what's going on everyone thanks for joining now if you have any questions i'm here let me know i'm gonna go through a chat and i'm gonna answer as many questions as you may have okay now you're probably seeing a boxes behind me you know proud you look i have a mess you see but that's because i'm moving and this is good let me tell you why because the next house we're moving to i'm gonna be more open you know and really show you like behind scenes and i'm going to build this lab you know i'm going to build a people a few computers for my kids so i'm going to go through a lot of like gig stuff right so i'm going to show you to you okay i'm going to do a lot of content a lot of videos related to that okay so that's something that i'm excited in the next i think it will take me about three four weeks i mean three to four months to go through the entire process i'm already scheduling on the time for me to do the videos related to building the computer set up the whole uh the network at home uh set up like that whole entire lap and i'm very excited because it's like architecting and how it's gonna everything uh set up at the house so i'm excited for that so to share with you uh that but again i i decided you know let me take uh 30 minutes maybe 45 minutes today um i'm just gonna answer some of the questions that you may have and that's because lately i've been getting some messages about you know jorge i'm stuck you know i'm trying to get my first job in i.t i'm trying to get a better job and i i don't know what to do i'm try i try i'm doing this and it's just not working so again probably i can give you some good guidance and advice that can really help you you know for you to like move on and be able for you to get either your first job in it or for you to upgrade that job that you have it's a better one right so let's see let's go through that chat okay so that's a guy and what's uh let's see let's see let's go back let's go back uh a truck driver who is a truck driver let's see the name jeffrey so jeffrey if you're listening man i'm gonna tell you right now three months man like if you can do three four months and totally dedicate the time to go all in and yourself and learn the things that will allow you for you to get your first job in i.t do that because if you have a family being a truck driver is not enough and i know because look i had a conversation it was a long time it was this year it was a long time ago probably i don't remember i had a conversation with a truck driver i'm like jorge how can you help me you know i've been thinking to do or trying to get an iet but let me tell you this i'm already earning a hundred thousand dollars and i'm like that's great man and you love your job what you do well not really i do need the money i have a family to take care of but again i cannot go back and i know if i start my it career i mean that with something that's gonna pay me probably half of that and even though that's something that i may like uh uh i may like to do you know it's not gonna pay me that much and i have bills to pay and i'm like i'm like i totally agree with you man but depending on how you go through your i.t career because to tell you the truth if you do things right you can get a job in it your first job in it that can pay you 65 to 75 000 and you can stay on that job for three to six months that's it three six months and then you can go and get a job that's gonna pay you ninety a hundred thousand dollars students of mine have done that so why not you you just need to learn that skills that will allow you for you to get there right so that's a conversation that i had with him and i asked him like look man you have a family and i don't think that you wanna have that job in the next three five years and be able to miss a ton of you know uh things uh nothing with your family i mean don't you think it's time for you to like probably reverse engineer the process and how you can get a japanese tip that's something that you see yourself doing and eventually you're gonna be able to earn a lot more compared to using a truck driver you know again i had that conversation with him but he ended up not doing that much and he still i know last time i checked he's still uh doing truck driving you know again sometimes for you to get somewhere new you may have to go through some sacrifices you know and i will tell you a story that happened to me and this goes quite bad you know i remember i was earning about 10 well i remember that was 10 11 an hour that was you know how much i was earning okay about 10 11 an hour nothing to do with it by the way was nothing to do with it but i was in the process you know i was studying you know i.t for me to get a few id traffications so this is what happened okay my stepdad he came out to me and at that point just picture this okay i had a newborn baby like a newborn baby okay so i remember my partner at that time was like because this is what happens my uh my stepfather came to me like you know jorge i already talked to like the manager you know in construction a bricklayer and you can go through union and you can get a job we can they can start paying you about 20 an hour and then you can move up you know and earning more money so at that point it makes sense i'm earning i don't remember 10 11 and now i have someone that is going to pay 20 an hour nothing to do with i.t so that makes sense for many people right that can make sense for many people like okay obviously take the job because you know you're going to be able to double your income and i'm like yeah that's true and everyone told me that right my family i was like you have to get the chat i'm like no because i'm not gonna be able to put the time needed for me to study because right now i get home about 4 p.m you know well back then 4 p.m and i'm able to study i'm able to go all in and be able to uh go through the studying process for me to get my id certifications if i end up going with my step back you know i will get home about six seven probably eight pm and then i wouldn't have that much time for me to do that so you see i have to go through some sacrifices in order for me to get my first job at 19. you know and i'm telling you sometimes you have to just go through some sacrifices but that's exactly what may allow you you to be able to go to the next level because let me tell you there is a next level for anyone it's up to you for you