what's going on let's talk about what are the two top iet certifications that you need to get in order for you to start your it career and that means for you to get your first job an iet and yes there are only two iet certifications that you need i know that you're probably thinking that you may need more than two maybe three maybe up to four i.t certifications in order for you to get your first job and i team and i know because that's exactly what most people go through that's exactly what most people think of and how to start their iet career but let me tell you something you only need two i.t terrifications let me tell you something else no you do not need that computer a plus in order for you to start your it career and i know you're probably thinking well you know jorge i'm completely new at 19. like totally new and i've been to the i.t community and that's exactly what many people advise me to do guide me to do you know that's exactly what you need to do you need to get your computer a plus and then once you get that go after and get your computer network plus and once you get that done then go and get your computer security plus so you see up to that point now there are three i.t certifications that you need to get and once you get them maybe okay maybe you end up getting your entry-level job at 90 okay are you listening an entry level job in 19 and that's not good and by the way that's exactly how i end up going through my iet career because i didn't know any better that's the reason why i'm doing this video because i really want to help you for you to focus on what are the two it terrifications that you need to get in order not for you to get an entry-level job in it you know because let me tell you something it matters and yes it matters a lot the first job that you get in your it career so why not get a job that's going to give you many opportunities for you to grow your it career you know that job that's going to give you that opportunity for you to do that hands-on you know for you to learn a lot more about what's on network infrastructure right and obviously a job is going to pay you a lot more compared to an entry level job now last thing before i take you on one of the top two i.t certifications is that this is not something that i think it may work or this is something that like you know that would be a good idea if someone will not know this is something that many of my students have gone through and it works because none of my students end up getting an entry level job and yes many of them were completely new and i t so i'm gonna ask you for you to be open-minded because this is something that you know i wish you know i had someone telling me this many years back you know this is a better way to do it compared to only focus on computer certifications okay so let me take you to this process okay now you probably see a ton of id certifications right we have the computer a plus but let me tell you something you do not need your computer a plus certification and i know that you probably have not just one not even two a entire community right the iit community telling you you need to get your computer a plus that's the way to go no there is a better way okay now many people go after the google i.t support professional certification no you do not need that you know google never had any id certifications for so many years for now because they want to take a share in that cloud market they decided to obviously come out with id traffications and for someone to get into i.t with google right they decided to do the google iet support professional certificate and i see many people going after that you do not need that okay none of my students again focus on this i.t certification or this one nah good again there are better ways so now let's get back here and now obviously right this is you right you are going through your it career or probably you are thinking about starting your iet career and you're going to the market to see how can you do that you know how can i do that you know be able to get in i.t be able to get my first job in it and once again there are ways and how you can get a good job in it that it's not an entry-level job you know so going back here you know jorge i want to become a cyber security engineer so i know that a company at security plus can help me to do that no if you're going after your first job in it you do not need your computer security plus certification you know now don't take my word for it you know take the time and go to the market and see how many people right now have their computer a plus their competitor network plus their company a security plus and they cannot get a job in iet explain that to me and there are hundreds of them out there unable to get just any job in id right so going back here so what about jorge you know i wanna go into cloud you know i wanna become a cloud engineer so what that will be is probably i'm gonna go with amazon aws an ak i will get a practitioner exam uh no you don't do that right now you don't do that right now okay i don't care if you wanna be you know a cloud engineer a cyber security engineer a network engineer devops no it doesn't matter what you need to think of it right now is i need a job in my team it's gonna allow me for me to get the hints on right and opportunities for me to grow once you get your first job in it not an entry-level job a good job then you can branch out and then you can go on cyber security now you can go and become a network engineer now you can become a cloud engineer you know that's really up to you but you that's exactly what you need to focus on right now that's so much advice out there people that give you a ton of guidance that will not help you you cannot and i need you to listen to me you cannot become a cyber security engineer out of that right my first job in i.t