I tried to build a house without being able to see any color...

I'd like to think that I'm a pretty decent builder in the Sims I mean I build like every day I know the game really well I think I'm okay at it but today I'm gonna put myself in my place because I'm gonna build a house without being able to see any of the colors that I'm using as in I'm gonna try the black and white build challenge essentially I turn my screen all black and white I build a house and then at the end of the video we turn the colors back on and discover to our horror how much of a rainbow nightmare it is because no matter what you can be thinking you're doing the best you've ever built and then you're gonna turn the colors back on and it's gonna look god-awful because all of a sudden you're gonna have purple couches and green walls you thought they were orange it's just it's always a disaster I've done it a few times I'll link my videos down below and I just did a cast one like two weeks ago so those are linked for you if you want to watch me fail and be sad about my ugly houses check those out but this is also absolutely not my idea it's been around in the community for a while and honestly even if you don't make videos please try this challenge it's so much fun it's like my favorite thing to do in the service it's really easy to because you open the color filters thing on your computer all of your computer should have this no matter if you have a PC or a Mac I'm not sure how it works on Mac but it must be similar but you put on a color filter and then you can just turn on the grayscale and all of a sudden you can only see black and white so when you're building I mean some things we recognized like obviously I think a lot of us know the colors of this badly this one's kind of a tealy color you know this one's kind of like a teal and greenish color but there are also a lot of items like for example the new University beds I have literally no idea what any of these are like I have no clue what the swatches are so we're gonna be completely taking a shot in the dark with this challenge quite literally cuz it's all it's all black and white I even wore my spookiest sweater for the occasion but honestly let's just get started I really hope this is sad but I kind of hope the house we build isn't pretty because if it is I'm gonna be sad when it's ugly but you know what I mean I think it'll be really disappointing if you make a pretty house and then it ends up being really bad because our house is bad and and green if we make an ugly house then we won't be as sad when the house turns out not how we wanted to wrap around porch genius it's so wide I didn't it wasn't my plan I was supposed to make a small house so we could do it easily what am i doing all right I've built a shell of a house they spent a few minutes doing this I haven't done anything to the back yet this always happens to me I make like a nice front of a house and I'm like oh yeah the entire back my bad their wraparound porch and some dormers I did it the back is ruined the whole house is ruined but you know what it's about to get worse all right let's just get something cute on the roof I feel like I can't see anything and I can still build the shell of a house just fine without color but for some reason I feel like I'm blinded oh no oh I was gonna use this stone but I don't know which is there these are very similar in color we're gonna have like three different colors of stone on this build that's gonna be so embarrassing I had such high hopes this time honestly like as I was building this part I was like on the show looks kind of good like we're gonna actually pull this off nope you were wrong Sims II you're not gonna pull it off you can never pull it off doesn't matter how good you think you are no one can do this challenge right well I'm picking like the white swatch of the fence so like we can't mess that up watch it ends up being like beige or something instead and I think it's white no we're fine it won't be we're fine this has the white trim so this must be the right color right like that's the right stone that matches it must be you guys oh I didn't think this through do you see what I'm talking about though because these three stones we know it's not the darkest one are they even so okay it must be this one right I can't tell Oh God we're doomed we're doomed I hope it matches I'm gonna be genuinely so sad if it's wrong well we tried our best and that's all that matters right they haven't even gotten to the hard part yet oh no all right I um I think that this one is the gray one so we're gonna go for a light gray I can't tell I'm looking at the siding and I'm like I honestly don't know what any of those colors are because I know there's like there's a yellow one there's white I mean there's like a couple beige options this I think this is the gray one that's the thing I mean I'm trying to use you know pretty bland colors so that I don't ruin anything but honestly it's too late for us it's gonna be bad no matter what alright well folks now's our time let's let's try to make this not horrible to