i tried foods people ONLY PRETEND to LIKE *foods people fake*

a few days ago I was on reddit and they came across a very simple question what food do you swear people only pretend to like and all that opened up a whole discussion of foods that people just collectively pretend that they enjoy but in reality none of us actually enjoys these foods so we're gonna start with the first one but first of all I just want to say that I swear that I will tell you my true opinion on these food items if I think there's something sucks it doesn't matter how embarrassing it is because everyone else seems to pretend like they like it I will tell you the truth one of the very top comments on this thread was Lacroix and basically all the comments said oh yes they drink they taste like someone who just ate fruit burped into a can of carbonated water to which someone replied who can resist the flavor of someone shouting lime in the next room I've had Lacroix before I don't really remember it I do think he was particularly terrible but I mean they make a lot of flavors there is four eight there are nine flavors of Lacroix here so I'm pretty sure if one of them is good I will know so this one is grapefruit things I hate it next one is a passion fruit Wow that's even worse if that's possible orange I don't know if my standards are getting lower and lower coconut I was gonna say that it tastes like medicine but I've had better medicine in my life raspberry honestly this was we know bad there is no way anyone would enjoy the first for though this one is tangerine I honestly don't get it I'm trying to keep an open mind here guys what I don't get is next one is lying it's like someone dipped a lime in carbonated water for like three seconds and they were afraid that it was gonna get too spicy oh the berry ones actually not that so I like the raspberry and the berry ones and the last one before we can pull the hastened hopeful into something else is lemon he tastes like he was made by someone who never tasted lemon before like someone read about lemon and that's what they thought it would taste like I like one of them I think the raspberry one is actually good well there's got to be a lot of pretending year not for me I find it hard to believe that some people are not pretending that they like this but I mean like I could be wrong you know it's not that it doesn't have sugar it's that it barely taste so fruit so yeah I do think a lot of people pretend of it like this probably because it's like cool or like healthy another comment on this thread it says caviar how do raw fish eggs taste so remarkable to which someone replied it tastes like a kiss from a lusty mermaid I don't think I've ever eaten caviar before so here we've got black caviar I mean I'm pretty sure this is not the most expensive one I bought it at Walmart let's give it a try I've got some crackers how much do you put in like is that that much so we're gonna put the caviar it smells kind of nice like he doesn't smell fishy which I was expecting maybe it's because it's like the black kind he doesn't smell fishy it tastes very fishy it's literally like kissing a mermaid that's exactly the best way to describe this I didn't love kissing a mermaid I'm not gonna lie it's no from me but I think you feel like fish like if you love a fishy flavor I don't think this is actually that bad it was actually kind of a nice texture it's almost like popping candy from the ocean some of these costs like $500 for like a days much like if you don't get it at Walmart spending that much money for this flavor I don't get that part but I think some people might actually enjoy this I don't know controversial take that's what I actually think um wow that was literally the definition of this whole video so let's move on to the next or Nike no wait this has been a great experience overall I bet some of you guys were already expecting this to be in this video but another very popular answer was candy corn someone said I like it and even I think I'm faking it so a candy corn is something that is very much specific to like America it's like something that I think is popular for Halloween Thanksgiving maybe so this is what it looks like it's weird I think I've had it like once or twice before and I think I like it honestly maybe this is one of those things that you have to eat it since you were a kid in order to enjoy it but I honestly find it really hard to believe that some people might not enjoy this it tastes like it's like sweet almost it's a condensed milk that's like probably the best way to describe it I love it I think that's good enough to honestly say that I think some people generally like it because I honestly really really like candy corn another very popular answer was phone time so someone said phone down on those pretty cakes you see people on those cake TV shows chowing down on the disgusting play-doh it smells of their faces so phone line it's like a very controversial thing I honestly have never met a person who loves it I don't like it so in order to test this out we've got one cupcake that is called the thickest layer of fondant on top and then we've got one which is literally the same cupcake but with frosting okay I'm gonna