to decide and be able to go and get it okay and that may require for you to go through some sacrifices so jeffrey going back to you again man plan it out and really get out of that being a truck driver because if not mean then maybe three maybe five years you're gonna look back and you're gonna regret it i'm telling you if you have a family if you have kids man being a truck driver and based on what you said that it seems that you're like drive most of the time there's no way no man for the family it's better to stay home why not have a job in i.t that you can work from home right that will be bad as that way you can see your family all the time so now let's see here i'm going to go through some other questions uh if i don't get to all of them again i'm going to make sure to get back to you okay uh so let's see i'm going through uh let's see so i see someone is going to college and you are a nat i'm telling you i don't know how old are you but i do not believe in college and i know society the i.t community proudly said you have to go to college you have to have a bachelor's degree and i remember having a conversation about this with someone i'm like jorge i agree like if you don't get a bachelor's degree that's fine you may end up getting a job in id i totally agree with that but i don't think that someone could get a high paying job in iet without a bachelor's degree and i'm like bro what what you think that who told you that i'm like well that's exactly what's going on i'm like no that's exactly what's not going on i don't know what you got your information from you know i have a students that don't have a bachelor's degree and they uh end up earning more than a hundred and twenty thousand dollars without a bachelor's degree and i know people too they have a bachelor's degree they work in iet and they are not earning not even close to 100k so you see that's a lot more than just having a bachelor's degree okay so don't go based on that that's something that you need to have in order for you to either get your first job an id or for you to get a better job at 19. you need to focus on and hear me out you need to focus on what the market needs what the market wants what are the skills right that you need what are the skills that you need based on what the market needs and based on what the market wants and many people don't take the time to do the research and by the way some has to do with technical some others not technical at all and this is something i see a lot of people focus on technical you know that was a comment this morning about this guy i know probably you got watching this but he's like okay i end up getting my certified ethical hacker stratification i start applying to jobs i getting a few phone calls but no job no offer and i'm like who told you that because you end up getting one id certification someone's gonna give you a job like who told you that that's not how it works and probably you end up going through that process and getting that job the same way that most people do no bueno you see not good okay so let's let me go through some other questions here having the ccna certification with a job compared to networking no no no no having a ccna certification help for someone to reach out to you that's what it does you know you have your cisco ccna someone is going to reach out to you based on what you do there how you answer the phone how you reply to that message that you end up getting through linkedin all that email that you end up getting from that point on it's if you end up getting the job or not and that's exactly what most people don't know how to do you know again you end up doing what everyone else is doing and really think about it like right now there are hundreds of hundreds of people trying to get a job at 19. and this is why because obviously last year right going through the pandemic there were thousands of people they end up you know i decided that i'm gonna grow an iet because i end up you know losing my job nothing to do with it but i end up losing my job so that was kind of the wake up call for me for me to be like hey i need to do something with my life you know so let me go online and see what i can do and obviously for most people they don't have the money time resources right for them to one get a college degree so they see oh six months nine months one year you get into this tech you know program and then you can get a job at 19. and there were thousands of thousands of people going through that so a lot of them right now they are going through that and getting their first job at 19. so even though they are a lot of jobs out there what people don't tell you is there are more people trying to get those jobs you know reach out to recruiters not say hey i need a job just ask them like really reach out to recluders and ask how many like how you see the market are there many jobs out there they're gonna say yes well then ask is there a lot of people applying for those jobs and they're gonna tell you oh a lot of them and asked so that means that there are more people trying to get jobs their jobs out there and they're gonna say yes because that's exactly what's going on but no one tells you that everyone put this nice picture oh you end up getting your bachelor's degree you end up getting your cisco ccna you end up getting your cup tia traffications and you're gonna get a job at night no that's not how it works there are other things that you have to do guys there are other things that you have to do okay uh so i have someone here i finished college and i started learning python but don't know i will continue or stop to learn ccna first i saw your videos i need help on this i have the ccna have the ccnp enterprise to still get any i.t jobs please tell me what i can do which i t job can allow me to work from home okay here we go it's not easy to get a job working from home when you want to get your first job at night team it gets a lot easier once you get to a engineer level position like some of my students i have three students they have two jobs working from home imagine this okay three students have two jobs working from home they multitask they have one computer left one computer and the right and obviously they are very effective right they are very productive but just imagine that that can happen to you you have a job that's paying you a hundred thousand dollars working from home and then you