jesus is talking about fruit and thing in the context was the tribulation but look at verse 8 be also patient stablish your hearts for the coming of the Lord draws nigh so those Jews scattered abroad in the Tribulation Period need to be patient and wait for the coming of the Lord and they need to be joyful and happy knowing that Jesus is coming soon I don't see how anyone could say Windhoek nope the book of James is not written to the tribulation when over and over and over you study the Bible you run the references and you go wow wow these references just keep lining up tribulation tribulation tribulation okay now let's go back to verse 5 if any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him while we just read the passage in which Jesus said you know in that day and you need wisdom you know well then here we go and I'll give you wisdom of what to say so it all lines up it all lines up this verse says all you have to do to get wisdom has asked for it but always remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom so there's some fear that comes along with wisdom the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom well fear God and worship Him is what the angel preaches the one that Paul said would be accursed if it was an artist ization so there's your fear and there I mean it's all comes together when you study your Bible and you can't help but say you know what could James it's a lot of passages in there to the tribulation to the Jews going through the tribulation now I didn't say this yet I meant to say this last time but I have some friends go to Israel and there's a lot of Christians that believe the Bible and they'll take these tours to Israel and they go to Israel and they go to Petra which is this beautiful city carved out in its caves that go in to this area and there's this huge long narrow canyon that goes in and many people believe that when the Jews flee from the Antichrist they will flee this Petra etc will be the area where God protects them from the Antichrist because there's no way to get in there except you got to go through that long narrow canyon and that would be hard to do with tanks and other people and so they'll be protected etc and so many of these Christians that would go over to Israel they would take Bibles and the tour guides would tell them and I personally haven't had a friend that told me that he did this they took extra Bibles with them and they went and they went around that area and they'd find a rock and they'd hide a Bible under a rock and their thinking was we're doing this so that the Jews in the tribulation will find a King James Bible and when these Jews as the Bible prophecies leave and flee to the mountains of Judea and they go and they start fleeing even farther and and eventually ending up in Petra they're going to be turning rocks over and of it Wow but when they'll grab that put it on their arm to keep running keep fleeing and then when they get this adventure able to sit down in the read and they go wow this is what they call the Bible well we believe in the Old Testament but you know we never read the New Testament and so they'll start thumbing through it they go hey Hebrews well I'm a Hebrew and they'll read the book of Hebrews and he'll say wow Jesus was the Messiah well he's quoting scripture from the Old Testament that Jesus was the Messiah what did he do well he died as the sins for the whole world Wow and then they go what's the next book Oh James James written to the twelve tribes scattered abroad well I wonder the twelve tribes scattered abroad let me read this book and now I don't know if that'll happen but you know the meeting's Bibles that they left over there I think you will and I think God did that for a reason God gave us these books and left them in our Bibles he could have only given his Paul's writings but he didn't he left James he left first second Peter he left these other vertol epistles for us today and I believe they're there and I believe that they will heavily be used by Jews that believe in the tribulation period so back to the book of James and it says let let him ask in faith nothing wavering verse six for he that waver those like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed okay so here we are wisdom and the waves of the sea now when we get back I'm gonna come back to verse 6 because I remembered there's somebody that talks about wind and there's somebody talks about waves and guess who that was that was this guy Jude so there was a guy named Jude why we studied the book of Jude last time so here's something that sounds like Jude and so we look at that and I bet I miss something in Chapter five let's go back to verse five wisdom when someone wants wisdom they need to ask of God what would the context be here of why would you want wisdom if we're saved Paul tells us today that the Holy Spirit of God guides and leads us into all truth so when we get saved we get the Holy Spirit and we're supposed to study the command is study to show thyself approved unto God we need not be ashamed rightly right so yeah I guess you could take this passage and spiritually apply to a Christian and tell a Christian to ask God for wisdom but wouldn't we have the Holy Spirit that guides and leads us into wisdom if we are saved but here's somebody that doesn't sound like they're safe somebody that's alive in the tribulation and they're not saying until they endure to the end and they're like well lord I need wisdom so it sounds like he's saying to them well then just ask God for it well he'll he'll give you wisdom now where does the wisdom come from from the Word of God well thankfully there's a lot of guys that hit Bibles over there so they can have the Word of God and maybe God will say to walk out there about 14 steps and look under that rock you want wisdom there it is oh hey I mean this thing all ties together but Matthew chapter 24 and verse 22 Matthew 24:22 speaking about the Tribulation Period and except those days should be shortened there should be no flesh be saved but for the elects sake those days shall be shortened then if any man shall say to you lo here is Christ are there believe it or not for there shall arise false Christ's and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders in so much that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect now people say well the elect that's so people but the context is Jesus talking about his people the Jews in the tribulation know here the elect is those in the tribulation and it says here verse 25 behold I have told you before so here is a reason for someone to ask for wisdom somebody misses the rapture and there are Jew and everywhere they look and there's people going I'm the Messiah all look aside I'm them aside and they're scratching their head going well I'm a Jew my religion says look for the Messiah but all right God did have an ID wisdom which one is the true Messiah and it sounds like that's a good time for them to