give it a try first to the regular cupcake wait even the icing is way too much so this one is basically the same adult but covered in fondant which I honestly think everyone's pretending to enjoy this oh my god it's not even a whole lot sweeter than the frosting it's just a texture you can see my teeth marks off I have to give it to them guys I don't think this is enjoyable the texture like the artificial callers I don't think there's anything that makes this desirable and he honestly doesn't taste good so I think this is one of those foods that we're all pretending that it tastes fine that it's like just to justify those beautiful 3d cakes because in reality this just sucks so the next one is coconut water which is interesting I honestly don't even know how I feel about it so this is like a real coconut so you know we're getting the real deal so lots of people think that coconut water actually doesn't taste good at all and it's just like a trendy thing and like people just want to seem cool when they're drinking out of a coconut I think I've drank out of a coconut before and kind of enjoyed it but let's give it a try this tastes pretty blend but still more flavorful and look right I honestly like it it reminds me of being on holiday I think it's good like I didn't see like how if you're expecting like coconut juice like straight-up sweet this is not it but at the same time I don't find it disappointing I like it I'm gonna probably drink the whole thing right now so I think that's enough proof that some people might enjoy it I mean please if if you're one of those people who actually likes coconut water please back me up otherwise I'm completely alone on this but this is actually nice this next one was a you very popular answer celery so Lords of people think the only reason why we all think their salary is even good it's just because it's healthy then no one actually enjoys the flavor of it so I'm already predicting what's gonna happen I'm gonna try this not enjoy it and then everyone is gonna come in the comments and say that's because you can't have celery on its own you have to have it with the dip or whatever so I also got this dip that I actually enjoy like I've had this before and like it's something that I enjoy so if this is enjoyable with the dip that I enjoy with Doritos then they're not then this is actually doable there's a lot of crunch it's like echoing my mind I wouldn't have it again just because I know like vegetable but it's not bad this would be great just to like just to lick in the DEP and just go for more disgusting is this actually enjoyable is this something that I think people like I don't think so it tastes really like there's no flavor it is aggressive and like peppery and then the texture of it to me is just way too much crunch and then you go all these like weird fibers they're like I don't think this the next item is past the salads so this is something that honestly I never have pasta salad I think someone described it as being the worst part of salads because it's cold and the worst part of pasta because it's all like mushy and like I don't know I have passed a lot sometimes I have salad now pass the salad let's see Wow whoever described this as being the worse of pasta and the worse of salad is literally dead off it doesn't have any flavor like a salad like and then it's got the consistency of pasta but no soul Italian people didn't come up with pasta for us to do this to it so now I'm trying to think like is there any food that is similar to this that is really popular but no I didn't see myself ever enjoying this I don't really know you guys let me know about this one I'm not gonna decide because it was my first time trying it it was kind of surprised about the next one because the next one is grapefruit and I was actually thinking about it I've had a grapefruit flavored stuff before I've never actually eaten grapefruit so it is possible if this is something that people just enjoy the fake flavor of it so everything pretends like oh I love great food but in reality do you actually love an actual grapefruit I think someone described it as a better tasting orange wow it's a lot darker than like um more like an orange nice for sure so let's give it a try I don't have to taste this anymore it tastes salty and bitter that is exactly what it tastes like this honestly tastes like nature is playing a prank on us like there is no way that something looks like that this actually looks like you'll taste sweet think how does every time you get grapefruit flavored anything it taste so good and then I'm pretty confident when I say that I think people are pretending to enjoy this so can I please just move on to the next when they never I'll never ever make this mistake ever again black licorice okay I'm gonna just straight-up tell you that I don't like this I've had it before maybe like once or twice the first time I came to America I think I thought I've seen people eating this in movies and I was pretty sure it would be good this is like I don't know I don't like it I really wouldn't oh I'm gonna have to swallow that no I dislike licorice so badly that this is gonna sound crazy but I stopped eating pepperoni because I could