have other job is probably paying you about eighty thousand dollars working from home so you work from home and you are earning a hundred and eighty thousand dollars now probably for some of you i i don't think that's happening oh i don't think it's true or again you see you're not even open to the idea that that can happen to you now by the way for those of you that haven't subscribed to the channel i'm gonna ask you for you to subscribe okay um so yeah just be open to the idea like if there are people with two jobs working from home why not me or even just getting my first job you know uh working from home that would be great right and there are many opportunities out there but again it gets easier once you get to a engineer level position and more okay so what else let's see so kadar you said that you have your cisco system and then you have your cisco ccnp and you don't have a job you see that's a problem right there imagine and really this is for all of you let's say me right i'm like okay i'm gonna get my cisco ccna boom i get it right and that's because society the i.t community told me hey get your cisco ccna i got it okay let me go and look for a job i'm not getting that job right yes i probably getting some goals i probably end up going through the job interview process and a few jobs but i end up not getting a job okay no problem you know i'm motivated so i go to the i.t community and i'm like i don't know what to do right it's been a few weeks i applied to a few jobs i ended up getting my ccna and i just haven't got the job i don't know what else to do and then you have a lot of people right oh do this and do that and probably some of them say oh get your cisco ccnp that's going to help you you know get your cisco ccnp yeah that kind of makes sense right like if i end up getting my cisco ccna and i end up not getting a job maybe if i'm going to get that ccndp obviously i'm going to have a lot more chances so let me go and do that no that's totally wrong that's not going to help you at all imagine right you have your ccna in your ccmp and your resume and i look at it and let's say i'm the network engineer and i'm like really this guy knew an i.t with a ccna ccnp i mean come on like really that's not gonna help that's not gonna help remember on my videos there are a few other things that you have to learn that you have to focus on like one of them and if you go back on my videos it's right there a storytelling many people don't know how to story tell what they know what they have learned the experience they probably have they don't know that and listen to this okay really listen to this i can get someone of you that probably new and i.t let's say you know jorge i've been working this job for six months okay so unionized yes i'm new energy okay good good okay uh just be right here okay now who has been working in it for probably seven years who are you okay good good good okay now i have and listen okay listen i have one that's been working in iit for about six months new at 19. and i have someone else that's been working in ikey for seven years right i'm like okay and i'm gonna ask the same question to both i'm gonna ask so can you tell me you know what's the difference about tcp and udp and can you tell me what's the difference between a layer 2 compared to a layer 3 switch and i'm going to ask the same question okay questions to the other guy right what's the difference between tcp and udp and can you tell me the difference between a layer two compared to all of your three switch they're gonna answer the same thing they're gonna say the same things i'm gonna get the same answer from both now really think about that you see probably this is something that you never thought of how is this someone working in it for six months compared to someone working for seven years they're gonna end up saying the same thing and i i promise to you because i have done this like i can put those two in front of you and you will not know which one has six years compared to the other one seven years compared to another one they have six months because they're gonna end up answering the questions the same way and that's something for you to think about because obviously when you end up going through that job interview process i'm telling you i'm telling you you sound like everyone else you're gonna say the same things that everyone else is saying that's the truth that's the truth and obviously you are not the only one going through that job interview right there's probably other five seven ten people going through the same process and more likely they're gonna be asked the same questions that they're gonna ask you so how are they gonna remember you when you sound like everyone else when you answer the way that everyone else does again how they're gonna remember you you see this is why a storytelling that's big and if you don't know how to do that that's exactly what you need to do but you see unfortunately most people don't know how to do that and unfortunately most people don't care to learn that like my students they not only learn that they go and master that why because that's something huge that you need to have in your iet career and you can go with anyone else they're not gonna tell you that they're gonna tell you oh focus at this other technology but focus on this other topic and they have you all over the place it's good for them because they're getting views but is that really good for you and you've been all over the place i'm learning about linux the next week about virtualization that week after that about hacking you know that week after that probably about python that week after that about assure and then probably two three months go back and you end up learning a lot of uh things or a lot of a few things right and again you're still on the same job or you still without the job that you want thinking because you have to learn all these things that's gonna make a difference and it's not it's just not okay i just got an entry level job last week 47k mario tell me more about it i still don't have any certifications should i stay there for a year why why do you want to stay there for a year like why do you want to stay there for a year why do you want to do that who told you that by the way i used to storytelling during my interview great you see that's probably my idea where you end up getting the job because no one does that no one does