ask for wisdom so that God will say okay here's the true Messiah so that's what it sounds like to me is what it's talking about so let's continue here back to James jat back to James chapter one in verse six let him ask in faith nothing wavering so faith is believing let him ask in faith nothing wavering now it's not asking for salvation it's asking for wisdom by faith you're believing in faith okay Lord I'm believing that you'll give me what I asked for wisdom Lord please give me wisdom now that's not salvation today we don't go Lord please give me salvation I'm believing that you'll give me salvation if you're believing in your asking then you're not saved today salvation is believing in what Jesus did I have a good video on that until asking versus the intone municipal that came out and attacked me for that and they said no no we believe this that are the other thing and it's funny because I got an email thereafter someone says well I watched that and I used to believe those people now I know they're liars or the breaker I've got saved watching that video and I'm glad they they tried to call you a hair taken expose it because I wouldn't have seen it and when I saw it I saw the truth and I got saved how simple praise the Lord for that amen I love hearing of people getting saved that's a blessing and I said tell me about it and they said well I was lost all these years thinking I was saved by what I did or what I said and I would say oh god please save me every night before bed thinking that I'm saved by my asking but you showed me we're not saved by asking were saved by believing in the finished work of Christ now I trust in the atonement now I know I'm saying so that's what it's all about that importance of the atonement now we're 6 ask in faith nothing wavering for he that waiteth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed now says it's like a wave well let's go to Jude first one who else talks about a wave in a wind well that would be Jude Jude 1:11 remember what the book of Jude is about the book of Jude is about watch out for evil false prophets and false religious leaders coming in and trying to get you away from the true faith watch out for people that sneak in and try to get you away from the truth so here's what he says here in Jude 1 verse 11 through 13 woe unto them for they have gone the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward and perished in the gainsaying of court these are spots in your feasts of charity when they feast with you feeding themselves without fear clouds they are without water carried about with winds trees whose fruit withereth without fruit now when does somebody's fruit wither do you remember when Jesus in his earthly ministry came across the the fig tree and it wither and he said cursed be the fig tree Israel's likened to a fake tree and God's looking for fruit first fruits harvest gleanings God wants fruit he wants his people Israel to be fruit but these people the false Jews here are without fruit twice dead plucked up by the roots look what he says verse thirteen raging waves of the sea foaming out their own shame wandering stars to whom is reserved the blackness of Darkness forever he says their waves and they're tossed about with wind well that sounds like James 1:6 but let him ask in faith nothing wavering for he that wave earth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed interesting so it says the the the sin of of Balaam run greedily after the error of Balaam what was the error of Balaam well the error Balaam was doing what he did for money okay let's go back there again let me make sure I read that I will make sure I got that right verse and in kata it's like when you start to read the Bible as written and you read it in context it's just there's just more and more and more that comes out verse 11 we just read the way of Cain ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward so there was a girl greed there was some greed involved and someone was greedy and because of greed they wanted a reward so all that they were doing they weren't doing it for faith and for love it was for money now do you remember who Balaam was Balak was a king who hired him and said I will pay you a lot of money if you curse Israel and he wanted to curse his room he didn't want to see Israel safe he wanted money more than God's people well here we go again revelation 13 17 no man can buy or sell save he that hath the mark so in the Tribulation Period you've got the rich men and the rich man would be those that took the mark of the beast and the rich man would be those that are poor oppressed the poor and all throughout James he's always dissing the rich people James chapter 2 and verse 6 but you have despised the poor do not rich men oppress you and draw you before the judgment seats draw you before judgment seats well that sounds a lot like what Jesus said when he says they shall put you into prison and kill some of you in the context was the tribulation look what he says in James chapter 5 verse 1 through 7 go to now you rich men weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you that reminds me of Revelation when Babylon the Great Falls and people are crying and weeping and howling and it says your riches are corrupted in your garments are moth eaten your gold and silver is cankered and the rest of them shall be a witness against you and you shall eat your flesh as it were fire you shall be you should you have heaped treasure together for the last days when's the last days well the tribulation is pretty close to the last days behold the higher of the labors who have reaped down your fields which is of you kept back by fraud crying and the cries of them which have reached are entered into the ears of the Lord of savy odds subby off you have lived in pleasure on the earth and even one you have nourished your hearts is in a day of slaughter you have condemned and killed the just and he does not resist you here's somebody killed by a rich man now if the context is the mark of the beast and this is people that took the mark of the beast persecuting those that did not and it sounds like Jesus said some of you shall be killed and then in verse 7 let me patient therefore brother under the coming of the Lord behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth and have long patience for it until he received the letter the early and latter rain sounds like he's talking exactly to Jews in the Tribulation Period be patient brother Jesus is coming soon sounds like tribulation so here we have James chapter 1 back in James chapter 1 and it says but let him ask in faith nothing wavering for six for he that waiver is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and toss for now let not that man think that he should receive anything of the Lord so verse five through seven is about having faith faith in what well if it's a tribulation application believing that Jesus is the Lord and then looking for wisdom and