taste a hint of this in it and I stopped eating it because I don't know why I make this connection of black licorice in pepperoni someone like any flavor experts will let you know in the comment section why I do this but I make this connection and I've literally there's certain places that I don't get pizza from because I can taste the trauma of the first time I had black licorice this is basically sugar and corn syrup so it's not even healthy so it's not even one of those things where like maybe people are picking this because it's a healthier candy so no I think people truly enjoy this like for others that is I think people love it for a change I've never actually tried this next one this one was very high up in the answers this is I don't know how to pronounce it come for check kombucha I don't know how to pronounce it it's a probiotic culture drink so this is like full of like life stuff like I don't know it's like yeast or something guess Bradley's like pomegranate lemonade this tastes the way beer smells and I've never had beer because of the way I smell this video is making me seem so picky about food but I swear if you go and watch any of my videos I literally enjoy most foods it's just that the stuff on there is obviously foods that people pretend to like I think this is one of those that falls into the category of like 60% of the people think this is healthy and they should have it this is my least favorite thing in the whole video finally something that talks licorice this is the opposite of Lacroix this is like too much you like warm I honestly don't join this I'm not gonna open the other ones because someone will enjoy this and I'll give it to them I I think it's the base like the probiotic culture base that it's like it tastes like fermented I never like when things are like that I like deer for example just the smell of it I've never tried it because I hate that like I don't know the next item is capers so I don't even know exactly what capers are I've never eaten a caper like at least not on its own maybe I've eaten there's like mixed with foods so I think this is popular like I don't even know where but apparently tastes salty it is so salty that people think it tastes like a like a booger a host I don't hate it it tastes like olives and mustard mixed together that's exactly I think I just described the perfect way to describe the flavor of capers but honestly I like it I guess a lot of people hate olives as well and then a lot of people love it so it's just one of those things they might be like 5050 I feel like I could have many of these kind of giving me a headache actually so I don't know do I even like it am i pretending all right so this one is also up there with candy corn except I've never actually even heard of this this is called circus peanuts and honestly I've never even heard of this in my life why is he called peanuts and it smells like banana that either smells like banana or fresh paint it looks like a peanut it doesn't it honestly doesn't make any sense they're so light has he made up I'm so interested I've never eaten anything like that it's tough and fluffy look what it looks like a peanut it tastes like banana it's also tough and if you'll stale but then you bite into it and he melts in your mouth I think I feel pressure to pretend like I like it but I don't think I do any so confuse in this video I honestly don't know if I'm being truthful or not and I don't love it but I kind of want to go for more so that probably means I like it I don't know how I feel about this I don't know how I feel about any of this video at this point so this one I didn't want to get it because I don't know exactly what it is and it's a vegetable but also so many people said that everyone is pretending to enjoy okra okra okra Winfrey it looks like a cucumber but people said something about the texture like I don't understand it tastes like a chili pepper - the spice which is literally idea for someone like me you can handle spicy I don't think that oh the texture is kind of slimy sometimes you get a bit of like like this sticky fingers kind of situation but overall when you bite into it's just very seedy um - oh that's like snot on the inside but I don't hate it the flavor makes it worth it to me probably a very unpopular opinion but I find the flavor of it worth the weird texture I don't think it's that bad maybe like the big ones are more slimy because I think that's what someone said they were slimy we need to bring back my dip because I would actually enjoy that that was a lot of new experiences for one venue but hopefully you guys enjoyed that if you did honestly it would mean the world to me if you could give this video a like because that usually lets me know that you would like to watch a part too and also if you've got a food that you're very suspicious that people are pretending to enjoy and that they don't actually enjoy it let me know in the comments section down below because honestly this is something there fascinates me because I think there's so much pretending when it comes to food some people pretend to like foods to fit in into certain like scenarios like it's like these very complex things I think I think this is like an