that you see i haven't done this because again you see i'm moving i have a lot of things going on so but once i move to a new place i'm going to start doing a lot more things and one of them is i'm going to start bringing some of my students so they can tell you what happens like this 18 year old 18 year old i.t support engineer i.t support engineer okay 18 years old end up getting his first job an i.t not an entry-level job okay i think it was uh 27 or 28 i have to check i think it was 27 dollars an hour 27 an hour first job in i.t 18 years old man i wish i had i wish i knew what i know now when i was in my when i was going through my it career i wish you see because yes some people ask jorge how long it took you for you to get to because i still have a full-time job uh how long it took you to have that you know that position that income and that success that you have right now well it took me about 14 years because i didn't know any better most of them so see like my students for instance they end up getting the same results i have and two no more than three years it took me 14 years it took them two years and i have a few they end up getting more than a hundred and forty thousand dollars eight in their ita career and my uh uh and the three of them that i'm thinking of right now don't have a bachelor's degree one of them high school dropout one of them high school drop about earning 140 140 000 and again i cannot wait to bring them uh event uh uh on on these calls that way they're gonna probably tell you a few things that i don't know that i haven't said before you know that that way they can a lot more than just give you some guidance on what they did and how they're successful for you to believe that that can happen to you right imagine end up going through your itc rift and for you in the next two three years the most have a job that pays you more than a hundred and forty thousand dollars a hundred and sixty thousand dollars you know so i'm going through more so college is like it's all over the place yeah college is like you've been all over the place now who has the time to go to college three years four years who has the money to pay for college like really like no no bueno no bueno you know uh let's see i have a question i want to improve my personal marketing and branding online it's better to create a youtube channel or an online tech based blog website an 18 year old should go to college who said that who's rr imagi oh my god this is a this is good you know who who are you and that's the rr an 18 year old should go to college that's bad advice bro like like really like imagine this guy jesus getting advice from you right that you need to go to college man you're 18 years old there are people they end up going to college right in their same class for them in the next four years to end up getting what he already got by that time they end up getting their bachelor's degree jesus already earning over a hundred and twenty hundred and forty thousand dollars when barely someone is like no what do you mean eight because he's 18 he had to go to college yeah if you want to be a doctor if you want to be a lawyer if you want to be any of those things yes go to college like my daughter my daughter is 17 she's going to be 18 okay my daughter and i like i tell it princess you better go to college and now you're probably saying i thought you didn't believe in college no no i didn't say that i didn't say that okay what i said right like and that this is the way i talk to my kids like princess you better go to college and a good one right because she is not into i.t if she came to me and said you know that i want to be like yo i want to be an 80 engineer you know i'm like okay let's go but you will not go to college because there are better ways on how to uh get a job and be able to really build yourself to a six-figure job and for you to be able to do more than that because i don't want you for you to work for no one when you're in your 30s you know so let's see uh get a high-paying job live good make a lot of disney uh yeah but that's always for sure that's chance exactly there are other degrees beside city degrades worth it uh having my chosen agreed to fall is good no it's not good who oh my god wow that's the thing like why you keep saying college degree like that's not like that's just not like it's just not and i remember me going back when i was in my 20s and like i'm not going to be able to get any job any any type of job because i'm a high school dropout right like me thinking going to college i mean i need to get my gd first right so that was how law i was thinking and that was because society you know the uh the school you know that the government says oh you need to go to college if you want to end up uh uh having a good life you know a good job and i went through life thinking that for a few years and that me over that's the reason why i couldn't get anything good because that thinking that mindset thank god i was open thank god i was open and i'm like i see other successful people that don't have a bachelor's degree and they're i mean they have a high paying job they're doing great things in their life so i was open you know i want to learn from them and eventually things end up being on my favor and i end up finding new things you know again i was open-minded to new ways of how to go through my life and that's exactly what got me here you know and it feels good guys when you don't have to worry about money let me tell you that i know if you're not like you like because i remember those days i remember those days you know like i'm gonna put cash on my car let me check my my bank account you know i'm gonna put ten dollars you know or i will go to the groceries and i'm like man that was so many days when i will go to the groceries i'm like let me check my bank account like like yeah i can get these things but not those things man i need to wait for my next paycheck man it feels horrible right and then someone coming up to you and say oh you need to go to a college degree like really i'm barely being able to pay my like my bills and how like i no i don't have that much time like really like come on and i'm telling you i.t changed my life financially and it's changing the life of many of my students many of them you know i keep saying you know i have a student brandon really great guy he was working in iet um he was working a help