today I'm not interested in just playing New Super Mario Bros u deluxe that would make too much sense instead I'm gonna try to collect every single coin and when I say all coins I mean all of them including the p-switch coins and rings red rings green rings and blocks that have coins in them the ones that don't count are coins from enemies and star coins now why not star coins I mean it's got it in the name well they actually don't add to the coin counter so while I will be getting some I don't technically need to get all of them now in an emergency if I can't beat a stage I am allowed to attempt the Wii U version and see if I can beat it on there and then I'll be allowed a free pass since the two games are so similar I figure that this is more than fair so starting with New Super Mario Bros u let's dive into one one to ensure I didn't miss any coins I dove into the coding of the game and found every hidden coin I needed shoutouts the master vermilion on helping me with this his channel and discord is in the description using this code I discovered a platform at the very beginning that I didn't even know existed until now this level was a pain at first because I have to ground pound 52 flowers and yes they all had coins that I needed doing this as Mario was giving me issues because I didn't have enough time so we're switching to toadette since she grants us an extra hundred seconds and one two was a pretty simple level I learned where this invisible coin was thanks to seeing the code now one tower seemed like a breeze until I got to this one brick I wasn't sure if there was a coin in there and after checking it turns out there is now toadette can't break this with a jump for ground pound or spin but thankfully all we need to do was freeze a dry bones and throw it at the block I gotta say that was a close call and the rest of world 1 was pretty simple for 1/3 I just needed to be careful of all the mana moles 1 4 had tons of flower coins so I had to be quick and nimble 1 5 was a cakewalk and the same goes for one castle and just like that we are done with world one now along the way I decided to try some levels I didn't need to just for fun starting with one blooper and as it turns out this one actually wasn't fun on immediately these bubble coins went above and below the level so I couldn't touch them even with tow debts good swimming as impossible as this seemed I kept trying to level over and over to improve my route in movement and then I realized something about these bubble coins the ones that you do miss can actually spawn back in all you have to do is move away from where they spawn go back and you can try to get them again I had to do this several times and as you can see there are no more coins in this area so despite how difficult this was I eventually got them all and was able to beat the level and now it's time for world 2 - 1 was really simple - 2 wasn't the easiest to see but was more than doable in - 3 gave me no issues and I thought - tower would be the same kind of story but the ending threw in a twist normally all you have to do to get to boom-boom is spin this corkscrew and pick one of these four pipes to shoot out of but every pipe has its own row of coins and you get launched all the way to the top with no way of going back so I did what any normal person would do I whipped out some extra controllers and got four players out of team this is just me playing so I had to keep my three teammates and bubbles on the way back up the original plan was to place everyone on a different pipe spin the corkscrew then put P Chet on the last pipe and push down on every controller at the same time and that didn't really work so basically I had to use a combination of bubbling characters after launching them and keeping one alive at the bottom it was messy but I got all the coins thankfully the next level to 4 was a breeze to get through - 5 was fine - but the ending was really irritating I needed to be P chat to get to the top with spike but I had to get these bottom coins on my first try since the platform falls at the end I kept either getting hit or falling off and realized I shouldn't have recorded this at 3 in the morning I eventually got all the coins and moved on to 6 was a pretty fun level and learned just how many coins there were in the sky - Castle was also super easy and that is the end of world - but for fun I wanted to try to ice the secret level in this world and this was a mistake in this level was absolute hell not only was everything slippery but these Piranha Plants suck there's giant blocks of ice everywhere and you must melt the small blocks herself to get the coins or half the plants melt them this was really tedious and it was easy to get hit by the plants fireballs but that wasn't the worst part it was this green ring segment the first two parts of this aren't too bad but looking ahead there's a set of four coins that get engulfed in an ice block if you aren't running full-speed at them so getting the green coins in this set of four was not working out at all even after an hour of attempts so I tried using two characters the plan was to run and jump with both of them have one run into the second segment of green coins in the other for the set of four sacrificing themselves and that didn't work so I thought three players would do the trick I ran toad and toadette into the green coin spots before getting the ring switched and Abbott hit the green ring and swept into the set of four coins but even then I couldn't grab all the coins because the plant dropped the ice block faster than he usually does so that's just lovely I got to do all this with good luck also being on my side and after another hour of attempts this happened so yeah this level is beatable even though I didn't need to finish this why do I do this to myself but on to world 3 I came to Revelation that by ground-pounding or spinning at the top of some palm trees they'll dropped four coins this means I had to go back and