no you know that's exactly what many people are doing even a cloud engineer no you need that background in networking hands-on not from an entry-level job an entry-level job that's a job help desk a desktop support that's a field services a pc computer tech those are entry-level jobs and no you do not need to go through any of them there are ways on how you can get again a good job at 19. now going back here right so what about you know the network plus okay and i need you to listen to this okay if you are completely new and i t and you have no idea on how one device communicates with another device you have no idea what's an ip address you have no idea what's a router what's a switch you have no idea of it okay go and study and i need you to listen okay i need you for you to study the content that topics of that network class but do not take the test because you do not need a compatib network plus and that will save you about three hundred dollars again you do not need the computer network plus and once again if you are completely new and i this go through that content okay go through the topics and study them and once you do that right away you jump into the ccna and that's exactly the first certification that you need to get that cisco ccna every students they go through my process right that way that i approach they go through this that's cisco ccna that's one okay and once again if you are completely new i know that probably you're gonna have a ton of people in the i.t community you know i don't think that's right because this is not an easy test and i totally agree with that but that's the reason why you're gonna take a few weeks not months a few weeks for you to study that company and network plus that topics okay study them but do not okay i repeat do not take that exam don't give competitive 300 for you to take it you know once you get your ccna that network plus totally and completely irrelevant okay let me tell you something once you get these two certifications a plus and never plus and you go to the market you are basically telling the market hey i'm new i'm completely new and i t and i'm desperate just give me something you know give me an entry level job don't do that there are better ways again on how to go through your i.t career and how you're going to be able to market yourself and how you're going to be able to position yourself and how you're going to be able to sell yourself and you see this is something probably no one told you now that you got into iet everyone talks about i.t certifications and let me tell you something i t traffications help yes a lot but in order for you to get that job you need a lot more than i t certifications that's how many of my students end up getting a good job at 19 not an entry level job even though they are completely new in this field in it okay so this is number one now you're probably thinking if i ask you which one you think is next because remember you need two i.t certifications now you probably come up to me saying jorge you know i don't have that much time can you tell me what are the top two id certifications okay number one cisco ccna okay which one is number two i don't know what do you mean i don't know yes i don't know that much about you about what you want and about what the market wants based on where you live are you listening to this you see when you go to the market right you're going to be like hey i want to get an id you know i don't know what to do oh you know well i don't care where you are right now but in your personal life you know in your i.t career but you know you need to take these two three it terrifications you know because that's exactly what everyone is doing so yeah go ahead and do that like no you see let me tell you something i have two students i have obviously a lot more right now two students right both of them end up getting that cisco ccna one of them is a studying okay cloud now the question is is starting cloud assure or a starting cloud aws well depending on how the market is at that moment he's starting assure but now i have another student okay studying aws both have the cisco ccna now the second certification one of them is assure the other student aws why because it's not based on what i think it will be better no it's based on what the market needs what the market wants based on where you are right now where you live and that can probably change in the next six months so this is now for you to do some research and be okay i'm gonna go after the cisco ccna and then based on the research that i did you know today you know this week i'm gonna go after and get my uh a sure certification no because probably by that time that you get your cisco ccna the market had changed and now they're probably based on where you are they're looking for someone else that has probably experienced knowledge background related to maybe linux or related to probably virtualization okay that's vmware or probably python okay now one thing here what about the ccmp because by the way i see many people right now that have the cisco ccna they went to the market obviously trying to get a job and they're not getting any job offers so what they think is well if i'm not getting a job offer right now you know i think i need another i.t certification so that one certification you know i'm gonna go higher i'm gonna get my cisco ccmp and i see many people that are completely new and i t they end up getting that cisco ccna but unable to get their first job in i.t now they're going after the ccnp thinking that once i get this will be a lot easier well let me tell you how it is let me tell you how it is people may laugh at you trying to get your first job at 90 and you having the ccmp they will not take you seriously so what that means in order for you to have that ccnp you need to have some hands-on background