desk job for four years guys and reach out to him you know you go follow me on social media and you will be able to connect with him so brandon uh was working uh i helped us jack for help test position for four years and then he had a uh a ballet parking job because he needed the money so he had a japan id entry level and then at night he was working on doublet parking and then he went through this process right now this guy i cannot tell you how much he's earning but he's earning a lot more than a hundred and fifty sixty thousand dollars a lot more than that and this happened two and a half years ago i'm telling you you know you go to your fa his facebook uh uh account and you see all these badass things they cannot buying for the cars that he has i think he has two like really badass cars again you can do whatever you want with your money right so he ended up doing cars i mean he's really like like a kick at it right he changed the parts and all of that but the thing is he's able to do that because he has that income for it you know probably many of you don't know my mom don't work because i paid my mom not to work that's something that i was end up doing through iet now really think about that for you you know what else can you do right like that paycheck that you get a month combined what you get a month right you get that like every two weeks so what you end up getting every two every every month you end up getting that every two weeks how your life can change and that can happen because you see it's not just based on having a high paying job in 19 there are many other opportunities that you can go on but you have to get to high paying job and id first for you to be able to tap on those other opportunities you know because i did i i was telling this to a a guy alex jorge i noticed on one of your videos you mentioned that in it you can earn more than a doctor that you can earn more than a lawyer i'm like yeah yeah well i don't see how that can happen i'm like look first you're doing it my way you do not end up with 200k of student loans that's one right that you're gonna end that thing for 20 years yes doctors yeah they earn 200k the good ones the more good ones yes they end up earning probably 300k oh my god that's a ton of money 300k that's a lot of money right well not a lot but that's a lot of money right so 300k okay now think about it right it takes 12 years 12 years for you to get there and then for the next 20 to probably pay a thousand to maybe 2 000 a month on student loans you can get to 300k in three years and i know probably a lot of you right now hi come on corker now now you be asked me man come on really like in two three years you can get to 300k uh yeah yeah you know there are many people out there that are earning a lot of money and i t and then on youtube they're not like you know like they're not out there they're kind of in their own thing but you see you don't reach out to them you don't like i'm telling you it's not difficult you get your first job in id three four months pay you 67 dk first job in it you stay on that job for four no more than six months and you go for a job that's gonna pay you 90 100k and then you stay there for another nine months maybe a year and then you go for that job that's gonna pay you more than a hundred and twenty hundred forty thousand dollars and then if you want you go and get another job working from home so now you have two jobs one of them pay you let's say a hundred and twenty and the other one probably pay you a hundred and forty thousand dollars now two jobs working from home right you have to be very effective right very productive you know you have to change a lot of the mindset for you to be very like a high level performer and but you end up getting 250 280 000 now that's just one option the other one consulting i was doing consulting you know when i was in my late uh let me don't go i'm gonna show you something because i i want you to believe that this can happen to you okay so let's see uh let's go here i'm gonna go through some questions guys just let me see when he sees let me see let me see so uh since you and i got my first job okay that one i went through that uh let's see how long should i should i study network class before i start ccna you know about three four weeks start i'll go if you're new network class yeah go through that uh and then go on to the ccna i'm working on the same stuff since you didn't get an experience to move on uh by that time you finished a four-year degree the job market will change yeah that's true uh studying for the ccna four hours a day okay that's good uh how um let's see someone haven't seen this don't go anywhere i'm gonna show you something that happened to me in 2014. just for you that was how many six years ago okay six years ago i'm gonna set your paycheck because i was going through because i'm moving right again and moving so i'm throwing a lot of stuff and i found a paycheck going back in 2014 and i saved that paycheck and this is why because i was proud of myself and that was six years ago one second okay i'm back so i was going through a lot of my stuff and i'm like okay and i had this in a a like a plastic bag and i got emotional because i never imagined in my life when i was in my early 20s that i was able to earn this much money okay so and it was through tech systems so you can see probably there tag systems okay uh you probably saw my address that was when i was living way back before and let me show you the date this is the date that's the day of paycheck can i can you see it ah come on you have to see it i'm gonna show it to you just wait just give me a second i'm gonna see if this camera can there we go you see that was back in 2014 guys okay now it says right there uh there we go twenty eight hundred dollars a week it was a week 40 hours oh no no no no no that's not my bad that's a pay rate so it's 40 hours the pay rate okay there we go that's a pay rate right there seventy dollars seventy dollars that's my name right there okay 2014 guys six years ago my english was a lot worse than right now imagine that and i got a senior network insistence engineer position back in 2014. i end up helping many students to do the same it shouldn't be difficult i'm telling you it shouldn't be difficult for you to get a high paying job in it sooner than later and let me tell you when i was in my 20s if you come up to me and