recompete the levels in world two that had these palm trees thankfully I could still do this while getting the other coins so after that I went back to three one and the PAL block section was a bit close but I got all the coins before they disappeared three - reintroduced the bubble coins but they were much easier to get than the blue per level from world one some random spawning coins required precise swimming to nab them all but it wasn't too bad three Tower wasn't too shabby but I did need to carefully time getting the coins at the end so I wouldn't get hit too much from the spikes three ghost house was a bit tedious but more than doable three three was really annoying the cheep cheeps kept getting in my way but it was more than possible I also had a close call with this pal block part I almost lost a coin but I was able to grab them all 3/4 was also annoying because the urchins made it hard to get some of these coins but you can't complete the level regardless 3/5 wasn't as bad as I thought it would be it was actually pretty straightforward and 3castle was really easy which concludes every level in world 3 and with that it's time for world 441 was a really fun level the plow through in 42 was also easy to knock out for Tower was going okay until the halfway point this platform continuously Rises with lots of floating coins in the air the problem is reaching the coins before the platform passes them after several tries I got a rhythm down and started to get all the coins but the end of this level is just insane her so I thought there's coins and coin blocks on complete opposite sides and I simply could not figure out how to get them and looking back I was thinking way too hard about this I tried using three players and putting them and spots the grab coins I tried freezing dry bones and throwing them for coins and none of that was panning out it turns out all I had to do was run back and forth and that was it now I did have to be quick with almost no errors but it wasn't as impossible as I made it out to be the next few levels were easy 4/3 was pretty fun 4/4 has nothing to write home about and 4/5 had these icicles that made me a bit weary but it was more than possible playing for ghost house didn't worry me because the coins would be hard to get it was finding them all that was the problem this is the most complex ghost house in the game just looking at this code and seeing every room made my brain hurt there's over a dozen rooms with some of them being duplicates and others not so I decided to color code each room to keep track of where to go yellow is different rooms while red is the duplicates now on to the level itself there's a ton of p-switch coins to grab around the end it was a bit of a pain because I had to get the third star coin but I also had to get all the coins from the platform that got me there in the first place thankfully I can just stand here and let the coins run into me what's important to know is that I don't want to hit the p-switch in this room because these blocks don't have coins and so therefore they don't count so after all of that this level is actually possible and to finish off forecastle wasn't too challenging I just had to be patient with all the flops and that wraps up world for so now underworld fine well after the ship level of course the auto-scrolling made this one a bit scary but you can't get all the coins pretty easily now 5-1 futures our first big obstacle I came to this staircase of blocks and every block I hit had coins in them so I checked the code and saw that every coin block here had coins and I wasn't gonna be able to get these why did Nintendo even put coins in here the only solution would be to try this on the Wii U version but that's a last resort only and we have other options two of the secret levels we found earlier both lead us the world 6 so let's head over there 6 1 was pretty easy and pretty fun 6 2 was a bit of a hassle because of the poor keep up fer but the coins were all obtainable 6 tower kept me on the edge since I had to play most level with a mini mushroom but I was able to complete it 6 3 was a lot of fun to play and 6 4 was dark but all the coins were Nabal so at this point world 6 was going pretty well but then we hit 6 5 by going above these rocks were sent to this sky section now if you don't remember what this evil horrible wretched piece which does well let me show you lord have freaking mercy so obviously I'm not gonna be getting all these coins as one character I'm gonna need to be more creative my first idea was to hold up Mario and float across with P Chet but for some reason I can't float when holding him then I remembered that baby Yoshis existed so I went back to world 1 grab the pink one ran all the way back to world 6 and tested out the Yoshi with just toadette I was grabbing tons of coins doing this but Yoshi is just way too slow and the coins disappeared before I even got to the end so then I tried using three players gave them all acorn suits and taped down the run buttons so I wouldn't have to worry about holding this while using all these controllers at once and well not much came from that so I stacked Mario and toda and decide to fly down I was able to get to the end this way but I couldn't grab every coin I tried this again with Mario & Luigi's since they're taller and was able to get even more coins but still not all of them then I stack two characters on top of each other tape down the run buttons on both of my pro controllers so it'd be easier to do this and gave it another shot and I actually got kind of close on a couple attempts but even still I couldn't get them all at this point I was close to giving up and crazy enough there is a video of this being done it's actually made by Nintendo themselves it requires four players all using the Acorn suits independently and it's really impressive and after watching this I knew I couldn't do this on my own but it was technically possible it's a good thing I don't have