experience in real world okay in a job so ccmp it's out of the question again only ccmp once you have a job once you have the hands on and you want to move up to a engineer level position engineer level position not before you see you have to really think about how you need to go through your iet career if not you're gonna be all over the place you're gonna do this one thing because one guy is telling you oh you need to lead you need to learn linux okay let me do that and then a week after you find someone else saying no no no no you need to learn python that's exactly what you need any companies you know looking for someone that knows python okay let me learn that too and then a week goes by and then you find someone else saying you know no no you need to learn cloud you know like okay well which one you know i go with google amazon aws or microsoft you know sure again you end up being all over the place this is why this process that i teach my students to go through works and what i've been telling them i'm gonna i'm gonna i'm telling you i'm telling you right now so which one you need first the cisco ccna certification and once again if you are new in it go through that content go through the topics under network plus that will take you probably three four five weeks for you to do that and then right away jump into that cisco ccna then depending on that market based on where you are your location right you're gonna do some research and that's a process that you have to go through to find out you're gonna go through probably maybe 10 20 job postings and be like okay let me see what they're looking for and i'm telling you if you really take the time you're gonna see a pattern and be like okay now i noticed that right now many companies are looking for someone that knows python that's gonna help me oh no no no i see a lot more right now they're looking for someone that knows a little bit of cloud aws and that's how you go after your second it terrification now let me tell you something okay you do not have to take your second exam or second certification in order for you to apply to your first job in it when you are about to okay when you are about to probably you are 60 80 percent into like getting it done that's when you go to the market and apply for a good job at nit not an entry-level job okay and it matters once again you know how you're gonna market how you're gonna position yourself how you're gonna sell yourself now let's say right based on the market let's say i live in chicago i do the research i end up getting my ccna you know just today so now i'm gonna do my research and what will be next and based on that market not based on what people are telling me because they have no idea where i'm at no idea so it's not based and they know it's based on that market at that moment based on where you live so i do that research and i found out that i need this cloud i see many jobs asking for that and a lot more on aws compared to assure so that's my focus for you probably something else for you probably be like you know i've been looking too many jobs by where i live right now and i see a lot of python a lot of it so i think it will be a better chances you know for me to learn that so i'm gonna combine these two so again it all depends on where you are now if you have any questions i'm gonna make sure me to answer that question so right now on the comments right and getting your point of view or any questions that you have because obviously i'm here to help you i'm really here to give you that guidance that i wish someone has given me many years back because i end up going through my iet career like most people are going through it right now and you're gonna waste a ton of time you're gonna be frustrated because you are not getting the results that you want you see my approach it's totally different and i'm everything that i went through that's exactly what i've been teaching my students and it works many of them got a good job at nit not an entry-level job in i.t because once again it matters the job that you get now here right before so right now you know it's the cisco ccna that's the one that you're gonna go after right now before you study there's something that you need to do before that something you see when my students go through my process i do not let them to access the ccna content i don't why because there is something else here a high paid skill that you need to learn or start learning and eventually for you to master and that's one thing that we're going to go through on the next video because this is something that you have to do that may take you a week to maybe three weeks but this is a must before you go to on getting your first it certification this is a must because this will help you for you to defeat differentiate yourself from everyone else you see and this is something that no one told you probably in the iet community oh you need to get this one i did traffication okay let me do that and then you go through the book you go through videos you go through a ton of other things no there is something that you need to do for a week two weeks you know maybe three but that's something that you have to do first something that you have to learn and eventually master but you do that for two three weeks and then you jump into that content that technical content and that will make a difference because let me tell you something the way that you learn technical information matters a lot if not you're gonna sound like everyone else who's everyone else the other 20 40 candidates they are going after the same process the same job that you want the candidates they are they end up talking to the same people that you're going to end up talking to and you don't want to sound like everyone else so this matters so go to the description and you're gonna find that video and what's