say you know jorge you're going to end up earning a job a job is going to pay you 70 an hour i'm like bro like pay me 20 and i'm happy man like really 70 like don't make me laugh come on but again a lot of it has to do and who is the person you need to become you see no one talks about that in 19. no one talks about that in 19 i know some people probably motivate you but unfortunately they motivate you for you to go back and do the things that are not working and really think about it right probably someone on youtube may motivate you for you to like okay let me go back and continue going through this process let me go back and get this done but you go back and end up doing the same things that you end up doing before so obviously you're gonna end up getting the same outcome no change so that's where you need to think like my students go through that process like you do not go through any technical topic after three weeks you sign up on my coaching you will not go through any technical topics from me in three weeks because there are many things you have to go through and learn the first three weeks a lot of it has to do who is that person i need to become because this is basically what i tell everyone again and again and again who you are right now will not get you to the life that you always dream of so so i really hope that really helps you and that okay okay no college degree what do you recommend in regards certification i have no background in 19 mari lynn so again i will tell you this okay i have another one i know one more because i really want you to like uh do it uh this one was in 2013 guys 2013 this ah come on it has to see almost there almost there come on right there right there there we go you see it 2013 okay and i was with another company because i'm i was moving fast in my it career and that one it was uh there right there fifty dollars an hour right there right fifty dollars an hour that was in 2013 few months later i end up getting a higher job seventy dollars per hour that's back seven years ago guys that can happen to you i don't care if you forget i have an entry level job i don't care right now i have a student he's earning seventeen dollars per hour first job in i.t he is basically what he end up getting you know and he's been working there for one year and then he signed up on the program and i'm like okay so talk to me man talk to me i have a bachelor's degree okay i work in it good okay uh what job some type of uh entry-level job i'm like okay good uh how much are they paying you on like 17 i'm like bro we're like wow you have a bachelor's degree you've been working 90 for one year 17 man don't tell me that but don't worry about it because let me tell you something in the next four months you're going to get to a job that's going to pay you 75 80 000 easy and i'm not lying to you i have my notes here those are my notes you see you probably see uh 17 right there what is it like uh right there uh this is my writing guy so my he's 24 years old okay his name is jack so i'm telling you i'm telling you okay so for those uh i'm having a hard time getting a job i'm i'm thinking about getting com tia that's the worst thing that you can do i'm sorry but that's the worst thing that you can do getting your com theatrifications uh jesus one of my students 18 year old just like you 18 year old end up going through this process end up getting the cisco ccna and end up getting a 27 job first job in it i.t support engineer first job 19 18 years old but again don't think that because you're gonna get your cisco ccna that means it's gonna happen to you because there are things that you have to do before you go and study for the ccna and there are things you have to do when you are studying for the ccna and then there are things that you need to do once you get the ccna they are related and how you need to go through that jumping through process that's how you end up getting the job not based probably on the ideas that the i.t community sold you on okay now again there are really good youtubers out there they teach you good topics but but don't waste any time and listening to some of them if those topics are not related to what you need in order for you to get your first job a higher picking job in 19 because once again they gonna have you all over the place you do not need to be all over the place no need for that what's gonna allow you for you to go from point a to point b and only focus on that and unfortunately most people in it that was me by the way because i didn't know any better for many years the good thing is i kind of like wake up and kind of open my mind to like wow there's a better way how to go through it you know but yeah like don't focus on being all over the place it's just just focus on how to get from point a to point b okay it will be a lot for me to say how to do that right now because it's a process okay so now let's see how much an average do all tests cost and is there a current without going to college a ccnp aws after ccna no you do not get the ccna you see i cannot give you that advice you see guys this is other thing that i really need you to think of okay when you get advice from someone make sure they know something about you because uh filippo that for you filippo you said ccnp or aws after ccna that would be kind of dumb for me to say oh you better get the ccnp oh no no you better get the aws because i don't know you i don't know where you are i don't know uh your background i don't know what you're trying to accomplish what's your uh dream job at 90 you know and based on that uh the state that you are in i mean i don't know none of that when i know more about it then i ask the right question for you to be like wow okay now i see exactly what i need to do this is why don't take advice just from anyone sometimes you have to step back and you need to take a look what will be the best thing for me based on where i'm at and based on what i'm trying to accomplish so can i earn a 100k year with a ccna yes and no what does that mean not really you need another i.t traffication but you see that's not what you get right away you get your cisco ccna for you to kind of get an id and then you move on to the next app obviously i'm getting another traffication but that depends on you see like someone says aws no that's depends on what the market needs and wants at that point of time and on top of that based on