know if that's possible but I will try okay I made a floor plan listen we got a four-bedroom house I don't know what I'm doing this it looks really bad and I'm kind of disappointed in myself you guys I really tried but I feel like it's not turning out well this is so sad and I haven't even like done anything on the inside yet the bad part hasn't even started I almost forgot to put on light in here because okay I couldn't see so I couldn't tell how dark it was and then I was like oh there's not a light my bad but I decorated the dining room I think it looks kind of cute I don't know what color that rug swatches I I don't know what color the chairs are I feel like I this is so embarrassing I'm kind of just like putting things down at this plan like yeah well probably looks okay I've only done one room we're doomed absolutely doomed okay I genuinely think that looks good I I like this kitchen I think that's really pretty oh I hope it looks nice when I put it back in color because I kind of liked the layout of this house man I had to go and build this one in black and white like why couldn't I have made an ugly house in black and white I'm realizing now that I used the jungle-adventure cabinets and I don't know what Barwood tones are gonna match it cuz we have this jungle-adventure bar but like that's is that the vibe I don't I don't think that's the vibe at all is that even the right color ah I've set myself up for failure with this one you know what Cindy it's okay sometimes we make mistakes everybody makes mistakes we've all been there it's fine I'm fine okay well just cross your fingers and hope it's all right I think I'm picking a beige wall right now I'm fairly certain that this one is beige god I really this is gonna be so oh I can just feel it already because I honestly I don't know what color the rug is I don't know what color even like the wall I put behind the cabinet I don't know what the backsplash looks like I mean I thought I was gonna do a lot better at this than I am I came in here honestly kind of confident but that's not how I feel right now all right I picked this color for the bathroom walls I'm rolling with it I'm putting it in all three I'm committing to that color for the bathroom so I really hope it's right should I play a risky game and put this one down cool you know there's a million color options it could be no I'm not gonna hurt myself like that I don't hate myself that much oh no oh no are those couches the same color oh and no one else I didn't put lights in the kitchen or the oh I didn't put lights like anywhere that's my bad I didn't even notice it's dark I can't tell okay you guys I have no idea what I'm doing right now oh this is horrible I think the walls are blue which isn't bad nice blue suburban you know classic you know what we're getting a grand piano I don't even care stunning beautiful wonderful fits perfectly it doesn't even look good like this living room I can't even like pretend to claim that I think it looks nice because we all know the truth it doesn't it doesn't look nice all right we're moving upstairs now i furnish the hallway with just like some random stuff because really who cares all the hallways look the same in all of my houses I can't mess this up this bad right so that's fine let's do the fancy master bathroom sure I don't know all right I know all the beds pretty well Swach wise so I feel kind of sneaky picking one of the ones I know I don't know what this bed looks like I don't remember the swatches on it like at all so I feel more comfortable picking this one because I feel like it's more fair if everything else is gonna be a shot in the dark then this room has to be a shot in the dark to the parents don't get to have a nice room when everyone else gets the sucky ones that's just not allowed if your kids suffer then so do you that's what I always say I think at this point I have genuinely given up like all bets are off all hope is lost like well I don't know what I'm doing anymore I don't know what it looks like we're doomed I'm just picking random paint colors cuz I don't even care anymore I think this room's kind of cute looking though it seems nice in there very peaceful pleasant happy joyous okay then we have three kids rooms should we use kids wallpapers like these ones I guess we have three small children cuz I just put like funky kids wallpapers and all of them I think with the kids rooms the reason these are good is because if they're bad like it won't really matter right like if it's crazy and colorful it's like Oh cuz they're a child they love crazy colors you know it was on purpose for them they asked for it to look weird it's not my fault it's the kids fault you can't blame me for this that's on them oh I've just doomed myself like for real doomed myself by putting that down in here can't wait to see what this looks like genuinely at this point I'm not even gonna be sad when it's bad I'm just gonna be excited maybe this one can be like a cute little nursery with that thing on the floor yeah nice nice cute nursery huh look at that absolutely adorable parents put