so what's browsing through the steam next fest for new games i wasn't having much luck so i decided to search for my usual type of game i came across this raven field now i played this back in the day on itch i o used to be free now it costs a tenner but the reviews are overwhelmingly positive and blitz plays it so it can't be that bad and more importantly in the workshop there's loads and loads of by oncoming attackers so on the map we'll be starting here on our base we've got these three points where enemies will be spawning in the sandbox but also out here on the lawn so here we are here's our army med look at the wall oh they're shooting already see oh you can see way in the distance if we try and oh we got a hit we got a hit we got planes flying overhead but you can hear our anti-aircraft guns oh man oh there's paratroopers there's paratroopers right switch from a flamethrower eat some of that yep flame against plastic is pretty strong all right got to watch out for power troopers i didn't realize that was a thing that was good to see an enemy tank has been destroyed and oh dear what has happened in here i think oh yes yes confirmed our team has blue blood so if we grab one of these eat some of that eat some of that all right this is an absolute blood bath oh you can see on the horizon there's a tank yeah there's also a spade as well and if you look in the air there's also an apache i think he's on our team very realistic to the world war two toy soldier thing if we head along these trenches we do have some rpg sort of things because where's that tank oh the tank is down it's fine what about a long ranger ready oh got him no and then i'm down oh i'm not down i'm not down i've got 46 health right there's people getting close to our trenches gotta get out the flamethrower eat that archer eat flames all right oh no i can see someone there in our trench they're in our trench ready eat this no i'm out run all right time to use my pistol oh i just shot my i i think i just shot my own bloke in the back i just found out i can reload my flamethrower it's okay the ammo goes on the end apparently interesting but oh god that guy was close oh what a shot oh no what a shot by them as well i think he just took my head off don't worry though we're back in and i think i'm gonna try and get in this oh there's another flame for it oh no can i not i can't control the artillery oh yes i can yes i can all right ready eat that mate oh i got two of them the tank over there that's what we got to take out oh oh i forgot about i forgot about the drop how far away is that 16 how was that shot a little bit low how about that oh i just about got him and another one boosh and disabled the tank nice all right just took out those two over there there's another is that a tank what is that i don't know what it was it was balloon he he got shot sat there helicopter let's have a go oh come on oh i think i missed i definitely missed oh they're shooting me i mean actually i should probably point at the air and there's a plane coming in i got killed by that lump of blood apparently that actually looks like a face like a weird coffee bean man he's just been sick he's just warmed blue down his chest anyway come on lads on me you look a bit laid back there mate considering a war all right i'm gonna try and sneak down the edge of the map i'm gonna try and take a flag on my own or am i there's people right there i play this right i could flamethrow them oh someone beat me to it all right long range snipe in your face what is over there i can see i can see some enemies hang on it's a bit barren over here ah get up get up get up well when i say up i mean get down because there's a tank coming uh oh dear oh dear maybe he hasn't seen us maybe he hasn't seen us i don't think that one has either ah they have they have they have all right headshot for you another one for you our tank killed me from over there right i've got myself into an apache helicopter i'm not sure this is sensible but um got a gunner in the front so yeah good look around the map now we've got we got like nerf guns over here do i have missiles on these oh yeah that's it mate eat some of that all right ready missiles yeah i think you want to try and take the nerf gun down nice double kill that's it mate that's it and again come on mate i'm giving you such an easy kill shoot down there we go there we go all right meanwhile we need to try and take this nerf gun there's so many people there all right ready all right reloading my rockets mr machine gun man you've gotta do the business he is useless there you go at least i'm doing something on my own oh i'm racking up the kills now gotta love a bit of spawn killing a bit of an architect move but um oh hang on hang on we're being shot we've been found out by someone all right let's try and take out this tank eat missiles tank yes uh well that that didn't end too well man look at all the blue blood everywhere it's horrible god try and take some of these down though they're getting too close i say get back get back ow ow ow damn you copper i wonder what the residents are thinking they're like looking out just seeing like well it's like the film toy soldiers literally i'm getting back in the chopper good good job all right come on who's getting in who's getting in i need a gun up someone get in why is no one getting in why are you shooting me all right sorry i'm on my own i'm on my own we're going lone wolf defending the base from the skies eat some of that get out my base oh that's a lot of kills there that was a lot of kills oh look at all these guys grouped together sorry paul all right they're all done nice out we are being shot by something out what are we being shot by this bloody plane oh look there's a helicopter there eight missile helicopter yes it's going down in flames right we've really really got to push them back now they are storming the area ow ow ow out i think we're about to lose but look green army blokes heading this direction so i'm going to join them although i am down to 11 health oh here we are this hills you and gives you ammo nice okay all right i think that along this trench i'm gonna head along this way stealth style and apparently just watch them all be slaughtered because i didn't need to help oh look i found a bridge there's a bridge you know what that means bridge review it's just a sheet of plastic headroom isn't great i keep getting stuck underneath but on the top it shows the blood splatters of the enemy it's also fire resistant as well simple but effective i give this a 3.2 out of 10 bridge review right there's a lot of people around the corner eat flame oh i killed myself i got too excited with my flamethrower oopsie all right why you all stood next to question is can we spawn by this nerf gun it doesn't actually look like we can i thought there'd be like a flag for us to take so instead what about we go to yeah okay it's down here down in this muddy patch there's potentially another flag the grass texture really isn't that great when you get close oh look it's their helicopter oh there's the flag can we take their flag do i need to jump out i'm not sure we're taking it mate do you think we're doing this right i'm not convinced all right let's get back in anyway man look at this battlefield it is covered in blood and paint and all sorts this game was only a tenner and this is a mod as well don't know what the actual game looks like i just killed a lot of blues my bad i don't think you've really been over to this base yet so let's head over here is there a flag to take i don't see you on yeah wow wow he shot us oh i'm out my neck my neck oh no i got flattened by my own helicopter there's so many on that hill let's get the shot right come on boosh all right well anyway guys this was a lot of fun it's been awesome to revisit this game uh it's come a long way the mods have really really made this better maybe next time to play against actual people though i feel like i'm kicking their ass a bit too much and although there's there's people right there there's people right there oh i shot over their head you idiot matt oh no