you about more about what they do when they earn money some of them don't have a job in it and i want them for them to be more realistic with you guys and tell you you know this is how much i uh or how i earn my income you know and many of them it's not based on having a full-time job because they are earning enough for them not to have a full-time job at 19. so sometimes they cannot disconnect from what's really going on out there in the market you know so yes it's good for you to learn technical topics but are those topics that ones that you need that's the question the ones that will make a difference you know jorge can you talk about getting past screeners when applying for higher paying jobs man that's entire process right there man um you're very welcome you're very welcome um let me tell you okay if right now there's 67 people i'm gonna keep talking about the entire process if i see it goes less than 60 i'm gonna stop so you better stay in okay because this is only uh some of the things that i teach my students some of the things that they get inside a coaching program okay [Music] uh now eric i transitioned out of medical cells when my mom was enough with cancer sorry to hear that now transitioning into i.t after looking into options to reclaim my income level at 50-year starting over studying for ccna eric you should be able to get more than that 60 to 70k first japan 19. first japan 1960 to 70k i don't care what people may say to you oh that's not possible yet that's not possible that's true for them don't let their standards they have for themselves don't let the beliefs they have for themselves to become yours i have students many of them they end up getting sixty seventy thousand dollars first job and iet in just four months okay uh okay so let me tell you more about the process that you go through right uh i cannot share my screen through here i need to eat some type of application what the hell is this uh no that's too shared alive no i cannot do that you know i'm gonna see if i can uh connect the stream next time that way i can share some of the the things i have because i wanted to show you like a really bad resume compared to a really good resume because a lot of it has to do with that and again it's just based on someone reach out to you but again let's say right ask this entire process so someone says jeffrey nextgen seems like a lot of for an i.t bootcamp this is what i will tell you the honest truth about them okay they gonna uh it's gonna cost you about ten to twenty thousand dollars and something that you can do on your own do you wanna pay someone twenty thousand dollars no right and there are many programs that way right oh you don't have to pay up front you know like we don't charge you can become a cyber security engineer because that's the mojo right like you can become a cyber security engineer and you don't have to pay up front like bro really like come on like that's a scam bro and tell them that i said that it's a scam one because they're gonna make you sign a contract that you cannot get out of it and that contract says that they're gonna take for one or two years i don't know but that's one or two years a percentage of your paycheck they don't care if you end up getting a high paying job or entry-level job this is gonna they still gonna get paid because they're gonna take a percentage of your paycheck and that's gonna come out to between 10 to 20 000 number two that's no way that you can get a cyber security engineer position that's they're lining your face and there are other programs that say that this is the password right now that's what's trending cyber security engineer right you cannot get that job i'm sorry you cannot get that job why because in order for you to get that job you need to have some background and networking if you don't have hands-on background and networking you will not get a cyber security engineer position it's just not happening okay oh eric i mean i'm starting over at 50 years old eric i will tell you this i have a a student sarita okay she comes from the medical uh field a billion i think it was something with billing uh nothing to do with i.t and it took i will be honest it took about seven months six seven months to get her first job in iit after going through this process with me seventy five thousand dollars seventy five thousand dollars first job in it working from home working from home seventy seventy-five thousand dollars and i'm gonna show you here let me see if i can find her uh look uh let's see let's see i'm gonna show you because i'm gonna oh no no no no no no no uh i'm getting there i'm gonna show you uh let's see here uh let's see here no no let's see i'm not definitely working my t that collision oh there we go okay right there right there her name is sarita five 75 dollars come on uh you probably see it but anyways so you see it's h doesn't matter as long as you know how to go through the process okay uh la land one that's another company is the same thing guys uh what do you think about land won their program and if that's the same thing it's the same thing they charge a channel money they teach you basically the technical topics and that said they don't teach you what you need in order for you to get that job i'm telling you they don't teach you that look i have a coaching program you don't have to sign up you don't have to fly just go through it and read it read it because right there that's a lot of information for you to be aware oh this is what i need to do this is what i need to learn okay good if you read that page okay uh what i offer but just go through it and see the details you can do that on your own if you want to do that but at least you know what you need to focus on you know and really think about it right really think about it why would i my students right go on three weeks not technical topics now probably that's what you need to think okay when you go to any other program right away first day technical we're going to teach you about networking let's say we're going to teach you network fundamentals we're going to teach you what's a router a switch blah blah blah blah blah blah right like i don't do that with you for three weeks because there are things that you need to learn first i'm telling you there are things that you need to learn first for instance the process of learning most people don't know how to learn unfortunately okay uh