bookcases in nurseries so they can like read to the infants right so I can we Green to the infants okay I'm sorry listen I can't be held accountable for the things that I say I've been doing this for so long like I've been trying to record a video for like three hours today I can't be trusted I'm aiming for a little Sims II classic green kids room with this one I hope I get it right I mean it'd be really embarrassing if I couldn't even pull this off because I I make this room and like every single one of my sims houses I put a blur fee in every single one of the kids rooms these people love bears can I be done I didn't landscape it oh my god okay I can't believe I didn't even notice that I hadn't landscape the build yet like I really thought the whole outside was finished I wonder how much this house costs we might play a guessing game in a second I'm actually really curious before I show you guys then I want you two to take a guess maybe like type it out in a comment don't post the comment yet but just like type it out so your guess is written down so you can't lie to yourself cuz I see you guys I know what your plans like makes your guess how much the house is gonna cost and then as soon as I finished landscaping we can like check I honestly I have no idea I'm gonna guess ninety-two thousand four hundred and three ninety two thousand four hundred and three is my final answer all right I'm just gonna be done landscaping out okay should we check now eighty thousand nine hundred okay well I was like twelve K off where were you guys how much did you think it costs it's ugly but do you know what this means it might be ugly but it's time for us to turn our color filter back on so alright three two I'm gonna close my eyes one what does it look like I'm scared I didn't I didn't click it okay let's try again three two one oh okay I'm closing my eyes it's pink no okay I'm sorry I really I thought it was gray I thought I'd built a grey house and it's pink you this door doesn't even match huh oh my god I'm sorry okay don't look inside yet this door is not white how did that even happen okay I don't I'm miss painting this oh I can see inside already this is really bad no this this stuff was already in the same color yes oh these blinds are or oh my god okay so for the record I really thought this bar was the same color as these cabinets so that's embarrassing how is this curtain not even white I don't understand how that I okay uh-oh the stairs black I didn't even get the stair color right how okay I think the worst part about this I kind of knew that the fireplace wasn't gonna be a good color I I thought the sofas were the same color so that's embarrassing I think the most embarrassing part is this curtain the first swatch is the white one so I changed it to blue why would I honestly in these orange chairs like you had surely the first swatch is the same oh it's not know you could have they could have matched these I changed them to orange for some reason and the yellow walls in here are pretty embarrassing too also I thought that the table and this thing were the same color so that's that's my bad I I don't know how I messed that up because they're the same they're both from seasons no ugly I also I think these curtains are probably the worst part that's not true everything's the worst part I I just I put the first watch down as soon and it would be white but it wasn't they were orange so my bad fit okay okay okay well I'm you know um so in the master bedroom I I thought all the wood colors were the same so that's embarrassing and my bad I I thought this lamp was white too so that's embarrassing in my bed but the greens I mean I have a green bed in a green rug that works that the purple is fun oh god I don't think the bathrooms are that bad they're fine the UM well they're not good but they're fine this rug kind of ties the room together it's definitely a bold choice but you know cute room for her this you can tell this room is when I really lost it this is what I completely stopped caring I mean I didn't even try to make these things match like that's just that's bad Sims II you suck at this and then this room honestly if the orange curtains weren't there this would match which is pure luck complete and pure luck cuz the rug that could have look at this we could have gotten like some crazies with the rug so the rug is pure luck I thought that I had the green swatch of the the curtain but I didn't I should have known the green one has dinosaurs the orange one I this is the best room in the house the the curtains Willy throw it off but that's the best room this one's okay no it's not it's not oh man I'm so you know like I said I would be happy if it was bad but the thing is like the outside of the house I spent like a long time doing and the inside just went off the rails oh man okay well you live and you learn we knew this was gonna happen we signed up for this I am an extremely talented service builder maybe I'll like renovate this house someday and fix it so that it's less ugly but you guys on that note I'm gonna cut this video a fright here so
