[Music] foreign how's it going everyone and welcome back to the Joy building [Music] so in this video I'm going to show you how to improve your ship layout so it's not like a massive Maze and you're running around in circles as well as building quite a cool cargo ship let's get into it yeah get out the way fella come on back it up back up back up Jesus so let's start with our cockpit we're going to be using the Aries which you can get from cydonia and then we're going to build four store rooms and what this is going to do is when we enter the ship there's going to be one ladder leading straight to the top and then one layer beneath the cockpit is going to be a door leading to everything else in the ship so it's going to be less of a maze and more kind of fluid to navigate put our Landing back down sweet right while we're here let's put the docker on there we go that's the shape we're going to build from this nice and easy right so what we're going to do here is put two three by one engineering Bays down we use both variants and then we'll build underneath there so we'll have one ladder going down to both sides of the ship after that we'll put a storeroom to make it a dead end okay so what we're going to build here is a two by two battle room and then the computer room obviously use whatever variants you want and what you need for your ship I go with pretty much everything that's available so infirmaries workstations the lot so we'll make it a dead end here and then the other side we're going to do the same but we're going to put in two two by ones followed by another store room again making it a dead end so we'll add another three by one Hub we're gonna go for the living quarters on this one we'll put that right in the middle go then we're going to add two more two by one halves just to the side effect so here we're gonna put two more three by one halves so go for both the engineering variants or another living quarters is your choice and then at the end we're going to put more store rooms for dead ends ah perfect we'll do the same again this side [Music] come on man they're snapping honestly there we go so the way this will work you're going through the landing Bay up the store rooms at the back and you can climb all the way to the top in the cockpit and then the layer below there'll be a door leading through here and then you'll get another ladder that leads to the central one the central middle one and that will lead to the two sides of the ship basically so every ladder you find there should be four ladders at either side and they'll either go up or down so you will not be able to get lost your ship won't be a maze yeah peaceful easy all right time to add some engines now so we'll put two of these at the top and then we're gonna use two of my favorites the supernovas they're my go-to engines put them either side [Music] I love these engines they're the coolest looking [Music] spot on okay so now what we're going to do is add some braking engines Stroud Wings dime Moss Wings all of it so the braking engine I saw out there is the taiyo this is what I saw earlier not sure if I like this or not it looks good I just don't know if it suits the ship so I might delete that later on but we're gonna go with my old favorite the uh the dymos braking engine yeah I don't know if it suits or not I might delete that okay so just in the middle we'll put a dymos cowl in then we're going to add a spine that'll finish the uh the central part up yeah spot on so time to add the wings so we're not trying to make it look too like protruding we just want it to basically break up the space so it kind of the ship goes up at a nice nice angle basically we'll put in the bumper do that either side and then behind that is when we'll add the the Stroud wing find it there we go the Shroud nose cap sorry I thought it was called a wing and then from here we're going to add the Nova cowling the three-piece one that's the only one that kind of Suits it really at the end and then we'll put the Stroud apart there and we'll imitate this on the other side so just copy it across if you want to copy quickly by the way for those that don't know uh on PC anyways uh hold Ctrl and press G yeah I like that shape that's good so now we'll add the dymos wings aren't they oh move that forwards then we'll just start adding some more structural stuff to the side just to again break up the shape give it a nice look I do like those bumpers you know yeah we'll go with that and then we'll put the small bumper at the end okay so just do the same this side so just copy it across and then what we're going to do is we're gonna add uh two Stroud sides to just underneath where the cockpit is we're going to use the structure tab to find something cool looking into more wings for the central part and there was a part I saw earlier called the I think it's called hose Tech um I'll just find it if there are hope Tech pipes that's the one so just gives your ship a bit of character really and then we'll build that straight into the wings on the central part and then that is that done copy that across sweet good yeah I've decided I don't like these at all we're gonna put the Stroud ones in and then we might add another break-in engine maybe put like a dymos or Stroud Hull underneath so we can attach Another Broken engine yeah that looks so much better than the taiyo one we'll get rid of them they are nice they are nice Parts but they just don't suit the shape it don't suit what I'm looking to go for another Stroud part as well and for those wondering as well you're going to get an interior view don't worry I'm going to give you a walkthrough of this that's what we're gonna do here we'll add the hull and we'll add another dymos braking engine monster snap sweet so the Gap in between the landing bake and like the storerooms going up to the the cockpit you can actually put the reactor and grab driving stuff in there so you know you can feel the space you can make use of it and it's nicely hidden as well so if I just remove the Stroud part here so you can see where it is there you go look so it's just right there nice and hidden tucked out the way all right so we'll add the grav drive and then the fuel and then we'll add some cargo get a fair amount of cargo on this yeah looks good that does nice and hidden and out the way isn't it lovely right now it's time to put the landing gear in landing gear of your choice of course I gave him a gap in between each one just to break it up a bit and another thing that you can do is add more Cargo in between the landing gear as well obviously it depends what you've got available and you know what money you got to to spend on this ship basically but like I said this is just a good layout video to show you how to get from The Landing Bay up to the cockpit with minimal effort because with a bad layout it's literally like a maze we'll go with that you can use any cargo you want you can also remove one of the bumpers at the top either side and have cargo there as well if you want to go for like a cargo ship style of look your choice looks quite cool right so the ship's done and painted and just to let you know the weapons I used was the obliterator turret and the disruptor turrets so classy weaponry and that's it done we'll save this we'll have a look at her and I'll give you the Grand Tour she looks quite cool I like this ship it's a good little build let's have a look at her well hello bigger than what I thought it was gonna be yeah she is huge absolutely huge all right let's go in and have a look shall we I'll give you the Grand Tour so now I'm Gonna Leave You to enjoy the talk I hope you liked this video though guys I hope you learned