now chris i don't know what you're saying man how can i get uh do you offer pain yes man right there uh mario right there that's a payment plan right there you'll just go through the entire page man if you wanna uh send join mario rants cross again that's a link right there if you but really like if you more than just i.t topics there is more than just id traffications you know you may have three you may have four you may have five it traffications but when you end up going through that job interview process you're going to position yourself exactly like the way that that other person is even though the other person only has one id certification uh what does entry-level t position pay again 67 decay you see edison is just giving you some advice uh he went through my process uh eric uh it shouldn't take you six eight months if you go all in that can take you four to six months depending on the time so eric if you like and this is a time this is a time for you to do this okay people keep telling me to get the security plus after the a plus uh yeah don't listen uh don't don't get the a plus i end up doing that and i regret it and i will tell you this too okay um i had a picture i don't know if i'm gonna be able to find it but uh i was teaching and listen some of you probably don't know this i was teaching the camp tia a-plus and the camp kia neville plus way back and i was giving advice i was telling my friends look if you want to get an id this is exactly what you need to do you need to get your com tia eight plus and you come tia never plus you have to do that because that's how i did it that's how maybe a high school dropout ended up getting my first job in iet and i ended up doing that for about two years i had this small business where i was teaching you know that a plus and network plus even though i had a good job back then i didn't know everything that i know right now so will i advise anyone to go through that hell no that would be the dumbest thing that i will advise someone to do i'm getting their a plus and never plus no don't do that anthony oh no topics the right way i'm telling you you know did you end up learning the the topics the right way i passed the first part of my a-plus so what i should do now uh take two losses and walk out like really for that person they end up getting that a plus the first exam take your losses and walk out what that means okay you're not paying for that but don't go in and pay another three hundred dollars to get the eight plus i tell even my students i i've been told uh because i'm working with uh uh edison right now that guy is in the chat one of my students uh he showed me the resume i'm like bro i know you end up taking the a-plus but you're not gonna put that in there man because when you put that you have that people right away think that you are new entry-level job no bueno no bueno no good no a-plus that's not gonna help you okay i have to go guys because i have a call with one of my students um but again anyone that's right there and do not apply if you're not serious because sometimes i get people that are interested and like bro i don't work with people that are interested because they don't make happen i work with people they want a change that means a change in their life and a change in their ita career okay i'm telling you but please don't focus too much on just i t terrifications there are other things related to marketing and storytelling about influencer other things that will help you big time big time it's better to learn that then go and get another two three it terrifications you know i remember that conversation i had with this guy i'm like okay why do you have that many id traffications on your resume i'm like what do you mean like bro you have a ton of them that's not good i'm like what what do you mean not good like that was a lot of time and effort man for me to do that i'm like look when people see this some people may laugh at you like what do you mean like laugh at me like i have a ton of id certifications what do you mean laughter me like look man many people and they and i'm i'm like oh my god that's so true right anyone knows that you can get the questions of any exam anyone knows that that means that yes you probably have five seven i.t traffications they may think of you like oh this is one of those guys that memorize the questions and don't know the mortifications you have on your resume that the the more more the worst bad for you really bad i'm telling you very bad so my last few jobs that i applied i only put the jobs i mean that certifications they will help me for that specific position and then my last few jobs i never put none of that tia certifications end up getting some of the microsoft traffications they end up getting and even the ccda i end up getting that weight back from cisco and my last two jobs that was not needed so i didn't put it because once again people don't want to have all that bs there okay how long does the system need take to finish all depends four five six weeks guys once again i'm gonna leave it with this okay and for those of you that haven't subscribed subscribe right now going back when i was in my 20s guys i didn't know that i will be able to earn this much money and i already show you this check for 2014. 70 guys 70. this can happen to you guys seventy dollars an hour and that was back in 2014 it's not difficult when you know what to do it's not and it has nothing to do with what the i.t community told you what society told you oh you need to have a degree no you don't you don't you don't you need to have this many years of experience no you don't you don't my previous job i end up being a senior network and system engineer my previous job and right there on the job description bachelor's degree required and as you may know i'm a high school dropout don't have a bachelor's degree and i end up getting the job and when i end up getting that job yes i had a few microsoft certifications i had my ccna i had my ccda i didn't have my ccnp but even though because what i did i ended up getting a senior level position network and system engineer senior level position you know i end up taking my ccnp about a year and a half ago you know um before like uh two months before that pandemic you know when they were about to expire i end up doing that so again there's ways on how you can get a hype in japan 19. okay so good night uh sure uh