to do this level instead I could move on to six six this was the most annoying autoscroller to play I kept missing coins with toadette because the coaster just moved too fast for me to react on time I actually switched to Mario and made him big so my hitbox was bigger and that helped ally and I eventually got all the coins moving to the second tower in world six it was really simple and 6/7 was really slow going but overall an easy level but then came six castle this one is nothing short of torture when you stand on certain Bowser blocks coins fly out of the lava trying to get these without them falling back in is a nightmare this set of six coins at the very beginning forced me to put Mario on the left side just so he could grab two coins and then I could get the middle and right ones before they disappeared or got squished by this block and this is the first 10 seconds of the level the rest of it has more coins that does this crap and I had to keep retrying because it's not easy grabbing these coins perfectly every single time but then there is this orange switch and you know it appears innocent enough but let's see what happens [Music] look at how many coins there are look at how spread out they get what am I supposed to do my first idea was to get four players and put them all on the top I tried to put them all in spots where coins with land after hitting the switch but the stupid dry bones kept hitting them so I just winged it the first time and it didn't really work so I realized I needed to kill the dry bones by using an ice flower but now I can't get up there to do that even if I try bouncing off someone's head so after getting all mad about this once again I'm thinking too hard all I had to do was fly a character up and then does bubble ice tote at to the top that way and after all of this I destroyed every dry bones and carefully placed each character in their spots and after trying this several times I still couldn't get all the coins the problem with this strategy in general is there's a set of coins on the left that I can't get to because the screen won't zoom out enough to let me get them so six castle is completely hopeless at this point I have one option left and that's the go back to five one try to beat that on the Wii U and head for five ghost house because the secret exit there leads the world seven so with that here we are actually using a Wii U again normally if you tap the blocks trying to break them nothing's gonna happen but she can break these blocks by entering star mode with the boost blocks basically you have to step on lots of boost blocks at once to fill this meter then touch this star when it's full and now you can break the blocks and get those Miss coins thanks to this strategy I am able to beat five one and I got a pass on the switch version now world five isn't gonna get any easier five to had so so many bricks to break and even worse most of them move in and out of this gross poison just completing this one in time was a struggle I really had to optimize the way I broke bricks so I could barely break them all in time and then five three didn't seem too bad until I checked the code and found out that all of these bricks have coins in them but since five two is possible we don't need to finish this level and we can move on and then five tower is this snake block level you already know this is gonna be a tough one with some practice I got all the coins in the first but the second half has a piece which not only is there a good chunk of blue coins but there's two spike balls swinging back and forth and completely in the way as one person this wasn't happening so I tried stacking Mario on top and while that did allow me to get more coins I didn't know what strategy would work I tried standing on this block to get the coins on the left but then there was no time to get the coins on the right and after another hour or two of attempts I got down to two coins and knew that this was possible at this point the only feasible way to do this was to make sure Mario and toadette were fully powered up and I had to carefully aim Mario at this monster man acorn suit to do that by the way all while getting the other coins and not getting hit at all until the p-switch section and then [Music] I actually did it in thank God because this allowed me to finish level and move on to five ghost house this one was a little confusing but not too hard I definitely needed Pete Jett for the room where the floors fall because being able to float down made it easy to grab all the coins and with this secret exit we have one level to go until world 7 and that is five beetle this is our last obstacle all we have to do on this autoscroller is hopped from beetle to beetle and oh my god this is not happening seriously look at how many coins there are after lots of tries I wasn't able to get even half of these coins I tried stacking with Mario I tried using baby Yoshi I tried a pea a corn suit I tried crying in the corner but there was no luck to be had and even if I could get all of these there's still two more sets of p-switch coins which is also not happening considering they're on a timer so despite all of our efforts it is not possible to beat New Super Mario Bros u while touching every coin but hey we can try new super Luigi u at least so let's jump into that and see if we have more luck now with Luigi you were granted 100 extra seconds using toad n so most of world one was a breeze one one one two one tower in one three were a cakewalk one four and a lot of flowers to get but it was possible and one five gave me no troubles at all one castle wasn't too bad until the end normally you hit this peace switch and get the blue coins to get across these buncher's but I also have to grab the coins that I used as platforms I figured out their patterns and eventually got fast enough where I could barely damage boost across all the monsters and nab every coin and that is world one so on to world two two one had nothing