then asking for wisdom in faith without changing always making sure you have your faith and you don't lose it huh and during to the int keeping your faith by works like this would be a way to explain it but making sure that you have faith in not changing your mind what does that mean well I did believe Jesus was the Messiah but now I'm hungry I want to eat so I'll just take the mark of the beast and I'll say that he's God no this is God don't change your mind if you believe that Jesus is the Messiah he's God don't change your mind in the Tribulation Period and then let not that man think you shall receive anything of the Lord if you change your mind in the tribulation God won't give you anything now verse 8 a double minded man is unstable in all his ways double my dear means I'm able to make up your mind you should make up your mind to do something and then do it verse 22 but be doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving your own selves so when you believe you act upon that belief by faith you do something now we're not saved by works today but in the tribulation period there's something that you got to do or maybe I should say not do in order to find salvation and that is not take the mark of the beast because if you do you're not safe so can you see how someone could be double-minded oh I don't know if I should take it no no I won't take it no I want to take it no I don't want to take it no you know hard it will be on a Jew Jews are some of the richest people in the earth we have all these jokes about the Jews being all about money and caring about money some of the richest people in the world because Jews love money and they're very good businessmen there's no doubt about that that's not a joke that's true so imagine a Jew in the tribulation going oh oh I believe Jesus the Messiah or I take the mark and I get a good of business I want some a good business yeah but I got a I don't want to go to hell but I want to have a good business a little mark no no mark no but yes but no uh it can be agonizing won't it but it's better to not take the mark of the beast because if you take the mark of the beast why it says here he shall receive nothing of the Lord verse 7 let not that man think you shall receive anything of the Lord if someone takes the mark of the beast you can't be saved so verse 9 verse 9 clearly a tribulation application let the brother of low-degree rejoice in that he is exalted now when will a brother if brother is Jew when will a Jew of low degree be exalted well the context is verse 10 at 10 but the rich so it will be a poor brother a poor person being exalted well who will be exalted in the tribulation those that don't take the mark of the beast those that don't take the mark of the beast will be poor but when Jesus comes in Armageddon they will be exalted in the Millennial Kingdom because they did not receive the mark of the beast so it's clearly a tribulation application the brother of low degree would be a tribulation person Jew who is exalted in the millennium now verse 10 and you know what I don't know if I should start on this because there's a lot to get into here about the flour and everything else and I'd like to do another one so let me let's stop here I'll go ahead and read verse 10 and then well next time I think we'll come back start at verse 10 but the rich and that he has made low because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away so the rich is made low so the rich the Bible says is made low well if you take that literally what is low low is down so wears down hell so guy takes the mark of the beast and he's rich because he can buy and sell well when Jesus comes at Armageddon he goes to hell but the poor would be exalted well to exalt is to lift up where would a poor person someone that doesn't take the mark of the beast go into the Millennial Kingdom with Christ so I can plainly see what this is talking about if the book of James is indeed written to Jews about the tribulation period this makes plenty of sense now I'm sure the people say well no you're just twisting the scriptures Robert breaker this is written to Christians okay then let's look at it as written to Christians my brother accounted all joy when you fall into device verse temptations okay I'm a saved person I want to have joy no matter what even when I fall into temptation I'm supposed to have joy of the Lord now I'm not supposed to give in to that temptation knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience yep the more that my faith is tried the more I say well Lord I love you not want to have patience verse 4 but let patience have her perfect work that you may be perfect an entire wanting nothing yep as a Christian I shouldn't want anything I should be happy with what I have even when I'm suffering amen verse 5 any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God to give it all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given unto him okay Lord I'm an idiot I need help give me some wisdom show me some things amen but let him ask in faith nothing wavering for he that way brother like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed and let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord oh so I'm not going to get anything from the Lord but the Bible says that I have an inheritance in heaven the things that I do for the Lord I get up in heaven so okay alright I'm trying to apply it to a Christian verse eight a double minded man is unstable in all ways okay okay a Christian that's double minded his unstable verse nine let the brother of low-degree rejoice and that he is exalted but the rich and that he is made low because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away yea all rich people will there they should be made low because they're gonna pass away someday okay yeah okay I can see how you could try to apply this to a Christian I understand but what does verse 1 say James a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ to the twelve drives which are scattered abroad it's literally written to the 12 tribes scattered abroad about a future time in which those that are rich by taking the mark of the beast will be put into hell and those that are poor will be exalted in me in the kingdom and there's so much of it that goes back to Jesus's teaching in his earthly ministry when he's talking to the Jews about his coming so I see this is more of an application to the tribulation so next time we will start there in verse 10 and we'll try to get a little farther along and we're going to just keep as we go through this the more we get into this book the more it just keeps saying tribulation tribulation tribulation tribulation tribulation pointing to Jews in the tribulation so that it's more doctorally to the Jews in the tribulation than it is in the church age to us today and you can't help but see that and I can't wait for you to see more all right god bless you we'll see you next time thanks for watching