to challenging I just needed to watch out for the spiked balls for two - I had to time getting these p-switch coins carefully but otherwise it was pretty easy - three went smooth as well outside of the ending do you see these blocks yeah I'm sure you can guess by now they all have coins in them and we can't access them well of course this level is possible in the Wii U version we're not even going to bother because we don't need to finish this level to move on so after that the rest of world 2 was pretty painless - tower - four - five - six and two castle were a breeze to get through and with that world to is complete and starting at world three three one gave us no issues three two was one of the easiest water levels to finish and three tower was a knock out three ghost house was surprisingly simple three three took a while because there were so many tree coins to get but otherwise it was effortless and the same goes for three four three five introduces not a p-switch but a pea rain it's basically just a piece which though you go through it and out come some blue coins but look how many we have here even with toe nets good swimming I could barely get half of these coins in the amount of time we're given I even tried using baby Yoshi which lets you swim even faster under the water but even then I still missed tons of coins I think with four people he could probably do this but is one person will have to stop here and move on to world four and see how far we can get so for one has some annoying bruisers but the level is pretty simple and the same goes for four two and four Tower they were rather straightforward now for three would probably be impossible if we didn't have the power of peach at after getting these p-switch coins we still have to get these coins on the bottom by using a couple of jumps and very carefully floating we can use peaches extra jump or her safety jump in which you automatically get launched off when close to a pit after a few tries I eventually got all the coins doing this for four was another level that was no issue knocking out and four or five baby realized just how many coins there on these rolling circles I had to wait for quite a bit to get every coin but alas it's more than doable for ghost house had me weary of the coins that flew out of the walls but otherwise it was an easy level and forecastle seemed like a piece of cake but it actually isn't that's right all of these freaking blocks have coins that the swamps can get but not Mario so obviously this level is out of the question we could attempt this on the Wii U version but we don't need to because there's a secret exit that's open for us to try so onto for flip RIS in this level was really easy and that allows us to skip world 5 entirely and move right to world six six one is easy as pie as long as you have ice balls six two is a bit nerve-wracking because of the porky popper but overall it's not too bad six tower has goals that make me growl and let me explain why there's a small of bricks that all have coins in them the only problem is we can't reach them all without letting the girls destroy our precious pricks and stealing our coins but thankfully this is more than possible on the Wii U version so we get a pass here 6:3 was relatively easy you just have to watch out for all the spike balls 6 4 is easier than it looks the auto-scrolling isn't that bad despite the p-switch coins being a bit of a close call 6 5 is nice and sweet the second tower in world 6 is one of the shortest castles to knock out and 6 7 was pretty straightforward 6 castle was much simpler than the mario bros u version i was able to knock this out and move right onto world 7 so that's pretty great we've already made it farther than we did in mario bros u 7 1 is easy thanks to the ice bros freezing a lot of the fuzzies for us and 7 2 is actually just not happening see there's this segment of blocks that all have coins in them in yada-yada this could be done on the Wii U but we don't need to do that because we can try 7 3 instead and this level is pretty fun to play through and the same goes for 7th our 7 ghost house is one of the strangest levels considering most of the coin blocks attack you and since these blocks attack you they're considered enemies and as we've already established enemy coins do not count so with that we move on to seven four and seven five and they're both pretty easy to knock out 7 6 is an interesting one because at first I thought the screen was scrolling too fast and there was too much to collect but after some tries I learned where the coins would spawn and where you would have to be to get them at least for this beginning part the ending makes this level not possible and that's because half of these coins make you be in a certain place for them to spawn in there's a middle row and bottom row of coins you can get but you could only grab one of these at a time since the screen Scrolls now you can probably do this with two players but it doesn't matter because there's an alternate route that lets us travel right to 7 Castle and skipping this level entirely the castle isn't that hard but it's extremely annoying having to wait for these gargantuan walls to go back and forth and this is it guys world 7 is done and we're at the airship before world 8 right away we have a big pile of blocks and surely these can't be oh yes they can all of these are actually coin blocks and this levels in Auto scroller meaning we can't build up star mode fast enough on the Wii U version to get them and on top of all this the ship's giant hand destroys all the blocks right in front of us just rubbing it in but unfortunately it is not possible to beat new super Luigi u while touching every coin but with that I hope you enjoyed this video and if you want to see some more spicy coin action go check out Niko bbq's video on New Super Mario Bros u deluxe where he doesn't touch any coins thanks a bunch for watching guys and I hope you have a great day [Music]
